Day 9 North Wales 🏴 NFD
Successful FD yesterday. I managed to get to 6pm before I ate some fish and salad. Had the first of the new potatoes from the garden and managed to show great restraint by just eating one small one. Going to see a friend this morning at the local Garden Centre. We meet each week for coffee. I have started to drink black coffee again and I am enjoying it. I do not intend to have a cake.
@jaifaim thank you for your comment about my sewing. I hope today’s FD helps you feel better. I have never tried a liquid fast. I don’t think I would sleep very well if I was really hungry.
@funshipfreddie have a good laundry day. My husband does all our washing. I am very lucky. My husband sticks to the shopping list when he goes shopping. I take a list but it’s a guide only and I never stick to it 😂
@merryapple no need to apologise you did have 3 very busy days and we all need time off. What a lovely compliment you received. It’s lovely to received words like that, real motivation. ❤️
@snowflake56 I am making the Eve dress from Sew over It. I have bought some sale fabric from Minerva to make the toile. It’s a wrap dress. I thought if I make it now and I don’t like it I will have time to have a re think.
@at very envious of your cake baking. I love cake baking but I would be too tempted and would eat too much. I have bought some mini lolly moulds. I often find myself craving a sweet treat in the evenings. I thought I could make yogurt lolly’s and put some fresh fruit into them.
@flourbaby have a brilliant holiday. I love Italy and the food there is fabulous.
@excelsior12309. I am hoping to get back into shape for the wedding day. I thought I would start early so I could do it nice and steady.
@stitchincarol self control can be so difficult at times. There is always another day.
Have a lovely day everyone xxxx
Good morning all
From an overcast morning here so wouldn’t be surprised if we get some rain some time during the day.
I weighed myself this morning and nothing has changed so on the positive side I haven’t gained anything which is a bonus.
I had some Tunnock’s teacakes over the weekend so that probably hasn’t helped the weight.
Oh Cali, thank goodness you are back with us! We missed you terribly and worried whether you were ok. I am so very sorry to hear that your husband has is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and I am thankful you have your sister to help to look after him
It was such a shock when we heard about Dr M and I feel for his poor family
Looking forward to catching up more
I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted here. It’s been very difficult with my husband suffering from Alzheimer’s/dementia for the past 3+ years and caring for him at home. He’s in the later stages now and I have to help him with just about everything. I am determined to keep him at home. Thank goodness for my sister living here since he’s a fall risk and we have to watch him all the time. I don’t think I’ve ever suffered from depression before, but I’ve always been a fixer and this is something I cannot fix. I can only try to make things better for him.
I’ve decided that I need to get back to the 5:2 way of eating again as I’ve put back all the weight I lost when I started here. My knees are older now and are really not liking all this extra weight. And this is the only way I’ve ever lost weight and kept it off for a long time.
