  • I reached my target weight about a year ago but have continued to do the 5:2 diet, increasing my calories on the days I’m not fasting, and have maintained my weight. However, my question is – is it healthy to have a break for a little while or should I continue on the 5:2?

    Come onto the Maintainers Chatbox thread. Lots of ideas there.
    If you are on this wol for health reasons, I think you need to continue at least 1 fast a week although others do daily longer non eating periods. ..fasting until lunch time or a late lunch every day.
    My OH and I do 2 fasts (have been for 18 mths) as his diabetes stays controlled that way.
