  • HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL,🎸🎉🎈🎈🎈🎉🎊🎊🎊
Sorry I am a bit late but had visitors staying! Took me till today to get over the champagne hangover (don’t usually drink the stuff!!)🍾🍾🍾

Looking forward to getting all my excess weight off for good in 2016 – never known me be so determined! Hemmy, the thought of 91/2 stone is like a dream to me but you make it a realistic dream, bless you and well done!

Sounds like everyone has been having a rare old time finishing off the leftover choccy – have had a few but nothing too wild as I didn’t buy any and asked people not to give them! Once they are in the house they just keep grinning at me! Fast again for me on Monday and then on Weds and looking forward to the fitness classes starting again.

Trying to keep the fats to a minimum on NFD to try not to eat above my TDEE on those days but I am sure the odd ‘blow out’ day will come along.

Lovely to have the house to ourselves tonight with some P and Q!! Think I am getting old!

Onwards and strongwards together yeah! 🎺🎺🎺

    Newbsx

    Evening everyone 🙂

Hope all are doing fine and looking forward to getting back on track next week! It will be good to get back to normal! I still have some food lying around but I think I’ll bin it as I don’t really want to eat it (cranberry sauce..too sweet and sickly tasting for me now..and mini mince pies..disappointingly hard pastry) It goes against the grain to chuck it but I’d rather that than have it on my hips!

Celtic..hope Stu is much improved x

Audrey and Ginette..hope you’re both feeling much better x hope your mum is doing well Audrey x

Summer..welcome to the forum 🙂 you have done brilliantly so far so hope you get the support you need on here to help you to your goal x

New targets for us all for 2016 and lots of support on the forum to keep us focused 🙂

Hemmy Milena Symba Newby..hope all are fine x sorry if I’ve missed anyone x and hope those who’ve been out of touch are doing OK

Have a good day tomorrow all 🙂 hope the weather improves..a break from rain would be good!!

    Take care

    Hi Dear friends. x

Well, what some awful weather although not devastating like some parts of the country. Hope you are all dry.

Wishing all our group and theirs with illness a speedy recovery this New Year.

Thats it then … lol .. another Xmas done and dusted. Away we go then.

Back to norm after a long holiday … back to alarm for 6 am tomoz… London train 7.10am from local town. ( My Kristy).

In a way I am looking forward to the norm. Have had a good holiday but today started to feel yucky. Probably cramming in the wine etc… for the last few days. lol

Right fresh new year fresh new start for us all tomorrow. Whos up for a fast I know some have braved it over the holiday and good for you. Xx

On the scales first thing … will report in… hopefully no real damage a few FDs cant change.

Take care everyone… We can do this … See you all tomoz. Xx

Good morning friends hope all is well with you and yours. x

Well, the bad news is I have put on 4lbs… 2 bags of sugar. The good news … we know it will soon come off again.

So feeling very yucky this morning …. Why do we do this to our selves I wonder.

So onward and downward Brits… we can do this. We know we can. Xx

Hope everyone in our little gang is up for the challenge to get ourselves feeling and looking the very best we can.

Lots of lemon water today … good for the liver and skin. Going till 2pm then all milk coffee . Omelette salad later an d abit of fruit when flagging.

Right off we jolly well go… have a good day Brit lovelies. Ginette… Audrey..Milena …Celtic … Karen…Newbs… Sym …Summer and anyone else looking in.

When you get to the end of the rope…just tie a knot in it and hang on tightly. Xx

Hemmy..ouch!! But as you say it will come off again..we know the routine!

As of last Fri I was + 1.4 kg (3lbs) but since then I’ve been eating lots of maltesers to get rid of them! Yes..why oh why?!! Anyway that’s done so today is a FD and as you say Hemmy..off we jolly well go!!

    Back in the saddle everyone:-)

Have a good day all x

    Morning all,

My weight has slowly been creeping up over the past few weeks. I’m now 12lb over my lowest of last year…..absolutely ridiculous. ….