One of the first things I read here yesterday was about the death of Dr. M. I hadn’t heard about him before since I try to avoid watching the news with all the crazy political stuff dominating the airwaves. That is so incredibly sad. He helped so many people and was the nicest person to listen to on his shows and videos. He took the complex subject of weight loss and made it simple to understand. And if it hadn’t been for him, I would never have met all of you lot. I think about all of you often. I need to be back here. We go to bed late every night after watching streamed movies and tv series. He’s soundly asleep once he’s in bed and I can find time to be here again. I am in the process of catching up on at least your latest posts.
So, I’ve lost a little over a kg in the past 6 days since I’ve started. (I’ve kept my scales in kg all these years.) It’s been very hot here, around 37 – 45 during the day for over two weeks straight. The weather forecasters keep promising cooler temps in a few days and then those days keep getting pushed further out. We usually have cooler nights but there have been too many warm ones lately. The weather seems to be so crazy all over the world.
I’ve missed you all and I’m glad you’re still here.
Day 9 – Ireland – LFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽♀️ 🌾.
So, yesterday did not turn out to be the LFD I’d planned… I felt I really needed a reset and to put very little through my system but had some lovely salads offered to me at lunch so went with healthy good foods instead. It was a FD but not liquid… today I am aiming for liquid only.. I’m out of sorts a little with sinus, headaches and feeling like my whole system is sluggish so will see if this helps.
Back to basics and logging too @brightonbelle ⭐️
Wow @merryapple what a fantastic compliment to receive! You have been working hard on your health so it must have been lovely to have someone notice and comment on it. You’ve also had a very rough few years so huge big bravo to you! ⭐️💕⭐️ Don’t worry being away – we all tick along but brilliant to have you back! 😘
Happy holidays @flourbaby – you need this break! I hope it is just perfect for you. 🏖️ see you in August.
@northgeorgia sorry to hear about the heat! And @excelsior12309 you too! 🥵… what a feast you had and yum!! Fair play to you just having one EFS on the past few months. They are allowed 😁💪
@stitchincarol I hope you had better sleep and that your day went well – hard to plan when you don’t know what the plan for the day is… 🙏
@at your baking just sounds divine… I just couldn’t manage it though – you have such amazing control. I’d say everything was delicious
@snowflake56 enjoy your time out – it sounds just perfect! I’m working away after an early walk.
@molij I’m not a great crafter although I have tried 🙄.. we have some super crafty people here and I am envious of your talents. It’s a very mindful way to spend your time.. 🧶 🪡
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Day 9 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD
@flourbaby – have a fab holiday! 🇮🇹 🍕
@stitchincarol – hope you managed to get some more sleep & that you enjoyed the scavenger hunt.
@excelsior12309, @northgeorgia – I wish you could send some of that excess heat to South Africa! 🥶️
@merryapple – I was just about to congratulate you on B2B FDs?! Never mind, your weight is still down a little from yesterday. I’m guessing the ‘gender reveal’ was the birth of an unborn baby, judging from all the pink & ‘It’s a girl!’ balloons. But you really never know these days 😅 What a lovely compliment from the assistant director!
Laundry day, busy busy…

