  • Golly Upt, you must be close to maintenance. What goal do you have and how much have you lost since starting? I weighed this morning at 77k and was plateaued at 75k had been up to 79k with not fasting last couple of months due to pain related lack of motivation……but trying to get back on board with all I have learnt and because of the great results overall. 🙂 I KNOW it will happen, I’d like to be around 72k as an ideal for my age and height…..so maybe by Xmas???? 🙂 🙂 xxxxxxxxxx

WOW 146 pages, keep up the good work team 🙂 I know these last 6-7k will be the hardest, but I’ll do it no matter what 🙂 xxxxxx

Lotus, not as distant as it was 6 months ago 🙂 xxxx

Hi team. Welcome Peopsh. I didn’t get roound to posting yesterday. I’ve been busy trying to keep warm. Yes it has been bitterly cold here in Tassie. Not quite as cold here on the NE coast but still white with frost close to the sea. Hallelujah my knee is better and we were able to get out for a good hour long walk this morning. Well rugged up of course. Despite me being slightly over the 500 calories on my last FD I’m down 500 gms since last weigh in. I’m fasting again today but will also be a tad over the allowed number of calories as I need to keep topped up with hot drinks. I’m really enjoying the Jarrah hot choloate drink.
Hubby is off to Gladstone this arvo for a weeks work. I was tempted to join him but didn’t have the heart to put Pepper in the kennels at this time of year.
CG it’s good to see that you are making some progress. Yes I understand your frustration. What’s that old saying. ” The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. ” I too get frustrated when my knee or some other annoying ailment crops up. Well team for those of us in Oz, spring is only about 3 weeks away and we will start to be into some warmer weather. Bring it on. Fast days are easier to cope with when its not so damn cold.
Stay strong team and remember it’s just for today.

My ultimate goal is yet to be decided CG, but I am getting there!

I started at 76 kilos aged 58 last November, aiming for 66kg’s. When I surprised myself by actually reaching that goal a few months ago, I decided to lower it to 60kg’s.

Before children I was 58kg. After one, I got back to 58kg. After 2 I went to 57kg! Somewhere along the line I lost track but after a further 2 children the only movement was up!

So technically, I should be able to weigh 58kg or 57kg’s without being at all underweight. I am happy at 64.9kg’s but when I sit down I have quite a big roll of fat around my middle. I also still have some back fat rolls under my bra so I know where the excess is.

I will revaluate at 60 kg’s and either continue or move to maintenance. I will definitely get there over the next few months. There is no doubt this works but I imagine the last few won’t be the easiest ones to lose. Time will tell!

I am 165 cm tall or 5’5″ and of average build.

Hi Up. The La Zuppa box of two soups is the correct one. I have settled on the chicken and vegetable with rice (wholegrain brown rice) because it is only 23 cals per pack and very tasty with the addition of bit of salt and few grinds of pepper. Just finished one after grocery shopping to help get rid of a headache, mainly sinus one as rain is forecast for this evening and it always stuffs me up when it hasn’t happened for a while.
Little known fact : would you believe W.A. is the wettest winter state in Aus.??? Even wetter than Melb. which has longer periods of just cold, miserable drizzle apparently. Even Tasmania is not as wet in winter as we are!! We don’t get summer rain/showers very often whereas Sydney/Melb. and Tassie get a fair bit over summer. We are still on total winter watering ban and then only twice a week in summer despite the above fact.
It has to be true ….. it was on the ABC!!!!!
Welcome Peopsh, good place to hang out.
Hard FD today so just a feeble wave to everyone .. cough, cough . YY xx

Hi everyone, I just realised tham my weigh-in post on Friday did not go through. I lost the last 400 grams of the 800 I had gained. So as of last Friday I was weighing 86 kilos. I have been flat out at home and at work but I will try to catch up during the weekend 🙂 I’ll post my weight tomorrow and I’ll double check to make sure it all goes through 🙂

Thanks, Yum. I’ll have to try that one.
Where in W.A are you? Such a lovely, if wet, state!

I’m in the southern suburbs of Perth Up. About 15 mins from Fremantle and about 20 mins from the CBD. Still chortling about the ‘wet state’ supposed to be raining cats and dogs here from early evening but nothing so far. We don’t do drizzle apparently, just solid rain blocks which makes us different to the other capitals. The word showers gets thrown around a lot. YY

    Hi All,

Loving this 5/2 caper. Not finding it as hard as I imagined I would when I started 4 weeks ago, although still a little challenging on the 500 day which has usually been around 600.

