  • Oh shite, just realised we have change the subject – bahahaha –

Count me in on the cruise girls, sounds wonderful. I may have to stow OH away tho, he would not be happy – hmmmm.

Would he be happy on a girls holiday?

Now…. Diip, It’s time we took u in hand…..first off, nuthin’ is beyond anyone as practical as yourself! You cut to the chase very well. That’s really all it needs. And we are talking about common sense here, as apposed to ‘commercial sense’ – and the set curriculum of educational institutions.

Unfortunately, due to cumbersome protocols, which serve neither man nor beast other than to cover their asses legally, educative formats are, on average, at least multiple years behind actual factual advances in common sense! (ie) experience based proof or disproof of theoretical supposition. ( or: if ya done it and it works for you, it’s good, mate. If not, then they’re bloody wrong). So experience counts every time. Trust your gut and you will end up the expert.

Admittedly it’s scary to discover that science is not actually keeping pace with evolution. But it’s only because they take another year or two to test everything before changing anything that has already been proven by the unfortunates it’s already happened to. So treatments fail, theories don’t pan out, but it’ll take a year of stats to justify changing anything. Meanwhile, practitioners (of health care) are hog-tied by legal guidelines , brainwashed by their own disciplinary blinkers and obliged to be adamant that their advice is top hole.

Be grateful your brain doesn’t thrive on such crap and take a bow. It takes some several degrees to get over the fallacies and figure out the above.

Now – since you are so close to Brissie, I really think you should consider a cruise with your elders. Lord knows what you could teach us!

So I’ll see what the paperwork sez about cruise prospects for a group budget, CG. and we’ll see what transpires. xx gyps

Thank you for that Gyps, you are truly a gem! Sounds like a plan.
Yes CG, he probably would – LOL

    Where is FB?

    Hi All!
Lots of ‘food’ for thought here, gals!! 😉
Doggy – I get what you’re saying about Dr M’s findings on fat not being the big no-no that it used to be and also the cholesterol from eggs etc. But I think if you have high cholesterol that is not caused by diet, then that is still a problem that has to be addressed. I don’t seem to have any side effects from the statins I’m taking, but that’s not to say that there isn’t some damage being done on the inside. So I don’t dare not take them but I’m also worried about it! 🙁
SJ – I must look into a combined type, never heard of that.
Gypsy – thank you for even considering me in your plans for travel vouchers etc.<3 You are so kind and generous! I am almost certain that my OH and I will travel to Oz next year, so if there is a definite time and place, I am going to do my best to make sure we are there 🙂
MG, Lotus, Doit – everyone’s point of view, experience, research etc is valid and contributes to the growing wisdom on this forum, so bring it on….we can only learn and grow by sharing and chatting here…..and it keeps us mentally fitter! 🙂
CG – love the sound of your soup – must keep it in mind for when the weather gets cooler again. We’re still having a bright, warmish spell here, woohoo!
Went out for a meal with OH and girls last night and feel so bloated and uncomfortable this morning….just not used to eating that much late at night and I missed not having a FD yesterday….what?!!!!! 😆 That can’t be right!!!! Don’t think I can fast today either because I’m going on shopping trip with sister and daughter, so have to go somewhere nice for coffee and cake 😳 Maybe manage a semi-fast?…..We’ll see! Best of luck to all! 🙂

Fit like we all keep saying, family friends and special occasions certainly outweigh the necessity for a fast! 🙂 the precious time are just that and 5:2 can always be slotted in somewhere! If not a week off will not do too much damage so enjoy!
The soup WAS yummy, I do like lots of blended flavour but it wasn’t overly done, such a huge caulie and spuds soaked up a lot of flavour but when using the stick blender it became lovely and think and creamy. I have plenty to freeze so will be great after next week to save my girlfriend doing lunch. My freezers are bursting at the sides so plenty of food to do us all.
I’m so glad your living it up with family Fit, it must be so difficult and pull at the heart strings when “the chicks” fly so far from home 🙂
Have a lovely evening team, yes, where is FB, hope she is well, maybe snowed under with work, and GG might post for us tonight, welcome back my friend. 🙂 xxxxxx

