  • Hi,
i have been fasting a quite long time. My weight lost is about 16 kilo, and my cholesterol value is also improved. Iยดm happy with that ๐Ÿ™‚ But, there is maybe something not so well in my blood tests. My D-vitamin value is very low, only 40 (should be something between 80-100) and my potassium (P -K) has impaired from 4,5 to 3,5 (range 3,3 – 4,9). These ranges are Finnish recommendation, and maybe limit values are different in different countries. Potassium is very important vitamin among other things to the heart.

Have You noticed something like that during your fast? I really wonder why there values can be so low. Maybe i drink too much water, coffee, tee during fast days…? I believe my diet is very healthy. Do You have some advice to me to improve potassium level? My doctor told me not to take any potassium dietary supplement (pill).

    With beautiful winter greetings M

The information on this website shows foods that are high in potassium:

    Perhaps take a Vitamin D3 supplement ?

    Good luck !

    Hi,
thank You ๐Ÿ™‚ i will check this site.

Hi Miram. I too have had very low Vit D (19!) levels recently. I live in Australia and stay out of the sun because of skin cancer issues. My doctor put me onto 3 x Vit D caps per day. Three months later Vit D level is 91! My calcium levels have also improved as I wasn’t absorbing enough due to low Vit D! My finger nails are strong again!! Didn’t associate the two. Good luck. CM
