Good morning everyone. Xxxx
Its a much warmer dayu here at 13 deg but of course we have the rain.. looks to be set in for the day by the forecast.
Yesterday I did a big shop at Tesco Dave I forgot about the butter beans I was going to ask.
So I am well stocked now for a while.. Trying to stop going to my local shop so much as its s very expensive.
Day 32 no Alc and not missing it at all now other than a fleeting thought about 6pm when I get Pips food.
Its my dreaded brass cleaning today .. I had cleaned it all recently but had ran out of brasso so my friend recommended the old fashioned way of vinegar yes it did look ok but very quickly looked dull . I keep thinking to put it all away although it looks lovely when all shiny.. I have pieces that where Mums and grans..
Dave.. How is it going this week.
Nana Is it a bicycle day today.
H H .. Enjoy you coffee with your friend…You will be smart with your hair trim.
Sym..What a shame Jacqui isnt herself.. illness always strikes at the wrong times..
The cruise sounds wonderful.. lovely to relax in the sunshine. .there’s nothing like it.
Enjoy your day everyone.. “Your potential knows no boundaries.” Xxxx
Day 20 – Ireland – NFD 🚫 ✅ 🚶🏽♀️ 🌾
Hello everyone, thanks for all your lovely and kind thoughts since I last posted… Mum left us very peacefully last week and we were with her which was so very special. I’m finding it hard to focus on much right now but I am here, have read through the posts and trying to get back into some sort of routine but it’s hard. Poca a poca as we would say…
@molij I am thinking of you and hope all goes well for you in the coming weeks.
@iona72 I hope your tests went well!
@stitchincarol I am so sorry you feel so under pressure and hope you are back with us soon.
@funshipfreddie I hope you had a fabulous birthday yesterday! The zip lining adventure sounds right up my tree🎈
Onward and downward ⬇️
We rise by lifting others 💕
Day 0 – 3rd Post – USA – NFD
@brightonbelle — Thank you! I reviewed those Day 1 posts and introductions just now. I wish you and everyone success on your journeys!
Kind regards,
Joseph
Day 20 UK 2nd post
@icystorm If you have time take a glance at the day 1 posts , we are a relatively small bunch this month so shouldn’t take too long , we all give a brief introduction – my focus is on being as healthy as possible, I’ve got around 15lbs to lose but it’s challenging
Day 0 – 2nd Post – USA – NFD
@brightonbelle — Many thanks for the kind welcome! I hope your fasting journey is going well for you. I may indeed start an FD on Friday, February 21. I’m excited to begin!
My intention is to have only electrolytes on my FDs, and eat healthy with a CD on my NFDs. Where are you goal-wise on your fasting journey, if I may ask?
I have 83 lbs to lose to reach my goal. I’ve lost over 90 lbs twice and reached a healthy weight both times, and 40+ lbs lots of times. So, here I go again! Long-term maintenance is the most challenging part of the journey for me. What do you find most challenging about the journey? Anyone and everyone, feel free to chime in and share your experiences!
Interestingly, I never get “stomach hungry” on fasts. It’s the boredom that I find the most difficult to overcome, but being part of this fasting forum is a major benefit! I appreciate you all! Peace, good health, and happiness to everyone on the journey! 😀
Cheers,
Joseph
Day 20 UK NFD
On an early train up to London but a rare treat I have WiFi so can log in
Happy belated birthday @funshipfreddie Hope your tests go are having a great time 🎢 more daredevil antics today ?
No electricity @ccco was that due to the renovations or a weather thing , anyway glad your back connected now
Welcome @icystorm never too late still more than a week left of the fab Feb challenge 💪 we really aren’t that big on rules etc I’m sure you’ll pick it up
Have a great day all
Day 0 – USA – NFD
Hi everyone,
I’m Joseph. I’m new to this forum but not new to fasting. I’ve engaged in 5:2, ADF, and many other fasting methods numerous times with great results. Fasting can be challenging, but I always find it easier with a group to share the experience with. It looks like there’s a solid community here, so I’m looking forward to becoming a part of it!
