  • Hey everyone, I started 5:2 Jan 2015 and and lost atleast 10lbs but stopped doing it after 9 months due to needing open heart surgery and not really focusing enough to do it. Now I’ve had my surgery and I’m looking forward to Getting back to it 🙈…hows everyone else coped getting back into it??

Kirstylamb29 – a late response, I have just seen your post. I was down about 30 lb when I had to have surgery for colon cancer. The medics were not keen on me re-starting 5:2 for a couple of months. Also the food my body would tolerate for the first few weeks was the worst kind – white rice, mashed potato, banana – anything bland that we would normally consider unwise. I put on weight. Now I am recovered I am back on 5:2. It is just like it was before – the rules are the same and it works the same. Good luck.
