Can 6:1 still deliver benefits?

  • I was finding the 5:2 too hard to maintain so have been doing 6:1. 6 days of normal calorie intake (trying to eat healthier) and 1 day of a maximum of 500 calories. I am wondering if this will still deliver the benefits of intermittent fasting? Is there a reason why IF was 2 days a week in the original 5:2 program?

    I would imagine the 6/1 could work too. In theory, it would just take twice as long to reduce the same amount of weight.
