  • Hi Apricot,

I don’t eat biscuits as I have no control so they’ve not had room in my house for over 20 years apart from Christmas when I used to buy savoury biscuits to go with cheese but I’ve not done that for two years. As far as bread is concerned, I love the good stuff and have until the past 3 years allowed myself to eat as much as I wanted anytime I wanted and I finally decided it was time to put a stop to such behaviour. Since I began following 5:2 I’ve eaten much less but still struggled so I gave it up for Lent which has made a lot of difference as it forced me to make different choices when a sandwich wasn’t possible. I don’t want to substitute it with another carb I just want to be able to have a sandwich and not feel the need to sneak another slice. I’ll get there.

I love baking and can be inventive when I set my mind to it which is one of the reasons why I want to try other types of flour. I’ve also read some rather unfavourable things regarding what gluten can do but I’m sure other products also have health disadvantages. It is also good to try different foods and expand the variety of things in my diet.

We had a fab day in Hyde Park and then moved on to somewhere nearer home and had a stroll along the Thames followed by and early dinner in a riverside pub.
My pedometer says 18000 so I’m very happy.

    A husband asks his wife:
    – If I die, will you remarry?
    – Of course no, darling, I will stay with my sister. And if I die, will you remarry?
    – No, I will also stay with your sister.

A wife tries to teach the dog to sit up. After a few fails her husband tells:
    – Darling, forget it, you won’t succeed…
    – Don’t worry – replies his wife – in the begining it was difficult with you as well.

A couple is celebrating their 30 years anniversary of marriage. The husband asks his wife:
    – We have grown 12 kids. But Johnny is different from the rest. Please, tell me honestly, I will forgive you, but I wanna know – maybe you have cheated on me?
    The wife replies:
    – Yes, I was. Johnny is your real son…
A wife and a husband sit in the room and enjoys a bottle of wine. Suddenly the
    wife says:
    – I love you.
    Husband asks in surprise:
    – Is that you or wine talking?
    – This is me, I’m talking to wine.
Wife comes home late at night and quietly opens the door to her bedroom. From
under the blanket she notices four legs instead of two! She reaches for a baseball bat and starts hitting the blanket as hard as she can.
Once she’s done, she goes to the kitchen to have a drink. As she enters, she sees her husband there, reading a magazine.
-Hi darling, he says, -Your parents have come to visit us, so I let them stay in our bedroom. Hope you have said hello to them.

Have a happy Weekend all you beautiful losers πŸ˜†
    Peace RT

    Morning RT. Nice ones!
HealthCoach, as kerfir is only milk, a 200 ml glass is 124 calories. We need to eat full fat products for health, so cut out something else. Drink a 1/2 glass of kefir each day and eat the fruit whole. No need to make them into smoothies. P😊

Purple I don’t know if I am doing the right thing! Always an experiment. I really hate to focus on calories and yes on the nutritional value of my daily intake.
I chose 2% milk because I add fruit, oats and flax seeds on my smoothie with at least 250ml kefir. Later on there is olive and coconut oil in salads, veggies and more.
Also I am concerned about that energy deficit math! I am fairly active but I think I just break even every day … Or not πŸ‘€πŸ˜±.
    Thanks

    Morning/evening all,

HCB, did you know that the fibre in whole fruit prevents a sugar rush when you eat as it has to be broken down in your gut before the fructose is released, but if you put it into a smoothie the bleneder breaks down the fibre and the fructose goes straight into your bloodstream?
As Purple says the best way to have fruit is to eat it whole.

Dull and damp today but we need the rain to keep everything looking so green.

First FD for over a week for me, I’ll be at the gym this moring and I have a few errands to do on the way home, so that should keep me out of mischief and out of the fridge!

Have a good weekend everybody 😜

    HCB,

I should have said that the fibre in fruit slows down the absorption of fructose, not that it gives you a sugar rush. I’ve been doing a lot of reading in the past few days about sugars, insulin resistance etc and I got a bit confused.

It is better to eat fruit whole rather than blended into a smoothie.

My FD has gone well and I’m pleased to have got another one done and dusted.

