  • Day 30 NYC FD

I was planning on doing my weigh in tomorrow.
Well done to everyone for their great results
I don’t think I will have the same good results but I am still keeping at it. I had a very long plateau and then broke it but just before thanksgiving… so hopefully I at least remained the same as my pre thanksgiving weight and even less. I hope so!
    Thanks to everyone

    Day 30 – Los Angeles – FD
Today went fine. The fast day was a success. Looking forward to tomorrow.
    MB

    Start weight 10 st 11
    End weight 10 st 5
    Total loss 6 pd
Looking forward to December. Nfd for me today

    Day 1 | Derbyshire UK | FD

Am very proud of myself as I have just finished a b2b fast and I’m so inspired by the 3 day fasters on here I’ve decided to do a third today. Let’s start the month on a positive!

I am looking forward to the festive season and will have a house full over Christmas, so my goal for this month is shed 3lbs so I will be at my wedding day weight 6 years ago and I expect having family to stay will make 5:2 difficult but not impossible.

Congratulations to everyone for their achievements this month be they big or small. If you did not loose but did not gain you maintained and that experience will hold you in good stead for when you reach maintenance and need to know what works for you. If you gained don’t loose heart, you know this WOL takes time; overall the trajectory is downwards. Just stick at it and draw from all the fabulous support on this forum. This is a new day, a new month and a new opportunity.

Good luck everyone and lots of festive love xx

    Day 1 – Staffordshire UK – FD – 152.2lb

Started November at 157.8lb with a target of losing 4lb. This morning I weigh 152.2lb. So I’m one very happy lady. Going for maintenance in DecemberπŸŽ„πŸŽ‰

Day 30: Pacific NW USA, liquid only FD ended after 66 hours total. I feel stuffed after eating a bit too much following that long fast – next lesson learned!

My Nov weight change – down 3 lbs.

I weighed the day before Thanksgiving last week and again today one week later. I gained .6 lbs after the Thanksgiving indulgences even with my 66 hour fast just over. That tells me that my body went to fat storage or water retension rather drastically and that not even a 66 hour fast would compensate. Again, another lesson for me about how the only differences in my diet the last week were added sugar and other simple carbs and that they have an immediate impact on my body. The added weight is probably just the tip of the ice berg. Oh my poor body when I used to eat like that every day!

I’m calculating all of your weight changes as you tell me. Tomorrow all the numbers should be in and I will give you our group totals.

Lily inaugurated our Dec spread sheet and the down-unders and UK’ers are already filling up the Day 1 column!

Here’s to the lessons we learned in Nov that we can put to use in Dec!

    Day 1 Sussex U.K.
    NFD.
184 pounds today. 4 pounds up since beginning of month.
Very difficult month personally, where I think I have tried to comfort/block things out with a fog of
    carbs. No planning either.
Have considered leaving the challenge but will hate going backwards.
Will log in daily and try to regain that motivation by re-reading all the inspiration on here.
    Well done everyone.

    Day 1, Gozo, Malta, NFD

What a beautiful day to start December! The sun is shining and it’s not cold like yesterday.

Today I weighted myself and I’m 62.4 kilos. I had another small slice of a mincemeat and cranberry Christmas cake I made on Sunday yesterday. I’m happy with my weight and mean to maintain this coming feastive month. I enjoy the feastive season when I’ll have my family for Christmas lunch NFD go to get together parties. Also I’m looking forward to go to Sicily for a week from 30 December. Yes December is a special month when we revive from the inside to welcome Jesus in out mist and enjoy the celebrations from outside.

Happy first of December everyone. Stay mindful and strong.

Back2thefuture am I posting right on the December challenge or is it elsewhere. I can’t seem to find it. Shall I keep on posting here?

    Day 1 FD UK

Total Nov change down 9lbs. Delighted with that and it is a good improvement in what I managed in October.

Thanks so much B2TF for running the challenge and continuing in December and thanks to everyone for inspiration and accountability through the month.

