Having started IF again has made me realise how I’ve put my weight on. I cooked my son’s dinner and resisted the overwhelming temptation to eat the crisp, succulent skin on his chicken thighs, finish off his potatoes and veg too. I also resisted ‘helping’ him with his maltesers (Thursday treat).
I’m enjoying the feeling of my body repairing itself and scooping out the fat I have gathering around my middle and disposing of it.
The feeling of achievement and success I have when I wake up the next day is what motivates me to carry on….that and the fact that I’m nearly a stone heavier than I was when I was 38 weeks pregnant. I have to laugh at that otherwise I could weep!
My advice to anyone doing this….drink lots of sparkling water, eat really slowly and focus on what you’re eating. Don’t think of the weight you’ll lose, think of the health benefits.
I have a pair of jeans I used to be able to wear and pull down without undoing them. Now….well…..now I’m lucky if they get passed my knees.