I’m committing to 4 week blocks, just seems to help the brain cope better to think ‘just 4 weeks’ doable.

    Start weight 87kg to-day 83kg. Happy Dance.

Hoping to start walking this week, just have to be mindful of the knees at the moment.

Wishing everyone a great week, whatever you are doing.

Oh dear, up half a kilo. Back to 65.4. My own fault. And just goes to show that 1 fast day is not enough to maintain if you go silly!

Next week! Determined to be 64.9 again next Friday.

Hope everyone does better than me!

Good work, Thisthyme! It is great isn’t it!

Greetings team. Well here is one happy not so little Vegemite. After 3 months of the dreaded plateau my weight is down by a kilo. I’m now 66 Kilos. Started at 78, eight months ago. I’d don’t know if it’s the very cold weather that has kick started my sluggish metabolism or its fluid or maybe my stars are in alignment! Anyhow I’ll take it. My original goal was 65 but I still have the unsightly bulge around the tummy so am now aiming for 60 kilos. I know it’s doable. My knee is also better so I was able to have another lovely long walk this morning.
The downside of the above is that I celebrated my success with a large cooked brekke. Fried eggs, bacon, mushrooms plus a fried banana. No doubt my caloric intake for a few days. BUT it was very yummy and I won’t eat anything more till dinner time.
CG let us not mention the cricket. Dear oh dear what a dismal performance.
It’s a lovely sunny day here. Still chilly but not as bad as it has been.
Enjoy your day team. I don’t know about the rest of you but I love Fridays.
    XX Doggy

Well done Doggie! Think you could throw a bit of your success this way? I’ve been pretty good NF days and often only around 450 FD’s and yet my scales are telling me I’m putting on chunks of 500 grams. It now has me back at 58 k’s and then 10 minutes later 600 gr lighter. Think I’ll check out the scales, they are only cheap weight watcher basics from Target that I’ve had a few years now. Otherwise too depressing. I usually love Fridays too but not lately.
Up maybe check your scales too 🙂
Thisthyme wonderful results. Well deserved happy dance.
Great to hear your results too Taco.
    Enjoy your day everyone,

    YY xx

Hi all 🙂 I have lost 100 grams and am now 85.9 🙂 Yay!!!!! I’m so glad to be away from 86kg- I hope to never, ever see that number again! I hope every one has had some loss- I am just so happy as I have finally got rid of that awful little gain! I’ll catch up with the posts asap- I have brought home lots of work to finish off this weekend but will make the time to catch up xxx 🙂

Dawg- congrats on the 500 Gm weight loss 🙂 that is great and I’m also glad to hear that your knee is better:)

YumYum – I have had problems with my old scales too but I think a kilo up or down could be water weight! My OH is doing the 5 2 diet for his cholesterol and he lives of air- he is soooooo slim and yet he gained a kilo? Go figure? – I’m jealous grrrrrrr

Up! Don’t beat yourself up! You have made so much progress! To be in the 60’s is amazing! I am no longer exhausted like I used to be b4 starting on 5 2 🙂 I have gained 800gms after losing my first 4/5 kilos, , plateaued etc but most importantly my body shape has been changing and I have lost cm – I can see a difference – I have even managed to squeeze into some clothes that did not fit b4 🙂

ThisThyme 🙂 wow! You are doing well , keep it up!

Milena 🙁 thinking of you. Xx

Country girl – it’s good to hear thT somehow you are on the mend 🙂 Thank you for your inspirational posts – they make a difference. Lots of hugs to your boys 🙂 x

    CG – I meant ‘that’

    Suejen 🙂 Happy holidays xxx

Lotus 🙂 I hope all is well with you, I know that you are always busy with work and have a monster-in-law to put up with. Xx

Raven, now that you have identified the foods that made you unwell, you will be back on track and feeling well 🙂 I think I will start to pay attention to my diet too, I know some things do not agree with me 🙁

    Fit 🙂

All the newbies 🙂 welcome , this WOL and this forum is amazing 🙂

    Taco! Well done!

I came across this article this morning. It helps explain my “lost the plot” diet of the last week.

After I took my son to hospital last week (shoulder), we stopped on the way home to get meds. He had been grumpy with me all morning , (pain does that!), so as a joke I went to buy him a snickers bar as well. I hope you have all seen the snickers ads as otherwise this won’t make sense. Turns out they were 2 for the price of one.

