  • Hi everyone,

A cold (9ยฐC) but with clear blue skies and sunshine day here ๐Ÿ™‚

    Jo,

After I had finished doing the hall, bathroom and kitchen my shoulders, arms and upper chest were all very stiff, sore and aching which is why I gave myself a week off DIY. I finished the kitchen last Saturday morning and today is the first day I’m without pain or stiffness in my upper body. The repetitive actions that we don’t usually undertake are the culprits.
By last weekend my arms were so sore I had problems putting on/taking off tops, sweatshirts etc as raising my arms was so difficult ๐Ÿ˜†
The other thing I noticed was how tired I was and as a consequence, how well I’ve been sleeping

I’m going to the gym tomorrow morning for the first time in a few weeks and in the afternoon I’m going to get on with the remaining tasks on my list.

Take care not to overdo it. I know it’s tough to have to remind ourselves we are no longer 25 but it is necessary for self preservation!

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

A sad reality of our aging, isn’t it, Amazon? That’s how I injured my hip…repetitive action that was abnormal while gardening, 2 months ago. ๐Ÿคจ It still aches terribly at night if I’m cold. We are having an unusually cold spring, but at least the rain has meant the garden looks wonderful.
Remembering to take regular breaks and change the action often seems to be absolutely vital to avoid paying for it for weeks in pain.
Take care, everyone (except our young’ns Happy and RT ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰) P

Thanks P happy to claim that title I played lawn bowls yesterday as a fun raiser for a local Beyond Blue campaign a lady is shaving off her dreadlocks and has raised over $4k there was the usual array of bbq meat and side dishes i plated the meat put coleslaw and onions on the side and had a good old fashion Sunday afternoon..I look forward the fast today take care and be good to you fast trackers
    Peace RT

    RT,

I forgot to say thanks for the last episode of Friday funnies. They were excellent ๐Ÿ˜†

    Purple,

I’m dreadful for overdoing things and paying for it afterwards as I get so involved in what I’m doing I don’t stop until I can barely move.

    I should know better…..

Well done RT. A good cause.
I had 3 social situations, during the weekend, where cakes and biscuits were on offer. I went prepared with crunchy Pink Lady apples and happily chomped my way through them. I find it much easier to avoid temptation if I am prepared for it. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ P

Me too, Amazon. I never KNOW I’m overdoing it until later ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿคจ. Extreme gardening is often my downfall. I’m planning a thorough clean of woodwork today…to fill a fast day…and must remember not to get TOO carried away. ๐Ÿ™„ P

I guess we should be grateful that we are capable of overdoing things…โ€ฆ..

I’m going to the gym tomorrow for the first time in a while and I need to be mindful or I’ll be hobbling around on Tuesday.

    Morning All,
RT -Did you enjoy Lawn Bowls?
It is an addictive sport, be careful!

Only worked 6 hours yesterday, thank goodness, we run out of plasterboard and sanding sheets. Fortunately discover we could attach the sander to the hoover so I can carry on with the cloud of dust getting in my lungs(and everywhere else).

The scraping did effect my right hand, very sore but the rest of the body survived well.
I will be sanding walls everyday this week. Such a big house, so much to get done. Wish they had only tackled one room at a time but not practical when both plumbing and retiring being done. Personally I think the Christmas deadline is a non starter but we shall see.

Fasting today which should be easy as no cooking facilities or food at the house. I will take an Apple.

Have a good day everyone, cold, wet, windy and miserable here, Winter is here BRRHHH ! Feels cold enough for snow. Clear view of France from my lounge window today, very rare to see it.

    Hi everyone,

    It’s very wintry here today.

I managed to haul myself out of bed and go to the gym this morning. The getting out of bed is the most difficult part, after that it’s all good.
I did my usual 30 minutes on the bike but only 5 minutes on the rowing machine, all my stretches and other exercises but no weights as my arms have only just recovered and I was determined not to overdo it after not going for a month.

I might go again tomorrow but I’ll decide in the morning.

