  • Going forward, I plan to lose weight this year. In fact, it is one of my top priority, so I am going to use everything I can lay my hands on. A friend asked me to use this BMR calculator from this source; https://healthiack.com/bmr-calculator. Honestly, I don’t understand how knowing my BMR would help my achieve my weight loss goal or how to go about it. Any help please?

    Hi,

First of all, why would we need to when we have a calculator on this site?

I’m guessing you’ve posted on this website as you are planning to use 5:2 as a weight loss tool so I suggest you click on resources (at the top of the page), BMI calculator and use your goal weight and opt for sedentary as your exercise level to calculate your TDEE and stick to that on non fast days. If you do so you should lose weight and won’t need to make any adjustments when you get there.

    Good luck.