Day 9 NZ 2nd FD 71.9kg
Apologies for vacating my hosting duties. I have had such a busy three days from dawn to dusk and I crashed… I was so hungry y’day on my FD that I blew it around 2pm. I think a combination of lots of exercise, making dinner for others, meetings and partying (read EtOH) meant I was both starving and tired… So today was a catch up with myself day and a second (this time successful) FD…
An assistant director from the Auckland Art Gallery, whom I hadn’t seen for sometime, sent me a note to say I “looked radiant and fabulous” at the Friday night Artists’ Party. I was wearing black trousers and a gathered satiny bright magenta top with a big tie which probably reflected in my face😁 but it was lovely to have a compliment after all these months of hard work.
@stitchincarol That’s a great organ recital. If you can play in the manner of Mr Ore, I am truely impressed!!!
@snowflake56 I laughed at your husband sticking to the shopping list… I always come out with twice as much as what I went in for!!
Your planking sounds amazing!! Congratulations!!
@at Your timetabling is always impressive and you sound so organised!! What delicious baking!!
@bert1802 Enjoy your restaurant research!! I hope you manage to achieve what you have planned on the food front
@funshipfreddie Is a gender reveal about the sex of an unborn baby or choosing to go with a non biological gender (does that sound OK???) or something else???
@jaifaim I’m in the knuckle down group😕with you and @brightonbelle!!
@molij A new dress made by you sounds lovely. Your daughter will be so proud!!
@northgeorgia It’s great to hear you feeling in control.
I’m off to the Spinners and Weaver’s Guild now for 7pm
KNUCKLING DOWN TOGETHER!!!
Pocket List
@merryapple…
Cinque, that sounded so sad about little Josie’s condition. I hope you didn’t burn yourself too badly and that you’re all rested now.
Neil, I hope you get your stomach issues sorted out with your own dietary intake guidance. It’s pleasing that your tests didn’t uncover anything sinister. I bet your greenhouse yields lots of marvellous food. How are the renovations coming along?
LJ, you made me laugh about not turning on the laptop to avoid the tasks. Ah yes, UK politics. Well I wouldn’t have brought it up but since you have: an interesting outcome whereby Labour claimed a ‘landslide’ victory with the lowest percentage of votes in history (34%). It also means that 80% of the eligible voting population didn’t vote Labour. I feel coup politics turned voters off – no one voted for Sunak – along with the Tories’ colossal failure to deliver on its illegal & net migration mandate. Nothing will change on that score with the new govt., in fact it will worsen, and taxes will rise.
What concerns me a lot more though is what’s going on in the Australian Senate. The enthusiasm for diversity targets needs replacing with an awakening to the very real threat to our western values and way of life. Australia is at a turning point.
Anzac, good job with the slowly dropping weight. I haven’t heard of ‘Have you Been Paying Attention?’. Here’s a recommendation for any 70s band era fans especially Fleetwood Mac – ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’. It’s on Prime. It’s about a fictitious band but the author says it was inspired by the relationships within Fleetwood Mac. The actors do all the singing.
We’ve just had a great weekend with DD in the Peak District. We went to a quaint country pub and had a good hike with incredible panoramic views. We had a full day of sunshine but now it’s raining yet again.
Day 9, Germany, NFD
@funshipfreddie I’m glad my husband does most of the shopping, he mostly sticks to the shopping list.
@jaifaim and @at You are the active ones, not me! Apart from planks I don’t do anything sporty at all at the moment. The sports school is closed for the month and the dance teacher is on holiday. I just sit in my reading chair and read all day.
@stitchincarol How was the scavenger hunt?
@molij What kind of dress are you planning to make? I buy fabrics and patterns but I know I’m not very good at sewing so I don’t use any of it.
Have a nice day everyone!
Glad to be able to help a bit.
You may find this website useful too with respect to your cholesterol:
https://zoe.com/learn/category/health-conditions/cholesterol
I’ve been following 5:2 (and more recently 6:1) for over 11 years with great success and in the last 18 months I’ve added in following the Zoe advice too – but you don’t need to join Zoe to listen to their podcasts or to read their articles. They prioritise avoiding ultra processed food and trying to have 30 different plant types a week (seeds, nuts, spices, herbs, beans, fruit and vegetables all count – and in relatively low quantities too) – must admit I struggle to get more than 20 different ones, but that’s probably 15 more than I used to eat. Michael Mosley was a guest on the Zoe podcasts.
Mr Data,
Great advice especially “ remember you can eat what you like tomorrow “ that has given me a lift .
I’ll be checking out the links and reading about other people’s experiences to keep me focused too.
I’m guessing it worked for you , I hope to get some success in lowering my cholesterol .
Thank you.
Day 8 – UK – FD500
Busy day today after an indulgent weekend so definitely back to a good fasting day for me
Birthday group walk this morning – 11 of us turned up and we did 5.5 miles ending up at a favourite cafe for lunch sitting out in the sun – I had a small light salad keeping calorie count down ✅
Optician viisit this afternoon followed by some baking – blueberry scones for OH’s post run carbo loading, Cherry Rhubarb Crumb traybake for tomorrow’s regular walking group – meeting at a friend’s house then having coffee at theirs after the walk. I offered to do some cakes, will do a lemon drizzle loaf when I get back from evening Yoga class – everything is measured and ready to go when I get back home….
Having a quick cup of tea before I need to set off as I am giving a lift to a friend to yoga class.
@funshipfreddie – well done on your successful FD
@snowflake56 – 💪 to you for your daily planking
@molij – impressed at your dress making skills
@stitchincarol – enjoy the scavenger hunt and good luck with your self control today