I’m 57, male, from the US, and weigh 253 lbs right now. My highest was 281 a couple of years ago. My long-term goal is to get down to 170, which would give me a healthy BMI at my height (5’11”). The lowest I’ve been in recent years was 174 in 2019.
I’m too late for the February 2025 challenge, but I’ll definitely be jumping into the March 2025 one when it begins.
I enjoy participating in daily accountability and the opportunity to share experiences with others. There’s nothing more motivating than reading about others’ successes and progress!
I’m looking forward to the journey with you all!
Best,
Joseph
P.S. If I’ve missed anything or crossed any lines with the forum rules, feel free to let me know! 😊
Day 20, NFD, Aus
PFDS. I do get hungry @merryapple but I firmly remind myself it will pass. Especially because I KNOW if I eat anything – even just a small tiny little morsel – that will unleash the hunger dragon and my FD will be shot. However, I do have to have coffee!! So, with milk, that means I’m probably imbibing around 100 calories. Not strictly a WFD.
Happy birthday (belatedly) @funshipfreddie. Looks like you found a funtripfreddie style of celebrating!
Day 20 NZ FD 70.6kg⬆️
Well that’s what happens when your sourdough comes out of the oven at 11pm and you’ve just started watching the ODI Cricket NZ vs Pakistan (in Pakistan)… I know you should NEVER cut the bread if you don’t want to eat it but I always like to see what the crumb is like… Duh!!
Happy Birthday 🥳 @funshipfreddie!! Sweet 16 AGAIN!!!
Looks like you’re having a great time in beautiful country side!! We used to call that a Flying Fox but it looks like a much safer set up!!
Yes @brightonbelle… It’s not that I’m eating bad food, it’s more my timetable or regimen… then I compensate by missing a meal. Time to go back to the basics but I go away first thing Sunday morning for two weeks. I have two birthdays of dear friends to celebrate before then… and the Texan is coming over for dinner on Friday night which is always a meaty affair…
Today needs to be a ”stellar” FD, in the words of @stitchincarol, whom I hope is doing well 👋
@penz I admire you for taking on a WFD… I cannot contemplate not eating just drinking water for a whole day but maybe I should try it😕 I imagine your RESOLVE needs to be 10/10 before you start? I’m not that great at sticking to the FD500s…
8 days to go, everyone
We can do this!!
Steely RESOLVE 💪
Pocket list 💝
@merry🍎
Evening!
Jean- glad that you’re having a nice time, but such a shame Jacqui is feeling poorly, hope she gets over it soon…
Dave- how is the decorating doing? We try to avoid the chocolate kids too, Xena is very edgy around them, parents don’t make them be careful around dogs, let them charge past, makes Xena jump..
Hemmy- hope you’ve had a good day?
And Nana too?
We had a nice day out, just had a latte out, no food… youngest has been for dinner, his course going well. Eldest has just been offered a new job too, so he’s chuffed as well.
Was going to meet my friend & her dog tomorrow for an early walk, but Juno’s hurt his leg, so we’re going out for coffee instead, then having my haircut.
Hopefully just the one meal tomorrow again.
Fueteventura is the first island in the canaries we went to. My favourite is Lanzarote.
Hi Everyone …
We are in La Palma, a lovely old town cobble streets and lovely shopping. It isn’t very touristy which is a nice change…
Jacqui has been unwell, we think chicken pox and viral rash too. She is fine then goes very fatigued, drunk dizzy feeling. The sun is keeping the rash at bay between 1 degree and 20 it suppresses it. At the moment it has gone down to nearly normal. We are keeping away from people and in the fresh air. Just in case we are right. We have been to the chemist they didn’t seem too bothered about it🤷♀️
We are having a good time and it’s very sunny about 20 to 22 degrees just my sort of temperature…
Hope you are all ok too many to comment on…we sail to Fueteventura tomorrow ..
Jean

Sorry I have not been online. We have had no electricity here but it is back!

Was raining when we started but stopped so not too bad a day, supposed to be warmer Schools are on half-term so can take Chloe out earlier than normal, she dosent like kids. They all want to stroke her.