Normally, I would have given him both, but no. Of course I ate one and I seriously never eat stuff like that! This was not my only lapse of the week, the others included cheese and wine, more than once when I should have been sensible after the same son’s birthday extravaganza. My daughter is also under a lot of stress at the moment, dissertation writing as well as doing her first real lifeline shifts this week, after a lot of training, and organising an experiment to run next week. She was responsible for bringing a lot of the cheese, biscuits and quince paste into the house for all the same reasons! Then there is my husband who weakened on a couple of our non drinking nights this week so of course I joined in.

Anyway, the point is that we have to be kind to ourselves when we weaken at certain times. Our brain is doing what it can to protect us and everybody here has had stresses to deal with, some more than others. Mine is just everyday, minor stuff.

To take something positive from this, I am going to try to be aware of staying on track when I have no reason not to! That will make it easier to accept the non sensible times. The trick is not to fall into the trap of using stress as a justification for bad choices without even trying. Just to accept that if we weaken, it is OK. And as CG says, 5/2 is not our lives, just a very good part of it! It is my WOL now and this is a journey, not a race.

    Here is the link. http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2015/08/06/4287546.htm

Hi team, how lovely to see so much activity on our thread. Our 5:2 has bought us all together and created a family of like minded friends 🙂 Having each other makes our journey so much more doable because we are not doing it alone. Time is always a factor as to posting but the few minutes it takes can help YOU as well as others with inspiration. It lets others know they ARE normal! What is happening to them is normal. We need communication with each other constantly for our own well being.
My hospital visit was a “fizza” as not many questions were answered by the Jr. doctor I saw…who had not seen the operation report! What a waste of time, especially waiting 2.5 hrs!!! How rude this public system is. He “thinks” I might have bursitis in my knee causing all that pain!! Oh for crying out loud! He did say the fact I’m only taking one Lyrica instead of four is a bonus and must be doing well…….he kept leaving with me to confer with the registrar then came back still with no answer to my questions…..I was told it IS only 6 weeks since my op and things are still healing and they better see me in another 6 weeks….just to see how I’m going! I came home so bloody cross, 2 hrs drive with my son, then took thing into my own hands. I iced my knee which improved the pain so much. I will ask my GP Monday a lot of “my” questions when he takes my stitches out from the cancer removal, and basically fend for myself. I asked about mopping/sweeping, he said gauge by my pain level! So I have decided to slowly get back into life, I see my phisyo next week and will take it from there. Again, sorry to whinge but know a lot of you were interested in the outcome 🙂
So off the conveyor belt of the public system and fending for myself will get my AUSSIE DETERMINATION back on track. I will not over do things, I am not that stupid, but will walk more, weather permitting I will do more house work, within reason, I will ice my knee regularly may try ice/heat…….and I WILL go forward with a positive attitude 🙂 I know these young doctors have to start somewhere but golly!
Monday I am back on the wagon of 5:2 and WILL see results, I have 1.5k to go to get back to my plateau and WILL beat that too!
Rant over…….happy day team, enjoy your week end, do things you yearn to all week but can’t, it’s your time, you are blessed with good health, good eating habits, make the most of it 🙂 CG xxxxxxxx

Great post upt, good morning, really well written and heart felt, one we can all relate to….our posts crossed ……..happy day, chin up, you have done so well so please don’t be too hard on yourself. Did the snickers work as in the add?… 🙂 xxxxx

Taco, another mile stone for you, well done 🙂 xxxxxx

Thanks, CG. Sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory visit. How frustrating! That would have been one of those stress times in my above post I am sure!

As for the snickers, I think the ad may be a little misleading! But there was some improvement! 😉

Upt, on the way home from the hospital, my daughter and I usually gget lunch, my shout as a thank you, she wanted to try a new Italian restaurant she’d heard about. I had chicken, avocado salad and she had Caesar, BUT we shared a serve of hot chips and garlic bread! So 50/50 on good and almost good! But enjoyed our chat and time together 🙂 xxxxxxx

Up- thanks for sharing -I have had many a ‘snickers’ moments. I think I will need to watch what I eat during the week. I have been guilty of the cheese and crackers too! …we too have celebratory nibbles and I lead the way 🙂

CG – you are so right about posting – just trying to find the time as one person’s experience will help another. I’m sorry to hear that your hospital trip did not go the way it should have 🙁
I’m sure your GP will be able to answer more of your questions especially considering that he has had the same operation. I somehow don’t think you should sweep because it irequires a twisting kind of motion- perhaps buy a carpet sweeper , they can be used on hard floors too.