    Hi Guys,
Good day out and about. Visited Faversham market and museum then Guided tour of Provender House( recently refurbished). The house has 14 th to 19 th century examples of building extentions and alterations so very interesting architecturally.
Last nights Tango show with Vincent and Flavia(Strictly Dancers) was phenomenal, I could watch those two dance together all day long, perfectly matched. Sadly this was their last show together as they are retiring.

Not looking to fast until I get off pain killers, possibly Sunday.
    Be good everyone

Hi all, glad to hear you’re feeling better Jojo.

Well I managed 1 full FD this past week and went to TDEE on rest resulting in 1.2kg down from previous week. Mind you I had put ob weight last year into this year with all the pain relief I’d had to take so still above my lowest but working to get back there and lower.

Love hearing about all the different areas around the world, ie UK, France, USA and NZ as I try to picture in my mind what you all describe.

Must run as have tutoring today .

Aussie Aussie Aussie OOO how wonderful down -1.2 keep on keeping on congratulations well done πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Whoopee – I tried on a whole stack of size 12 (UK size) clothes in a closing down sale yesterday and chose some things that I wouldn’t have touched before – namely tops with bold and strong coloured horizontal stripes! A serious no no when overweight!
I also got some really nice size 12 stretch jeans and a smart top from M&S and it felt soooo……. Gggggoooood to stand in that changing cubicle and say to myself – I AM size 12 and those jeans slipped on with no effort!!
Best of all I put on the skinny jeans and bold horizontal stripey top for my hubby to see and you could almost hear the wolf whistles!! I’m normally treated to ‘what could be improved upon’ first!!
He was genuinely impressed and had Nothing but positive admiration and affection to shower in my direction!!
The positive benefits go on…………!!!!!!! Keep smiling everyone and enjoy the compliments rolling in!!

Well done. Great motivation, being admired, isn’t it, Pen? 😊😊P

    Hi Everyone,
I am here holding steady. Life is flying by. I am enjoying the posts.

    Hello,
Feeling very motivated listening to all good “losing stories”.
I’ve been so lazy lately! Perhaps and i don’t want to admit but not applying resistance to it and accepting .., hormonal changes. Sorry guys! Girls talk.
Sometimes it seems like the world it’s in slow motion. Okay … Let it be if it’s the case.
I believe I mentioned before I wont be fasting until I close the house and finish with our last minute friends coming by.
Otherwise the house it’s in order and Sasha gets her exercise. Today I walked her and after put her on a small basked on my bicycle … So cute.
Amazon good point with the rush of sugar broken down so quickly. Agree!
Jogo isn’t the group two years now? How many pounds has the group lost :()
    Be well everyone

We celebrate 2 years on 26 th April but don’t have all our original members. A few disappeared into cyber space but others are here still working towards goal or maintaining impressive weight losses. Considering many of us were overweight or obese for 20 years plus most are chuffed to have dramatically changed their eating habits and achieved great weight losses and improved long term health.

I will be here even if it takes another five years( I hope it doesn’t) I am very proud of the Fasters contributing to this thread, they show understanding, fortitude, humanity and kindness to each other. Many of us have ‘met up’ and this makes this thread even more special since we travelled across the world to do so.

I will start the ball rolling by reporting that I am 50 lbs down as at today, not my lowest stage but going back there. I have dropped from dress size 24 to 16 and very occasionally 14. Many of our fasters started at the point I am at now and now wear size 10 or less, it’s incredible. Most importantly we are no longer depressed by that view in the mirror or clothes shopping.

Support is so important when you are fasting on a long term basis. I am the first to admit I can’t keep strong all the time and have lost the same stone three times during the last two years but I am pressing on, I will get there and join those happy maintainers.
Please share your statistics for our new members everyone

    Hi Jo

On 5:2 I lost 17 kg two years ago and have been maintaining ever since. I went from size 16 to size 12.

