How to fast

  • Starting fast tomorrow , is it better to eat three meals equalling 500 calories or one meal . I’m very excited about starting the 5:2 and I want to give myself the best possible chance of success

    I’m new to all of this my first fast day was today and I found it quite easy I had two meals lunch then dinner but I’m not sure what the best way is hopefully someone will keep us right x

    I think everyone does their fast day to best suit their needs. I know many
    people fast all day until dinner. Some eat a light breakfast and then a light dinner. I personally, eat a protein bar (180 cal) for lunch, then a 300 calorie frozen dinner around 6:00. I drink coffee, green tea and sparking water through my day. I don’t like cooking on fast days, so I keep it simple. I haven’t changed this pattern since I started in October.

    It is seeing what suits you whilst on fasting days. For myself I have to eat some breakfast, lunch and dinner. This way I am not feeling the shock of no food through the day. Starting of was hard. But now I have found what works for myself.