The TRESURE is back! alis GG (GO GAL)…. What an exciting week you all have had whilst I have been away. Some interesting topics have been discussed.
CG – You look fabulous in “THE SKIRT”
A cruise sounds exciting!…. What does the Mistress of Tourism think?
WELCOME TO OUR NEW MEMBERS…. hope you enjoy Aussie Determination and this incredible and doable WOL with 5:2.
My week was spent with my family. When I have several days off I help care for my Dad at home with my Mum and 2 wonderful sisters. It gives my Mum a chance to have some time to herself catch up with friends at her PROBUS group. I am constantly amazed at my Dad’s strength he can still give his daughters a run for their money,he has renal dysfunction and a heart condition yet the length of this string seems to have no end at the moment. He just bounces back each time a relapse occurs.
Have done mainly 12 hr fasts while in Sydney…. I just cannot do a FD justice when there.Soooo many good places to eat esp Italian and Mexican food. This is the beauty of 5:2 , as we say it is very forgiving…… Next week is always there.
Will look forward to reading the previous posts tomorrow so I an in the loop with all of you………GO GAL XXXXX

Welcome back GG good to have our Tresure back! Must be tough for you but so glad to hear that your Dad bounces back AND has the strength of an ox by the sound of it. They’re pretty tough some of those oldies!
Gyps either a discount on a hotel or a cruise sounds fabulous!! I just need to get my act together and get some dollars in the bank as we have the USA first in Feb (grandies & son & DIL). So no promises as yet AND a long way from Perth too. But doooo want to be there. sj XXX

Health direction? sounds more like an attempted ambush. sorry, wrong number…

Ok, that is your call ..no hard feelings:)

Good morning team! My goodness this thread moves fast (pun intended) 🙂
GG – welcome back, good to know your dad is doing better 🙂 special times….
Gypsy – a voice beyond the wrinkles… Bootiful poetry mate.. But remember we saw your photo – what wrinkles? 😉 Yes to the cruise idea, and yes, we could do both Sydney and Brisbane – and people choose both or either as it is convenient, the deal sounds good…
CG – soup sounds good, are you able to pop it into the recipe thread, pretty please 🙂 Would love to try it one day 🙂
Fast Day today for me… After a tapeworm day yesterday, so hopefully go for a longer fast ( going to try eating late arvo rather than early)

CG – you are so right about family times; I am going to enjoy these precious few days with my two girls and 5:2 will be waiting for me on the other side! Usually weigh in tomorrow but think I’ll ignore this week or I might get disheartened.
GG – great to have you back; you sound in good form. Your dad sounds amazing and it’s wonderful to have this time to share with him, your mum and your sisters. These are times to treasure and you will always be glad you had the opportunity to care for your parents when they needed it.
Lotus – I’m afraid my tapeworm has woken up too so we’ll both have to squash them with our 5:2 strategies…we can do this!! 🙂

    Good morning everyone

GG, welcome back, glad to hear your dad has gotten better!

I have been doing quite well this week with food, dropped those nastie kilos from the weekend and hopefully drop some more by Friday.

Must log off and go to my 2nd desk, yes it is Wednesday 🙁 Got into trouble last week as I was on the internet when all were in a meeting and when they came out I quickly shut down. Obviously caught red handed but hey, isn’t that what any employee would do? Log off? Anyway, they said they would rather me leave it open and not be sneaky about it – WTF, it is like I am back at school. So I have learnt my lesson, do not shut down and keep looking at the Country Road website. hahaha.

Have a great day team, will check in after 4.30.

Good morning team, I’m up a K and have been over past few days but not to worry, seems to be the norm for winter. Not quite the lettuce leaf, celery stick weather! Enjoying going back to full cream milk, weight went on BEFORE transferring, and noticed a lot more satisfied…. Not looking for that something you can’t quite put your finger on. Full cream latte (homemade) last night, only 1/2 cup milk frothed up, so yum and “filling” and not the hungry feeling going to bed. 🙂
Lotus I added the soup recipe to our site for you, I only made it up yesterday so sharing it seems strange, I never use recipes but often wished I wrote them down when one really hits the spot! The beans, I put Cannaloni, spelling might be wrong, but either ither, even chick peas would work, any of the tin bean, peas 🙂 just what I put my hand on.
Well count down for me, this time next week I’ll be heading to Melbourne, so trying to think ahead with catch up, as little will be done after my op. Just booked the boys in for grooming, keeping up with washing/ironing, trying to stop thinking “I’ll do it tomorrow” but one pair of hands and a bad back can only do so much! Right?
FB, where are you, did you go away, can’t remember, Gyps, glad you hung up on the “caller” not interested, so many try to butt in! Fit enjoy each precious moment with the girls 🙂
Oh, next years adventures too, how about cruise around Easter and Sydney Sept-Oct?? Just putting it out there??
Happy day team, stay positive, don’t let numbers on a dial rule your life, you are a better person than that! Be kind to yourself portion control is more important that WHAT you eat 🙂 …talk soon 🙂 xxxxxx