Chloe is mad, if I say are we going she goes banana’s. Then once we are out she just walks behind me. She likes all the sniffing just not other people or dogs. She’s fast asleep on my sofa with her legs dangling over my thigh.
Good afternoon everyone. Xxxx
It started out a lovely day .. but its now very dark and looks like the dreaded rain again.
A new day re eating and drinking.. after weeks of not being bothered about food at the weekend .. I ate and drank lot of rubbish watching the sports. lol.
This morning I was amazed to see I am up 3lbs now on my best weight which I had kept for a good while. It goes on quick when left to run riot . lol
Sooo today new broom and all that and back to basics.. Soo milky coffee and satsuma for breakfast.. .. late lunch of soup and 2 ryvita and a little bit of cheese.
This evening its 2 eggs on 1 toast.. fruit.
H H .. Yeast Vite is old .. I had them years ago when run down.. they are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.. look on Amazon.. You can take 2 every 4 hrs up to 8 a day.. I am just having 4 to start this week then will cut down to 2 until I feel perky again lol.
I hope everyone is having a good day
Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come. Xxxx

You might find these links helpful:

https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/warnings-to-newbies/
It’s a long time since I began 5:2 (over 11 years ago) but my recollection of any days I struggled on, before it just became normal for me, were that all the following helped:-
drink more (water, black coffee or tea or a herbal tea),
keep busy to keep your mind off it,
remember that tomorrow you can eat what you like, so just try to hold on during the fast days,
remember that hunger pangs come in waves and that if you can stay strong to resist temptation the hunger feeling will actually go relatively quickly
If you can stick to it for 6 weeks you may also find that your stomach shrinks a bit and you just don’t want as much on your plate even on non-fast days. It was about that long into it when I remarked to my wife that my evening meal looked a bit large and she told me it was less than half of what I had been eating as normal only 6 or 7 weeks earlier.
I hope some of this helps and very best of luck.
Hi emma2,
The very best of luck with it. I did the original 5:2 version of the diet, and I’m still on it 11 years later.

Day 8, London UK, NFD,
Late on parade as usual. Just checking in to say I’m bowing out and won’t be flying in July!! I’m off on my hols at the end of the week and will be back just in time for the August challenge……………… which I will desperately need after 2w+ in Italy!!!
Keep the faith folks & I’ll be back for some much needed support & inspiration in what for me will be ‘Ample A*rsed August’!!!🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣
“Success is the product of daily habits—not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.” – James Clear
Hi Britishgoose01,
You are obviously already doing a lot – the only other obvious suggestion would be to try to minimise your intake of ultra processed foods (not easy because they are cheap and tasty, but very bad for your gut biome) and to try to have 30 different types of plant in your diet each week (plants include spices, herbs, beans, nuts, seeds, fruit and vegetables). I admit I struggle to get to 19 or 20, but I’m not keen on many vegetables.
For what it is worth I did the original 5:2 version of this diet for 10 years and lost over 2.5 stone in the first 6 months, which stayed lost. In addition, I then started following the Zoe diet guide as well about 18 months ago and have lost another 7lbs. When I started my BMI was 26.9, it’s now down at around 21.5 to 22.0.
Hope this may help, and the best of luck with it.

Afternoon!
Hemmy, I have never heard of yeast vite tablets, hope they help! I’ve tried some for helping the thyroid, will see.. brilliant that you were able to find the dog, such a worry otherwise…
Jean- I think you needed some lazy days, take it easy with the fasting while you recover! Naughty Charlie…
Dave- hope recalculating your TDEE works, you’ve done well, would be good to keep that up …poor Chloe, a shame she doesn’t enjoy her walks!
Had a baking day yesterday, made brookies for the firemen (& 1 each for us!) All packed now & leaving shortly for our couple of days away, hope there’ll be plenty of gaps in between the showers or it’ll be miserable! No fasting here but will try not to eat too much!
Have a good few days!
Firstly I’d like to offer my condolences to all who knew Dr Micheal Mosley , such a sad end of life .
I bought the 5-2 book last year and never got round to following it but after a high cholesterol reading I decided to dig it out and give it a go.
I lost 7lb in the first 3 weeks ( hopefully lowering my cholesterol levels too)and seemed to do it easily but then I went away visiting family and now I can’t seem to get back on it , I’ve failed 3 fast days so far. On it today but I’m really struggling , anyone had the same experience ?
Afternoon All..
A lovely sunny dry walk it makes all the difference.
Trying for a second fd a B2B..
Just played my semi finals boules match ..
13.10 Peggy
13-9 Jean
Last match down to last throw 11-11
13-11 Peggy won
A brilliant hot sweaty match. We both were so close.
Dave..
I have no problem walking here.. he was very naughty we had walked for a hour and he wouldn’t come home!! He kept running away from me.. he is in bad books.