Day 19 – USA/GA – ZBC
Weigh-in: 234 lbs. Skipping breakfast today, and I currently have no lunch plans either, but it is a NFD for me, supposedly. I’ll play it by ear 🙂
Good morning everyone rain here hopefully it will stop soon. Going bowling at 12-30,a rest from decorating. It’s only 3°C so I’m wrapping up well. Cottage pie and butter beans tonight. Have you tried them yet Hemmy?Got my hand warmers fully charged, all the others I play with have now got them.See I’m a trendsetter 😂.

What a great achievement @iona72 it really is important we look after ourselves , hope your tests go well
The dreaded yo yoing @merry🍎 I’m really frustrated, life just gets in the way , I’m hoping to manage my NFDs better I really do know what I need to do , applying it is the hard bit 😖
Hope your hosting is going well @funshipfreddie
Up and out early tomorrow for trip to Yorkshire, on trains most of the morning and then 3 family/friend visits lined up for afternoon and evening so may not get the chance to sign in but I’ll be back asap

Day 19, FD, Aus
Today’s WFD is a do over from yesterday. Yesterday I was hungry so decided to do a less than 500 calorie lunch. Well of course, that unleashed the dragon. I know myself better than that, so today I am sticking to a WFD.
Sorry to see you go @molij – look after yourself; all the best for the op and hope to see you back soon.
Well done Neil.
I’m also down this morning, nearly back to 77.6kg that I was after two FDs last week.
I’m on my second FD for the week, making it a B2B for me. I don’t have a great track record with B2B but I was motivated after seeing the scale number this morning, plus I’m not sure I can fit one in on other days this week.
Almost 12 noon and I’m having a black coffee. I do have a low cal lunch with me so I should be able to make it thru today. I know dinner tonight will be low cal too so I have a bit of wiggle room with lunch.
Roll on “me being able to fit into my dresses” lol
Have a great day everyone xx
Day 19 NZ NFD 70.1kg⬆️
@molij I completely understand and we will all be thinking of you. If you have a moment send us a 👋 Hopefully we might provide some distraction therapy for you!!😘❤️
@iona72 16lbs is a super achievement and surely must help with your checkup!!💪
@northgeorgia ⬇️despite all that stress… Go you!!
@brightonbelle Ooh a haircut!! How nice!!
I was hoping to have one before I go to the STH Island but it’s not to be. My hairdresser is now doing movie hair styling and only works on a Saturday. I have a booking in three weeks time…
@jaifaim I hope your mother is comfortable and you’re doing OK 😘
@penz Dogs are always happy with the simple things. If you wanted a mud bath and massage it would be cost a pretty penny🤣
@funshipfreddie you must be having fun!!
@excelsior12309 I’m about to to get the sourdough bug going and make bread before I go on holiday. I need to listen to your cautionary tale!!!
In the meantime steely RESOLVE is required!!
Cheers!!
Weigh in this morning and I was down 300g, so not much, but in the right direction.
Evening!
Dave- good you won the bowls, & lovely Chloe actually sniffing another dog! Would be good if this was the start of her getting more comfortable with dogs 🤞
Nana- well done with your weight! Sounds a lovely weekend, good to see your grandson 🥰
Hemmy- nice to have a garden centre trip & lunch out! You’re doing well with no alcohol, I definitely felt better for giving it up years ago, & now the same giving up sugar!
Jean- hope you’re having a great holiday!
The snowdrops were lovely as usual, we were both saying ours have disappeared from our gardens, very chilly though. Had a busy walk with Xena, normally might only see one person out early, but saw lots today, Xena very good with naughty Wally, a local dog who is not very friendly any more, she completely ignored him when he ran up to her growling and barking! She’s okay like that with smaller dogs…Did some shopping, had a doze on the sofa as I was awake at 3am! Have been hungry though but stuck to keto. Caught up with a friend who volunteers with the mounted police at Gloucestershire, it’s so sad, they might be closing the mounted section to save money, they don’t know for definite yet & don’t know where the horses will go…We’re going out tomorrow, hopefully I can resist any food!