I would like to end December 4lbs lighter than I am now. Very concerned (bah humbug) about managing that over Christmas. Thank goodness I didn’t have Thanksgiving to negotiate too…

    Have a good day all.

    UK day 1 FD

No matter how many times I got on the scales couldn’t get them below 10st 5lbs which is what I weighed on 1st October so good news and bad news – on the positive it’s still a good stone down on my 1st May weight and I feel so much better and my BMI is 24.9 so officially not overweight .

So realistically I’m aiming for a 1lb loss in this 3 week challenge .Onwards & downwards x

    Day 1 Italy – NFD
I’m not going to weigh myself again today, so will use yesterday’s 74.9kg as my starting weight.
I am setting myself a loose goal of getting under 74kg for this month, it is unrealistic to expect big losses this month. We are going to the U.K. For Christmas, and so much of that time is about food, am really going to try and change that. Not sure what the rest of my family will think to nice walks together instead of bacon butties, or tea and cake!! I’m buying some new games to try and keep the afternoons occupied rather than mindless chocolate-mouth action!
Best of luck everyone, especially Ciren2 (what a month for all you posties!) and Thankyou back2thefuture for keeping an eye on us all

    Day 1, FD, New Zealand
    November start weight 69.9kg
    November end weight 65.6
    Total weight reduction: 4.3kg

Very happy with the scales. Really thought it was going to be much more slow-going, but perhaps it will slow down this month. I’d like to be 63kg by 21 December when I head off for a two-week summer holiday, so I intend to do 4:3 till then. I probably won’t have the chance to log in daily from Dec 21, but I’ll still be thinking of this fantastic support!

    Day 1, London, NFD

The scales this morning: 57.4 kg. Weight lost: 1.2kg. Not a massive amount, but considering the amount of feasting that’s been going on- it’s a result (showing that the effect of the occasional fast, some weeks I only managed one proper fast).

    Lessons learned:
    1. On a fast day, liquids though the day makes it somehow easier than solid food.
    2. If I don’t weight myself for a few days, all caution goes and I put on weight. (So, regular weigh-ins will be a must, for me.)
    3. This will not be a straight linear progress (unfortunately) – not for me anyway- but persistence is what matters more than the occasional slip.
    4. Not eating for a day is not as scary as I’d thought.
    5. Having to account for the day, here- does keep me on the straight and narrow (well, most days anyway). A good thing.

Aim for Dec: ideally, to lose 1 kg. Realistically, maintaining is fine, too. Ultimate aim- to get back to 53-54, which had been my normal weight for many years (ha, so I will be hanging around here for another 4 months, at this rate ;-)).

Well done to everyone for sticking with the November challenge, and good luck through the fasting season πŸ™‚

Good morning or evening UK Day 1 NFD

I am going to break my fast at 10 o’clock with some homemade granola, fresh berries and coconut yogurt.
So I had to look back and see my starting weight for November which was
11st 9 and half lb (163.5lbs)- December’s starting is 11st 8lbs (162) so while I believe I was slightly lower at some point through November I had also gone up to 11st 11lb (165lbs) so am happy with that. I also know I am stronger when I want to be and 3 days fasts are possible – along with my pocket fasters off course.
I have my calendar for December printed with social events and fast days marked on. If anyone want to do same here is a link
    http://www.calendarpedia.co.uk/calendars/calendar-december-2016.html

A big thank you to B2TF for keeping the roll book for November and continuing on into December. This is for you
    https://kenyastockholm.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/flowers.jpg

In it – thank you for the quote – another I have not heard before but very true and I have written it on my calendar.

    Day 1 : Cheshire, UK : NFD

I’m up by 2lbs which means I’m back to where I started. I’m not surprised as I found October difficult but November even more so. Found it difficult not to comfort eat. I’m continuing with the challenge and I will add in more fast days.

I’m pleased I haven’t put on additional lbs to my original starting weight and I’m happy with any loss this month.