I am still recovering from my chest infection but once I am fit I am hitting the 5 2 way of life hard…..

    I am back on board….

    Audrey

    Hi Karen and Audrey. x

Yes, girls we can do this … its such a relief after all these years knowing what we have to do and it works.

Karen .. it is so silly as I reckon most of that 4lbs went on over the last week-end. Almost silly eating again. Last night just kept eating salted nuts even though I was full. Oh well live and learn. Good all your stuff has gone now. Xx

Audrey.. dont beat yourself up. You are such a good role model with great determanation even when you have been up against it with the worry of your Mum. Hope she is feeling better now and healing.

Get rid of that infection first as it will just linger at this time with all the damp. Then back to it. Take care. Xx

Made my list for the coming week will keep active. Drank 3 big glasses of lemon water already. ( my liver will need it). lol

Keep up the good work Together we are stronger. Xx

    Hi All,

Yes why oh why do we do it and most of the time we don’t even want it….if it’s not in the house it’s so much easier. It’s when family visit and the chocolate cake has to be made or the packet of biscuits are opened then they leave you to finish it off. Last time I sent them home with the cake!

If you don’t have biscuits in they buy them on the way..so you can’t win!

Fast day for us today, hubby struggling a bit to get back on board although he says that’s he is now.

Dentist for me today..is it filled or extracted! I have been nursing this tooth for 5 years..I think 3/4 has fallen off all filling..I haven’t had a tooth out for 60 years and I am a be scared!!! 😁 I only pinched one of hubbys toffees…my favourite..or was!

Good luck to everybody…All on board..We will be thin again..All pulling together

Hoping all are a lot better

    Jean x

    Hi Sym

Oh good luck with that tooth and hope all goes well. x

Yes, I agree if its in the house its fatal. I rarely have any children visiting so no real excuse here. Just buy stuff in case. Lol

A good day so far … looking forward to milk coffee at 2pm … not long now. Feel better already for all the water. Very slugish with the walk this morning. Hopefully soon flitting around again soon.

Hope hubby gets through the day okay … tell him we are all on his side. Lol on second thoughts that might put him off … aload of women. Xx

    Hi All

I am certainly feeling a bit better than I was, thank you all for the get well wishes. I am coughing much less as well so doctor won’t be seeing me, they have so many people in there that they really don’t need another.

Well the last time I weighed was the 29th November and that was a few weeks ago about 5, I think. I was still doing 3 fast days a week at that point. Only over the Christmas did I only do three. I was definetly eating to excess on the other days. The result is a gain on 10lbs!!

The soupmaker had already come out last week and I have just had butternut squash soup for lunch. This is an Asda prepared veg soup. It just had stock added to it. 21 mins later delicious soup!!

I have just got some parsnips that were reduced so I think I shall be having those in my next soup. Anybody know any really simple parsnip soup, not too spicy as I am giving some to Pam.

Still a few left overs which will last me the week. I never really start in earnest until the second week in January but three fast days this week for sure!!

    Hi Newby

Like you u am going to keep non fast days in check. I know that Pam gets fed up with that and the problem is she doesn’t eat herself when I am fasting, she really needs to put on a few pounds. I need to find a happy medium on no fast days as Pam will make pie and chips and things like that!!

    Hi Karen

Like you it gos against the grain throwing things away. I didn’t buy mince pies so luckily I don’t have that problem. I have some of Pams homemade cake to finish which I rarely eat. I only have two pieces so not too bad. I could never throw chocolates in the bin but not many left and they will be rationed. Not too much to lose so it shouldn’t be a problem.

    Hi Hemmy

I take it you are fasting today. Are you on two or three days this week? The weather here is a little cooler and a lot of rain, I’m not complaining though when so many people have had it so bad. 4lbs isn’t at all bad. That will soon come off.

