  • So far i’ve found this diet great, from January 1st i weighed my heaviest ever at 11st 1lb, I was unhappy and you could tell everyone around me had noticed my weight gain. Now four months in I am down to 10st exactly; which is amazing! But for the past few weeks i don’t seem to be losing anything… On my fast days i can be at my lowest 9st 12lb but as soon as i go to my normal days my weight hikes right back up; i eat 1200-1500 on my non-fast days, i go to the gym 2-3 times a week.

I go on holiday in 6 weeks and i really want to be down to 9 and a half stone; has anyone got any tips for when the weight doesn’t seem to be dropping like it orginally did??

You’ve done really well so far well done!! Plateaus are normal and you may find just by sticking with it you will start losing again. Or, you could try upping your exercise a bit or try going low carb for a while to give you a bit of a kickstart?

    Did you adjust your TDEE?

I am 10 st 8 lb and my TDEE now is 1497 cal.
You are lighter, so your TDEE should be even less. It means, that on the days that you are eating 1500 cal you are overeating. Your fast day intake should be 1/4 of your new TDEE. For example for me it should be no more than 374 cal. I decided that it is just teasing, and do no-calories-fasts.

Hopefully it helps. I also starts in January with 11 st 9 lb, so I am right behind you.
You are doing great, and a perfect example for all of us! 🙂

    Hi Arabella and welcome:

If you have not lost any weight after four or more weeks you have hit a plateau. This may help you get started again: https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/on-plateaus/. Additional exercise won’t help very much and may slow you down.

    Good Luck!