Dear team- we are going out for dinner tonight and I’m looking forward to it – specially the cocktails- it was my B’day last week so today is the B’day dinner:) I’m planning to be good during the day today and tomorrow so that I can make up for the dinner and drinks.

Taco enjoy your well deserved celebration, 5:2 is part of our life, not all of it, it does give us the windows for those special occasions so enjoy….happy birthday for last week. Thank you for the kind, understanding words, I’m being gentle with myself, in what I do, out of fear I think and that’s what I questioned as How long before I “relax” I feel my body is stiff…out of fear of the “old” pain, but that’s not giving me a relaxed gait and muscles are quite tense. Anyway, phisyo will help, hanging to see my chiro too as be just makes me feel like I’m walking on air, but hospital said not till I see them again! Long path but short window in my life span, so will soldier on, thinking positive, getting frustrated but smiling…. 🙂 xxxxxxxxx

Thanks CG 🙂 I’m really looking forward to tonight’s outing 🙂
I can just imagine how exhausted you must be and how sore other muscles /joints are from your guarded movements. Perhaps Christmas could become your ‘feel much better’ goal as it will be close to the 6 month recovery period. 🙂

Oh CG I do sympathise with you. I’m afraid that for a first world country, our public hospital system is just not good enough. You should definitely have been seen to by a specialist. Yes junior doctors do have to learn but they should be supervised by their seniors. When you see our politicians spending our money on all these helicopter trips and other stuff while they are busy cutting funding to health and education. They all need to be more accountable. Do take care and no do not sweep. That twisting motion is not for you at this stage.
Up, we are all human and most of us, if not all enjoy the good things in life. Wine, cheese, chocolates etc. yesterday I bought some blue cheese that I adore. I knew I should have left it but now it’s sitting in my fridge and I’m sure to pig out on it. Not to worry. Before we can wipe our eye out it will be Monday and yet another FD. Tomorrow I need to look up some recipes and cook up a batch of FD meals for the freezer.
It’s a lovely day here. Some of my Daffodils and Freesias are popping their heads up. Soon it will be spring.
Enjoy the day team and be kind to yourselves.

Yes it is maddening Doggy. Just home from shopping, driving surprisingly easier. Met a neighbour, local dairy farmer, huge property who had the op quite some time back. Both he and his wife said minimum of three months to even start feeling better and six before life seems to be getting in the normal range. Not to even think of sweeping or mopping, as you said for a loooong time yet. They both said just keep up with the walking, as much as I can do, day by day. Not to expect too much but it will all come good in a few months. It was the most informative conversation I’d had regarding rehab since the op. He said when weather was bad he went to the local (heated) pool and walked (only) in that. I am a member there for my water aerobics, which he said no way yet to, so it was a good hint for me. So after getting my stitches out Monday and confirming a few things with him, (my Dr) as well as questions, then beginning physio week after next, it will be off to the pool for walking 🙂 Like most things in our life we need to put out feelers and control our own destiny. Feeling a bit more positive now, not too worried I don’t quite feel like getting in the gardn yet 🙂 so back to being a couch potato and letting things continue to heal…happy day team xxxxxx

Doggie, that is a good idea freezing ahead. Don’t know why I haven’t done that!

Freesias and daffodils! I miss my cool climate gardening!

CG, how fortuitous! Good to hear your mood has lifted, and that all you need is time really. It is so easy to overdo it it, I know from experience post caesarians. Doing nothing isn’t as easy as it sounds. I remember carrying out a basket of washing to hang and paying for it big time. Sweeping is something you aren’t allowed to do after that either.

I remember my grandmother coming home from hospital after having her breast removed and washing the kitchen floor with her foot! So not necessary, and she had a fully functioning husband who would have done it. Admittedly, she didn’t damage herself and that is an extreme example but I think we just have to go with the flow and let standards slip a bit! The dirt will still be there when you are better. Of course, we know you aren’t silly, it is just that mistakes can happen so easily when you begin to feel OK.
Can you get some temporary home help?