    Hi Audrey

You sound on the mend as well. Ah….you and me both a lot up on last year. The end of my year is next week so let’s see then. Who know I may have lost some with food in transit. You may also have this problem. Let’s hope we soon lose this. It’s a lot to lose again isn’t it? X

    Hi Jean

It will be much better that you think. My neighbour was terrified to go to the dentist and hadn’t been in years. I found one that was reccomended for nervous people, when he came out after a few extractions he said had he known that was all it was he would have had them taken out years ago. My thoughts are with you though as you are obviously worried. I too love toffee and had sone liquorice and treacle slabs of it before Christmas.

Hi Celtic how are you both doing. Have they adjusted Meds?

Good luck all. We can do it xx

I have been a brave bunny, tooth extracted and it was difficult to remove ( just my luck) the molars roots had joined together instead of a minute or two it took 40 mins! Story of my life! Didn’t hurt.

Good news had breakfast looks like that is all I am eating today on my FD ( I can see the pounds falling away) I wish. Ha ha.

Might have a milky coffee later when I can feel my mouth again. Got that idea from you Hemmy.

    X

Thanks Ginette I think we crossed, I was frightened but not too bad it didn’t hurt…don’t mind the noise and pushing and pulling. Just a long time.
    X

    Hi Jean

Sounds bad. I had 7 teeth taken out in 10 mins once that was including the injection time!! I have had gum problems for many years due to medication that I have been on since I was six. I have started to lose teeth really early as a result.

I am hanging on to the last ones for dear life at the moment.

Good news though that no more work needed.

    Ginette

    Evening all,

I have been to see the Dr and yes I have got a severe chest infection.

I have been prescribed a course of antibiotics and if I don’t improve in a few days need to go back.

I have also heard from the hospital today, I am going in next Monday for treatment on my spine. … Let’s hope I have stopped coughing by then. …

Hope you are all doing better than me, keep in touch together we are stronger. …

    Audrey

    Hi All

Just checking in – poor you Jean, glad the dentist trip wasn’t painful.

I hope FD going ok for you all – I am already looking forward to my breakfast tomorrow! Weigh in is Friday morning for me so going to eat low fat and fast till then!

    Have a nice evening everyone!

    Newbsx

    Hi everyone.x

Lovely to see us all clocking on. lol

Ginette ..so glad you are feeling better.
Having the break for nearly two weeks has made me go back to square one with the rules.
You also have had lots to contend with and still doing brilliantly. I suppose we will often go for a easy time as sometimes we just need to shake our lives up a bit. Go against the grain. Also much harder when you are feeding others too.
We will all get back to it now. We are so lucky we have yourself .. and others on here who have done so well. Xx

Sym .. sooo pleased that is over for you. I was wondering how it went. Just take care now you dont want any infection.
I find that milk coffee seems to really fill me up.. worth the cals. Just getting ready to have a 3 egg herb omelette with some salad. It has been a good day. Tired now as I havnt stopped much. Hope hubby is lasting out. Xx

Audrey .. take great care and hopefully the coughing will be better by next Monday. You have waited so long for that treatment what a B if you had to miss it. Double healing thoughts going your way. Xx

Newbs .. well done you girl sounds like you have a plan for the week. This summer will see us all happy with the way we are going. Think how nice it will be to be a size or two smaller.
So annoyed I sold a very pretty size 12 long indian print dress.. never ever in my wildest imagination did I think I would be there again. Keep up the good work. We can all do this. Xx

    Hi Audrey

I thought that maybe you were on the mend…. Soon then with the antibiotics. Let’s hope it is cleared by tge time you have the op.

    Hi Hemmy

I am doing tge same, back to square one, I know I have come a long way, I still have a very long way to go. Feel like the challenge again now though!

    Ginette

In case anyone is interested here is a free 5:2 recipe book with 5:2 basics.

I’m off to find some more xx

    Hi All

Years ago the most successful diet club I belonged to was slimming magazine. They did a diet called tge flexi diet. This was 1000 calories a day plus treats.

Here is a link to a copy of it if anybody is interested. It may give some people ideas for NFDs

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=272002&d=1379309799

    Ok I’ll stop there….