    Cheers, Bay 🌺🌺🌺

Jo, your 50lbs is an excellent start. I’m sure you won’t take 5 years to get to goal!!! You have come a long way, learnt so much, feel so good and have made new mates along the way.
The last 2 years have been a great ride for me too. I love our international group, who stick by each other in thick and thin. We share successes, reveal weaknesses and nurture each other. This is SO much more than a “diet”, isn’t it?
    Cheers Fast Trackers P 😊
I lost 30kg, starting April 13, but put 2 back on. Have maintained for the last 2 years with the help of my cyber buddies. Went from size 16 to 8 or 10.

    Well done pen nib. πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Pen nib Congratulations! Sara103 stay strong & look at JoJo’s results 50kg really??? You are amazing.
And Purple 30kg? WOW Congratulations! You and Jojo must look (and feel) so different then when you started.

I’ve only been on the this forum and 5:2 for the year 2016; as of today 13kg gone.

You are going well Pent. It is definitely worth changing your life!!! P

Congratulations AO, you are on your way again! Also congrats to Pen nib and all our happy band! Great to hear from you Sarah, I was hoping you were ok.
Health Coach I started Sept ’14 and thanks to 5:2 and the support from Jojo’s group, I lost 23 kgs by July ’15. Have maintained since with ongoing fasting and a ‘happier’ relationship with food. Cured my swollen, painful arthritic knees by taking the pressure off them, so no need ever now for painkillers, anti inflammatories or the meds that stopped side effects from those. Much more active with lots of swimming and walking. So much more energy! And really enjoying wearing the smallest jeans for 30 years….
If you can stick with fasting long enough, it eventually becomes easy and is a secret weapon for maintaining healthy weight and lifestyle!!

Thank you Purple, hear, hear, Nama, I concur, 100%. I’m into the 2nd week of NO MEDS whatsoever of any kind. I’m over the moon with happiness and I feel good.

But as a firm reminder that once an addict of anything always an addict… Last night I had a few drinks the most alcohol I’ve consumed other than a glass of wine here and there since I started 5:2…well it was a VERY fast and VERY slippery slope to a lovely platter of crackers, cheese, salami and other such fatty yummy things that I won’t mention here on this hallowed site…..sigh…
The only good news was that the actual amount that I ate was about 1/4 of my normal ‘night-snacks’ before 5:2 and the other good news is that I’m aware of my weakness and making up it today with a Sunday FD. So there is a prompt reaction to the action. I was surprised how fast I failed. It’s always there the beating-heart of incorrect eating. So, one day at a time it is for me.

Richard Simmons once said, “What feels better, finishing off the Chocolate Cream Cheese cake slice or hearing someone say how beautiful and svelte you look.” I think the compliment is much more satisfying and rewarding since I already know what the cake tastes like…. +

    Hi everyone,

I started my 5:2 journey before I joined this thread and I had gone off piste and regained almost half of what I had lost when I found this website. I would not have come this far without the support of the people on this thread, both past and present members.

I originally started at the end of April 2013 and with a bit of down and then up and then down again I am 66lbs less than when I started which is 2lbs above my lowest at this time last year when as many of you already know, I went through the pain of watching my darling brother die of cancer and as a result lost the plot for the rest of the year and regained 14lbs.
I am back on track and working hard although the chest infection that I am now thankfully over came with a raging appetite and the unresisted urge to eat lots of carbs.

I’ve been doing a fair amount of reading over the past few weeks, factual books about health, nutrition and human physiology and how it is affected by what we eat. As a result I am determined to eliminate as many processed carbs as I can from my diet which means continuing the fight against the almost irresistable urge to eat bread. The good thing is that evidence shows that eating cheese, full fat yogurt, whole milk and butter in moderation do not contribute to weigh gain and are much healthier than their low fat alternatives as they contain many essential nutrients and none of the added sugar or chemical flavourings that products such as fat free yoghurt have.

I’ve also read in The Obesity Code that the key to not regaining weight is to conquers insulin resistance and there is only one way to do so. Does anyone want to guess what that is………

the answer is fasting which means that those of us following this WOE are all using the best method to get slim and stay there while improving our health.