FD here and so far so good.

    Jo,

It’s much better to do the whole house in one go because even if you do one room at a time and close all the other doors, the dust gets everywhere.

Sounds like an ambitious project but you never know it might all work out and be finished by Christmas.

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

    Hi everyone,
Had cortisone injections in both wrists today as not so bad that I need an operation (thank goodness), so here I am almost back and work, lol.
Another weekend away and no loss but no gain either, so for me that’s good.
Will be taking it easy for the next couple of days just to give everything a chance to settle down.
Loved all the stories and laughs, glad I didn’t see the airline ones before flying hahahaha.
Not typing much as need to rest the wrists for as long and as much as I can.
    Cheers,
    AO

Wintery here, too, Amazon ๐Ÿ™ A southerly blast bringing snow to southern places yesterday (to the delight of the tourists). Windows are closed for the night, and the heating is on. At least it has cleared up in this bit of the country, gloriously clear evening so I could synthesis some vitamin D with a cup of tea after work.

Best of luck with this option, AO. Trust it works for you, never fun going under the knife.

Your son will be thrilled with the result, Jo, and I hope he is appreciating how much free labour he is benefiting from. Here am I, looking at one room – ‘course I am a bit older than you ๐Ÿ™‚

I second Barata, AP. Fingers crossed this is a good solution. P ๐Ÿ˜Š

I pushed out yesterdayโ€™s fast till noon today last meal 6pm Sunday so a nice 42 hour fast to kick off this week.
Jo I loved it and had a blast but it was a social match mixed up with all different ages experiences and uni sex teams bowling styles plus dress sense it was 37.8deg on Sunday much amber fluid consumed at the change of ends with many laughs had and a goodly amount of cash raised with car boot sales food and drink stalls raffles and feeโ€™s I am a social guy so I find mixing with new people fascinating and enjoyable Yfee on the other hand would be happy to never leave the house and now the local Woolworths offer shop and go service that will be one less outing for her (sadly) still I shall keep on keeping on. The turf here at the local RSL is a synthetic number and is very very quick ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
Indeed best on ground was probably the โ€œgutterโ€ ๐Ÿ˜†
    RT

Do I need to move you into the “oldies” group now RT? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰

Lol! And the gutter strikes again?

    Morning/evening all,

Coldest day of the year so far, 4C, wet and very windy.
Sounds like a day spent at home is on the agenda.

I am hopeless at bowling. I’m sure I could improve with practice but have neither sufficient interest or patience ๐Ÿ˜†

I’m amazed not to be sore or stiff after my first day at the gym for several weeks. I guess all that DIY has helped with my fitness.

    Who knew…โ€ฆ.

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

    Morning All,
AO, good news about the wrist definitely avoid surgery unless necessary as longer recouperation and higher risk of infection.

No change on scales for me either weighed last Saturday but pushing on with fast today.

RT – I play on artificial turf when I play in Spain, itโ€™s a similar adjustment to Indoor mat play. Some of our Outdoor clubs are switching to Artificial grass at great expense due to cost of maintenance but I donโ€™t think itโ€™s a good idea. Playing on grass is wonderful, harder work but a far more skilful game. The green is different after every mowing and therefore the skill in weight and line adjustment very precise. I promise that every bowler does their share of ditch shots when changing rinks or playing away games on fast rinks. We have all ages at our clubs but dominated by over 60โ€™s. I just trained two 30โ€™ year old guys who loved it, ex footballers that have taken it up due to knee injuries. I myself took up bowls after repeated shoulder injuries playing badminton. Most bowlers I speak to did other sports, especially golf. We have three England players(all ladies) in the area who all started playing as children because their parents played. I will be teaching my grand child as many sports as possible but especially bowls. I love the social aspect of the game, food and drink could be healthier but most players love the comfort food and many like a beer or wine after a game. A few drink during or before games too. Travelling bowlers often drink quite a bit as no driving ( coach travel) doesnโ€™t seem to effect their game.