    Ginette

Hi another Brit joining the forum , first time doing this diet but have been on various throughout my life
Looking forward to shifting a good half a stone
    Any tips gratefully appreciated
    Justine

    Hi everyone

Audrey, please don’t be downheartened, I am 12 lbs over my lowest too – but I KNOW it is only a temporary thing, and I am rather pleased we have had a wee break, because now I know we have the tools to get back on that horse! I found myself eating very little – ok on Friday I had a MacDonalds, but I had eaten nothing all day, even though we had snacks under the table, just kept busy, the MacDonalds was just to make sure we had a meal early one, we had left home at 4.30 am, driven for well over two hours, worked solidly all day, and a 5.30 headed South, we stopped quite quickly so that we weren’t eating late and going to bed on a heavy tum! Penne Pasta on Saturday, we had a bread starter which I really could have done without, and on Sunday managed on an egg sarnie and a muesili pot from M&S. Easier than I thought.

I am with you Ginette, back to basics, counting calories, being really good, but first I have a weekend in Copenhagen!!! With a bit of cash to spend on stock, so there will probably be nothing to buy! A trip to the Hotel Chocolat, probably won’t buy any chocolate, just a coffee, but its nice just to smell the chocolate!

Hope the walking wounded – so many of you – are feeling better, what a poor start to the year. Keep warm and keep safe everyone.

Welcome kitty, I am sure you will lots of help to get those pounds off – and an enjoyable journey with the rest of us.

    Travel hopefully ………..

    Hi Justine

Welcome to you. This is a really friendly forum with lots of support. There are some of us who are now going into out second year, this is not because this way of life was unsuccessful but because we have a lot more to lose. I am one of those with a few stone more to lose.

You will get to know people really quickly.

Just ask for help if you need it.

    Hi Milena

Good for you, have a lovely weekend in Copenhagen and you can really get down to it after that. I hope you get lots of stock.

    Ginette

Good morning friends hope all is well with you and yours. x

Hopefully yesterday went well for all our fasties.

Had a good day myself although really amazed how easy it was getting back into it. A massive 3lb lost this morning but of course as we all know .. all water. ( or wine) lol Will be so happy with a 1 lb loss after the week.

Anyway… what a difference a day makes after a fast day. Feel so much better this morning. More alert and of course it does the old self esteem good.

Hope today finds all those that are under par.. feeling better a little better . Xx

Ginette thank you so much for the links… lovely to have you back looking after us. Xx

    Take care Brit lovelies…

A dream we dream alone is only a dream…A dream we dream together is a reality. Xx

    Morning everybody

It’s good to see we are all back after our xmas break. I feel like a child going back to school and meeting up with my friends.

I am not downhearted just mad at myself for putting so much weight back on, but, as milena and ginette have both said we have lost it before we can do it again. … it’s GREAT YOU ARE BOTH BACK! I have missed your friendship and counselling. …..

This year there are no excuses let’s all stick together support each other and lose this weight. Welcome to justine. ..

Remember together we are stronger. …

    Audrey

    Hi Kitty1rose2

You are so very welcome. You have come to the right place.

This is such a good way of life more than a diet. I think most have tried other diets through out and find this one such a relief in a way.

Your half a stone will soon melt away after a few weeks of 2 fast days a week.

Lots so weight has been lost here and everyone will be happy to help you in a any way. We are all on this exciting journey together because thats how we are strongest. Keep in touch.Xx

    Morning All,

A very good FD yesterday….I couldn’t eat!!….. Feeling better than expected not perfect a bit of ear ache and few aches but not too bad. Just feeling sorry for myself..if I push it a bit it will keep hubby on his toes…ha ha ..joking. Hubby had a good FD he’s back on board.

Milena….Denmark sounds lovely, it must be 10 years since we was there..have a good time and find some good stock..

Audrey..hope the tablets kick in soon and hope you get to the hospital to get sorted for your spine.