Hi Upt, both my kids were Caesars too, then a hysterectomy now this! No I do get home help and they can only give me an hour a week from the shire, my home is 27sq so very basics done and appreciated, PAC, which is Post Acute Care, gave my three fortnightly visits and thats it, were only going to give two but I begged, more for the washing etc and shopping. It’s a laugh, really, had I had a baby I could get more care! I’m learning to be gentle with myself, just back off a bit, let things slide, and as you say, it will still be there when I’m able. My kids have helped but with busy lives to run and full time work it’s not easy for them with me being so far away. I’ll manage, just up for a whinge I guess 🙂 To top today off, just found my iPhone 6 which I bought from Ebay was decommissioned as a faulty machine and replaced, so I bough the dud! Can’t win a trick at the moment, paid almost the same as Apples price with bidding 🙁 …… What next? Apple are going to try to help me during normal hours come Monday, but I think I’ve done my dough..BE WARNED….enjoy your evening xxxxx
I’m watching the cricket soon so I seem to really like pain at the moment! 🙂 xxxx

CG- if you paid by PayPal, you may be eligible to get your money back. PayPal has a buyer protection guarantee- I’m not sure how it works but it’s worth looking into it.

Taco, I forgot about that, I’ll phone them today, thank you for the reminder. How can someone be so callous to do that. I don’t use it much, it sits in my car for when I’m out and about because there is no reception here, and it’s for emergency call basically. I updated for the larger screen! Because it wasn’t charging, and I kept blaming myself, cheap cables etc….eventually got onto Apple. They asked for the number on the back and that’s what alerted them. First and last time with that amout of money, I kept bidding as its 64g and seemed a good deal. Ouch!
Fasting day tomorrow team, so get your plans in place, don’t let that ruin your enjoyments today though. One day at a time aye! You don’t get to repeat these days so enjoy what life offers you, A beautiful morning is dawning here in Gippsland and it somehow just makes you feel good. The sunrise is a picture and the “mood” tingles with delight 🙂 My tulips are starting to wake up as are all my bulbs (which I generally forget about till this time of year) so Spring is getting things in the garden to come alive again, as it will with us too 🙂 the hibernation is coming to an end team…so enjoy xxxxxx

Good morning, evening, depending on where you all are. I’ve just been reading all your posts. CG it’s good that you met up with your neighbours and were able to get some info from them. I remember my orthopaedic surgeon telling me after my Total Knee Replacment. Look at your scar and note that it’s still pink ie still in the process of healing. Remember it’s the same inside too. So do take it easy and as other have said, it’s more important to get well. A bit of dirt won’t hurt you. I get all my exercise from walking. I don’t belong to a gym or anything like that. I think walking is a great way to keep fit. One can up the pace a bit if one feels up to it or just take a slow meander and admire the scenery.
Well our cricketers have not exactly covered themselves in glory. I’m sorry for Michael Clarke. It’s not a nice way to retire.
It’s a cloudy day here today with showers forecast for tomorrow. I’m going to have a lazy day. I enjoy doing. X stitch and listening to an audiobook on my iPad.
CG what a bummer re you iIPhone. I hope you get some help. Good idea to try Pay Pal.

Up. I’ve just been reading the article you gave us the link to. It’s very interesting. Many year ago when I was learning to play golf I was told that ” it’s all between the ears” ie it’s all in the mind. I’m of the opinion that the mind ( brain ) is a very powerful tool and it’s how we use it that can make or break us.
    XX

Hi Doggy, thanks to Taco’s suggestion I got onto Paypal and will get a full refund due to buyers protection. I am so grateful. $1110 is a hell of a lot of money to me and just can’t afford to blow it. It didn’t help my frame of mind at all yesterday. Today, feeling positive again, faith in justice, so ready to walk my garden, feed my sheep in my own pace and time. Overall it will be a lazy day in front of movies 🙂 whilst I heal!
Yes sad about Michael Clarke, hasn’t been the same since Phil was killed has he? I think he is more cautious and it’s taken its toll, also his back is an on going problem. Still, he has given his all with some fantastic play. Have a lovely day team xxxxxx

hi Taco, how lovely of you to think of me!

Still enough meat on these old bones to bounce back. Looking forward to babysitting three lovely cats on Tuesday.

Glad you got paypal sorted, CG, I put on a message on but it disappeared into the ether.

Im a big buyer on ebay, and a business seller. Ive had two big lots of gold not arrive, last one was nearly £4000. Paypal were their usual very helpful selves. I managed to track down the scammers as well, via facebook. Worked out the mother’s address from a photo on there. Told them I would send a message to their local pub and the football club where they played, and their employer. That scared them. Amazing how informative facebook can be.

I’ve heard of sellers losing out, but never buyers.

Though I do miss the old risky ebay, it was a war at times, some VERY unscrupulous oeople, but also some truly awful photos and descriptions, which were often amazing bargains. Still get bargains, but much harder to find, a lot more work.

