  • Yes, I agree Amazon. Mr P and I actually compete to run upstairs to get things these days! More steps on the monitor. Who’s competitive? ?
Congratulations on your very wise posts on the various threads in the last few days Amazon. FTs, if you haven’t caught them, look over the forum. There is a wealth of experience being expressed in sound, practical terms. Thanks A. ๐Ÿ™‚ P

Thanks for the tip Purple, always great to read Amazon’s wise words. She & you both make a lot of sense and have the experience to back it up.

Wow Amazon, I have been washing cushion covers too! I call it Spring cleaning, whats your excuse!? Actually we had a furniture re shuffle with the new leather sofas arriving in August and I am just getting around to it – all the cushions at Jamieson no longer ‘worked’ and were pretty dusty too! Not sure how you can concentrate on the tennis whilst mending though!

I have been on line researching what vaccinations I need for Vietnam – gosh its a minefield! I think I will be guided by the doc tomorrow morning. And plan to keep away from dogs and monkeys, now I have read up on rabies! Not nice, no survivors! My other plan is to take lots of mozzie repellant and only eat cooked food! If I don’t post tomorrow night you will know I am under the weather from vaccinations!!

Good fast today, water and coffee all day, then veg soup for dinner. Only mishap a spoon of peanut butter – I think I am addicted to that stuff…. now for a nice pear then bed! Fast easier as another gorgeous day in the garden, makes a huge difference for me to be well out of the kitchen and busy doing something I enjoy.
    Cheers all xx

    Thanks Purple,
I try to be helpful but not at the cost of honesty……

Nama, don’t get bogged down worrying about getting sick. My motto is ensure that vaccinations such as tetanus, hepatitis are up to date, take anti malaria pills if recommended. I rarely get sick on holiday and haven’t had a tummy bug when away for more than twenty years. I always use the local tap water when I clean my teeth and common sense when making decisions regarding food. I will eat salad if it is offered and it looks good and invariably choose to eat what the locals are having and not tourist fodder.
I was one of two of our group eating curry for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Sri Lanka and did similar in India with no ill effects. I intend to eat what the locals eat when I go to Cambodia and I’m positive it’ll be delicious.

Thanks Amazon. Not really worried as it will be winter in Nth Vietnam, but not sure about the local water – you are braver than me. I will probably just have Hep A tomorrow, most others up to date or not essential. I dont like eating salad when I am out, even in Aus, a bit paranoid I am afraid. Our tank water at Jamieson is dodgy so we filter it and I only wash salad veg in filtered water there! Husband went to Jakarta for work once, ate with the locals, then rang me in agony with a tummy bug – not sure what he expected me to do over the phone. With gastro type things I am in the ‘prevention is better than cure’ camp, you are much braver than me!!

I believe that cleaning my teeth in local water wherever I am is rather like having a vaccination, and it has worked so far along with always washing my hands immediately prior to eating as germs lurk everywhere especially places like toilet door handles.
I am constantly amazed at poor personal hygiene, and it is usually other tourists who demonstrate it.

I’ve had Hep A and took part in clincial trials for Hep B vaccine many years ago. I need a tetanus booster before I go but that is all. I’ll check with my GP when I get my anti malarial prescription.

Thats an interesting theory of yours re drinking the water. As I said, you are braver than me! Completely agree re personal hygiene, I am in the OCD handwashing camp there when away from home! We always had Hep B when nursing (with all the blood etc around), but have never had Hep A. Most OS travel I have done has been to Europe and the States. Tetanus is always up to date as always injuring myself in the garden!!
I also agree re eating local food (why go otherwise) but still veer towards well cooked things!
A nursing friend and her doctor husband went to India last year and I was a bit alarmed at the number of vaccinations they had, including their children. They still all ended up getting a gut bug that required antibiotics on their return!! I do think there is an element of luck…

There may well be an element of luck, but I’m sticking with what I do. I also believe in helping my tummy by sterilizing it with some alcohol every evening ๐Ÿ˜‰
My guide book has just arrived and I am going to spend the rest of the day reading it. I am looking forward to teting the street food but am going to pass on the deep fried tarantulas and stick insects ??

On my second trip to India our tour leader delighted in taking us to restaurants where the locals ate and we were usually the only tourists in sight. We had excellent food and no-one was ill due to anything they had eaten. When we were on the coast I ate a lot of fish and seafood which had always been landed that day and was delicious.

