  • Hey there,
I thinking of cup a soups and wondered if you lot use them when on a fast day and which is the best tasting but lowest calorie? Its certainly cold out there and a hot cup of soup is lovely in the hands!!
    Cheers….

Hi @donnamarie. I tend not to use cuppa soups as most aren’t gluten free (I’m celiac) and are also full of additives. I make a lot of my own soups as it’s really easy. You could make a batch and it’s good to use over 3 days. Alternatively miso, bovril, bouillon are lovely warming drinks. They also tend to be salty which is good on FDs.

If you’re wanting something ‘creamier’, a table spoon of double cream added to chicken or beef bovril is lovely.

Instant miso soups come in a variety of flavours and are much more likely to be additive free. I find them very satisfying on a cold day when it’s not yet time for dinner.