Ginette…glad you are also getting better…what a start to the New Year for us all…

Hemmy.. We are all good at getting back on board The weight will start moving again, you are good at encouraging us all…thanks.

Newby.. Weigh in for us too Friday..hope for a good week..

Karen, Celtic….hope you are both OK..

Hi Kitty….Welcome….I ( and hubby) have only been back on board for 7 weeks and we are doing ok. Slipped off when hubby needed double knee surgery and put the 30 lb on which we had lost! So sad but the journey has started again. Best way of life ever the 5.2… I had 2 carrier bag of diet books which I threw away!!

    Hope I haven’t forgot anybody…

    Take Care all

    Jean x

    Hi Sym Thank you x

So pleased things are going the right way with the tooth extract. Also, pleased hubby has given up reaching out for his chocolates. lol

Hard going on the walk today so very muddy feels like weights on your boots.

Not feeling very hungry today. Have some smoked haddock for dinner this evening. What else todo with it god only knows … Kristy has given up carbs completely. A bit of rice and salad for me I think … she can sort her own.

Oh how I wish she would give up smoking rather than carbs. Since working back in London she is smoking more than ever. A worry.

Have a lovely afternoon you and hubs. xx

Thanks for al the welcomes , trying to count calories on my non fast day to stay healthy also exercising at least 3 times aweek , need to get fitter and leaner.
Thursday is going to be my first fast day , don’t know how I’m going to survive without my regular cups of coffee but don’t want to waste calories on drinks , looks like it will be lots of water day.
    Justine

    Xx

    Hi Hemmy

That was a nice loss, I hope things carry on this way. So far this week things are on track for me with food as well. I am fasting tomorrow and Friday as well. Are you on two or three days this week?

    Hi Audrey

Yes I’m pleased to back and in the mood for a challenge. I need to come here and get my daily dose to keep me anchored. Nothing like other people to keep me on track. Soup maker and slow cooker put to good use today and a sugar free jelly ready for tomorrow as well. Must get some rhubarb soon. Farm food have got a new chicken pieces range, tikka and also fajita style as well as BBQ and chinese style. I love chinese food but don’t like their chicken as it tastes of aniseed. I love aniseed balls just not the on chicken!

    Hi Jean

I suffered from ear aches a lot when I was younger. This is a horrible thing. You may need to get this checked in case you have an infection. I’m glad you and hubby are back on board.

    Hi Justine

There are many fruit teas out there. I limit myself to 5 cups of tea in a large cup. This keeps me full and I have counted the milk (I use long life skimmed or 1% milk) it comes out at between 88 and 100 calories so I count 100.

Good very low desserts are sugar free jellies and also steed rhubarb (I use stevia to sweeten) I have both of these with a spoonful of very low fat yoghurt. If you are anywhere near a farm foods they do 750gms rhubarb for £1.

    Hi your mum

Nice to see you here. Do you have a lot to lose? I still have about four and a half stone to go and so I shall be here a long time. I had lost over four and a half before Christmas but I have out on a bit and need to lose that first. I shall be happy to lose between one and two stones in a year, I just need to keep going in the right direction.

    Hi Karen

Yes a few of us are going back to basics. I put my target weight in at the start and also set it to lose about 1lb a week. It is nice to feel a little organised again.

    Ginette

    Hi All

I have just downloaded an app sugar smart it tells you how much sugar there is in things.

    Read about it here….. http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/tech-news/can-this-app-help-you-curb-your-sugar-intake-11364031789098

Looks like I shall be playing with it ….

    Ginette

Good morning friends hope all is well with you and yours. x

So annoyed after a good start .. overdid the wine last night and therefor tucked mindlessly into nuts. At least the ones you need to shell. Anyway was pleased that only 1 lb went back on. Sweet stuff definitely not of much interest anymore.

Everyone seems to be back in the swing of things .. I had forgotten how good a fasting day made you feel. Like a fresh clean start with your body.

