  • Hi everyone

hugs to your mum Audrey, keep safe!

We are heading down to Gateshead very early New Year’s morn for a fair – then off to Stafford that night for a two day fair!

Getting a tad concerned about the weather though.

Hope y’all had a great time – hubby has managed to put on 5 kilos – absolutely disgusting, though we have been working so hard that we have been relying on him feeding us both – that is the result!

Me – well, I keep telling him its not a competition – and put on a suitable frown at my gannet. And anyway, I beat him!

    YIIIIIIIKES!

    Have a great weekend all!

    Hi Jean

What an awful Christmas for your daughter, we had a quiet one. Troublemaker away for Christmas and new year but returning then, old wounds opened. I am back with really bad sleepless nights, hence the early post!! My thoughts go out to your daughter and family, so sad…..

I hope Kirsty’s birthday celebrations went well, I always feel sorry for people who have their birthdays near Christmas. I used to get combined presents, mine is in November…..

Oh Audrey poor you, saw the floods on the TV, so many people are affected by them, such a lot of destruction…… Your mums house is ok I hope? My mum was flooded in a country area when she was alive, she lived in a dip with surrounding fields, not in this country so I couldn’t even go to help until later, it really affected her wellbeing as well.

My thoughts go out to those who are affected.

…and today is Sunday….hopefully not more roast!! Fast day tomorrow, anybody else fasting then?

    Ginette

    Hi Milena

Remember food in transit. I advise waiting until after the festivities to weight… About three days after should show a truer picture. I hope your journey is uneventful.

    Ginette

    Hi all,

I am safe and dry, not fasting till new year.

Hope you are all o.k. and keeping well, great to hear from both ginette and milena, merry Xmas to you both,

All my best to you all will post again soon

    Audrey

    Hi All,

    Nice to hear from everybody.

Audrey..keep Mum safe there are so many floods it’s so sad…

Ginette…thanks for your kind words….we have another daughter which throws the ups and downs all the time it really gets to you…..theres one usually about in every family…hope yours settles when she comes back..my thoughts are with you.

Milena.. good luck on the fairs hope they go well..weight will come off next year we will all be quite close I am sure…keep away from the scales!!!

Ginette….Hoping to fast Monday and Wednesday this week also if I can manage…I am keeping off scales at the moment, Hubby eating everything in sight he must know what’s happening on 4th January!! Ha Ha

    Take Care

    Hiya fasting buddies

Been for lovely walk and saw rhododendrons in bloom! Daisies flowering in the grass and cow parsley in the hedgerow – this mild weather is really playing havoc with nature!

FD for me tomorrow and Wednedsday – will continue with those two days so I can do an extra one on Friday sometimes if I have a ‘heavy’ weekend ahead!

Lovely to hear from you Milena, Audrey, Jean, Ginette, Hemmy. Beverley, hope you are ok too. We have about the same to lose so hopefully we can support each other in 2016! Sorry if I have missed anyone?

    Have a lovely Sunday

    Newbsx

    Hi Brit Buddies!

I am sooo done with food!! Paul and I have checked out the best before dates and put unopened stuff away. I was really restrained with food purchases too so dread to think how much extra food some people may have! I don’t think I need to buy any chocolate for 6 months!!

So glad to have a dog so we can get out walking πŸ™‚

So sorry to hear that the festivities haven’t been the happiest for some of you x I had experience of that back in the day and sadly there is nothing you can do about some people.

Thinking of all the poor people up north coping with flooding..a terrible situation for them. Hope all of you are safe..and family and friends too x

Lovely to see some old names popping back πŸ™‚

Time for another dog walk and some glass recycling! !!

    Take care all x

    Karen
    Xx

Mums house is relatively safe, the bay window has began to leak so we need to get a builder in…. have walked to town centre, it’s been badly hit by the river, it runs underground but has burst through the manholes and flooded all of the shops and the town centre has been under water to quite a depth in places!

On the way here yesterday had to turn round quite a few times because of flood water, but it did go down later so ian was able to get back to the motorway and safely home.