Weather here filthy, wet, cold and very windy.

Barata- my son appreciates our โ€˜freeโ€™ labour. His girlfriend is in no condition to help sadly. She is also allergic to dust so itโ€™s not the place for her at the moment. I have no issue with DIY, I have been doing my own decorating since I was able to use a paint brush. My sonโ€™s future FIL is a builder so has brought in specialists when needed buteverything we can do ourselves saves money. He has costed the transformation of the 4 bed house to 150 thousand so out joint work is going to save a huge amount. Off to sand some more walls now, not a bad job with correct equipment. High bits are tiring though, my neck muscles are very sore. The house has no running water or heating which is not great working conditions but I am only doing 6 hours today. My husband and son have now learned plaster boarding skill as they are doing all the ceilings. Quite hard finding joists though, drilling from above mostly as they are quite tricky to do from measurement only.

Amazon – DIY is definitely keeping me fit which is just as well because I have cancelled my other activities to work at the house. Donโ€™t have the energy to do both I am afraid.

I’m curious, Jo. What are the walls made of? I have renovated about 8 houses in our married life and never sanded walls, only woodwork. Our walls are plaster, so just need wiping and painting or replacing. Repairs, filling damage, requires sanding, but not whole walls. Are they timber?
The dusty stuff, for us, has always been ripping out walls and tiles. Oh, the memories!!! P

    Hi PVE,

Yes the walls are plaster and yes I am sanding doors and skirting boards too. The walls and ceiling were all previously covered with wall paper, polystyrene tiles and ceramic tiles. Ceilings were lathe and very damaged due to water damage in the past. In fact some joists had to be replaced as rotten.

The whole place is being replastered over boards or skimmed so I need to remove paper glue residue and repair old cracks. All saves expense when plastering team arrives next week. Actually wall are quite good, ceilings not viable though.

Front door had about 11 coats of paint which was hell but it is original with stained glass so we are saving it and bringing it back to its former glory.

My DIY is on hold due to the weather. I can’t do any work on the windows without leaving them open which I’m not prepared to do when it’s only 4ยฐC and outside work can’t be done as nothing will dry.

I bought a copy of the updated Life on Earth by David Attenborough. I never got round to buying the original so I’m curled up on the sofa reading it.
That should keep me out of mischief……

I’m experimenting with eating at lunchtime on FDs in a bid to keep warm. I’ve just had a bowl of pumpkin curry. I found the recipe on line and it led me to a website full of Indian recipes many of them vegetarian and vegan.
I’m looking forward to exploring it further and trying out more of the recipes and if they are as good as the pumpkin curry I’ll be a very happy woman ๐Ÿ˜€

We had a similar situation when we bought this house, Jo, but as it is timber, we covered all the old papered walls with a new layer of plasterboard. We emplyoyed plasters. They were staggeringly quick, so I only had to paint. In the past, we’ve done it ourselves, and taken forever. ๐Ÿคจ
The benefit of the double layer of plaster is greater insulation.

Amazon, I have shifted our fastday “meal” to about 5-5:30 during the winter for the same reason. Enjoy yous. P

Hi Fast Trackers and Hello World (You All know Who You ARE) ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Aches and Pains

At a nursing home a group of senior citizens were sitting around talking about their aches and pains.
“My arms are so weak I can hardly lift this cup of coffee,” said one.
“I know what you mean. My cataracts are so bad I can’t even see my coffee,” replied another.
“I can’t turn my head because of the arthritis in my neck,” said a third.
“My blood pressure pills make me dizzy,” another contributed.
“I guess that’s the price we pay for getting old,” winced an old man.
Then there was a short moment of silence.
“Thank God we can all still drive,” said one woman cheerfully.

Have A Happy Weekend All You beautiful Losers ๐Ÿ˜†
    Peace RT

    Hi All,
RT – the joke was funny but I would certainly hate to give up my driving licence but I have to admit that I am finding night driving a lot more difficult these days. I guess I need to get another sight test. I rake my specs off for close work and reading but distance is not even sharp when wearing my specs.