Thank you Ginette for the links .. will check them out. Just 2 days FD for me.. want to keep it easy and comfortable. I think I get a bit obsessed when I do more. lol xx

    A big welcome Your-Mum.. xx

    Have a good day Brit lovelies. Ginette… Audrey..Milena …Celtic … Karen…Newbs… Sym …Summer .. Kitty…Mum and anyone else looking in.

Striving for success without any hard work …Is like trying to harvest what you havnt planted. Xx

    Morning fellow brits…

I am still struggling with my chest but have decided that today is the day I do my first fast of 2016. Wish me luck I think I may need it!

Have a great day everybody remember to watch what you are eating on non fast days as well as fast days, sometimes I think that these are the hardest days…

    Together we are stronger

    Audrey

    Morning Brits,

Good luck on your fast day Audrey…you know everybody is behind you…but take care of that chest.

    Welcome your- mum

Ginette..half the weight gone the other half to go…you have done really great..very encouraging to us all.

Don’t forget Michael is on the TV tonight…I do like watching him and listening to his views.

I had a bad start to the morning waiting 2 hours to take my painkillers, I think my head is confused to were my pain is, I feel worse than Monday…maybe everything is knitting together…..

    All for the moment
    Jean x

Ive just taken the plunge and ordered a nutri ninja blender… JL have the IQ version on offer. Hoping this will be an easy way of getting loads of stuff into Stu. We have a couple of friends who swear by them or nutri bullet so fingers crossed.

    Hi All

Here is a little more about the sugar app and the sugar in things.

How much sugar does YOUR favourite food contain? FEMAIL tests the new app that calculates the number of cubes in everyday items – with very surprising results
    http://dailym.ai/1Sz3xRN

    Hi Hemmy

Yes I finished a few nuts yesterday as well.

Good luck Audrey, I do hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

    Hi Jean

So sorry to hear that you are worse have you been to the doctors? I am looking forward to watching that as well. There is also another one on next week where three new diets are tried. One for each program, all these programs help me along the way. I think he is a doctor as well, I shall try to get some info.

Yes, I am pleased with what I have lost and I happy to lose slowly as long as I am losing. Of course the weight I put on I want to go quickly!! I think that I will be happy with about 2lbs a month once I have lost that

    Hi Celtic

Nice to hear from you. How are you both? Is Stu improving?

Cold weather is on its way folks….. Looks like us southerners are about to get a shock. Next week I think.

    Ginette

Here is the programme I mentioned. One of those he is testing is the 5:2. Monday 11th 8pm BBC2

    http://www.channel4.com/programmes/how-to-lose-weight-well

    Ginette,

I think I am OK..its just all the deep drilling cutting my tooth in half and also the roots had to be cut as they had joined together..its just bruising it feels all along my teeth and gums…and the pain in one of my ears..my brain is confused! Hoping it soon starts to recover as I soon know after 4 hours to have my painkillers again!

    Sorry to go on….

    Jean x

    Hi jean

You moan all you want to it sounds horrendous. …

I have had a good day today, but not a fast day. …I just think I am still not well enough, got to 5 o’clock and felt horrendous so I have eaten…. will try again next week. .

Ginette think the programme is on channel 4 not bbc 2….but it sounds good doesn’t it?

Hope you are all having a great day

    Keep in touch

    Audrey

    Hi Jean

Yes I agree you moan all you want it does us good to have a moan sometimes.

    Hi Audrey

Yes of course it is!!! Must have got it mixed in my brain with trust me I’m a doctor. I am about to watch that now.

    Ginette

Hi All off topic but for people who have this awful cough. This is what I did and it really did help. I felt a bit silly doing it the first time but not any more.

Can smothering your FEET in Vicks cure that cough? Users claim applying popular ointment before bed helps clear up colds by the morning
    http://dailym.ai/1Syr45e

Good morning friends hope all is well with you and yours. x

Fast day today … so far all going well this week other than the one blip.
    Back on track again..

That Vick on the feet tip is very interesting Ginette. I have seen that mentioned on Face Book. Also a spoonful of honey and some cinnamon daily supposed to help with lots of stomach problems.