Morning all. So glad you’re back GG, our posts must’ve crossed last night. Did anyone else have an opinion about the poster I rebuffed? hope I wasn’t rude to a genuine ader. but looked like a hitchhiker out to advertise their likn. what do we think about that? invasive? OR A GOOD THING?

Anyway, am hanging out for my travel info to arrive. hoipe I haven’t given you all a fairy tale hyped up by a sales person to get my more active in ‘spending to save’ ! the tourist industry gets pretty flamboyant with off season specials to generate bums on seats (and the thus the party atmosphere,) so we’ll see what transpires. word of warning tho, it is a bit risky here in the north to do sea voyage in the cyclone season, (or the august windies) so it’ll bear some thought. I like October. can’t see it being a fun thing in the cold months. thoughts? Going back to my weeds now. Will check in later. have a nice day, Sun’s out here, lovely 20 degrees. gyps

Hi CG, our posts crossed, yes, agree about the poster. and we are on the same page as usual! thinking gooood thoughts about a cruise around Sydney, anywhere, really, but I have no pass prt as yet, plus limited funds, so the my chances hinge on cheeeep deals(and or course, the Bloke’s health, which seems fine atm) fingers crossed.

No pass port needed Gyps, we are in Aussie waters! Your up early, ready for the garden again aye? I don’t care what we do or where we go, as long as we all meet up. Why not use the cruise idea for yourself and your mate. What a lovely time to remember for you 🙂 xxxxxx
GG and I enjoyed our get together so much decided it should be yearly, then thought the more the merrier and it snowballed. Sydney seemed central in our mis shapened country and the when was up to us all….. We need a round table mate to sort it out 🙂 xxx

CG – The soup recipe looks yummy and filling. Will try it next week 🙂
Also planning on making Doggy’s Shiitake Miso soup recipe on Friday.

Lotus, as I made it up as I went along, as per usual, forgot to say I also added a palmed cup full of mixed herbs, make sence??(small hand full) unsure how to write or measue that, as all good cooks will tell you, a slurp of this a blob of that….. 🙂 xxx

Morning all CG I made a version of your soup yesterday and it’s lovely – ready for lunch today. Wow getting closer to your date too CG….just remember you can’t do everything before your op, don’t wear yourself out getting ready!
As to our get-together I don’t mind what we do but I hope that having 2 possible trips doesn’t mean that some will choose one & others the next one….and that the outcome would be that we don’t all get to meet each other? Know what I mean? That would be a shame. Those of you on the east coast could possibly have a second catch-up so long as you all promised that you’d be there for the main event, so to speak! Just putting it out there.
Have had a better week this week sticking to using MFP and the weight is dropping off I’m happy to see. I really don’t like tracking food all the time but right now it’s helping me to be accountable. Winter is definitely harder for us all. I mean I cooked casserole lamb chops with plum jam last night & they were soo yummy – winter comfort food. But I could have really gone over if I hadn’t been tracking as I looked up taste.com.au for recipes and they varied between 400 and 1,000 calories, would you believe it?! And they didn’t seem to have fancy ingredients in them either. So I turned back to a golden oldie and plugged it into MFP & it came out at 367 cals, much better – just added beans on the side. So it pays to be careful unless you have a real good gut instinct as to what cals are in a dish. Afraid I don’t unless it’s pasta or something dripping in sauce or fat!
Working on processing our olives at present with 5 buckets of them leaching out the bitterness, & have to change the water every day for 2 weeks. Then onto brining & into jars and after that we can marinate them when we need some. Hope it all works? It’s a lotta work altogether.
DiiP your workplace sounds like my previous one. I loved my actual job but the workplace itself was pretty toxic. And you’re so right…it felt like I was back at school for sure!! Not a good environment at all. Was glad when we left town.

