  • Hello everyone, this is my first time trying any sort of “fasting” and I’m hoping it goes well! I’m going to give my all to 5:2, seems like it’s a very doable lifestyle and I’m willing to give it a shot!
    A little info: I’m 38, live in Michigan, I have 3 kids and a supportive husband. I work full time+ some (a lot of overtime this year!!)
    Over the years I’ve gained about 40 pounds and some major stress (house fire and rebuilding) I’ve gained an additional 5 or so. Time to get back to basics and make a change! I saw the BBC program a couple years ago and it always stuck with me in my mind, then yesterday at a yearly doctor’s appointment I mentioned the plan (after she mentioned my weight had bumped up a few too many) and my doctor was all for it.
    I did some research, found this place and…TADAH!
    My fast days are going to be Tuesday and Thursday, at least for now. Eventually I may try a 4:3 rotation to shake things up a bit!