@patti67 I totally understand. Don’t lose heart. Along with the support of this group let’s support each other too. I find it difficult to keep up with all the posts but I will look out for yours in particular.

Well Done everyone for your losses this month and your amazing B2B fasts…..very inspiring.

Fresh Start for Everyone whether lost on not πŸ™‚

    2nd post. Day 1. FD ( hopefully)
Up and about but not necessarily conscious! I had a very bad sleep after a late night and early rise.
They say lack of sleep affects weight so it will be interesting to see if 1. I can stay the distance with the FD considering I feel so sluggish and 2. Whether it affects the scale number tomorrow morning ( daily weigher allowing for 1 – 2 kgs difference ). Looks like a lo…………ng day ahead.

Pattie67 and Golden Sun the golden rule is just keep on keeping on – they say adversity is a true teacher – it is only through adversity you get stronger. Golden Sun even if you don’t read all the posts you may read some and if you are still here – then that is an achievement in it’s self. When I put my first post on July 2015 did I think I would still be here over a year later – no but this is now a way of life for me and WHEN I get to my goal I think I will still be here helping me to maintain and supporting others in their journey. Pattie everyone has difficult times, difficult moments in their personal life – you just have to ride them out, cus what is the alternative, keep the faith – use the link I gave for a December calendar and maybe that will help a bit with planning. You are stronger than you think but pair up support each other and together you are even stronger. Hugs to all x

Day 1, Pune, India – NFD

Congratulations to everyone who stuck with the November challenge,Best of luck everyone who are starting the December one!

    Day 1 – London,UK – NFD

    Official stats for November:

    Start weight: 146.5lbs (66.6kg)
    End weight: 138.5lbs (62.9kg)
    Total loss: 8lbs (3.7kg)

    Goal weight: 132lbs (60kg)
    Bal to lose: 6.5lbs (2.9kg)

I am very happy with the stats and hope to shed a little weight in the early weeks of December with some well planned FDs, I have followed Coda’s lead and filled in my calendar for December, so feeling positive. However my main objective is NOT to gain any weight so any loss will be a huge bonus!

I tend to find January more challenging than December, living on this side of the world, as generally cold, dark and a little depressing! Hopefully a good December will help that too.

@In it to thin it – loved the Arnold Glasgow quote and, again following Coda’s lead, have written it on my calendar for inspiration.

Having really injured my left shoulder I am a bit ‘laid up’ at home with a strict regime of icing every hour for 15 mins. However it is a lovely crisp winter’s day out there so i will endeavour to venture out for a walk this afternoon to ensure i at least get in my min 10,000 steps.

Good luck to everyone continuing in to December, on the forum, and to those of you taking a break from it have a wonderful festive season!!

    Day 1, Ireland, NFD

I am not going to weight myself until Dec 15’th-really hoping to be 75kg as was down from 81-78 in November challenge. I’ve started to use My Fitness Pal on NFD also and started weighing my food-I really think portion control has been my major downfall. It’s amazing what an ACTUAL portion of cereal really equates to!!! My goal is 64kg. I changed from weighing in stones and/or pounds as numerically I have less kilos to lose so it is psychologically easier 😁

@coda : Thank you so much for your support. You are a very special lady! Hugs back x

    Day 1…. Florida…..NFD

@Patty67…… hang on my love….. I know the ride gets little bumpy at times but don’t let go. There have been times when, I too felt like just letting go and stay in the prone position, face down on the ground, it’s hard, I know but trying is the key to any great success. Just remember the numbers on the scale are not the only ways to measure success with 5:2, I mean just look at the amazing support team, you have here! Although, were not standing right next to you, we all are your biggest fans and we are cheering the loudest from the stands! Listen….. Can you here us? Patty, Patty, Patty, Patty…..
something that works for me when I’m in a funk that might help….. just before I reach for food, I tell my self before you can eat… you must drink 4 oz of water. Sometimes, it curbs the want but sometimes it just help me not to eat so much….