Good afternoon everyone Xxxx
Its been a beautiful sunny day here .. lovely walk… saw some baby deer and rabbits over the fields.
Early walk as Garden Centre lunch with Chris .. all very tasty .. special of the day cottage pie .. so just something light this evening.
I found some good books from their exchange scheme .. so a good visit.
Nana.. Well done on your pound loss.. good luck this week..
Dave,, Well done on the bowls win.
H H ..How’s your day going.
Enjoy your evening everyone. “When you feel like giving up, remember why you tarted Xxxx
I would like to piggyback on this question. I’m also starting to fast this week. I’ve read all the different ways that people structure their fasting and I think I would do best with a 16/8 program or 15/9 or something like that. I understand that fasting itself is very beneficial to you, even if you don’t lose as much weight as you might like. My question is this: what is considered an effective length of fasting time to achieve those benefits? Obviously, it isn’t 4 hours. But is it 12 hours, 16 hours, ????
Day 18 NE England NFD
Quick check in while Granddaughter is napping! 💤
Hope you are ok @molij you must look after yourself first and foremost, we will all look forward to hearing from you when you are up to it 👍🏼
I have my 6 month blood test to monitor pre diabetes in the morning. So feeling a little apprehensive today. I hope losing 16 pounds since the last test has made a difference 🤔 my blood pressure is ok on the home kit but goes through the roof at the surgery😬I will let you know when I get the results.
Day 18 North Wales NFD
My fasting is going well and my clothes are feeling a little looser. I have been for my pre op today. My operation is in three weeks. I have been feeling extremely stressed recently. My health, the house move and family worries have all been getting on top of me. I have decided to bow out again as I cannot commit to a daily log in. I need to concentrate on my mental health. I appreciate all your support over the last 6 months. I will keep my eye on your posts from time to time. I wish everyone well in their efforts to lose weight. Hope your Mum is ok @jaifaim I have been thinking of you xxxx
With much love to you all ❤️
Day 18 – USA/GA – FD
Weigh-in: 235 lbs. I think I can make today a FD, despite the always-lunching coworker coming back as part of the panel for the final interviewer today, thanks to a packed day of events at work. I’ll be exhausted once I get home.

We were 16-8 down but managed a comeback to win. I had a breakfast for my tea last night, sausage egg bacon and beans. That’s ok but had 2 toast with it. Can’t resist toast.I still managed to stay within my limits for calories. Just been to the park with Chloe and a dog ran up to her while she was having a poo 😂. It’s the first time Chloe hasn’t backed away and ended up sniffing the dogs bum😬😂it made my day.

Afternoon all
Funny how one day can change so much, Sunday I was feeling pretty good, yesterday I didn’t eat enough protein and too many carbs, now I feel all bloated and yuck. At least the weather has been pretty good recently and I’ve been out to ride some trails after work. Today it’s changed though, and we’re scheduled to get some thunderstorms, so that will be interesting for my ride home.
Thin, driving lessons are going ok, although my boy’s main fault is he thinks he’s better than he is. A few times I’ve had to yell at him to slow down approaching an intersection, or grabbed the wheel when he’s almost drifted into a car on the side of the road, but he’s already talking about borrowing the car to get to school, or taking passengers once he’s got his full licence.
Quacka, keep up the good work, I’m sure the dresses will fit perfect by the time you get around to your trip.
Anzac, hopefully something will come up soon, I still can’t get over the fact that businesses aren’t even contacting unsuccessful applicants to let them know.
Cali, our eggs were quite expensive over here for a while, because the government brought in new regulations around animal welfare, and a few egg farms decided just to shut down rather than pay to bring their farms up to compliance. But now that the rest have got to compliance and ramped up production, the price has been coming down again, on special the cheap eggs are around $5 or $6 for a dozen. It’s still the cheapest form of animal protein. We use around 500g of meat for a meal for 4 of us, so it’s around $10-$13 for lamb, beef, pork, $6-$8 for chicken, but we use around 8 eggs for a meal for 4 of us, so that’s only around $4-$5.
Well weigh-in tomorrow, so hopefully my carbs from yesterday haven’t derailed my weigh-in this week.
