My husband is type 2 however insulin dependent. His HBA1C have gone down from 74 to 52 as a result of 5:2 IF and the insulin. However his GP is now concerned that the IF could trigger a hypo and is suggesting that he stops following the 5:2 diet. We were just wondering however if any other similar diabetic dieters have actually had a hypo on this plan ? My husband wants to carry on with the 5:2 as he’s losing weight but obviously is now concerned due to his GP’s now lack of confidence. Any thoughts ? Anyone had a hypo please ? Thank you
