  • Hi All
My name is Moira. I am a 63yo female from Western Australia. Today was my first fast day and . . . .guess what? I survived! LOL
I had a 140cal breakfast at 8.30am and nothing until 7pm. Finished the day at 445 calories. I am doing this to try and lose some weight but I am also trying to ward off Type 2 diabetes. Every 6 months when my doctor does routine blood tests, she tells me that I am borderline. I don’t want to be a type 2 diabetic!
I have read the book (surprisingly easy to read) and was particularly interested in insulin resistance. Hopefully this way of eating will have some effect of my fasting blood sugar levels.
I like the fact that this isn’t too restrictive, I figure it is only one day, I can manage that!
OK that my lot! off to check out the Facebook page. Nice to “meet” you all

    Hi Moirai

Welcome to the 5:2 way of life = WOL. There is also a Southern Hemisphere thread that you may like to sign up to.

    Cheers, Bay 🙂