Have a good day all and some warm treats to fill you up but don’t let winter take away the portion control you’ve learnt. It’s tempting to when it’s so cold & wintry.
Plan ahead for something yummy & filling to look forward to – that’s the trick I’m trying, but I’m checking out the cals too to be sure. Oh and hot drinks too whenever you get the hungries. suejen XXX

You know use your hand as a cup??

Sj, HOW is the weight dropping off?? Mine is stable..ish…no matter what I do. Not complaining really, as you saw in the pic, I’m passable, but unable to get any movement on the scales. I eat healthy, portion control, (just can’t eat much these days) so the odd frustration moves in. BUT I look at the photo of how I used to be….and just smile 🙂
Full agreement of a full team catch up too, thanks Gyps for throwing a spanner in the works! 🙂
Sj, I don’t have the patience or stamina to do as you with the olives, other fruits/veg yes, but they are a day at most, I just buy my olives in the jar 🙁 I wouldn’t live long enough to use just one crop 🙂
    Happy day again team xxxx

Oh and DiiP, this is a short time in your life and it will pass, the ogres out there don’t last long, It’s mandatory that they exist in every work place I think 🙂 soldier on, keep smiling, they HAVE to be miserable people to be like that, so just show them they don’t effect you, keep smiling do your job as expected, and think of something that makes YOU happy xxxx

Hi team. I’m just dog a bit of speed reading to try and catch up with what’s what. Moongal thanks for the info re sugars etc. I’m always interested in research and different people’s points of view. Fitto I agree with you. Also I would never suggest anyone come off their mediation without discussing it with thier doctor first. A year or so back, many South Africans became firm believers in some new fad diet. I can’t remember the name but it was expensive and in my opinion He was out to make money. He advocated low carb, high protein but also high content animal fats. I was sceptical about this. I since learned that some gullible people went off their medicines and got into trouble health wise. He was admonished by cardiologists for advocating this form of diet.
Gypsy yes I agree that we are a divergent age group here but no one is ageist. I’m very happy in my own skin at this age and have so many years of experience behind me. I’m also far more self confident than I was in my youth. Another really good thing about fasting is it’s positive effect on the brain. Growing new neural pathways etc.
CG did you get that nice rain yesterday? I could hear the water running into our water tanks. What joy.
    XX Doggy

No Doggy, just. A Crow flying over, if you get my gist! They are predicting it today, looks gloomy but wont hold my breath. Gotta share my compliment. Just went to the local I.G.A. For a couple of things, not the larger one in town, saw a lass hadn’t seen for months, got gasps of how fabulous I look, asked how much have I lost since I last saw her, when I said none, she was shocked! Makes you wonder if the body shifts it around into different places! Anyway, was told not to lose any more that I look great as I am, especially in the face, so isn’t it nice to have someone give ad-lib compliments 🙂 and being told not to lose any more! I know in the past I have said that to others who get really skinny when following fad diets, but never thought someone would say it to me 🙂 …..so no more whinging or frustration about stalling But so so so staying with 5:2 quite happily….off to warm some soup xxxxxxx

CG don’t forget the weight that’s coming off is from a 3-day weekend weight. Still not back to my lowest of 70.6. But another FD tomorrow should put me at least back there if not a teensy loss & that’s fine. Not expecting much over winter.
I do eat up to my TDEE and definitely eat my 500 cals or at least 470/480. I firmly believe that otherwise our days all become restrictive and the FD is not as much of a shock to the system if you like so 5:2 may not work as well? The body is always holding onto that weight for grim death. That’s my theory anyway and… using MFP for calorie amnesia is helping (have a bad case of that)! SJ XX
And maybe eventually all the compliments will convince you CG that you’ve arrived…and you’ll perhaps lose a bit more over summer?