No more rain forecast for the next few days thank goodness.

Hope all my fast friends are safe and dry.

Keep in touch, stay safe together we are stronger

    Audrey

Good afternoon friends hope all is well with you and yours. xxxx

So lovely to see all our Brit family back together. … Just need Celtic .. Bev and sig. Maybe in the New year…New start.

Hope everyone is dry and safe. .. Well did have to see the funny side of it as one of the tiles on the roof has slipt down again. We have had very high winds here again.

A beautiful rest and feeling relaxed here… not too bad on eating as like others have said finding things far too sweet. Mum said I am not drinking so much wine this year Lolol praise indeed .

Enjoy your Christmas my dear friends it is all too soon gone.

Take care all… Brit Lovelies… Together we can achieve great things in 2016 it is our year.

    Hi Ginette

Almost became a tens lady reading your post!! Nearly peed myself laughing.

Wish it was goods in transit, but it’s not! It’s sheer piggery.

Actually I have discovered having more than have a shot of coffee in my latte sends me straight to the loo, OH is making coffee as I write, so a quick espresso and all would be right with the world.

‘re the combined presents, weren’t they always exactly the same as the single pressies everyone else got? Mine were!

Snacks and champagne today, only just starting the 3rd Hobbit, so it looks like LOTR tomorrow.

    Steak and something tomorrow.

Taking home made pate and lasagne with mozzarella cheese and garlic loaves to bro in law Tuesday, we can’t decide on cheesecake or pavlova for sweet so doing both.

Beef stroganoff on Wednesday to finish off the HUGE fillet steak I bought. Trying my new rice cooker – though I need a rice cooker like a hole in the head, did ask for one!!

And that is it! Already looking towards days without food!!

But I will be happy if mine is only 5 kilos when I do weigh – might be more than three days though!!! Oh well!

    Oh milena,

Your festivities sound like mine. ..think the phrase we are doomed springs to mind. I am soo fed up now of eating, I can’t wait to get home to fast!

    Hope everyone is ok,

Ginette stay strong, I am going to need your friendship and support again next year.

Hemmy hope all the birthday celebrations went ok.

Karen, Newby symba and Co. , thanks for all your support too mum appreciates all your kind words and best wishes.

I am off for a shower, another day of visitors and feasting today, then I believe it’s fish and chips tomorrow. …..πŸ˜•πŸ˜•

I would say together we are stronger, but am full of a cold and definitely not too strong on will power just now so we will just have to try our best. … until the new year….

    Audrey

    Hi Brits,

Starting a FD today so all the chocs etc have been put away till tomorrow! Hubby won’t leave them alone so they are now out of sight. We will have a few more up to the New Year then they will be put away for a few treats at the weekend.

I have done a stocktake and I am surprised by the amount much lower than usual. Like Karen it usually keeps us going for 6 months…maybe this time 2 at the mostπŸ˜€.

I think we will have a nice ribeye steak for NY day…. Pavlova tomorrow to use cream up…Milena.. I think you are leading me astray.

Hope you soon feel better Audrey…whiskey and hot lemonade by the half pint….half and half…makes you feel better helps you sleep…..you need about 3 or 4 a day….snuggle down and take care…I swear by them!

Lots of people still visiting and with food..it will soon be all over…all quiet for us now…a walk out later burn some calories off….

    Jean X

Good evening friends hope all is well with you and yours. x

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday . Hopefully all entertaining… visiting has finished here now. A quiet New Year is per usual thank goodness. Kristy will be away so just Mum and I. Really enjoying the restful easy days. Have not weighed but clothes are ok. Had a protein based breakfast brunch at 11am and hardly eaten since. Maybe cheese and biscuits later. So far amazingly good with eating and drinking.