In the woeds of SAMM (we miss you) keep on keeping on everyone 😜

    Hello Everyone,

Did I hear someone saying wine cheese and crackers? LOL they love ME 😜
I am having a fantastic day so far! Walked myself and Sasha, had my little breakfast of 1egg, 1slice of turkey, 1 slice of rye bread w/real butter and 1 Granny Smith Apple.
Not really dramas going on and no hassle from anybody. I will be going to the Jehova Whitness Temple later. They are so nice and I just want to see how it is. My main church it’s Lutheran back in Connecticut.

I joined Jojo on Jan/15 after reading the 5:2 book. For me it’s the lifestyle that makes the most sense. I’ve been accumulating 5 pounds per year in 3 years. I started really last year in May fasting twice a week and in July I had released about 9 pounds then I went on vacation and the hell broke lose again and I am heavier then last year.

Amazon i also tend to read more books about nutrition, wellness and lifestyle. I will get that book Obesity Code. There is a connection with the gut and brain for sure.
Would love to meet the Londoners for coffee or tea in July. Be there for one week.

Sharing a short nice movie with you.

    Amazon,

What an amazing achievement, to be 66lbs lighter than you were. Phenomenal result!

My achievement is far less impressive! I started 5:2 in January 2014, and have been maintaining my weight loss since May 2014. My weight has really only varied by a lb or so since then, and this weekend I am 30lbs lighter, but I guess it would be most accurate to record the loss as 29lbs (+/- 1lb) πŸ™‚

    Hi Happy,

yes it is an achievement and I still can’t quite believe it. I’m very proud of myself for getting this far, but ever since I first had weight problems and started dieting I’ve always given up before I reached my goal weight. I am therefore still not satisfied and will not be until I get there. I’ve had a really bad couple of weeks after dropping 12lbs very quickly and have decided to blame it on the virus which contributed to lack of motivation. I have no excuse now I’m feeling better so tomorrow I’ll be returning to 3:4 and I’m going to attempt to only eat once per day on non FDs and see if that increases my rate of loss.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your birthday weekend and that the weather where you are is as nice as it has been here today πŸ™‚

I started 5-2 in September 2014 and have lost 26kg some fabulous games of footy over the weekend with some wonderful individual goals marks and passages of play. I am embarking on a four day fast today the 2nd of 6 planned for this year happy fast day people let’s get our fast on !!

β€œIt is easier to avoid eating than to stop eating once started”
    Peace RT

Penti, I have lost 50 lbs not 50 klgs( if only), I am still a long way from goal but determined to get there.
Thank you everyone for recording your weight loss stats. I think Wee has to record hers too, I believe that was over 60 lbs. she is busy having a birthday weekend. I imagine ice cream will feature in the celebrations.
I had brunch in the Shard yesterday and lunch in a pub today, so it’s all go here. Stuck to fish starter and main and no pudding. One glass of wine and one gin and tonic so not too bad. Great news is I have been able to go without pain killers all day so far, hip, hip, hooray!
Planning my first fast in two week tomorrow, like RT it will be liquid only tomorrow but going back gently, not ready for 4 days yet, although the thought of it doesn’t daunt me anymore. This would have been unimaginable in pre fasting days. Reading about the benefits of fasting and the sugar in processed foods gives me a totally different outlook about my choices these days. Keep it fresh everyone, do yourselves a favour.
Well done all Fast Trackers- you are incredible

We must be twins, Amazon…same weight loss (66lbs…29.9 kg) ! I’m so pleased the system has worked for you this year and you are back on the road to health and happiness 😊
To everyone…well done those maintaining their healthy goals and those rapidly getting there and those just starting on the journey. The trick really is (thanks Nama) renewing your relationship with food. It is a fuel… so don’t overfill the fuel tank…, but also a wonderful social persuit. Keep both in mind whenever you sit down at a table. Ask yourself, “Which choice will sayisfy me, bring me enjoyment but not bring me down?”
    Cheers P

    Wow P,

Hats off to you too! I’m afraid to say it’s easy to forget your amazing achievement because you’ve been successfully maintaining your new mini-me body for so long now πŸ™‚

    Amazon,

I did have had a nice birthday weekend, thanks. Some quality time with OH, and a nice lunch out today (although too much food!).