Thanks SJ, you’ve put me straight, I guess it’s my nature to be hard on myself. Also living alone, no body but my thoughts to tell me I’m doing/looking great 🙂 What is your TDEE, I rarely make it to mine, which I think IS a mistake, and I COULD have that bikkie and cheese for supper if I want 🙂 or some white sauce on my caulie instead of making myself go without. I do agree with “the winter warmth” even my animals seem to have an extra layer of fat to protect them 🙂 xxxxxx oh, and enjoy your soup xx

I shall CG just about to heat it up yumm. Some crusty bread too just not too much. My TDEE was 1654 this morning & I usually have every single calorie…well almost, and sometimes a smidge over & I don’t worry about it. Yep yesterday before dinner I had 2 jatz crackers, small cheese on each (FF of course!) and some quince paste. Still fitted easily within my TDEE. Enjoy your soup too. XXXX and be kind to yourself leading up to your op. I know you’re very strong (bloody minded as you say) but all of us need to be extra kind to ourselves at times like you’ve got coming up.

Mmmmm quince paste, yum….wow, I never eat that much, so will definitely start using ALL my available cals from my TDEE, it obviously doesn’t hurt you using them all, and in Winter, we sure can use them, 🙂
Another topic team, what is YOUR TDEE and how much of it do you eat?

I usually eat around 1200 so no wonder my 500 cal fast isn’t working as it should 🙁 and I KNOW I couldn’t eat any less and be comfortable on fast days, no matter how I wangle it…..I’m fine up till dinner then, well, that’s nibble hunger time for me 🙂 having dinner starts the hunger dragon saying more! More! More! xxxxx

My TDEE is supposed to be 1654. I don’t eat anywhere close to it most days – usually about 1400 cals. Could be the reason my weight has stalled for the past one month! The thing is, the calorie counter app freaks out if I eat more than what it has allotted me – 1300 cals. so, being the “good” girl that I am , I comply. Funny how I listen to a computer 🙂 I have not listened to my mother so much (when she was alive, bless her).

FD blew out the window today, have had a stomach upset past two days and also just hungrier, so ate about 600 cals so far. I have to check my sugars, as apparently when the insulin resistance becomes better, Metformin will cause tummy upsets (or something like that?) Also Iron supplements, Vit D etc. Past week or so my meds are making me queasy 🙁
Anyway, my glucometer machine is still not fixed, and I keep forgetting to fix it!!
Sorry to be such a gloomy person today folks. Just tired.

Oh!! (brightening up here!!) CG – love the compliment you got! How nice for you 🙂 Its wonderful when we are able to loose weight and still look normal (and not tired/stressed out etc, like in happens in other low-cal diets)
SJ – love your attitude regarding food, its probably why you are successful at this WOL 🙂 Good on ya!

Hi Lotus, iron is sometimes upsetting, even your urine smells of it! But, check with your Dr. No meds should upset you, something is a miss 🙁
I’m finding the TDEE more confusing as we go along. I really think the original “eat normally” the way to go! Obviously not being silly with it, but we know that, but then again, if fish and chips or a dinner out is on the menu THAT is normal isn’t it?
We get so bogged down with blinken numbers when 5:2 is so easy and doable. My personal thinking is winter is normal, healthy warming meals, buggar the TDEE, fast two days a week and forget all about numbers! Xxxxxx

Sounds like a plan CG! I am going to do that too…

We do get so paranoid about numbers Lotus, we have been doing 5:2 long enough to eat normally as our conscious wouldn’t let us be silly, we know if we over eat, our tummy can’t take it, our taste buds don’t like the junk any more and Winter is comfort food, and portion control manages that. Besides its the fast that is our secret weapon isn’t it? Xxxxx

Yes, you are right, but on one hand I have this sneaky hope that being strict (paranoid?) with cals will progress the weight loss journey, so not brave enough yet to let go and give the reins over to my body…

WOW!!!! that was some read….. all the previous posts. LOTUS – a great and very imformative post…p125. Are you a medico?
CG- yes … why do we become paranoid about “numbers” which to this day still continue to concern us? We have come so far in our knowledge regarding food thanks to 5:2 BUT it still affects us.
There are days that I have never reached my TDEE , in fact months ago I gave up worrying about it. For some of us it is week 37 approx … if we eat we eat, if we don’t we don’t. I have days and thank the stars it is on NFD that I go overboard with my LINDT chilli dark chocolate and the ever enjoyable Sav… I know that those 10kgs will never be seen again, because there are those other benefits that my body.. my temple are enjoying.Totally agree that being aware of portions of food is one key element to the success of any WOE. perhaps that why i like my B2B.
    GYPS- this cruise sounds PPPEEERRRFFFEEECCCTTTT!
Have a easy and happy FD tromorrow………GO GALxxxxxxx