Re dirt, two weeks of dust isnt very much different to one, as long as the toilet and the washbasin is clean, if my son ‘forgets’ his chores for a week, not worth arguing about. Very little needs ironing if you pull wet clothes and hang them damp, you cant tell that a duvet hasnt been ironed after its on the bed, and fitted bottom sheets dont need it.

Ive learned this since OH took over most of the housework, as Im faster on the computer. And I used to iron socks and bras.

I learned a long time ago that it took me six wipes to clean a baby’s bottom, took OH just one – I had to walk away the first time, but leaving him be resulted in him doing many nappy changes.

Ive learned that men do things differently, Scotsmen are frugal all cleaning products last way longer, men dont see dust and dirt as well as women, but they tend to be willing helpers if you accept their standards. And no one died cos the house wasn’t pristine – except the flies in the cobwebs.

Dare I say, as a Yorkshire lass, the cricket was good this week?

Enjoy your Sunday everyone. We had sun yesterday, might even get some more today!

Milena, your post! What a great read 🙂 Just reaching much the same conclusions about men and housework help. Other end to babies though – retirement. Left the bed while I took sheets to the laundry, got waylaid by something else and returned to find bed all made. Feel a bit short sheeted LOL but not about to complain. My pet peeve though is that he is a chronic tidier. Things I put somewhere to remind me to do something get tidied away and I forget stuff. OH also irons as that is the job he took on when we both worked and he used to iron knickers and bras til I set him straight, elastic melts! Also on cleaning day I put everything up off the floor to have a straight run. Guess what happens! Glad you get to babysit some kitties. It will help you heal.

CG what a saga about your phone. Scumbags. So good you used Paypal. Just replaced my own phone but settled for a 5S and a 24month plan. Would you believe it is the first iPhone of my own. Usually have hand me downs from my son but he still owns them.

Doggie and Up if you end up with some good freezer recipes would you share them. Some meals just don’t translate from freezer to plate in taste or texture but would be good to have some that do on hand.

Blown it this weekend. Not usually tempted by biscuits but my (misguided but lovely) son bought me a packet of my favourite Ginger Thins and I’ve eated half the packet already 🙁 Wouldn’t be so bad but I also bought (it was specialled, what else could I do!) a packet of Cheds and with the events of last week stressing me out also ate half the pack because I couldn’t sleep one night. Won’t be able to tell what damage I’ve done til I get new scales.

CG the aps on my old phone (think MFP) didn’t transfer across to my new phone (YES!!!!) so stress free on that front 🙂
Enjoy a leisurely Sunday everyone. YY xx

Hi girls, congrats Melina on the cricket, well deserved, we played wowfully!Next time aye? My original phone was so old, as I hardly ever use it, work used to phone me a lot but being retired for three years, nearlly four now ,the plan had run out years ago, I’m still on a $5 plan would you believe, so it was time to update well and truely (but not the plan) did so to my first iphone 4 but when I met the girls in Melbourne realised how small my screen was, so tried to updat again! Needn’t have bothered really, but the bigger screen and buttons make life easier on my eyes these days so went iphone 6. I’ll replace it, it lives in my car as we don’t get reception so just for safety if I hit a roo, or one hits me more likely, or whatever, it’s plugged into the charger always and stays there.
I have always been an ironer and a habit hard to break. Never been a chore in front of a movie for me, but now the way things are, little bit at a time, and on my bum in front of a movie with no guilts,, telling myself, it’s healing time 🙂
Walking done, sheep fed, fish pond topped up, a few “little” plants potted, and veg done for dinner (roast chicken) so movie time 🙂
Enjoy the day team, it’s lovely here xxxxxx

Hi team. I wonder if one of you wise folk can help. I’ve a recipe for Miso soup that uses Shiitake mushrooms. This one calls for 100 gms. Now the ones I I use are dehydrated so there are lots of them. I’ve Googled trying to find if the dry ones have a different calorie count to the hydrated ones. Can’t find it anywhere. I know they are low in calories that’s why I use them. If I get answer I’ll put the recipe on our thread as it freezes well and is quite tasty.

Yes Milena you may gloat about the cricket. England played the better cricket. One must be able to enjoy winning but also to not be a poor loser. Wow and the Aussies beat The All Blacks in the rugby. Now that’s one for the books.
And oh H—- LL. I’ve just pigged out on some cheese and biscuits, oh yes and a glass or two of wine.
    XX woof woof.

Oh Milena, babysitting 3 cats? That is very kind of you, you are a strong person. Xx