I worked in Bangkok for a short time, had all the vaccinations and was very careful, but picked up a very nasty tummy bug that reoccurred for years. The reason…I was eating food the locals prepared for me. They have resistance to bugs that we have had no exposure to. Best to be cautious but still eat the cuisine of the culture.

I’m researching various areas in the UK for my upcoming trip. I have lots of language books in my travel section…Italian, French, German, Vietnamese, Thai, but nothing on UKish!!!! ?

Have a good one folks. P

    Hi Guys,
Just checking in from a free wifi bar. Still enjoying Wellington but mostly on my own now as my daughter is catching up with friends and going for job interviews.
Yesterday I went to the Dowse Gallery in Lowe Hut using my snapper card( like London Oyster card) I enjoyed the sea views travelling out to that district. They also had a huge Westfield Shopping Centre. Today’s visited Old St Paul’s Church, fantastic architecture and original stained glass windows. Perfect wedding venue so picturesque .
The weather here has been really sunny and quite hot so I am out in the fresh air as much as possible.
As for fasting it isn’t going too well, as usual just too much socialising. Trying to choose food wisely, it’s the best I can manage at the moment. Walking my feet off everyday so that should help.
From my reading back it sounds very positive, well done everyone. Keep moving.

    Morning/evening all,

I’m up early for the tennis ?

Another FD nailed yesterday and a busy day ahead today so hopefully I can keep the calories down.

Have a good one everybody ?

    Hi all,

I hope everyone is having a lovely day/evening/whatever!

Survived the jabs with no ill-effects (yet) that I can detect! Doc recommended Hep A and Typhoid, so went with that… He was especially delighted to see less of me though. Last time he saw me was when I went in to get some routine bloods ordered before I started 5:2, 21.5kgs more of me! I asked to get the bloods repeated as interesting exercise, so will get round to that soon. (Forgot and had a coffee this morning.) He was more interested in 5:2 than last September, so I gave him a brief ‘inservice’ He knew about it of course but had not seen any of his patients follow thru.. if my bloods have improved (to a better level of normal), I think he will be even more interested. Apparently he knows quite a few doctors on it though.

Very warm here today so we indulged in a day time movie (at home) and downloaded Finding Neverland. No one told me it was sad! Loved it though, Johnny Depp …. sigh….. Felt very decadent watching a daytime movie but it was too hot to garden!

    RT Smiley

Thanks RT! I’m looking forward to retirement now!

Nama, good to hear you’re inspiring your doctor. Spread the word!

Hmmm, so you’ve got a soft spot for Johnny Depp…? Shame he ain’t ever coming back your way… ๐Ÿ™‚

Brilliant RT, esp the last one!
We retirees still feel young you know, you young whippersnappers…
And Happy, doesn’t everyone love Johnny Depp? Even blokes cant resist him… Shame about the incident with the dog, very irresponsible of them. My favourite of his is ‘Chocolat”

Thanks RT. Mr P is about to retire…I’ll print these for him to refer to!!!! P ๐Ÿ˜†

Well done with the PR at the doctor’s Nama. I’m sure he’ll be raving about you!

Happy, I’ve watched Chocolat SO many times. Adorable. Juilette and Johnny are such a great combo, along with the wonderful performance by Judy Dench.

Glad you are enjoying the weather and scenery in NZ, Jo.

Have a good weekend fts. P

My GP has stopped mentioning my weight now that I’m slimmer than him…..

Where has the week gone? Time flies when you’re having fun ๐Ÿ˜‰

I visited my niece and great nephew today and he was awake this time. 7 weeks old and adorable, and wearing the outfit I bought for him ?

My new mattress is being delivered tomorrow so I decided to rearrange the bedroom furniture. They’ve given me a four hour delivery window which is very helpful but unfortunately right in the middle of the day. I’m hoping they come before noon so I can go to the gym.

    Johnny Depp, hmmmm……………

Just dropped by to say hi. All going well in Maintenance Mode. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m in the middle of a fast day going strong, only water and coffee for 24 hours. RT, haha! Best wishes to all. Bay ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Bay! Sorry there was no-one here to say Hi back! Great to hear from you and know the fasts are still going well….

Amazon you will love your new mattress! Memory foam is heaven, I love getting into my nest at night. Hope you managed to get to the gym too.