Day 8 – USA/GA – FD
Weigh-in: 234 lbs. Ok, sweating here in the house, about to run to work… going to try for a FD500 today. Hoping the AC Repairman gets out today, and now I’ve discovered my home WiFi is fried. So it goes. If a pocketlist is made today, please put me on it… got to run
Day 8-No. VA USA-FD
Yesterday was supposed to be a little dinner for son and his girlfriend, but they had to take a rain check at the last minute. This led to EFS by me of delicious dinner rolls, apple tart, and some steak. That hasn’t happened for months. It was awfully good. Nevertheless, back on the wagon today!!!
Our super hot weather continues. Perhaps some rain is coming in a few days, courtesy of the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. Fingers crossed!
@molij, I love your idea of making a dress. My younger sister is a very talented seamstress, and I admire that skill. And since the wedding is a way off, you have time to gradually get in the shape you want for the big day!
@stichincarol, good luck with a fun (and diet-wise, a challenging)day!
Knuckling down, as @funshipfreddie says, with Monday fasters. Down we go.
Day 9 – Rural Nebraska, USA – NFD
It’s 4:29am and I’ve been awake since 2. I realized I should post now, as I won’t have time later. I’m going on the Omaha Scavenger Hunt (apparently these are happening in several cities these days??) this morning with the gals of our dear friends, and then the husbands are joining us for supper here at our house, so the whole day will be consumed with playing. 😁
As I typed that, I thought, “It’s clearly tough to lose weight when I have so many social things going on”–and a memory from 2003 flashed in my mind. DH and I lived in the same town as those dear friends (40 miles from here) and were packing up to move to St. Louis (500 miles away) so he could attend seminary, and practically every other day, one of those friends would organize an impromptu “party” that included lunch or supper. I remember whining to my husband that it was impossible not to gain weight with all the commotion and eating, and wishing I could have fun with our friends, but maintain my usual limited eating.
Well, huh! I’ve been thinking all this time–like, years–that I’ve always eaten this much, but it’s only these days that I gain weight with this quantity…but perhaps that thought is false.
Not sure precisely what I can do with that thought, but I’m going to mull it over. Or, wait. Obviously, what I can do with that is motivate myself to eat less, LOL! I was a bit distressed when the gals said we should have lunch after the scavenger hunt before coming back to my house to cook and eat dinner–that’s a LOT of food in one day! So perhaps this is my chance to truly eat light at lunch. Since I have no idea where we’re going, I have no way of planning ahead, but I’ll work on being disciplined when I look at the menu.
Okay, enough ruminating; I’m off to bed in hopes of getting a little more sleep.
Have a grand one, everyone!
Day 8 FD North Wales
Very busy weekend but still on track. I did have a few crisps yesterday but I didn’t go mad. The weather here is lovely at the moment but heavy rain is forecast for tonight. Going to distract myself by cutting out a pattern to make a toile. My youngest daughter is getting married next August. I hate wearing dresses and I have so many expensive dresses I have bought over the years for weddings and christenings that have only been worn once that I have decided to make a dress for this wedding.
Wishing everyone a really good week.

Pocket List – Day 8 🍌
Good morning everyone the sun is out but according to Alexa it’s going to be showers all week. Will get a dry walk in with Chloe before it comes if I can wake her up. She must sleep 22 hours a day. When I take her out for a walk they all laugh at me, I have to drag her round she walks at about 1mph and that’s her top speed. Get some chews out and it goes to 100mph.I literally have to put my knee up her bum every time just to push her off the doorstep🤣
Day 8 – Ireland – LFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽♀️ 🌾.
Hi everyone! Like others I need to knuckle down this week too and get back on track. I had a very active weekend but it seems I out-ate my activity levels and another lb on this morning.