    Have a good day Brit lovelies Ginette… Audrey..Milena …Celtic … Karen…Newbs… Sym …Summer .. Kitty…Mum and anyone else looking in.

Junk food we have craved for an hour …Or the body we have craved for a lifetime.

    Our Decision . XX

    Morning all,

Ginette I tried the vic trick but it didn’t help my chest or cough! I am however starting to feel a little more like myself thank goodness.

Jean hope you feel a little better today, celtic hope the ninja arrives soon, you must let us know how you get on with it.

Hemmy good morning motivation as usual, thank you you keep me motivated.

Hello to all my other brit friends too,

Keep in touch and remember together we are stronger

    Audrey

    Morning All,

Both fasting today, we usually go out, even food shopping killing the day a bit over lunch time. Weigh in tomorrow…..

Found some heavy pain killers I had from the Doc before, helped me have a good nights sleep! I shall ring the dentist tomorrow if the pain isn’t getting any easier.

Like the idea of the Vic…granddaughter has had a bad cough for 6 weeks I will pass it on see if it helps her.

Hoping everybody is getting back on track and the weight is starting to melt away…..

Hope you are all having a great day. I feel so much better I have actually cooked this morning, turkey bolognese which I am having later with some bare naked noodles.

I am going to try a fast day again today. Although I haven’t managed a 500 fast this week I have been very good calorie wise so am hoping to at least maintained my weight this week if not lost anything.

Will be in touch again soon, keep on losing my fellow brits

    Audrey

Hello just checking in. I’ve completed my two fasts for this week and trying to eat mindfully today.

Scales dipped back under the ten stone but still nowhere near back to my lowest weight since starting of 9:6. Maybe I just dreamt that weight. Still Christmas damage has been undone and heading back in the right direction.

Would be nice if the rain would stop as not much feeling like getting out and about.

    Take care

    Hi everyone!

I live in Hampshire in the UK and have just started the ADF lifestyle (trying not to call it a diet, as I want to make it a way of life for myself!). I am 35 years old, 5’3″ and 205lbs.
I haven’t always been fat. In the last 2 years my body weight has doubled due to medication that I have been prescribed.
My doctor has promised to wean me off the medication, but I’m going to have to lose the weight the old-fashioned way – through grit, self-control, healthy eating, exercise and determination.

    6th January 2016
I am only at the start of my weight loss story and find the amount I have to lose (100lbs) daunting, to say the least, but I am determined!
I am on the ADF regime, eating >340 calories on my DD and trying to limit my UD to 1200 calories (but not been too unkind to myself if I exceed that amount).
I’m eating healthily, trying, where possible, to exclude processed carbs, dairy, refined starches, potatoes, red meat, processed meat and sugar – my big weakness!
I hope to increase my calorie intake on the UDs when I start exercising more, but at the moment my energy isn’t great and I just can’t bring myself to getting started, quite possibly how I got into this state to start with!

I’ve really enjoyed reading your stories and feel inspired into believing that I could make this work for myself too!

    Many thanks x

    Welcome duchess

Good luck on your journey, you will get heaps of support here, there are a few of us that are about to celebrate 1 year on 5 2.

I find it easier to not look at the amount of weight I have to lose but look at it in smaller blocks. If you plan to lose half a stone it’s doable in a short space of time, so I have made lots of little targets to try to hit. Perhaps aim for a smaller target and reward yourself when you get there?

Good luck with your journey, and please keep in touch and join with us in ours!

I have this saying together we are stronger,

    Audrey

Hoping everybody has had a good day.

Had a lovely hot chicken breast with salad for dinner, can’t always have all cold food in the winter. We both have had a good FD…hoping the scales are kind to us in the morning.

Welcome Duchess …we will all help you with your journey..as Audrey says small goals at a time and you will get there. Keep in touch.

Down loaded the sugar app didn’t work too well in Aldi…maybe me..I had it working at home?? Anyone else tried it?