My exercise was a trek around Ikea today – gosh that shop is big! All to get some metal shelving for son’s garden shed – off there tomorrow to give some gardening lessons! They are keen but haven’t a clue where to start. They have bought a climber to plant and when I asked what it was, they said “a pink one” – could be anything! This is the son who was a fussy eater as a little one and is now a great cook. Never interested in my garden, but now he has his own, is really keen! I think its called ‘growing up’!

I managed a good fast today. Stuffed a giant mushroom for dinner, very filling. I used ricotta cheese mixed with some leftover salmon and topped with a bit of parmesan, yum. Weight is not falling off, I think its the non fast days are partly undoing my good work….still trying to get that balance!

    Enjoy your weekends all xx

    Afternoon/evening all,

    I went shopping at 8am.

Mattress delivered and on bed. I am looking forward to bed time ?

No gym as I’ve been busy doing other things. The washing line is full and laundry blowing in the breeze.

I’ve also made mincemeat and steeped some fruit for a cake. The Ch****mas kitchen is up and running ?

Despite all the kitchen action I am fasting today and have managed to watch most of four tennis matches ?

Have a good weekend everyone ?

Hiya Bay .. congrats on the Maintenance pal :).
Amazon I love my memory foam . It is like sleeping on a cloud ๐Ÿ™‚
Nama our sons are not keen gardeners either . They would probably have said green leaves .so pink is even better lol .
It was our 54 th anniversary as you know and it was lovely . We didn’t get for the meal as Ross had a really bad cough and didn’t want to be sitting eating and others being put off . SOO I just bought my Ice cream on the way home :). was going to do a FD yesterday BUT youngest granddaughter came to visit and guess what she brought me ? Yesss ice cream and it would have been wicket to refuse ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ . So today is a FD. ..been to visit Dad and had him out for a while . Glorious day here . Just going to relax and have a singing turnip llater ..

    Take care all

    Wee xx

    Hi Guys
Just sitting in Dixon Street Cafe using free wifi and eating vegetarian breakfast. I ordered chunky veg soup( Special) on the board, it turned up with chunks of lamb in it. Seriously! Never mind the breakfast alternate was good.
    No dinner for me tonight.
Amazon please stop talking about your memory foam mattress, I miss mine so much and I am sure the reason I am in pain every night is the mattress. I am walking a lot but not much more than at home, average 12,000 steps
I went back to the Botanical Gardens yesterday to experience a different route and take on the challenge of climbing to the highest point from the bottom. Good work out. There is a horn at the top and you stand in the middle to listen to the sounds of the City. Weird sensation.
I have just booked an expensive trip to Palliser on Monday includes wine and lunch so I won’t be fasting. I also get to walk up to the lighthouse. Hope the weather is kind. We have had it good so far so not complaining. Everyone here is helpful, friendly and charming, I love it.
Struggling with fasting, please nag me! I need it

Sorry, no fasting tomorrow, Jojo ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Jo. Nice to hear from you in the middle of a Saturday! What can I say? Drink lots of water so you are full, leave any bad carbs, push the plate away the second you have had enough. Forget about how much you paid for the plate of food. Remember how much the effort has cost to lose the weight. You CAN enjoy the trip and not gain weight!!! Enough nagging? ?? P ๐Ÿ˜†

    Morning/evening all,

Up early as I’ve another busy day ahead, with lots of cjores planned round two tennis matches and maybe a walk this afternoon if I can find the time.
Jojo, I’ve only mentioned the mattress a couple of times and would gladly swap it for your trip.
Regarding your weight, only you can control what goes onto your mouth. You have to be strong willed if you don’t want to undo all of your hard work. As for the soup, the answer is to ask what dishes contain before you order. Sound advice from Purple, you don’t have to eat everything on offer or on the plate. Even if it is expensive it’ll be cheaper to leave it than buying new clothes because you’ve grown out of what you’ve taken with you.
Stop fretting about it and do something, or it’ll spoil your holiday. You’ve come a long way im more than one sense of the word and you can control what you eat. We know it isn’t easy but it is doable ?
Enjoy Palliser, I’m sure it’ll be fab ?

    Have a good one everybody?

    Amazon,

The burning question is how did you sleep?

We’ve put pocket sprung memory foam mattresses on all our beds now, even in thr guest rooms. Everyone that stays sleeps well ๐Ÿ™‚

It took me a while to get used to it, I think because I wasn’t expecting the warmth.

