Very pleased to have come in at 635 calories today just hope scales are kind tomorrow morning. Don’t think I can make it 3BTB in a row.

FD800 didn’t go as planned as I feel grotty and eaten the wrong things, reckon I am under 1000 though so can live with that. Was going to have a NFD tomorrow but as I can’t even think of wine at the moment will go for another 800/1000.
I am either lucky or unlucky that we don’t get ice cream vans round my way!

Gave Xena antihistamine in the end as her legs looked more lumpy, not sure that it helped though. She was still very lively even with the heat too, took her out at 8pm, it got dark really quickly, thought I might lose her in the park! Will take her out soon, then she goes to the dog sitters & we can finish packing. There should be wifi, I think but it was worded a bit strangely!

Back into the week with a vengeance!
And this morning is also turning into one of those mornings… Dog howled just before 6 and I thought it was just in his sleep… But it got the boy up, who got me up, and the dog was a bit clingy so I opened the back door. He shot out and barfed… So I got dressed and took him for his walk.
Got back and decided to make porridge – OH have laid the milk on it’s side in the fridge last night – milk everhwere this morning! Then when stirring porridge, managed to slosh the milk all over the stove top. OH came down… Er… Did I know the dog had been sick in my study!
The day has to get better, doesn’t it?

Steve seems brighter today, he decided to have a ride to the park and sit in the car while I walked him…fed up of four walls…
Charlie’s paw Is looking good, his sock on for a good few days yet, we have a good system going..he’s not keen but forgets it on when we are out.

Good morning,just about.Been shopping and put sun cream on ready for bowling, another hot day today.HH don’t eat too many puddings in Bakewell.I just met one of Heidi’s friends a big rottweiler called Willow,her owner uses a Zimmer frame and Willow almost pulled her over when she seen me,she is a beautiful dog.Time to melt in the sun now bowling.
Morning everyone. Jean, glad Steve was up for a ride, do him good and he could watch Charlie going off for his walk. HH I wonder what is causing Xena’s lumpy legs, doesn’t sound much to worry about anyway, just one of those things. I have forgotten where you are going on holiday, but have a great time. Will you post at all? Minols, I can cope with dog sick etc. It’s when it’s human I struggle 😂.
Anyway, feel a bit better today. Had my buttered oatcakes and marmite for breakfast and weighed the butter. Realised I had overestimated by 100 yesterday so that brought it down. Weighed myself on impulse and 2lb down from before the holiday (no I don’t know how either). 21lb lost, 12lb to go to my (not overly ambitious) target.

A bit of a slow journey, but lovely now we’re here, the cabin is gorgeous, the garden & hot tub overlook fields & a wood, very quiet. Cooled down here so we have been in the tub. Just relaxing tonight.

Mel well done on the weight loss i managed to end up weighing the same as last week so no loss but given the socialising we did last week I’m okay with that. Yesterday was the last fast day that I’m going to be able to do for August so I’ve managed to lose 4lbs for the month overall. We’ve just had a mild thunderstorm here with a little rain but it’s cooled it down nicely.
Jean hope Steve felt better for his trip out.

What a day!
Spoke to the cancer nurse and she thought an X-ray was needed….sent us to Scunthorpe hospital at 2 pm A & E, reception jumped the queue and she took us straight through to emergency room, lots of tests there moved us to a clinical area, X-ray..he is now being monitored for two days in hospital..concerned about PE and DVT due to his breathlessness, he has a chest infection picked up in hospital, his operation is fine. He is in the best place but it’s a worry..
I am shattered, I had to come home and take Charlie out and take pjs etc back, got back home at 10..

Good morning,it’s raining here🥴but much cooler 😀 I have had two phone calls from two of the team checking if I can play today, I said yes and to make things better,the gym session today has been still waiting for my first win, hoping to do it before next season.The green will be heavy today with the rain, yesterday is was so fast I bowled them off a couple of times.Never bowled in the rain,not great when you wear glasses.I hope Steve improves and you both can relax.

I think the antibiotics are kicking in his breathing and coughing seems to be better, he has had three injections and three to go to finish the course by lunch time tomorrow..no sign of the CT scan maybe waiting for all antibiotics to be finished…

Usual weds for us but have come in under my tdee plus walked three and a half miles and cycled three miles so a good day.Went to visit daughter this morning first thing also great grandsons and not forgetting grand puppy Poppy who’s getting so big.

Denise said she is not letting me out on my own, I always get women coming up to me asking about Heidi,today there was an 18 year old and a lady older than me. I managed the bowls,a bit upset by the result, I love at again 21-19 but was well in front,the team won and they are at very happy with the points I scored.A low day todayI had an accident while bowling the man I played backed into me while I was bent down picking up my bowl,he knocked my glasses and they cut into my nose,it was a total accident but it’s still bleeding now a few hours after it happened.
Dave- ouch, poor you, are you on warfrin, or just aspirin? Well done with the bowling , that was close, especially if you were playing injured!
Jean- glad Steve’s improving a bit…hopefully can come home tomorrow. I keep forgetting to ask if grandson passed his maths gcse?