@leoniraats – your weather is worse than ours? I see it’s going to be minus 4 C in Jo’burg tonight?! Stay warm ❄️
@snowflake56. I should avoid the sweets section too; but most of the supermarkets here still have all the candy etc by the checkout aisle. So if there’s a line it’s all there, right in your face. You can almost hear the Chunky KitKats…’eat me! eat me!’ 😱

Advice…
I work 5 days in a gatehouse, so work alone for 12+hrs a day, we get no breaks, can’t leave. In last year its got v quiet, to pass time we’d drink aalsorts, then you’d have snack. In the time period I gained alot, the other guys on opposite shifts got even bigger so am assuming they did the same as me.
I saw myself…and was ashamed,
Last 3 months decided to diet.
No bread,
Nothing at all with added sugar
Then most stuff without sugar
Now if it has sugar or sweetners in not allowed to eat.
Only thing is natural honey bug dnt really like it.
No cereals
No potatoes
Nothing fried, if I fry its coconut oil
Mass salads as I grow my own stuff,
Make sugar free coleslaw only have a bit
Homemade mayo
V little fruit, mostly melon
Red meat and fish.
No sweets,biscuits,crisps,Nothing sweet at all.
I bought a treadmill, we have weights.
Am 6ft 5 and not gonna lie Ive only lost 3stone(dnt know any other weight measurement)
I’m trying to do whatever I can at work, even if it’s only walking about. Home is the treadmill and what DIY needs doing.
Also am a full time law student so also studying aswell which stops the weekends. I try walk instead of drive, we do hikes occasionally,
I need to lose more, anyone got any ideas. I know fasting does help but as I’ve been advised not yet, I’ve been told I need to lose more before I’d be able to safely fast….
Anyone got any suggestions on everything.
Day 8, Germany, FD800
@at Yes, I’m doing 6 min planks every morning. For me it’s good for my upper back to do them but I know it’s not for everyone. Thank you for asking, my DH is doing well, after a long break he’s back at working a few days every month.
@funshipfreddie I had to look up Chunky KitKats, I don’t know if they sell them here. In the supermarket I avoid the sweets section, too many temptations and I’m sure I would do the same thing as you when something I like is on offer. Last week I had my first small KitKat, it tasted a bit dry.

Day 7…..Florida…..NFD
Really tried hard for a FD but ended up with a NFD. So, tomorrow will have to be the day. Not much going on today just getting ready to start the week again.
Just wanted to check in….
I hope everyone is well
Day 7 – USA/TN – NFD
I’ve been to watch Sale Sharks and Salford red devils at the ground I prefer rugby union to league. The F1 was very exciting. Beef was tasty but I will have to cut down now, good job I don’t go to MoreLife this week.
Day 7 – second post
Yeah, I’m NFD today. But I’ll be on board tomorrow 🙂
@funshipfreddie – sorry to let you down but unexpected visitors to our neck of the woods today means my FD goes out the window……
Day 7 – USA/GA – ZBC, NFD?
Weigh-in: 233 lbs. I am sweltering at home, so barring a few hours, I’m spending days and nights next door at my mom’s house, sleeping on the couch for the foreseeable future as HVAC repairmen are backlogged — I’m hoping someone can stop by tomorrow to at least determine the issue. With temperatures between 30 and 35C, it is a misery. Temperatures in the house aren’t that cooler.
Because of that, it may prove easier to fast while I’m at work this coming week. That being said, I’ve been really proud of my reset approach to NFDs. I never went above my post-vacation weight last week, and my weight is the same as last Sunday. Granted, I’m nowhere near my goal weight, but my weight remained stable and hasn’t galloped out of control, even with the 4th of July meal. I need to keep this approach.
Afternoon All..