Have a good one all
Good Morning Everyone
I’m on my first FD for this week as I didn’t do one yesterday which I had planned that way. Feeling pretty good but am getting hungry so thought I’d step in here and say hi.
Thanks for the congratulations on the weight loss. I think some of it may have been water weight because it’s gone back up after the weekend, but I will know for sure once I have completed my two FD for this week.
I did a lot of exercise over the weekend and really enjoyed but oh my goodness…. I was so hungry yesterday. I just couldn’t seem to get full so I thought today’s FD would be a little tough. All good, I’m halfway through it and I will just keep on going.
Hi thin, yes I think my passport would have all the new design features. It looks pretty fancy but it’s my first one so I’ve nothing to compare it to! I’m looking forward to our trip in May and being a little lighter for it. I have half a dozen summer dresses I would like to take with me but they are just a bit tight. A few kgs off will make them fit nicely again.
Anzac, hang in there. I understand it is disheartening and I hope something will come along for you soon.
Hugs to everyone and hope you’re all doing ok xx
Will check in tomorrow again.
Day 18, FD, Aus
My boy loves to swim but he gets a little daunted by the waves. In quiet water (think dams, lakes, rivers) he bounds through the water like a porpoise, biting at the splash he makes. My girl doesn’t quite understand the fuss but is still happy to go for a wade. What makes them both happy is wallowing in mud puddles. After rain at home, they know every spot on our usual walk routes which will have new puddles waiting for them.
Day 18 NZ NFD 69.5kg↓
Oops, my last comment was meant to be for @lilymartin not @penz… Apologies!!
Glad to hear you’re feeling better @northgeorgia and have a wee emergency pack of healthy snacks.
@ccco Our capital city, Wellington has had many public servants made redundant by our current coalition government. The effect on the city has been the middle classes having to reign in their spending. The streets are quiet, the cafes and shops empty and everyone is trying to hang on and work out how to pivot…
Have a good day everyone!!
Good Afternoon everyone,
It’s a lovely sunny day here but quite cold.
Managed to lose the pound that I’d gained from being away to celebrate OH’S birthday last week.
A good weekend starting with our usual Fri night meet up and an Indian takeaway, my turn to drive so no alcohol.
Saturday our grandson who’s in the army came to visit us along with his girlfriend which was lovely.
Yesterday was much quieter.
Have been good with my eating and am actually having a traditional 5:2 fd today.
Am feeling quite hungry so came on here to try and take my mind off it.
Dave good on not needing painkillers . Hope it’s not too cold for bowling.
Hedgehogs such a shame with your mum, hopefully she enjoyed the snowdrops.
Jean enjoy your holiday in the warm sunshine.
Hemmy good that you’re almost back to your pre Christmas weight.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
Nana xxx
Good afternoon everyone. Xxxx
Its a wonderful day sunshine and blue sky.. Bedding on the line.
A good weekend. Weighed this morning and exactly the same so a good weekend.
No Alc is 29 days today.. Its really going well .. Saturday evening I did give it a fleeting thought .. then told myself I had come eo far .. and it did the trick.
Dave.. Well done .. keep going with the alc .. keep counting your days. I am looking at an interesting site called “”Well Mind” .. it tells you daily how Alc affects peeps and everything that happens to the body when you stop. It covers peeps who don’t drink much and those that do .. Its interesting.. Look it up.
With your arthritis .Have you tried daily rubbing a small blob of Deep Heat cream into it Its good the heat definitely helps. eases it .. I have it in my knees .
H H .. Oh that reminds me soo much of my time with Mum.. She would often get things into her head and a job to shake them. Sometimes it takes over your day.
Did she enjoy the snowdrops…. I have lots in the garden.. Years ago I got some roots from over the fields.. now every time they are over I divide and replant.. They are soo pretty
Keep up your good work re your one meal don’t comfort eat.. Tell yourself you will regret it xx
Garden Centre for lunch tomorrow.. so early walk.
Its eggs beans and chips and mushrooms for me this evening .. What are you all having?.
