Am i right in thinking the ‘non-fasting’ days , i use my fitness pal app and i stick to the calories it recommends for the weight i am at this time.?
I’m a little confused and just want to get it right on the days I’m not eating 500 cal’s
The way it works is on non diet days you eat your TDEE or less.
I have no idea what your ‘app’ will tell you. I suggest you also compute your TDEE using the calculator above (‘How It Works’) and use the lower of the two numbers – the above number or your app number. TDEEs are estimates, not precise, so using the lower number will give you a better chance of losing weight. Some people compute their TDEE for their goal weight and use that number. The thinking is that they will have to eat to that TDEE to maintain their weight when they get there, and eating to it now will get them used to the calorie restriction they will face when they want to maintain their new, lower, weight.