A naughty few days but you have to relax Sometimes …I am enjoying my food again..
I absolutely agree about caring about dogs.. They are more loyal than many humans.
Come on Max for Red Bull … Xxxx

I’ve gained over 3lbs so I have recalculated my TDEE. Will see if that makes a difference. So glad they found the lost dog, it really gets to me if I hear any bad news about dogs. Denise said I should care more about humans but dogs are very close to my heart. Got the F1 on the telly so I’ll watch it all, got beef cooking in the pressure cooker then it will be going into pastry for a nice pie. Will do back to back fast days Monday and Tuesday.
Day 7 – Ireland – NFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽♀️ 🌾.

Day 7 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – FD
Brrr?!! It’s cold! And it seems to be the whole country. I wish I could go to sleep & wake up in October. But then, who would feed the cat? 😿 Yesterday it was lovely & sunny. I went to the Lemon Tree restaurant again & it was packed. There was a bridal shower going on & a ‘gender reveal party’ simultaneously. Two different groups, I should add 😅 My friend & I found a quiet corner away from all the madness. There’s also an enormous gift/home-ware shop next door. I’m not really into anything that collects dust, but you could easily spend a couple of hours looking around this place and you’re bound to find something if you need a gift for someone.
@snowflake56 – I hope you do join me at maintenance later this month! Hopefully I’ll still be there too. I’m afraid my ‘no Chunky KitKats’ pledge is kaput. They’re usually R 15 each, but my local supermarket is selling them at R 11 each for two or more. The temptation was too great. What can you do? I’m only human 🥴️
@at – I’m with you! Nice quote 👍

Day 7 UK NFD
Hmmm relaxed far too much this weekend , one of my aims this month was to get back to logging everything on MFP so at least I can try to get back on track with that Once again I’ll be pressing the reset button tomorrow
Have a good Sunday all
Good morning FB Brits hope all is well in your world.Xxxx
I am hoping for a calmer day today . and to enjoy F1 from Silverstone. Traffic busy all around the area.
Yesterday was hectic.. had planned an easy day to watch the footie… On returning from our walk ..I met a village lady.. in tears had lost her little terrier .. he had chased after the deer .. So took Pip home and returned to help her .. 2 hrs later we found him in brambles..but safe. thank goodness.
A naughty day with treats and wine.. lol but enjoyed the footie. xx
H H .. I keep feeling tired too so have sent for some Yeast Vite tabs.. I had them years ago and they were good.
Enjoy your day every one whatever you are doing. ..
Sunday is a day of rest Xxxx
Day 7 – UK – FD
Yesterday’s retreat was just wonderful, opening my eyes and mind and Mother Nature was kind to us as we spent the morning outside by the lakeshore connecting with the 5 elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether in mostly warm sunshine ⛅️ with a cool breeze in the shade 😎
Lunch sitting in a sunny wild flower meadow was just perfect and yummy 😋
No rain until we were in the yoga studio in the barn after lunch for some restorative yoga practice ending with a relaxing Yoga Nidra and when we left the studio we were greeted with blue skies and sunshine for the rest of the evening……
Aiming for a FD800 today – very unusual for me to fast on a Sunday…….but I have a few social engagements next week which may make FD500 impossible so aiming for 3 x FD800
@excelsior12309 – multiple hornet stings……..Ouch…..but the sweet small cantaloupes sounds divine
@snowflake56 – do you do that series of planks every day? hope all is going well with you and your DH health these days xx
@jaifaim – we also had an unexpected dry and sunny day yesterday for which I was very grateful for my outside workshop – we did have a bit of rain once back in the yoga studio in the afternoon
@metatauta – continued healing vibes coming your way – hope that tummy of yours improves soon as you have been unsettled for a week or so now 🤗
@stitchincarol – kudos to you for 3 hrs of gardening…….that’s what mine needs as it has gone mad out there…..I’m sure you played the arrangement beautifully and did credit to your old teacher – thanks for sharing that recording 🎶 🎹🎶
We are promised a fairly dry day today so I’m going to get out for a walk to get some steps in for the day
Pocket list day 7 🎯……….Anyone joining me???? Go on go on go on 😃