“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Xxxx
Good evening all,
Anzac, thank you for the welcome back. That’s so rude that employers don’t bother replying to applicants. It must be very discouraging not knowing one way or the other. I’m hoping you and Mr A. can realise your dream to move north and start treating the lucky Queenslanders to some of your delicious fare even sooner than planned. How nice it will be to leave that stressful banking industry behind.
Quacka, good job on your loss so far. You’ll be all trimmed down for your next trip.
CalifD, lovely that you are back with us again. The fires in California are already having an impact on the cost of fire insurance in Western Australia, if not the whole country. Insurers buy their policies on world markets. Many home owners are uninsured in Australia due to flood or fire risk (past events, world events, or any other excuse) which seems very frightening to me. The area we’re considering is bush fire prone (where my OH has a lot of experience with aerial fire fighting) so it’s not a factor that we can discount lightly. It sounds similar to what GDSA experiences in SA. On the other hand, I don’t feel I can return to living in inner suburbia after experiencing life on a narrow boat. I need a view, plenty of space and a good distance between me and squawkers in their swimming pools. The other factor is the soaring housing costs and whether this is all a big bubble that could burst with changing world economies.
Lindsay, thank you. We haven’t abandoned our watery life, we love it. I suppose it’s a holiday, albeit an expensive one. We’re primarily taking care of business in Perth and exploring alternative storage and/or shipping options. The volume of our ‘stuff’ has been confirmed at 9.7 cubic metres which I’m quite proud of – not bad for three people over thirty years.
It’s also been fun to see friends and visit our old haunts. Yesterday, OH went flying with a friend and then went to visit the plane that he (OH) built himself in California and brought to Australia. The new owner has fitted it with jet engines and OH was keen to see it. Meanwhile, DD and I watched two dolphins swimming in Matilda Bay and then caught a train to Fremantle and went to the long-standing free concert at the Fremantle Arts Centre which featured Peruvian Jazz. Kookaburras are going right off in the trees by our apartment. We saw two large kangaroos on our way back from the hills the other night. So, it’s been a good old Aussie adventure so far.
Lindsay, enjoy your trip to Bali. There are some things cheaper here in Oz. I bought a new MacBook Air $500 cheaper than I could have in the UK. No luxury really – my MacBook Pro was 14 years old! And, although it’s the most expensive passport in the world, I saved $180 on renewing mine within Australia – It came very quickly and has some cool new design features. Quacka, you might have one?
Neil, what a ride – and how young you are! How’s it going with your son’s driving lessons?
Cinque, there seems to be a shortage of eggs in WA. Avian ‘flu someone said. I hope you are managing well and enjoying your family. I thought of you this week because I have a giant pile of clothing for the op shop. It’s fairly decent quality such as a lovely woollen coat but, after ten years of being size 10, I think it’s safe to say that I will not grow back into my size 14 clothing. 59.7kg this morning. FDs are all over the place due to socialising but I’m determined to get in one per week while here.
I feel I’ve missed someone. Turn, are you still here? How’s the tiny home building? Hello to all.

Afternoon!
Good your knees have improved Dave, how is Denise doing, are her knees, legs & back any better? So hard to lose weight if she’s in pain, it’s miserable…
Hoping to just have one meal today, but looked at my phone first thing & had a stroppy message from Mum, she’s confused about the heater that needs replacing & wants me to cancel it, she did this with the last one 😢 So feel like comfort eating, trying not to! I’m taking her to the woods to see the snowdrops so I might leave her there 😂
Have a good day all xx
Day 17 – USA/GA – FD
Weigh-in: 237 lbs. Feeling better… cold still lingering but a lot less coughing and runny nose. Got a packed, stressful week at work. I plan a FD today, but have learned that sinus drainage is not your friend on FDs — so just in case I start getting really queasy, I have an emergency snack pack of nuts, seeds, and wheat crackers. I’ll be refilling my water bottle many times today for sure.
Happy Monday!

Day 17 NZ FD
Where has this month gone!!
