    I feel into the peanut butter jar yesterday, and then said, wouldโ€™t this be so much better with honey added to it. โ˜น๏ธ I may have to dispose of the honey. ๐Ÿฏ

    @rainbowsmile & @anna6 – All this Fall cleaning and decluttering going on. Makes me feel like I need to step away from my computer and get busy!!

    Indulging in some food these days, that seem like a lot after 4 FDs earlier. Looking forward to a FD tomorrow. When the B2Bs produce results like those 5 lbs for you @daffodil2010, that’s pretty amazing! Mine were not as impactful unfortunately.

    @snowflake56 – good for you with Dutch and German more part of your life than English, your English is really great! I’m impressed. We spoke English and German in my home growing up. Then I took French in school being a Canadian. I spent a couple of years in Spain. Now I’d say I use English the most, followed by Spanish because of my work. With my parents we use more English than we used to; sometimes it’s a mixture of German & English.

    Awilson it’s instead of spring cleaning and after a hot summer it’s so nice to have a cleaner, spacious and uncluttered home ready for colder weather. Try it. It beats internet focusing.. good night.

    I actually started cutting back on my NFD food. I’m not sure how long it will last, I was feeling some hunger yesterday evening. I cut out about 1000 calories. Not so much for weight but I’m trying to reduce body fat more.

    @snowflake56 – it’s quite scary how quickly you loose muscle mass. Even though I can hobble on one foot, one leg is looking so much thinner than the other already.

    @okeydokey – oh to have a well trained dog like that lol even my children are not as well trained as that dog. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

    @debster251 – I have been watching that programme ‘how to stay young’ too. It is very interesting.

    @strawberriesandcream – hope things are good with you. Seems a while since we heard from you. Are you back from holidays?

    @rainbowsmile just batton down the hatches and weather the storm, it will pass. One day a rainbow will appear and the sun will shine.

    So as we approach the end of the month does anyone wish to lead for October? It’s not terribly difficult or as time consuming since we started our spreadsheet. But its as easy as you make it I suppose?
    September dry winos although I didn’t sign up with you I have not had a drop of alcohol since at least 9th September just b4 my op. Thought it best to stay off drink as it was hard enough to balance on one leg sober ha ha. My OH brought me in a small glass last night as we watched tv but I took one sip and said he could finish mine too. Didn’t do anything for me at all – now wine gums at the minute are a problem and a bit of a habit that needs to be stopped.
    Don’t forget if you fancy leading and keeping us in order for October shout out.

    Summer has come early. Still in September and temperatures were in the mid 30s on the weekend just passed. Itโ€™s late-morning on Monday now and already 26 degrees, tipped to hit 27 but it feels like itโ€™s going to get hotter than that.

    In the past when Iโ€™ve lost weight rapidly it bounces back just as quickly if I slip back into old habits. And I have lost nearly 20 kg in about 4 months. But this time seems to be different, my weight is stable, my pants are looser, and Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™ll lose a few more kilos as I get back into fasting 3 days per week and hitting the gym more regularly. Which hopefully starts this week.

    Listening to a friend at work, who is on a health kick, talking about how he โ€œbingedโ€ on the weekend was an eye-opener. He had a custard tart on Friday night and a piece of cheesecake on Saturday. I didnโ€™t tell him that I ate a whole cheesecake on Saturday and (by my standards) that was only a small binge.

    I havenโ€™t eaten anything today yet. Iโ€™m not really hungry, I have some instant soup in my desk and I might just have one serve of that.

    Day 25 -Ireland – FD

    Enjoyed wine with dinner, then some more while watching the Moto GP with DH….then a moment of craziness when I suddenly had an immense craving for tea and buttered white bread toast before bedtime! This would not have been possible if DH had NOT brought home a small sliced pan. We never have bread in the house as I bake my own oatbran bread. It’s his fault ๐Ÿ˜†

    Toast was delicious. Only up a pound today which is a result after the weekend. First of B2B FD today and it will be liquid only today with 500cals tomorrow.

    My son is back to school today though he finishes early for today only.

    Fasting at around 600 calories today.

    Well, yesterdaysโ€™ CD turned into a FD as I thought, so thatโ€™s one in the bag for this weeksโ€™ final push!!!

    @coda, Iโ€™m happy to welcome you as an honorary member of the Dry-winos, youโ€™re in good company with @bert1802. Confession time โ€“ There was a tangy wine gum episode on Saturday, an entire bag devoured throughout the day, within TDEE (so what?!!) โ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ Nutritional value = 0.000!!!!! In the end I just ate them to get rid of them!!!! Why are the bad things always on offer, my mind keeps saying, well, itโ€™s only ยฃ1.

    Busy week of socialising just when I need to be fasting! Lunch today, coffee morning tomorrow and out for dinner Wednesday… so looks like fasting Thursday and Friday.. Maybe squeeze in Sunday too for a hopefully good result on Monday morning!

    Come hell or high water, today is going to be an FD. I can not be this wishy washy anymore. I can tell I haven’t had a proper fast in many many moons as my sleep patterns are crazy again…… Ugg!

    @rainbowsmile……I have a pair, well two pairs of those fancy pants with decorations down the leg. I admit they could possibly be out of style but I can tell you this as soon as the weather cools a bit. I’ll be wearing them 1. Because they finally fit again and 2. I really like them. I’ve never been one to really care what the current fashion is, if I like something I wear it.