When I wrote Day 1 today, I got such an odd feeling. That feeling when you begin something new, that excited but scared feeling. Wow! It’s like starting anew while retain all my previous efforts.

Well, the holidays have really began around here, I sure in the up and coming weeks there will be more and more temptations around every corner. So, I revised my game plan to hopefully help.

    1…… to lose 5lbs
    2…… drink more water
3…… to walk at least 30 min 3 days a week.
4…… continue fasting on M, W, F without changing to suit a party or get together
5…… fit into more clothes that I tucked away

I ended Nov. challenge successful with 9lbs, a better understand of 5:2, the difference between really hunger and false feelings, and a fantastic support group.
I’ll start the Dec. challenge at 155.6lbs.

    Good Luck everyone!

    Day 1 – Cumbria UK – NFD

    Weight on 30/10 = 59.5kg (131.2lbs)
    Weight this morning after completing the 3 x B2B FDs (88 hrs) = 55.3kg (121.9lbs)
    Total lost = 4.2kg (9.2lbs)

So pleased with that I am only 0.3kg off my target weight – aim for December is to lose that final 0.3kg and maintain.

Did my usual Thursday morning aerobic class then broke my fast with a lovely extra strong latte (semi skimmed milk) and a slice of apple and almond cake at my favourite cafe with the OH – feeling very satisfied so will not probably eat until evening meal.

As @bert1802 says – I also ended the Nov. challenge with
    – 9.2lbs loss
    – a better understanding of 5:2 and learnt about the various ways of fasting
    – the difference between real hunger and false feelings – the importance of drinking plenty of water
    – a fantastic support group that helped me off the plateau I had been stuck on for 3months or so

Could not have done this without the support of this amazing group – THANK YOU ALL
Congratulations to those that achieved their aims and YOU CAN DO THIS to others who may have struggled a bit

Good luck for December to everyone

Day 1 Surrey UK NFD New beginning, renewed hope, interesting month ahead! B2tF thanks for monitoring us again…yesterday morning weighed in at 95.2 kgs and this morning weighed in at 96 kgs. How is that possible? Anyway, I don’t believe the scales that much any longer!
Let’s see what the month brings, may we all go well!

US SC Day 1 FD. Well, as expected November wasn’t a great month for me. I posted a .5 lb increase so it could have been worse.

My plan is to start afresh today with a positive attitude and a FD after dropping my FD yesterday. We had a tornado go through our town yesterday evening. We were huddled in the laundry room with the dog. Thankfully it spared us but only by about 500 yards… tornados are so precise in their path and not very common here where I live. Crews are waiting for daylight to start cleanup and hopefully power will be restored soon.

Much congrats to all of you who succeeded in your goal for the month. For those, like me who didn’t… let’s make December count!

    Day 1– Colorado, USA– FD

Thank you, B2tF, for managing November & keeping us going thru December.
Coda, I liked the beautiful flowers you “sent” her. Lovely gesture!

    Dec. start weight = 145.8 (66.2 kg)
    Dec. goal weight = 142 (64.5 kg)
    Ultimate goal wt. = 136- 138 (61.8- 62.7 kg)

    Goals for December:
1– Hopeful loss of 3.8 lbs. (1.7 kg.) That is my “stretch goal” as historically for me losing weight over the Holidays has been impossible. But with 5:2 or 4:3 & my Fellow Fasters’ names in my pocket I believe this year I can do even better than maintain!

2– Lift weights 3 times/ week. Begin Cardio workouts when Doctor medically releases me to do so after surgery. Getting antsy to get moving again!!

3– Make my 2 Fast Days each week Liquid Fasts. Usually I do eat the 500 calories allowed, but for December I want to try sticking to plain coffee, tea & bone broth on FDs.

Oh sorry, one more December Goal

4– Use my Lose It app on every NFD. No guessing if I’m within TDEE or not. Better to know.
It’s just one month & charting carefully may teach me some important lessons too!

