  • I am quite petite and would be interested in hearing from anyone regarding the 500 calorie aspect on fast days. It has been suggested to me w/previous weight loss plans that, because of my height, I needed to adhere to a lower calorie standard? Thoughts on this? Shaving much more off of 500 calories is not an attractive thought & I have lost a few pounds in the first 2 weeks, but I also want to maximize my results….

Keep going with 500, if eating less becomes appealing, you can do it then. The most important thing now is to keep 5:2 being sustainable.

What I was hoping to hear 😉

Yay! All power to you! 😊

I have lowered (or am attempting to) my tdee and fast day calorie count because of my petiteness (is that a word?). but I like the idea of keeping it sustainable Cinque. The problem was/is that I was plateaued. I since have been weighing myself several times a week and then averaging them to judge whether I’ve lost. I thought I hadn’t been losing but last week, using my new calculation method, I did lose .4 of a pound. It’s just slow an I have been starving myself on fast days and been really crabby. Boo. I have not been too strict with myself on non fast days. I’m going to go ahead back to the 500 on fast days and see if I can maybe just go more hours without eating. I just read The Obesity Code and my sense is that the longer you fast for, the more weight you will lose. That calories are less important than fasting time. Not sure I’m all in with that.
