  • Hi All

If you join http://www.myfitnesspal.com there is a section where you can create a recipe, they have a huge database of ingredients with calorie figures.

Here is one I made earlier.

    Steamed chicken:
Ingredients Calories Carbs Fat Protein Sodium Sugar
    Homemade – Steamed Skinless Chicken Breast Fillet, 250 g 116 0 1 27 400 0
    Generic – Tender Stem Broccoli, 100 g 34 7 0 3 30 2
    A.J.’s Asparagus – Steamed, 5 asperges 20 5 0 3 3 2
    Ginger root – Raw, 5 slices (1″ dia) 9 2 0 0 1 0
    Amoy – Gold Label Dark Soy Sauce, 10 ml 10 3 0 1 600 2
    Giant Foods – Garlic (Fresh), 3 cloves (9 g) 13 3 0 1 2 0
    Sainsburys – Spring Onions, 100 g 28 3 1 2 0 3
    Coriander (cilantro) leaves – Raw (Cilantro, raw, Chinese parsley, raw), 0.25 cup 1 0 0 0 2 0

Another good one is Nutrition Data – it has recipes too and all sorts of things for diet and exercise. I get sucked into those sites asking myself questions like ‘Is a carrot healthier than a cauliflower?’

I cheat sometimes and use frozen herb mixes, I have to admit. Your recipe looks good!

That’s great to know. I have tried a few before but they listed too many packet foods and not enough raw ingredients. As I make most things from scratch, I need to add in each ingredient.

Thanks for the site testytoast 🙂 Have a great day all!
