Soy milk v. dairy?

  • I’m confused about the best kind of milk to use, both for diet and health generally, any help out there? I’ve had ovarian and breast cancer and know of Prof Plant’s book banning all dairy; my husband has had prostate cancer so for some years we have been replacing semi-skimmed milk with soy. We have just started the Fast diet and think it is fantastic, so flexible, and easy to miss out lunch without feeling that life is all denial.
    But it would be good to hear the latest findings about soy, as every article I read seems to say something different. We would be interested to hear what Michael Mosley has to say about it.

    I don’t think this plan specifies what to eat — especially down to the detail of the type of milk to drink. Other plans have more rules, but not this one.

    That being said, I drink unsweetened Almond Milk. It has fewer calories than regular milk.