This is just a short post as I wrote a long one the other night then discovered I was locked out and lost the post. Arrggghhh!

    Have a good weekend everyone

I trust this isn’t the same sort of raking that takes place in Finnish forests, Jo?

    Morning/evening all,

Thanks RT, it’s always good to start my day with a giggle ๐Ÿ™‚

I had a lovely afternoon yesterday visiting my niece and great nephew. When I arrived they were making a cake and I was able to assist my niece in preventing all the raisins from being eaten before the cake got into the oven ๐Ÿ˜†

My niece is looking very well, she’s expecting her second baby mid January and once she got past the nausea stage it’s been all good. I am really looking forward to welcoming another child into the family.

Another week almost gone, fasting going well and hopefully I’ll be rewarded when I step on the scales although I deviated from the plan slightly yesterday as there was no way I was getting away from eating a piece of the cake without risking a temper tantrum from the 3 year old chef….

I ate a very small slice, then declared it delicious and so filling I couldn’t possibly eat any more ๐Ÿ˜†

I’m starting work on the living room today so it’ll be a DIY weekend. The weather forecast say COLD so a weekend inside keeping busy and out of the kitchen is an excellent plan IMO.

Have a good weekend everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

Just returned from A & E at local hospital. Really stupid incident happened to me after getting a tablet stuck in my throat in the wee small hours. I couldnโ€™t sleep due to hip pain so I took a 10 Mg amitryptoline(muscle relaxant) at 3 am. Unfortunately it got stuck in my throat. I just drank more water and did not give it another thought. Itโ€™s a very tiny blue tablet. However 2 hours later I awoke unable to breathe and with a burning throat. I dragged myself to the bathroom choking all the way, the remains of the tablet returned to my mouth. I drank water which immediately rejected as I couldnโ€™t swallow. I got some more water out of the fridge and drank it very slowly from the bottle, this worked better but my throat was on fire and I had a sharp pain in my right shoulder. I decided that I needed to get to the hospital as it was possibly an allergic reaction my throat felt very swollen. After a 2 hour wait to see a Nurse Practitioner I was released as my airways clear and says OK plus no rash. I am now sucking on fruit lolly to ease the burning throat. What a scare! It certainly raised my blood pressure probably due to panic and shock. So now resting up today, no dance class or decorating for me Amazon but good luck with your DIY.

Barata please tell me more, my spelling error obviously raised a laugh with you.
Sunny here today but still very chilly.

Oh Jojo, glad it ended well.

I did not see the mirthful spelling mistake.
Here it is wet and wet.
I did a good fast yesterday and haven’t yet broken it.
    Happy Thanksgiving, HCB and Myrph.
My daughter is en route for New York for work today and because it is a holiday weekend, she won’t have to work when she arrives.
We have been on the move. First a very wet weekend in London, and a 5 day stay in Lucca, Italy. I don’t see my grandies every week of course, but was amazed by way the 4 year old is manipulating 2 languages so seamlessly. He is into dinosaurs, and knows all the long names and characteristics of each- in English and Italian.
It’s 750 km to Lucca and it takes a long day to drive. We are off to Bournemouth next weekend, then back to Italy.
I am thinking of doing an open+ended fast starting on Sunday. My head is in a good place for that.
    Have a lovely weekend.
    xx Wiwi

    Hi Wiwi,
Great to hear you are doing well.

I am having a real problem swallowing but apart from that I feel fine. I think it will be a liquid diet for a few days.

You travel so much, I am very envious.

    Keep Fasting

    Hi everyone,

Jo’s errors aren’t all spelling. This one was a typo as she obviously hit r instead of t so we got rake rather than take.

    Jo,

That must have been very frightening for you. I’m glad it was just irritation and not an allergic reaction.

I’ve had a very busy day doing DIY and am making good progress.
As hoped, my FD flew by and I’ve just had spicy beans with green veg which was very filling and tasty.