GG, so lovely to hear from you my friend, it really is. Yes numbers bug us all. It’s the fast or fasts that’s the secret. Anyway, my Winter promise to myself is no more counting, unless clothes start to feel a bit tight. Stick with fasting and just enjoy this way of life/eating as we should. By the way, just had Orange Roughy, never had it before, I think it’s quite common in N.S.W. Saw it in many cooking shows from there over the years, and it’s pretty hard to sway a Victorian away from flake, but enjoyed it so much, very delicate flavour, I did it in foil with butter and lemon juice, but messaged my daughter to rave about it….she is getting some tomorrow. Oh GG Aldi had Dukkah herbs last week, bought each flavour, and think of our night in Melbourne each time I have it 🙂 xxxxxxx

    Hi All!
Couldn’t help myself and weighed in this morning and yep….I’m 1.5kg up thanks to ball on Sat night, lunch out with sis on Sun, breakfast and dinner out with family on Mon and lunch out again yesterday!!! 😳 Oh and skipped FD, obviously!!! So, FD today instead and will get back to healthy eating again. Not moaning; just showing how fast the weight goes on and how one has to keep a close eye on things and not let them get out of control. My TDEE is 1504 and I struggle to stay under it and also find it hard to stay below 500 on FDs. So, I know this is why I lose very little at a time and have stalled for weeks on end too. However, I know too that this is why I’m still keeping to this wol because I don’t feel deprived overall and am generally only hungry on FDs and even then the hunger is just in the mind…if that makes sense! Sorry for being a windbag!!!!
As for the trip/get-together….I just want to meet as many of you wonderful people as I can in one go because I doubt I will be able to make another one 🙂 Since we are starved of sunshine and good weather here alot of the time, it would be lovely if the weather were pleasant too but I’m happy to fit in with whatever suits the most amount of ADers!
CG – delighted you got renewed faith and heart from the compliments you so well deserve. Trust the opinion of others and lighten up on yourself. Take care before your op and know that all will be well in the end. The priority now is to be in top shape for the 25th so that you will be good and strong for the recovery period.
Gyps – enjoy the weather and your garden. Don’t stress out about the travel offer; make sure it’s not a con. We’ll have our grand reunion whatever happens 🙂
SJ – you are doing so well in this wol, you have it sussed! Well done! 🙂 Sounds like you are doing an amazing job with the olives too, I wouldn’t even know where to begin!
Lotus – you are not gloomy; we all share our ups and downs and get support from each other, that’s what the forum is for and you are brilliant for coming up with articles and information that help others…so please take care of yourself, check your insulin level and be kind to yourself until you feel better. Xx
GG – I am in awe of how easy you find this wol and in particular doing B2B….you’re brilliant!!
I’m off to do lots of housework and keep my mind off food for the rest of the day….best wishes to all (FB, where are you, we miss you)

I spoke to FB during last week….. she was fine…. hoping to hear from her soon as I just sent a text… she is so busy with work and family ……GO GAL

    FB-CALL YOUR MOTHER!!!! LOL xxxxxx

    Good on you. GG
Fit, you HAVE to come, just so want to put my arms around you. 🙂 It’s only fluid your retaining, seems silly but drinks heaps of water, flush it through, but even not, the house work is exercise and soon moves it 🙂 besides, what a wonderful way to gain a tad, it was so worth it. Our fasts do the majic no matter what we eat, I’m sure you wouldn’t go too over board with food though, your tummy couldn’t take it 🙂 Strange how guilt now taps us on the shoulder with things we wouldn’t have thought twice about 12 months ago 🙂
Enjoy your day Fit……., talk to you soon GG xxxxx
By the way if we are planning June (ish) the weather isn’t too bad now so 12 months time?? If you all want it later that’s fine just let us know 🙂

