  • My myfitnesspal apps says I am eating 102 carbs on normal day today menu lunch minestronie soup and pasta is this bad. ..? Do I need to reduce i to loose weight. Too much vegetable in my diet.

Any help I am new to this diet thank you

If you are using Myfitnesspal you should be able to scan in the foods you are eating to understand how many carbs you are consuming. The caloric target the app gives you is the amount of calories you can eat and lose weight- not how many to maintain your current weight. I personally try to stay 200-300 calories under the MyFitnesspal suggestions and have had great success.
Now in terms of carbs- that is an entirly different conversation. I am on an ultra low-carb ketonic diet (less than 25 total carbs per day) and absolutely love the results and how I feel. If you are insulin resistant (BTW- if you are overweight you probobly are!) then lowering your carb intake will do nothing but help you shed pounds.

I do the Keto diet along with 2 non-consecutive days of fasting per week. This video introduces you to low carb and how to change your eating habits. This is all backed up by hard science.

Carbohydrates are the body’s main source of energy. In their absence, your body will use protein and fat for energy. Try to limit the amount of sugary foods you eat and instead include healthier sources of carbohydrate in your diet such as wholegrains, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, legumes and lower fat dairy products