    Jo,

Great to hear you’re feeling better. Good luck with the fast tomorrow.

Thanks Happy. As you are the same “mimi me” size as me (I just started fatter 😑), hats off to you, too. 2 years maintaining proves this wol works.πŸ˜‰ P

Hello from a glorious Autumn morning in Melbourne. I am up earlier than usual because a nice gentleman is laying the new carpet in kids old rooms, well worth getting up for!

Good luck with your ‘super fast’ RT! You won’t be able to wipe the smile off your face after your weekend footy glory, no risk of stuffing any food in there! My team on the other hand, looks set for wooden spoon territory this year! Keep us posted on your progress…..

Jojo I am glad you are able to wean the painkillers, great news. London sounds like a lot of fun.
Amazon I am so pleased you are feeling better and ready to relaunch! Sometimes I think when we drop a lot of weight quickly, such as your recent 12lbs, its almost as if our bods need to resettle at the new weight. And of course the recent chest infection would have caused havoc. All those nasty little invaders setting off all sorts of biological actions and reactions. I hope you get some Spring sunshine on your bones today.

I am fasting today to reset from an indulgent Sunday lunch I cooked for the whole family. I made Chicken Roulades (flattened breasts, covered with pork mince and sage, rolled up then wrapped in thin slices of pancetta and baked), plus Tartiflette – an extremely rich (cream and Swiss cheese) potato dish with onions, garlic and bacon. Experimenting with new dishes on the family! Big salad of course to balance the richness. Interestingly, we ALL found both the chicken and the potato dishes yummy but a bit too rich! Even my 6’4″ son who can usually vaccuum anything up, left quite a bit on his plate….. Maybe my new ‘healthier’ tastes are rubbing off on my offspring too?

My mission was to try out some new dishes that I plan to serve to some old friends who are both fabulous cooks (competition with old schoolfriends??) when my turn to entertain comes around shortly. They are both great cooks but fussy eaters (who dont even like fish of any sort!), so I find it difficult to come up with something interesting but boring at the same time!! Neither like fish, one not keen on meat (I thought I could sneak the pork mince stuffing in) and last time I made a ‘real’ Tiramisu only to realise one would not touch it as she hates coffee! Funny how I have this baggage from my school days 50 yrs ago!

    Hi Everyone
Nama, your dinner sounds so yummy.
I so happy to be apart of this positive group. I joined last year and lost my last 5 stubborn pounds. I ate every 3 hours before I started fasting. Now I can go until 11-or 2 some days.
I am learning to make this a habit.
Jo=jo thank you for starting this post.

    Morning/evening all,

I am up early on this sunny spring morning as I have to drop the car off at the service centre for it’s annual check.
Then it’s off to the gym.

First day of B2B FDs for me. I am determined to shed a few more lbs before I go to Rome in just under 3 weeks.

Nama, that lunch sounds delicious. You could always stuff the chicken breasts with some mozzarella and sage but you would need to cut a pocket in it rather than flatten it to minimise leakage during cooking. I guess you wouldn’t want to use cheese if you are serving Tartiflette with it or you could serve Dauphinoise or Lyonnaise potatoes.

Have a good one everybody 😜

    Good Morning Everyone,
It’s a sunny day here which is great since I plan to spend the day in the garden.
Nothing too ambitious just replanting pots that look very tatty. I probable have too many so will donate many empty big pots to my local community garden. I will also do them 50 small pot geranium cuttings for the to sell.
I have deliveries and workmen coming today so trapped at home. Just keeping out of the kitchen as fasting today too. Not weighing till Friday as painkillers still in my system. God knows what it will read after a full week on them.
Keep Fasting, keep drinking water and keep walking.
Thank you all for being there and being beautiful people.
Hope the birthday girls had lots of fun this weekend.
Health CoachB. Let us know dates for London, If I can meet up I will but it takes a couple of hours by train from here. Smithy, how about you? Shall we do the Shard together? Amazon – Are you around July? Reply to Facebook or message direct to email please.