Aw, thanks CG – sitting here now with a black coffee before I begin the clean up and I have a huge smile on my face thanks to your kind comments…looking forward to lots of hugs from all you wonderful people.
GG – thanks for update on FB; so good to know all is ok with her even if life is very busy for her. People keep asking me if I’m still enjoying retirement and what do I do with myself all – implying I might go mad with nothing to do all day…..I think they’re the mad ones!!! 😆 I’m loving life; I read, listen to music, dance, learn french, keep up with housework at my leisure, meet friends for coffee, have fabulous family times and…..plan trips to Oz!!!!! Can’t wait…:) 🙂 🙂

Makes you wonder Fit where you found time to go to work doesn’t it? I’m busier now, in retirement than ever before….but not as organised, I do things at MY leisure, not by the clock 🙂 xxxx

My sister recently retired, I have to now take appointments to meet her- she’s that busy !! 🙂
Enjoy the time ladies, you all fully deserve it 🙂

Aww GG – thanks for compliment mum 😉 but I am not a Medico – total opposite in fact – that article was copied for you all but written by a genuine medico (Dr. Mosely 🙂 )

LOTUS- I will give you the credit anyway for sharing the inspiring post.
FIT- I envey you all for being so wonderfully busy in your retirement. As CG said you can do things at your leisure and not by a clock.Enjoy every bit of it. All of you have worked hard over the years raising children, running homes, and holding jobs.Just sit back and take it all in……LUCKY YOU!
Hay Fit- get your broom and fly over I ‘ve house tasks to do tomorrow … need help
Naughty FB has not texted back as yet.
Awww CG look forward to talking in the next day xxxxx
    ……..GO GALXXXX

GG, I think FB’s sister was arriving so maybe they went away for a few days.. The mystery deepens 🙂 nighty night team xxxx

Morning Team! Happy Fast Day to all fasting 🙂 (not me, I am working on getting my head and heart in the right place today, eat well, and fast joyfully tomorrow)

Good morning team, Lotus we are both up far too early. I’ve started coughing and getting a drippy nose….NO NO NO, I can’t get a cold this close to going to hospital!!! Frightened he wont operate. Damn, blast and buggar! I’m thinking positive and refuse to give into it. Tossing up wether I should fast today, like you Lotus, just eat healthy warm and portion control meals? I can’t remember the last time I HAD a cold. Off all meds as of today as per hospital orders 🙂 so will be limping along unaided.
Good luck with your fast team, nothing new to you now, hang in there, stay warm and watch the fluids.
We are what we think, so think positively you CAN do it, get your head in the right space,….and away we go 🙂 xxxxxxxxx

Oh, CG, that’s a bummer. 🙁 My daughter swears by hot water with lime juice, ginger and cinnamon in it – if you can’t get those ingredients, try getting lots of vitamin C into you. Don’t fast because they always say ‘feed a cold and starve a fever’. All you should concentrate on now is getting better and being ready for your op. Have a duvet day and really listen to your body. I wish I could give you a big hug and spoil you rotten! Xx
Morning, Lotus – hope you get your head in the right place….I fasted today and think I did ok (maybe 480 cals) if MFP is to be believed. This has been one of my better FDs so I hope I get back on track quickly.

    Good morning Gang
My apologies for MIA. Very very busy last few days.
And whoa….. you people turned 2 pages already in few days. So, its gonna take me a very long time to sneak in and read each and every post and catch up with the rhythm.
No CG, my sister is not here yet. Not planned for another 1.5 month atleast.
My Dad had to go to China in an emergency (work related, all good), so it was a nightmare to arrange a Chinese visa for him. Had to do a lot of run around to gather all the docs and had to get the visa in “Rush” service. Still a lot was required. Then arranging for the air tix. Finally he reached there last night, so all’s sorted.
But meanwhile, I missed work for 3 days in a row. This means that I am inundated with work now…Grrrr, it never ends.
Between all this, I fasted Monday and Wednesday. I am in training all day today again, this means more work will pile up. So, this chicka is gonna come to work on Sat and Sun to catch up 🙁

Thanks CG, GG, Fit & Diip to have me in your thoughts. I am feeling the love and warmth already.
And a big hello to everyone else.

Off to training now, MUM (GG), sent you a text, sorry, missed your call.
    Love
    FB