    Hi Happy,

I slept very well thanks ?
I loved my old hard mattress but realised that in recent times I invariably sleep better when I am elsewhere even on the softest mattress, and it has been awful since I’ve had the current back problem, so it was time for a change. As soon as I got into bed I knew it would be fine. I’m hoping it will help my back as I don’t think all of the stiffness and soreness I’ve been experiencing is related to the problem.

The sun has just appeared ?

    Good morning all,

So pleased you are happy with your new mattress Amazon, I hope your poor back settles soon.
I am a bit stiff today, but just gardening induced! But the pleasure of gardening is worth it for me! And a hot shower will fix it.

I had a small success yesterday food wise. Despite it not being a fast day, by keeping busy and well away from the kitchen, my weight was down a bit more today instead of the usual ‘bounce’ upwards after a non-fast day. Motivation to keep this up today. Purple once commented that it is a bit depressing to learn just how little food we need to maintain our weight as we get older, no matter how active. I agree with her, plus it also makes me more determined to eat only really good quality and healthy yummy stuff!

Jojo, you asked to be nagged, but you really don’t need it! You know what to do. Purple and Amazon have said it all. Don’t let it spoil your wonderful adventure. I find the self-control muscle works better if it is used regularly. I know its hard, but remember its all ‘mind games’ and you CAN outsmart yourself!!

    Morning All,
Good sleep after eating a Chinese Crepe in the food market on Cuba Street. Delicious and filling. Just doing a little shopping today before visiting Barata. Thanks guys I am working on cutting latte’s for tea or water. Walking daily to keep my motivation going.
Tomorrows trip should involve quite a bit of walking so I will wear my Sketchers.

We have just spent a most delightful evening in the company of Jojo and her daughter – the first of many, we trust ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ . Enjoy your tomorrows.

    Morning/evening all

Another bright morning, I guess we’ll pay for this dry weather at some stage….. โ˜€

I didn’t set the alarm this morning and as a consequence was still in my bed at 9.30!
    Time to get moving.

Have a good one everybody ?

Those mattresses should come with a warning….

    You obviously needed it Amazon.
Good to hear the fts are getting on well in NZ. ?P

Keeping busy makes such a difference doesn’t it? I’ve been doing so on FDs but not really thinking about it on non FDs, so today I went out after my habitual two mugs of tea. I bought a lovely cushion cover in Bruges and have been meaning to buy a cushion for it ever since, so I found and bought one. I’ve also finished a throw for one of my sofas, which is cream and gets dirty very quickly, hence washing all the covers (again) last week.
It was too late even for me to eat granola when I got home so I had a coffee and waited for an hour.
When I was food shopping yesterday I found some late harvest English broad beans which I bought along with a tuna steak, so I’ve just had tuna niรงoise with broad beans rather than French beans. Washed down with a glass of red and I’m now very full with lots of calories in hand should I feel peckish later as all I’ve had prior to that was a few dried apricots.
Fingers crossed I can get through today without over eating.

My back is noticeably less stiff and sore after two nights on the memory foam and no stretching done. Physio assessment tomorrow, the end is in sight at last ?

I am a 19/5 disciple I have found it helps me stay on track on a daily bases 5-2 fast Mon & Thurs the 19/5 also removes the doubt or controls the other 5 days of on 5-2 Emel so no need to count/record calories on a non FD and while I am the first to acknowledge itโ€™s not for everyone and yes it does seem a tad aggressive and extreme to begin with but once mastered itโ€™s a skill set & becomes just a way of life and for me (a better way of life) I can now get 15000 plus steps into my day before eating anything at all ( not sure how biologically young I will be though ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) especially with the warmer weather and longer days that are here now with daylight savings. I love the extra day light after work however y-fee does not share my enthusiasm each to their own and as Bay once said

Hi Bay I was wondering where you where @ lurking I had presumed ๐Ÿ˜‰ & now I know enjoy the maintaining
    So

Exercising on an empty stomach has been shown to have a number of health and fitness benefits. It may even be a key to keep your body biologically young. This is most easily accomplished if you exercise first thing in the morning, before breakfast.
Part of the explanation for why exercising while fasted is beneficial is that this regimen complements your sympathetic nervous system (SNS) along with your capacity to burn fat. Your body’s fat burning processes are controlled by your SNS, which is activated by exercise and by lack of food. Another reason is that fasting can trigger a dramatic rise in human growth hormone (HGH), also known as “the fitness hormone.” Recent research found fasting raised HGH by 1,300 percent in women and 2,000 percent in men!1