    Day 1 – Canada – FD

    Starting weight: 142 lb.
Goal for December: – 3 lb.

Leaving today for a weekend away. Will be challenging food wise but will keep reading the posts for inspiration.

    Day 1 Brisbane, Australia NFD

Starting weight for Dec 74.6 kg – hoping to lose about 2 kgs this month which I think will be a challenge. Ultimate weight is to get below 68 kgs so I am back in a healthy BMI range.

Things I want to improve in Dec – not overeating on NFDs & counting calories. It is so easy to overdo it on a NFD & under estimate the calories.

I also want to be brave enough to attempt a b2b this month.

Day 1 USA (Utah, visiting) NFD

Still on maintenance, and doing well. Since daughter here does not own a scale, I will weigh at the gym later on today. I have been able to be on TDEE the past couple days, so I am not worried about what the scale says.

Had a wonderful massage yesterday. I do enjoy pampering my newly more slender body. I wondered if the masseuse could tell how loose my skin feels, but she said she as only feeling for the muscles. My skin feels loose to me, but that goes with the loss of nearly 30 pounds at 68 years old.

Well Rounded – loved your realization that going without food for a day isn’t as scary as you thought it would be. I remember so well starting 5:2 last March and fearing the same thing. Reading the book did convince me I could do this, and happily I have.

Coda – you are such an inspiration to so many here! Thank you for your dedication to this board and all of us. You and I are close to the same weight. I have seen 158.8 on the scale once in the past month but realistically I like being at 160. My body seems to have adjusted to that weight, and I know my wardrobe has with new purchases!

Here’s to a successful December for all! Onward and downward!

    Day1 Portugal NFD
    Start of 5:2 on 24th September: 70.8kg
    December start weight 64.4kg
Ideal Goal for December 63kg but not sure how realistic that is…I guess I would be happy if I manage to maintain current weight through this holiday month.
    Goal weight 58kg

I can hardly believe I have lost over 6kg in a relatively short time. I hope the other 6kg come off in the same way! Thanks to everyone for their support.

    Day 1,NFD,Canada

Reporting in with 8 lbs of blubber gone since start Nov 1st -yay!

Things I have learned this month.
    – don’t keep tempting snacks in the house – ever
    – weigh infrequently, rely more on how clothes fit. If numbers are up/down on scale I can use that to justify eating. Either telling myself I deserve a treat after a good weigh in or after a bad weigh in that it’s not working and I might just as well have a comfort treat.
    – a cup of hot tea or broth can quell hunger for hours, who knew?

What I most admire about you all is the collective perseverance and determination to improve our health. I take strength daily from your posts as they often mirror my own struggles. Congratulations to all who report regularly, we will all succeed if we carry on.

My goals for December 5lbs to lose, wt today 155lbs. Report in every day. Track calories on NFD. Do at least 1 B2B fast.

Day 1: Gloucestershire UK: Yet another non-fast day!
I’m actually afraid to weigh myself right now….no fast days for over a week, not how it was intended. Just lack motivation.
Patti67: I’m also looking out for your posts…hang on with us…I also get the feeling that I should, maybe, leave because I’m not “good enough” BUT together, we can fight this, until the motivation comes back. I struggle in the dark days of winter.
Anna6: I’m sure you’ve guessed by now; You ARE in the right forum!
HollyLJ: Thanks for thinking of me struggling with the Christmas post. Roll on January!!

Hi Ciren2 aka one of the pocket fasters – don’t stress about it – as in a name on this thread and……….exhale lol. So why not weigh – note and it may not be as bad as you think. You are in an enviable position – you have reached goal – ok so it may be up and down a little but how many of us would love to be where you are. You have done it got the tee shirt and now you are learning how to maintain. Don’t stress about a few lbs and don’t worry your fasting mojo will return.

    NYC, Day 1…NFD.