That’s 4 FDs completed this week, two of which have been nearer to 700 calories than 500 but I’m happy with that.

    Wiwi,

I think your weekend in London coincided with the worst weather we’ve had since it snowed in March!

    Morning All,
    Cold foggy day today.
ambled around the park wtih dogs. A boy (about 7) came up and warned me off going near the fence by the clifftop as some bored teenagers have pulled out dividing fence. He said he wouldnโ€™t want my dogs to get hurt. His dog had just been saved by a local man who grabbed his collar just in time. I was really impressed with his community spirit and verbal communication. I put my dogs on leads and thanked him and told his mum she must be very proud of her son. Gives me hope when I meet such children, most are so self absorbed.

Amazon – hope the decorating is going well?
I am resting today after yesterdayโ€™s scary experience. Throat not too bad today, swallowing painful but bearable. Not helping out at the house this weekend because I donโ€™t think the dust will do me much good.

So just chilling with a book, autobiography by Phil Collins, good read.
    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Hi everyone,

    Cold, dull and damp here.

    Jo,

I’ve still got my nose in the updated Life on Earth.

Excellent decision to keep away from the dust and give your throat time to heal. I expect your body could do with a rest too.

DIY going very well, I did all the repairs and painted the walls yesterday and painted the ceiling today. As soon as I’d finished I decided I’ve had enough DIY for the day and am spending the afternoon relaxing plus my knee has had enough of ladders and needs some TLC.
The woodwork will be started on tomorrow.

I’ve put all the pictures etc back on the wall which make it seem more like home and less like a goldfish bowl.

I have to say I’m really enjoying making my flat beautiful again and despite the aches and pains and disruption ( musical chairs in the bedroom and kitchen where I’ve decanted some of the furniture). Having said that, I’ll be mightily pleased when everything is finished.
It has given me the incentive to clear out cupboards and tidy everything and I’ve been ruthless. Anything that’s been untouched in the back of a cupboard for several years has either been recycled or chucked out, which means more workspace in the kitchen and will mean a tidier living room without piles of books etc in every available (and occasionally encroaching on an already occupied) space or surface ๐Ÿ˜†

I just have to hope my memory is still functioning well enough to remember where each and every item has been stashed. ๐Ÿคฃ

We seem to have lost HCCB. I hope she is OK.
    And where is Happy?

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

Jo, did you realise Librans’ weakness is our throats? Glad your crisis was easily mended. We had a massive dust storm over the whole of NSW last week. I’ve had a sore throat since ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™„ The more you swallow, the sorer they get.
I had a surprise, last night, walking through a doorway in north Queensland, your double, Jo, coming the other way!!! I had to tell her. She was excited to have a double on the other side of the world. It took me a while to realise that it couldn’t be you ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Internet is very poor/patchy here, so I have lost a fee posts. Thanks for the funnies RT. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ We live in an area with many retirees…they are obviously the people in your latest offering!!!
    Cheers from the tropics, P

    Hi PVE,
Throat much improved over today thanks, hoping it wonโ€™t go to infection. Might purchase some Jagermeister tomorrow, very numbing effect(of more than my throat)

I would certainly have said that I was prone to sore throats as a young girl and woman but since I have been on Kefir daily I seem to have avoided colds and throat infections. My hubby too has suffered less colds since accepting his shot of Kefir every day. Of course these things also tie in with retiring from work. But we do socialise daily and the bowls circuit is renowned for colds and flu going around twice per year not to mention tummy bugs. I guess my immune system is strong now.

Not a believer in birth signs, never read my horoscope either.

I do have relatives in Australia, Sunshine Coast, maybe you met one? My cousin married an Australian Girl, he was much older than me so his children could be my age. I doubt that they would know me, we met as children only. Did you get a photograph? When I was working on my family history I discovered that many of my relatives emigrated to get work and a few were exported as criminals. In those days it didnโ€™t take a lot to be classified as a criminal. Hard Times. There is a town in America with my fathers surname I often wonder if it was linked to my relatives.