When you exercise while intermittent fasting, it essentially forces your body to shed fat, as your body’s fat burning processes are controlled by your sympathetic nervous system (SNS), and your SNS is activated by exercise and lack of food.
The combination of fasting and exercising maximizes the impact of cellular factors and catalysts (cyclic AMP and AMP Kinases), which force the breakdown of fat and glycogen for energy.
This snippet I lifted from a good article IMO here

โ€œIt is easier to avoid eating than to stop eating once startedโ€
    Peace RT

Thanks RT. Good info. I always enjoy exercise on fast days. It makes sense, along with the brain being more alert, that we evolved with the ability to think and act best when we are hungry. Without this we would not have been able to feed ourselves. Once satiated, there is no need to be able to think and move quickly. The time to curl up and sleep is after we have caught that big meal (on feed days ? )
Happy, sleepy Wallabies fan. P ?

    Amazon,

I hope you have a productive physio assessment tomorrow and start to get some relief.

I’m glad to hear you’re liking your bed. I must admit I do sometimes wake up with a stiff back and sore heels. I think the memory foam is so comfortable that sometimes I just don’t move at all ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: exercise in a fasted state. Walking, yes. Swimming, yes. Running, no. Cycling, no. Maybe HIIT would be OK, but I just don’t feel well exercising hard for any length of time on a very empty stomach ๐Ÿ™

On that note, I can hear my lovely soft warm little nest calling… Night all!

    Hi everyone

Thanks for all your posts – interesting reading all round, especially wrt memory foam mattress. Have been considering but worried it might be too warm for the summer. Any opinion on that Nama?

Very busy at work and home over last week or so not much time to respond. Last week’s fasts went well and scales down 700g since this time last week.

Off to yoga now. Take care all and keep up the good work. n xxx

Good work Nicky! Are you fasting with me today? 2pm…entering danger time. ? P

Hi Purple, yes definitely fasting with you.

So far so good with a black tea with OH before I left for work and only cold water since then. Will have boiled egg and kiwi fruit at 3pm (eating window opens) then walk after work with OH followed by chicken salad for dinner.

Have banished all snacks out of sight and thanks to yours and others suggestions, no ‘lolling around’ between getting home and dinner time.

Interesting how sometimes it’s so hard and others quite easy.

Keep busy to stave off the temptations ๐Ÿ˜‰ N

Just gate crashing this thread as I spotted NickyF’s name on the ‘recent posts’ list and wanted to say hi. You were one of the inspirational people chatting on the SH thread when I joined it in Aug ’14. How are you doing Nicky? Unfortunately, no time to read all the posts above but I see a few other familiar names on this thread, hope everyone’s having a good day fasting or not. Cheers!

    Morning/evening all,

Up early for my physio appointment, and the street is busy as all the neighbours are leaving for work ?

Nicky, glad to hear you are back on track, I seem to be heading that way myself ?

I exercise first thing in the morning, usually the day after a FD and have always thought it fine as that is the way I started at the gym in January. Recently I’ve been going on FDs and found it easier but the difference isn’t too bad, and exercising the day after a FD means I have to work a bit harder which is good IMO and I can eat something substantial when I get home.

Have a good one everybody ?

Hi Nicky (and Thin and Amazon)
Glad you’re hanging in there. Nearly 6pm. 2 black coffees and litres of water for me so far. I do more strenuous exercise on fast days, mainly because it keeps me busy and away from food. It is amazing how hunger comes in waves and experience tells you it will pass. Weaken and you open the floodgates, or awaken the Hunger Giant.
As RT says, it’s easier to avoid eating than to stop. ? P

