  • I am 58, post-menopausal, and also dealing with Fibromyalgia, or something. All I know is, I was pretty slim, and I just started inflating. I used to be very active, but I’ve been busy, and the Fibro makes it hard to just get out of bed some days.
I need to lose about 20 pounds, and lower my slightly high BP, and also improve my cholesterol.

So, any tips or encouragement will be welcomed. I will read through all the posts, but my one question is- DOES IT MATTER what time you eat breakfast & dinner, or is the goal just to have 7-8 hours fasting in between?
    Thanks so much. A

    Hi Avalanche and welcome:

It does not matter what time you eat breakfast and dinner. 5:2 is calorie based, so the key is to eat 500 or fewer calories on your two diet days.

Here are some tips that might help: http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!

Thanks! Will read that post. I have the book, too.