    Today … 121.3 lbs (BMI 22.9)
    Month end goal. 120.0 lbs
    ENd goal … 117-118 lbs

During a massage last night, the therapist commented that my fascia feel dehydrated. I making an effort to drink more water/seltzer today….and tomorrow…etc. Tracking miles walked to the ladies’ loo.

Office holiday party tonight. Saving my NFD calories.

    2nd post

For those who struggled in November -please don’t lose heart – I learnt that in the November challenge – having been static for 3/4 months and thinking I would never shift that last bit of weight – it can be done I learnt that from all of you on this forum. December is a new month and a new start.

I found that moving from my normal 5:2 x 500cal days and switching things around worked for me and as someone else said don’t have anything in the house that you know can be your downfall.
I also learnt that if I feel hungry then I have a mug of hot water with/without lemon often took away that hunger feeling.
I also learnt that distraction therapy is a great idea to take your mind off food – reading the posts on here – doing a pedicure on myself – a lovely scented hot bath listening to some relaxing music – doing a short relaxing yoga practice or some yoga breathing exercise.

I learnt all of the above by reading your posts and finding out what works for me – having your support kept me going and your various words of advice were invaluable – Please don’t give up – YOU ARE TOO IMPORTANT AS A PERSON – YOU LOVE AND YOU ARE LOVED

    December Day 1|FD|Toronto

    Georgia/USA/Day 1/FD:

    Starting weight 195 lbs

    Goal: 190 lbs

    Second past

Songbirdme and coda, would you mind telling me how tall you are? I have set 160 as my target weight with a height of almost 5ft 9ins. That isn’t very low in terms of bmi but I have a reasonably large frame I think quite broad shoulders etc and I think that would be low enough to feel really slim. I want something that I can maintain. Forever. I thought i’d ask now as songbird is where I think I need to be, even though I am quite a way of yet at 188, down from 207 in early Sept.

Ciren, I second what Coda has said I would love to be at target and learning how to maintain up and down a little bit. Someday…..

    November results.

    Starting weight 81.2kg
    Final weight 77kg

    Weight lost :4.2kg.

    Day 1 WA USA NFD

So good to read people’s results and journey. It’s such a plus to be part of this virtual group.

I did make it through the 3 days of B2B FDs. Someone asked when we started – about 8:30 PM on Sunday through to Thursday morning about 8:30 AM. I think that’s 84 hours if I did the Math right. I had never done any back to back fasting on the 5:2 before.

    Results:
Nov. began at 221.6 lbs and finished at 214.2 for a 7.4 lb. loss.
Since Sept.26, when I weighed in at 235 lbs. a total of 20.8 lbs loss.

Because I lost so much in October, I put 10 lbs as a wt loss goal for Novemer. Someone in this forum mentioned that 1-2 lbs a week was normal on the 5:2. That was helpful for helping me get realistic expectaions. So to get a 7.4 lb loss was great!

For December, my goal is to maintain at the minimum but hopefully lose 2 or 3 lbs. I’ll be traveling and being with other people much of the latter part of the month. I’m glad the 5:2 is so flexible so will still plan to eat mindfully, keeping my food diary, and working in fast days in a flexible fashion.

Wishing a great month for all you fellow sojourners!

@sarah57 I am 5ft.5 and 1/2. My ultimate goal is 138lbs (9st 12lbs) as i was once 133lbs 9st.7 lbs until children came along. however that is not to say when I get to 140lbs I might be happy with that. I think it is a mental thing I want to be 9st something. I know of other women you would be nearly a stone heavier than my goal yet look fantastic. Also if you are toned you may weigh heavier but take up less room.

    Thanks Coda

I am not toned I’m afraid…new years resolution…my weight is all in the middle, slim arms and legs and not slim other bits! But slimmer than they were!

    Day 1 | NFD | Bucks UK

Total November loss – 7lbs 😊 super happy with those figures and have this team to thank for the continued encouragement by everyone, for everyone.