    Dear All,
I’d like to jump in and join you two years on. Hoping to lose a stone and get fitter and more active at the same time. I’ve enjoyed reading back over some of the thread and clocking the progress you’re all making. Did my second fast day yesterday and am keeping away from the scales until I’ve done another couple of weeks. I’m in London, coming up for 60, walking and outdoor swimming are my preferred sports.
    Lizzi

good morning all you lovely people . Off to take Dad out soon . I have had such a lovely birthday weekend . Really spoiled . My hubby is a lovely man , my best pal and soulmate BUT he has never bought me flowers .Always a gentleman and I have never had any doubt about his feeling but never flowers . THis year he bought me 5 bunches . all together now AWWWW!!!. :). Just made my day . AND the most romantic card I have ever had . AWWW again :).

About 6 years ago I did low carb and I lost 5 stone except for 4 pounds . Mam and dad had been suffering from Alzheimer’s and were getting really troubled and with the stress of worrying about them both and I slowly put most of it back on .
2 years ago I found 5.2 and within the year I lost the lot plus another 4 pounds and made the 5 stone THEN another stone . 4 stone in the year . So that was 4 stone on 5.2 in the year . 70 pounds in total but 56 in the year on 5.2 . I have been maintaining for over a year now and I feel younger than I ever have in many many years .

I started this because it said it helps to keep Alzheimers at bay and I have RA and asthma . The difference in my RA is unbelievable and I only ever use the preventer going to bed and again on getting up .

I was a size 22/24 and on my birthday I had on 12/14 yipeee .
It was my birthday on Sunday (74) and I had such a lovely week end . I felt so blessed and so happy . I DID have lots of ice cream and yes!! I have put on about 5 pounds BUT it hasn’t bothered me in the least this time because I know a couple of liquid only fasts will see the pound off again .
Jim is watching for the post every day for the appointment for the heart scan so they can go ahead with the open aneurysm surgery . When that is over with and he is feeling better then my life will be perfect . Family is so important and we are so so blessed .

    Love Wee xx

Thank you all for the support you give me and although I don’t post all the time I read every post every day x

Oh Wee, how fabulous. …flowers after all these years? So I can look forward to some frpm my boy in a few more years? I’ll get your lovely Jim to talk to Mr P πŸ˜‰
You have done brilliantly with weight control and maintenance. You also understand that you CAN enjoy special foods, in moderation, as long as you allow for it in the overall scheme (regular fasts).
Well done Wee. Glad the birthday was such a success. P x

I am so glad you had lots of ice cream Wee!! It sounds like the Festival of Weemam is not over yet….

Welcome Lizzie, tell us how your 5:2 journey unravels. There is lots of support on this thread!

We just got the final Downton Abbey tonight (yeah, yeah its old news to you NH lot), so am off to bed with Auld Lang Sine (how do you spell it?) ringing in my ears!

    Hello All,
Great post Wee, glad you had icecream and flowers.
Welcome Lizzie, as you see, plenty of experience and sucess on this thread.
Perfect fast day today, liquid only. I have been in the garden all day, re- doing pots, finally completed. I also had to wait for four different men to arrive today and for once they all came. I now have a new iPhone and will send my two year old one to my daughter as she has some serious issues with hers. I didn’t really want a new one but my new ( cheaper contract than before) was based on renewal.
Nama – hope you enjoyed Downton’s happy ending.
Lizzie- perhaps you can meet us in July? In London, we are not serial killers just serial fasters. I live on the South Coast.

Weemam what a warm and uplifting powerful post the biggest and best congratulations possible for you romance loved filled relationship you are a credit to you and an inspiration to me.

Ha ha, Jojo, and well done on your liquid day. It would be fun to meet the fast set in London. Thank you for the welcome Nama. Just back from a Japanese meal with DSs and strangely full of seaweed, tempura and black sesame ice cream. Another fast day tomorrow I think. Good night all.

    Hi Everyone,
Thank you Amazon for learning more about fats and processed foods, I eat up that information. I am always listening to pod casts like ketoclarity, the fat burning man, and ella.
Wee- wow! Flowers! You desire them and more.
Fasted today, but kept it under 500 calories. Not all day water fast. I feel amazing.
    Good night all

    Morning/evening all,

Another FD for me today. Yesterday flew by as I kept busy and am intending on doing the same today. Off to the gym again this morning and maybe a walk later if I have time.