Enjoyed my restful day, much sewing completed.

I have a double in this area as well, many people mistake me for a lady called Karen. I am obviously a very common type. In fact I have often been told that people have seen my double, weird isnโ€™t it? Does everyone get this? My partner said he has never been told he has a double.

    Morning/evening all,

It’s Monday so it must be a FD.

    Another day of painting beckons.

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

Continuing on the 3-4 protocol MWF so a fast day today our 4th son will be home for the weekend yfee is very excited and upbeat for that all the boys will be down for a family nosh up and get together last son has now completed year 12 and eagerly awaits the Atar level achieved due out on December 19th which will determine his University direction he is having a gap year to earn and save some money (Welcome to the real world)
    Happy Hump day thrill seekers.
    Keep on keeping on.
    RT

    Exciting RT.
I told my youngest he had had 13 years of ‘gap year’ already, when he left school. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ All the best for your lad.
You are now embarking on the next phase of your lives. Enjoy. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Sweltering in the hot tropics right now. P

P you may want to get one of the kids or a friendly neighbor to check on your house
insane amount of rain with flash flooding right now in Sydney as 80+ fires burn in QLD burn out of control and 8 of our local fire fighters are heading up there to put their shoulder to the wheel…
    Only in Australia

    Morning/evening all,

It’s a dull, grey, rainy day here โ˜”โ˜”โ˜”

Monday’s fast went well and it’s FD no 2 today. If all goes well the painting will be finished today.

    I can’t believe it’s now less than 4 weeks until Christmas ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฅ‚

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

Thanks RT. The family have checked and all is ok. Mindblowing amount of water fell, while up here, we are experiencing record breaking temps. The weather has becone mad. P

Glad to hear that you are all ok in Oz.
Frosty day here in France, but fine.
I started a 6 day fast after lunch on Sunday and I am going strong after nearly 72 hours. So I have eaten 1 carrot and had 2 teaspoons of milk in one cup of tea(which I won’t repeat), otherwise only coffee, mint green tea and fizzy water. The only effect is that I feel just a bit heady (ketones) and I need salt in the afternoon. I’ve got a week with no social commitments, so it has been possible.
I will break it on Saturday in Bournemouth with porridge after 140 hours, all going well.
It’s a while since I did a full blown fast, and it’s the head which needs to be in the right space to carry it through.
Glad your painting is nearing the end, Amazon. Do you feel a bit heady when you are on 2 day fasts? I wouldn’t like to be working from a ladder today.
    Off to visit a neighbour.
    xx Wiwi

I’m VERY impressed Wi. Go girl. ๐Ÿ˜ŠP

    Wiwi,

I am also very impressed ๐Ÿ™‚

My B2B FDs are both 500 calories most of which are consumed at dinner and as I rarely eat before noon on any day I’ve been fine apart from the day I steam cleaned the kitchen when I felt light headed. I looked at the clock and it was 3pm which meant I’s been working for 6 hours without a break or a drink since my morning cuppa.

I’m actually taking a coffee break at the moment before starting my last stint up the ladder.

    Morning All,
Pretty grim weather here too but apart from dog walking in between showers I am on indoors activities this week. Back to my sanding job this PM as Plasterers arrive next week(but I wonโ€™t hold my breath, not exactly reliable). Still lots of woodwork to sand down. Canโ€™t really see them moving in anytime soon.

Throat is still giving me issues, I need to keep it constantly lubricated, suspect ulcers, but no temperature yet so no pills. Got through my visit to the Cinema yesterday to see Bohemian Rhapsody with too much coughing, coughing not popular with patrons. Cinema was full of aging Rockers, not a seat free. It was a real โ€˜tripโ€™ but probably watered down a great deal in terms of โ€˜ life on the roadโ€™.

Wising-weโ€™ll done on the fast, tough when weather cold. I have done long fasts in past but never kept the weight off afterwards so not trying it again. I am sure you will do better than me. I did feel OK doing long fasts, not light headed but my sleep at night was very disturbed. Actually sleep is not going too well these days either, pain at night is very distressing but trying to cope without pills after last horror event. Hot water bottle helps. I keep hearing about addiction to pain meds and the need to take more as your body gets used to them. Not a road I want to travel.

