    Hi welcome to Oz,

I don’t have the pages you referred to, but the following may help:

As you’ve probably discovered, all of our nutrition labeling is in kilojoules and our weights are in grams. Our nutrition labels always include kilojoules & macro-nutrients for 100g and also for “a serve”. Most of us find the “serve” information pretty meaningless as the manufacturers get to decide what size a serve is.

    Basic Conversions:
500 calories = 2100 kilojoules for fast days.
    2000 calories = 8400 kilojoules for non-fast days

1 calorie is 4.2 kilojoules, but if you are out and trying to work out a rough calorie conversion in a cafe it’s easier to just remember 1:4

I use the following Australian website for nutrition information. It is extensive and includes both calories and kilojoules for each food item. Everything is based on 100g so you can adjust fairly easily for the portion size you’ve consumed.

thank you very much LJoyce. This is the first day of “new” fast diet.thank you for your help.

If you are here for a while you might want to join the Southern Hemisphere forum. They are a very supportive bunch of Aussies & New Zealanders.