    Sarah,
I have (like many on this website) become very interested in how our bodies react to different foodstuffs. I worked in the health service and have a good basic understanding of human physiology but wanted to know more detail about the processes and interactions of enzymes, hormones etc and their effects on our health so I’ve been reading.
All of the books I’ve read point to low fat diets being bad for us, some stating that eating full fat products in moderation does not cause weight gain, and sugar and processed carbs being the culprits in weight gain and the diabetes epidemic across the world.

The Obesity Code by Jason Fung sends a message that says we regain weight after dieting because we need to lower our insulin levels/resistance or our bodies slow down our metabolism in order to restore our weight to what it was previously and the answer to that, alongside eating a more healthy diet, is fasting. That means that those of us following 5:2 and paying attention to what we eat are going to be able to maintain successfully, and that has been proven by Purple, Bay, Happy, Wee, RT, to name but a few.

We are on the right track πŸ™‚

Have a good one everybody 😜

Just entering my weight loss stats again since it seems that everyone else is doing the same!

    14 months on FD:
76.8lbs lost (from 213 to 136lbs) and bmi down from 36.5 to 23.4
10 lbs to go to goal weight! Feels like nothing!!

I am 69.5years old and when I started I called myself ‘sedentary ‘
I now have loads more energy and stamina – demonstrated by my achievements in packing up to move house at the moment!
So ‘moderately active’ is a much better description!!

    Hello everyone,

What a nice group to belong to! Nice Birthsy celebrations, partners becoming romantic, lots of weight loss and bright ones that keep us informed and optimistic also pains and aches slowly vanishing.

Since my company it’s not arriving tomorrow I will Fast today! The sooner the better. I am
Motivated with all of you good results em General. Not only weithloss but how heathy in general one can became.

I don’t have a menu yet! Most likely will be quinoa with chicken. I will miss my coffe with milk a lot … Maybe a drop.

    Enjoy the day/evening

In this case we should leave back to Connecttict earlier.

    Hello All,
Fast successful yesterday and keeping the calories low today 1000. Salad and smoked salmon, my favourite! Yum.
Played bowls today, outside, rested between turns, it was fine and the sun was shining. We kept the length short so I wouldn’t strain myself. First session back after winter so no one was keen to go full length. Warm those muscles up gently.
    Probably fast again tomorrow.
Pen nib- great performance, I doff my hat to you, Queen FasterπŸ˜‡

    Hiya all
RT love the quote and thank you . .

Thank you all so much . My birthday weekend is running into toady . Went down to see Dad yesterday and one of the carers Anna handed me a wee parcel . It was a wee jar all hand done with a gold paper circle top filled with chocolates ( I have passed them on) . a box of lovely handkerchiefs and a gorgeous hand made card with love from DAD and xx inside . It was so nice and I felt so special that they had made that for my Dad to give to me . People are so lovely . I went over to see Ross ( our youngest ) he had bought me some Irn Bru ice cream as a wee treat . he has CP as most of you know and brought it to me open and with a spoon . I really enjoyed it so the FD will be tomorrow and Friday :P. I have felt so loved and so special . I had over 300 special messages on FB too .
This group has helped so much with all the advice and encouragement and helped me to be where I want to be weight wise . I just wanted to say thank you xxxxx

    Wee xxxx

3rd day of the fasting and feel washed out. Stomach rumbling. Salad for my next meal . Had 4 mugs of tea today, maybe not enough fluid. And sadly my scales are not encouraging me. I have only 16lb to loose. I would be back to my weight when i was in my 20s and 30s and i am 69. Why i wonder do i need to do this . It to make me feel better about myself. Sadly i was sexually abused by my step father. I still feel i should have told someone at the time or gone out to avoid him. My mother never knew. He is long dead , never confronted him. Never saw him sfter my Mother died. Sorry to bring this up. Just explaining why i want to be thin. Many would not see i have any weight problem.