I’m back from a relaxing long weekend with two friends and Paisley the Scottie at the beach. We had a lovely time – visited old friends who live in a forest, went to the local market and cemetery, walked the river estuaries and beach, had a bike ride, got soaked by rain… I even bought a black satin jacket with overly large sleeves and a big silver zip, halfway between a Bomber and a motorcycle jacket, cropped onto the waist. So groovy with my black flares!!!
The weather was very windy and the sky filled with grey clouds so we didn’t go swimming but moody days on the beach are exhilarating… I cooked dinner on a BBQ – not something I normally do!!!
I relax and always eat a little too well when I’m being social… Hmmm
Am very pleased to be doing a FD today… 😁
@penz Dogs are so much fun at the beach. Do yours swim? Westies and Scotties dip their toes in but when you’re so low to the ground, it doesn’t take much for a wee wave to appear to be a roller!!
@funshipfreddie Enjoy entertaining your visitor!!
@iona72, @brightonbelle and @excelsior12309 I am in the same boat at the moment, losing the same 2kgs over and over…
Those poor kids in Texas… Why do adults have to be so irresponsibly dumb…
@stitchincarol I hope your break helps with your focus, although perhaps it’s not really a proper break if you’re super busy… Sending 😘
@ccco I’m pleased for you that your house expenses are pre-tariff… You must be getting pretty fit with all that shovelling snow
@penz I agree with @funshipfreddie. It’s managing food rather than loads of exercise that stimulates weight loss… Feeling fit does, however, make you feel good.
It’s midnight… Bedtime!!
Hope you are having a good day!!
Day 17-No. VA USA-FD 800
Well, I am checking in. Yesterday’s fast day was not really “up to code”…yes, there was bread involved, for the first time in weeks…so today is a FD 800. I know I can do that properly!

Hi all, quick check in as I have to share the computer with hubby now that I’ve lost my work laptop
Still no interviews and barely any responses to the jobs I have applied to. It is truly awful and I read daily about quality, skilled people saying they have been looking for months – if not a year or more. Yikes. I received a job offer from the bank I just left (another area) and once I added in the cost to commute it was not much more than half what they paid me before. I politely declined!! Rude
My weight is up and down, going nowhere really. I must try harder – there are no excuses
Must run, will try a longer post tomorrow

Another Sunday FD accomplished 🎯 I think that was my first & last FD for this week. I’ve got a visitor arriving from NZ tomorrow, so we’ll be eating out every day; probably twice a day. I’ll most likely be doing 4:3 next week to make amends 😳
@penz – welcome back!
Sending RESOLVE to the Monday fasters 💪 🎯

Day 17, NFD, Aus
I’ve been MIA because we’ve been down on the south coast (New South Wales) for the last few days. It was the first time our younger dog went to the beach! We all had a wonderful time and it seems a little dull to be back home.
I echo @excelsior1209’s comments @lilymartin. Tell us about your new puppy? Is this a working dog for the farm or a companion pet?
Hope those who are battling winter sniffles feel better soon.
And stick with us @stitchincarol! I’m with @funshipfreddie with this one – going solo doesnt work for me but I hope the time out works for you.
Good evening, very cold day today. Was glad to be home after the last walk. Bowling tomorrow I must be mad. Had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding took Chloe 4 minutes to eat a big bowl full. Then she fell asleep. No alcohol for 12 days, not as long as you Hemmy. Also not took co-codamol for a week I think. Not been in pain so maybe because I have lost a bit of weight my knees are feeling the benefit.
Afternoon!
Hemmy- poor you doing the brass…I should do my door handles but I really hate that job! Nice to have cake with your neighbour!
Dave- will be hard to get straight into a 24hr fast, maybe do a few days just one meal first? Are you having a roast tonight?
Jean- hope you’re enjoying the cruise?
Yesterday disappeared, we went to a market but didn’t buy anything, saw youngest, saw mum, & just did one meal again, managed 4 days last week. Had snow last night but it was gone this morning. Lazy day today, doing fish for both of us tonight…
Day 16 – USA/GA – NFD
Weigh-in: 237 lbs. Not sure when my next FD will be. I am just trying to nurture myself back to health with lots of fluids and lower calorie, vitamin-laden foods.