    @ metatauta…..I will look into that company, $750 isn’t a bad price for a mattress. I just can’t believe the money you pay for one and they don’t last……

    @ rainbowsmile, @anna6 and @awilson…. looks like I’ve created a decluttering trend. I’ve been working on my whole house since Sept. 1st. A little at a time, room by room. I’ve got a total of 14 rooms in my home, I’ve done 6 rooms now. The rooms, I’ve done feel lighter and our so much easier to clean…… I thought it would take only a month to do but looks like I’ll be doing it in Oct too….. I’m sure I could get it done faster but I only do about 20 min a day. It surprising how much crap a family can gather in just a short time, we’ve only been in this house 10 years and from the looks of crap we hung onto, it looks and feels more like a century…..

At the top put the date, where you located and what type of day it is for you ( see the top of my post for an example), share what you like, ask anything, someone will always respond. Then Oct., 1st you’ll be a week into to your fabulous New WOL……

    Slightly indulgent weekend. A family member’s birthday, so too many sweet treats in the house!

    But a run on Saturday and a longish walk on Sunday too, so not all bad.

    Back on the fasting with renewed vigour today! Sept has been about getting back on track. This has been harder than I thought. But I’m starting to feel like I want to take a bit more control now. I didn’t weigh myself at the start of Sept for fear of what I might see. I will weigh weekly in Oct though as that accountability makes a real difference to me.

    Hoping for a good FD tomorrow. Normally have a FD on Mondays but it is a Public Holiday in WA and we had friends to stay so breakfast and lunch out, dinner home with visiting family.
    Have had parties every weekend in September and for some it is a ‘special’ one to celebrate so more goodies and wine and carbs and sugar had than is wise or helpful or healthy.
    Have another 2 weekends of parties but hoping I can be a bit more sensible and controlled over the next few days.
    Who is hosting the October challenge? I would like to put my name down to take part in the challenge but unable to host as my mum is still not faring so well and much time spent away from home and computer.๐Ÿ˜”

    Yesterday turned out not terribly controlled, but will fast tomorrow. September has not felt like autumn at all here with highs in the 90’s F. for over a week. Weather reported we have had more 90 days this month than in July and August combined. Very strange. It’s been dry too, so the lawn is turning brown. We are beginning to see leaves turning though on our trees.

    It’s always nice to see newbies. YES! This system (or Way of Life – WOL) does work. And this group of challengers is most supportive. And friendly. And funny. And sympathetic.

    Onward and downward.

    Day 25 Akron OH FD. What a beautiful weekend we had, and for the first time I did not overindulge all weekend and I feel better for it this morning. I would like to welcome all the newbies; it’s never too late to start this way of life and you will be all set for the October challenge. By the way, any takers to host October?
    I am waiting until the end of the month to step on the scale, but I love the way I feel and the way my clothes fit. I was also asked if I had lost more weight over the weekend which is always a good sign. Okay friends; 5 days to go until the end of the month! Dig deep and find what you need to finish this month strong ๐Ÿ™‚

    240.6lbs
    So having dipped below 17st on the 15th I’m now back up at 17st 2lbs. Still convinced it’s water weight as despite the travelling I’ve been pretty good and managed to stick to my two fast days a week.
    Off to Germany again today so time to up the water intake again and try to recover for the end of the month.

    I have to run into Portland today. I hard boiled 2 eggs to take with me for lunch as they travel well. I need this to be a strong FD as the weekend was a disaster.

    Day 25 Sicily NFD I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of indulgences today but the evening will be disciplined. I know I’ll be below my TDEE. Our apt. In Sicily has 22 steps I have to go up and down 3x/day so that’s a bit of bonus exercise. Plan to swim in the Meditteranean again tomorrow.

    I really need this FD today after 3 days of eating too much and putting on almost 2 pounds. Only 5 more days to try and reach my month end goal. Unless a lot of the gain is water weight, the chance of making it doesnโ€™t look good. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

    @annemarilyn my English isn’t that great. You are the multilingual one here. I don’t react much on the posts because I just don’t know how to express myself in English. One of my uncles is living in Brantford/Ontario and one of my aunts is living in Grand Bend since the sixties. He celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary in the German Club there. The dress I use to measure myself is the one I bought in Toronto for this anniversary in September 1991, it’s still one of my favorites to wear at parties. My husband and I speak Dutch at home but when we are tired it’s a mixture of Dutch and German. Do you still have relatives in Germany?

    @coda have you found any exercise that could help you maintain the muscle mass?
    I didn’t eat any sugar or sweets for almost 6 months, since I’m on maintenance it’s crept back on the programm. Now I’m doing the mini challenge with @basyjames I find it really hard not to eat anything sweet. I think it’s a mental thing, I don’t have to lose weight anymore so I’m allowing myself to eat sweets. The problem is, I like sweets, I always did. So giving it up for a whole month would be a real challenge for me.

    @jessyoursize how is your FD, did you manage it?

    Back to work tomorrow, not looking forward to it at all.

    Iโ€™m happy so far that Iโ€™ve got 17 hours of water fasting so far. I will continue, somehow counting the hours and being able to include the hours that I sleep, has gotten me motivated again. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    @coda Giving up chocolate sweets is a hard one for me. Although it would be healthier. It would be easier if I replaced them with a Margarita or a martini ๐Ÿธ ๐Ÿ˜‚

    @coda & @snowflake56 Maybe this could help with @coda โ€˜s loss of muscle mass in the leg you are unable to stand on. I did leg lifts and arm raises and sit ups when I got restless, while my broken tibia and knee cap was healing. Pace yourself, it can help with the restlessness and some of the loss of muscle mass. The rest of the muscle mass will return when you are able to walk again. โœจ @coda Wishing you well and a smooth healing process.โœจ