Had lots of rain…unfortunately had to spend a while sheltering in a tea shop 😉 bakewell tart was lovely, didn’t go for the pud as not so keen on the custard bit. Managed a walk later when it dried up & the hot tub has been lovely. Dovedale tomorrow, hopefully the weather should be better.

Grandson..Yes third Time lucky for maths …thank goodness..two distinctions and a merit from collage, which we were very pleased with, he worked hard……he is off to Hull university for Business…but staying at home to keep the cost down….

Not getting much sleep here, tv decided to start flashing in the middle if the night, sheets on the bed we’re not used too as well! So we’ll be out soon to enjoy the 🌞 & scenery.
Jean I am smaller but my legs are still the same length,which means my knees will probably be up against the seat in front of me,the problem is all due to those planes that have been grounded,Tui have a few of them.And have ordered more🙄😬. Speedway tonight and Monday, going to Peterborough for speedway next week.They are having an heatwave in Cyprus at the moment,so hopefully it will cool down before I go,less than 2 weeks now.
Hi everyone, haven’t posted as still feeling under the weather, very chesty (as in disgusting) cough. Sleeping in the spare room. Did one FD800 after the holiday then sort of lost the will. I write it all down (only count calories on FDs) and looking at the last three days I had one at 850, one at 1000 and one light day so not bad considering. Having a NFD today with wine (must be feeling better 😂) then back to ADF.
Keeping up with the news on everyone. Jean, I am glad you have Charlie he must be such good company while Steve isn’t there. Home soon hopefully, HH I love Dovedale. Hope you are getting some sunshine but so glad it isn’t so hot today. P has taken Jodie to the seaside as a treat as she hasn’t wanted to walk much lately. I am going to lay on my bed, read and cough – bliss! (Apart from the cough bit!)

Poor Steve…CT scan negative for clots so test means he has caught a hospital infection, 10 days of antibiotic injections three times a day..three days down so another 7 days in hospital!!…he walked me out of the ward and I was surprised how good he was, he couldn’t walk 5 yards when I left him in on Tuesday..there and back I suppose 150 yards..so that’s brilliant…so so very fed up.
Operation is great and healing well, not much pain at all…

Stayed dry but not much sun; we loved Dovedale & had a good long walk along the river, & then climbed Thorpe Cloud- very steep, I got scared coming down!! Went ro Buxton as well…ice cream, choc muffins & hot chocolate today, plus croissants! Just cooking our dinner now- that’ll be interesting as the oven markings are worn away so can’t see the temperature properly 😂😂, hubby can’t taste much anyway & he can get tiddly finishing his wine 🍷!

Jean glad to hear Steve is improving but sad that he’s going to be in hospital for another 7 days but if it clears the infection up for good it’ll be worth it. Just a tiring time for you but at least you have your Charlie to keep you company.
Hedgehogs yes went to Ely as usual today but on my own as husband has to go for a chat with the asthma nurse at our Drs surgery. It meant I could have a look in Bon Marche in peace but sadly didn’t see anything that caught my eye. Sounds like you’re having a good time away. We’re going to Sheringham soon for a week – love going there.

I have a day off visiting up to now..Steve has his sister and BIL coming over from Lawton to visit him, he’s told me to give Charlie time…
So walk for me and cafe, hair colour so desperately late and needed…grass cut maybe..
Charlie was so naughty yesterday full of it all day, then he sat in the garden for three hours and wouldn’t come in, he missed his late walk…he has to have his sock on and harness on and wouldn’t come in…at 9 pm I put the hose pipe on him and it moved him to the decking and he dashed in..straight in his bed and he knew he was naughty as he was shaking ( I think that’s from his past), I took no notice and told him to come and sit with me which he did, I had to towel dry him. Gave him a big love and cuddle.I think he is missing Steve and confused why I am leaving him every day.

Afternoon..
I had a lovely leisurely walk in the park had a lovely homemade shortbread cookie, tea cake and coffee, which ended up being lunch…Charlie was better behaved but took his sock off…I may leave it off and see how we go not totally healed yet but about there..I have put plaster spray on see if it helps now it’s smaller and dry.
Hair coloured waiting for it to be processed then a shower to take it off…then grass cut…then me and Charlie time…
Strange relaxing and not dashing off…..Steve’s sister has arrived on the ward it will be a change for him, she has been very worried especially about the clots as their mother died of that after a stroke…trying to calm Charlie down he is missing us both..giving him lots of TLC…

A busy week before holiday…getting in the holiday swing…..
Enjoyed having a steady walk around the village…with no sock on..must keep an eye on the sore….we have both had cheese on toast, Charlie rather likes it, took some of mine then finished his 😂 I gave the kibble a miss…I added tomato to mine….I might have a glass of wine and a bit of chocolate see how I go, it’s my free Friday…
I have enjoyed my day without chasing about..I miss Steve but he doesn’t mind…🤞out for Thursday …his doctor said they are frightened the infection goes on to his operation area, it’s all clear at the moment..he had him walking up and down the ward, leaving him to do blowing and sucking exercises but then he starts coughing!