    This month’s aims are:
to not lose my mind over Christmas and be back where I started,
highlight my planned FD/NFDs for this month on my phone calendar
Days I don’t walk to and from work, I need get moving, either following youtube exercise or pilates dvd etc..

HA!… just envisioned my caribbean mother’s face if I told her I’m not eating on Christmas day or couple days later on her birthday πŸ˜‚

Wishing everyone good luck for December.
    Nuff love Xx

Day 1: Pacific NW USA, NFD

Welcome everyone to a brand new start, a new spread sheet by your’s truly and new potential for us all! Manura – you posted like a pro and you too Laura5’s. I know the accountability provided by a daily check-in on this forum keeps us mindful, even with a slip here or there, to keep on keeping on. I encourage us all to try even a quick, short, daily post during the hectic days of December. I know for myself it would be so easy to let what I have to “do” become the priority instead of taking care of myself!

I’m still feeling “full” this morning after last night’s restaurant dinner. Also a little bloated (TMI?) I did 35 minutes of HIIT on my bike this morning and am drinking lots of water. I wil have chicken soup for lunch and a bay shrimp salad for dinner. Tomorrow is a usual FD for me and I am going to thaw some of my bone broth and do a modest 36 hours liquid only fast.

My goals for Dec: Find where the next 5 lbs are hiding and chase them out of my body with 4:3 liquid fasts, cardio HIIT 3 times a week, not snacking after 8:00 PM on NFD’s but if I can’t find the brakes at least try to make it veg only after 8:00, having the biggest meal of the weekends and vacation days between 12:00 and 3:00 and a lighter meal in the evening, keep trying to have better sleep, experiment with making a FD/NFD chart with the amount of water I drink (instead of just thinking I drank enough), quick description of food and time I ate and adding hunger level, energy and feelings/mood.

Coda – thanks for the flowers! And thanks back at all of you who thanked me for monitoring our challenge. Part of being “room monitor” is reading all posts every day and that has been to my benefit! I feel very connected to you all and when you miss even one day I always check back to your replies to see if I missed noting a planned absence and if blanks behind your name keep adding up I just hope everything is OK.

Alanix – get that shoulder better and Debbie – so glad we didn’t see your house in smitherines on the news but thoughts go out to those we did.

    Days 1 & 2 / Tweed Coast Australia / NFD

Sorry again for the late post for yesterday (it’s already Day 2 here in Australia). I’d thought I was finished with writing assignments but realized that a last one due really needed a re-write, so yesterday and last night, everything else went by the wayside including answering the phone.

Admittedly I’m 1.3 kg above goal weight envelope due to all the end of term writing assignment anxiety and the emotional eating that went with it. Sometimes I just couldn’t get myself to think and put words on paper unless munching on something. Thankfully all my ‘somethings’ were healthy (macadamia nuts, coconut products, cashews, and I guess my most indulgent; no-added sugar carob confectionery treats of various sorts. I accept the weight gain and take it as ‘could have been so much worse’ had I not practiced 5:2 up until the last couple weeks. The term ends today. Yay! Anyway, I am back on track as of yesterday and I’ve planned my next FD for tomorrow.

    Day 2 – Melbourne – NFD
@patti67 Hang in there! Just staying in the forum and firmly believing in 5:2 as a WOL is an achievement. We all lose our ‘losing mojo’ from time to time: mine’s been awol for 3 years and now I have found this forum and it’s been dragged back, dusted off and polished up. Hope it stays present and shiny for awhile, but I Know that belonging to this group gives it unprecedented staying power. Yours will rise up again and overcome – when the time is right for you.

Australia Day 2 NFD – back2thefuture – thank you so much for managing November. I am so sorry I could not give it the effort it deserved but life takes over πŸ™‚ I do want to do the December challenge but cannot find it in the list of Active forums – can you please provide a link or are we just going to keep posting on this forum? Happy holiday countdown all! πŸ™‚