    Good evening or morning everyone,
Lovely dinner(Cambodian style) with Barata and her lovely family last night. Such a good memory for me. We forgot to take photo though, so annoying. Please send me a family shot.
Today I have had the most wonderful day out. Turns out only two people booked the trip to Paliser Bay so our guide David and my fellow traveller a 19 year old Norwegian with perfect English shared a glorious day. She too is travelling alone for three months on her Gap Year. She has been to seven countries so far, charming girl.
We encountered horses which we fed with carrot, cows which we herded with our vehicle, then we visited the sun bathing fur seals. We literally were less than Two feet from baby seals who ignored us completely. Their mothers were out at sea fishing and the males didn’t find us threatening so didn’t charge us. We even saw a bull elephant seal.
I bravely climbed a mountain to a lighthouse, there were 297 steps, but it was very steep and I am not keen on heights so I was very brave. We then had fish and chips for lunch which we really deserved. Then we went to a National park and crossed a swing bridge over a ravine, seriously scary adventure for me, my heart was racing. After recovery I found out we had to cross it again to return, but it was easier when not in the lead, although much more bouncy upon return. I think I should get a bravery medal today.
Finally we visited ‘Rivendell’ from ‘Lord of the Rings’ filming- very eventful trip. To round it off we then stopped a a Winery and were forced to try Champagne and 6 other wines. I will sleep well tonight even without my memory foam mattress.
Glad you are enjoying your mattress Amazon’
I used mine all through summer and did find it a bit warmer so I lowered the tog on my quilt, perfect result. Seriously you back will thank you for improving your mattress.

    Hi all,

Just finished a late dinner (8.30pm here) after a busy day which ended up with me gardening till it got dark! I am with you re daylight savings RT, love it! Had planned usual Mon fast but had last minute lunch invite so now will fast tomorrow….love the flexibility of 5:2!

Great to hear from you Nicky, also that fasting is easier for you. Re the mattress – I bought a pocket spring with memory foam top section about 4 yrs ago and love it. I actually have not noticed it being warmer, but if it was it would not be a problem. As Jojo said, she adjusted the quilt on top. Its so comfy I went out and bought a memory foam pillow too! I used to sleep with a (chiropractor supplied) curved foam one for my neck as I have an old whiplash injury. But the memory foam one is even better. I really miss it if away from home and unable to take it!

Re exercise when fasting. I regularly swim my laps with nothing but a coffee, then water etc all day until (fast) dinner. Initially I couldn’t manage it and got shaky a few times. But I believe that our bodies eventually adapt to switching to ketosis more efficiently, enabling us to burn fat to produce energy for the exercise. This is just my opinion, based on my own experience. I think our bodies main concern is survival and it is very clever when faced with adapting to change. Funny though, despite the exercise ‘high’ and obvious health benefits, I really don’t think I lose any more weight the weeks I swim regularly, than some weeks when I am unable to. I do find the exercise makes me far hungrier, so somethings happening!

Happy maybe you don’t have enough fat reserves for intense fasting exercise now you are maintaining? Maybe if I ever get to the stage where I have no energy for (fasting) exercise, then I will know I am at my ‘correct’ weight? Interesting stuff to ponder…..

Great to hear about your adventures Jojo – sounds wonderful. Dont expect a swing bridge or a lighhouse in Melbourne we will stay firmly on the ground!

Hi Wee and Nama and RT and Purple and all,

Just dropping by before I go to bed. I’ve been travelling a lot. Very interesting reading about the memory foam mattress. I certainly notice that my body feels hard seating more now that it’s leaner. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In my travels last week, I went to a funeral, spent time with relatives, and visited a 6 hours old baby. In the old words, in the midst of life, there is death, and there is also new life. It’s a wonderful world that we live in. I’ve also crisscrossed this beautiful country from South to North. ๐Ÿ˜†

Hi Thin, Nicky, maybe I’ll get West of here soon.

Jojo,, it’s great to hear you’re enjoying the Wellington region. We lived there for two years and loved it.

    Cheers, all. Bay ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hey RT,

That is fantastic news. You’ve already set a great example for Mrs RT and now you can be her mentor/punch bag while she comes to terms with the ips and downs of her own fasting journey ?

Terrific news RT. Your love is obviously seeing how exciting ? her “new” husband is and wanting some of it herself.
Take it gently with her though. Remember how long it took us to go cold turkey on food. Start her off with tasty healthy options and splitting her 400 cal over the day, initially. Most of us learn fairly quickly that it is easier to just not eat, but we need to discover that our bodies (and minds) can actually do it.
Go for it mate. You are possibly giving her the greatest present she’s ever had.
    Cheers P ?

Thanks team i really do appreciate your support and encouragement do not under value that.
Purple baby steps being the key word today
    RT