High tea out tomorrow afternoon as itโ€™s a friendโ€™s birthday, seems a weird thing to do in Winter. Baby Shower next week plus Choir performances plus Christmas meals, social life is picking up pace. At least bowls meals are no longer an issue, thatโ€™s progress.

Fasting Friday and Saturday this week, 500 cals and one tea time meal like Amazon. Evenings still tough though.

    Have a good week everyone
I am sure Happy is busy at work as itโ€™s too cold for gardening.

Wi loving the determination and the can do attitude awesome fantastic fasting you keep on keeping on..
“Motivation gets you going but discipline keeps you growing”
    Peace RT

Thank you all Purple, Amazon, Jojo, RT for encouragement. I am 90 hours in, with 50 to go. There is now no doubt. I can do it!

What I notice most is that I have no pain anywhere in my body. The arthritic pains are absent. I am having a few problems playing pingpong with the slightly buzzy head.

It’s another beautiful day here with snow down to about 100m above us, but here just frosty.
    Have a lovely day/evening/night
    Wiwi

    Morning/evening all,

    Wiwi,

Of course you can do it and you have inspired me to keep on the straight and narrow fasting wise. I was struggling at the beginning of the week but told myself if you can eat nothing for a week I can manage to stick to 500 calories for one day.

It’s a wet and blustery day here and it’s another FD for me.

I have finished the living room so this morning will be spent tidying up and putting everything back in place.
Someone is coming this afternoon to measure up for the blinds which will be made and fitted before Christmas. The upholsterers are coming on Saturday to collect the sofas and have guaranteed to return them on 14th December so everything will be done in time for Christmas which is very exciting ๐Ÿ˜€

The only hitch is that I’ll be lying on the floor for the next two weeks ๐Ÿ˜†

I can’t believe I’ve achieved so much in less than 8 weeks, and I enjoyed the challenge. I’ve still got a few outstanding tasks to complete which will keep me out of mischief for a few more days and I’m really looking forward to getting back to my routine at the gym.

Have a good one everybody ๐Ÿ˜œ

It’s now 100 hours and I am at a low point. Thank goodness we are travelling tomorrow.
Glad to inspire, Amazon. It’s easier for me to maintain a almost zero day than estimate the 400 -500 calories.
I realise now that on fast days, I must not have even 2 teasoons of milk in my morning tea. I think I will break the fast on Saturday with porridge. I have already booked the brunch restaurant in Bournemouth, for my daughter her boyfriend and me.
Poor girl is coming back to London from New York arriving at 11pm. She will be needing brunch too after such a short night.
Off to play ping pong if my head will stand it,
    Only 40 hours to go.
    xx Wiwi

What I meant to say is that my daughter is arriving in London at 11pm tomorrow Friday, and must get up to catch a train to B’mouth for brunch on Saturday.

Hi Fast Trackers and Hello World (You All know Who You ARE) ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Remembering

Two elderly couples were enjoying friendly conversation when one of the men asked the other, “Fred, how was the memory clinic you went to last month?”
“Outstanding,” Fred replied. “They taught us all the latest psychological techniques: visualization, association. It was great.”
“Wow! What was the name of the clinic?”
Fred went blank. He thought and thought, but couldn’t remember. Then a smile broke across his face and he asked, “What do you call that flower with the long stem and thorns?”
    “You mean a rose?”
“Yes, that’s it!” He turned to his wife, “Rose, what was the name of that memory clinic?”
    Sex at 68

I just received a leaflet in the mail informing me that I can have sex at 68. That’s good news because I live at number 72 so it’s not far to walk home afterwards. And it’s the same side of the street so I don’t even have to cross the road!
Have A Happy Weekend All You beautiful Losers ๐Ÿ˜†
    Peace RT