Sym …well done you with your FD today. Hope it went well..You are very determined bless you. Xx

Audrey … hope your cold is better soon .. maybe 2 glasses of Mums port would help my friend.Lol Sending her all our very best wishes for 2016. Xx

Milena very best wishes. Hope the fairs go well for your family. The food sounds wonderful.Xx

    Take care all Xx

Hello, hoping to join the Brits forum. Have been doing 5:2 since Feb and lost 3 stone. One more to go that proving a bit stubborn.
Had a lovely week leading up to Christmas with lots of family get togethers so I didn’t worry about fasting, but managed to get straight back to it Boxing Day and then again today.
Determined to lose this last stone by the summer.
Have gone from size 14-16 to 8-10 and loving the new me.
Hope you doing mind me joining in.

Welcome to you Summer and what inspiration to us all. Congratulations on your weight loss, you can be proud of yourself!

I am aiming to lose 3 stones in 2016 (lost 11lb since Oct 19 when started 5:2) Your post was just what I needed to read at the end of a difficult FD!

It will be great to have your input and to help you towards losing your final stone! It is great for all us ‘Brits’ having each other to share our ups and downs and we are looking forward to a skinny end to 2016!

    Newbsx

    Hi Newbs x
How brave are you doing a FD today. How is the holiday going for you so far … easy or hard. Most seem to be waiting till the 4th to restart. Looking forward to our positive slim journey into the New Year together. Xx

Hi Summer16 you are so very welcome. X Wow Wee size 8-10 how absolutely fabulous. What an inspiration you are and very well done.

What part of the country do you come from. Hope you are in a warm dry area.

Look forward to your tips and experience as we all strive to crack this weight challenge… in 2016 Xx

    Hi all,

Wow symba well, done on fasting yesterday

Welcome summer you are very welcome to join us, we are a friendly group. …

Hemmy, I am still full of cold, not trying to fast until I am home safe and feeling better….

Keep in touch everyone we have a house full of guests again today…..

Good luck and best wishes to everyone. …together we are stronger so keep in touch. ..

    Audrey

    Morning All,

We had a good FD yesterday although hubbys hand kept going for his chocs on the fire place….good job I had moved them! Strange never really get hungry on a FD now but after eating lots over the last week we both felt the hunger pangs return yesterday! Still we were OK and was good. Fasting again Wednesday this week leaving Xmas Eve free….

Hi Summer and welcome…you have done really well with your weight loss and you can help us to keep on track. I have 2 to 2 1/2 stone to loose hopefully by June

Audrey hoping you are feeling a bit better…

Hemmy, Karen, Milena and Newby all take care

We are both off for injections today πŸ™ and hoping for some retail therapy later πŸ˜€

    Have a good day

    Jean X

    Hi All

I am pleased to say that fasting went well yesterday, I’ve got an annoying cough so I had to have a couple of foxes fruit sweets as well so calm this.

Keeping our of the kitchen was made easier by one or maybe both of my cats having tummy troubles. I put down a spoonful of fish and rice for him/them, they both ignored it. They are sticking to be like glue at the moment as this is all they have had for 24 hours. I shall feed them teatime and hole for the best.

    Hi Newby

Yes weather is very odd at the moment, the sun is shining here though and it is really quite spring like!! It is 19.8 indoors without the heating on. I am sure colder weather will come though. I thought it was meant to be a cold winter….. Isn’t that what they said. Some parts of the country are getting far more than there fair share of the rain though.

    Hi Jean

I am also fasting on Wednesday, I’m not sure about Friday though, I may give that a miss this week. It was nice getting back to it, I was worried that I wouldn’t want to. I hope I carry on though….. Is anyone else worried?

    Hi Karen

I know how you feel, it is nice to have a couple of light food days. A meal tonight will be enough for me, I am giving lunch a miss, often eating triggers more eating so that will be the best thing. I need to get off of this food roundabout. I think I started early…. On the lead up. I may weigh next week and then hopefully get a good starting point again, even though I am back to it now. Last year I started on January 10th.

    Hi Hemmy

When are you planning to start back? I’m am glad you seem to have eating under control.

    Hi Milena

It sounds as if you are still enjoying yourself, it is much easier to put on than take off I think. When are you starting back?

    Hi Audrey

Your journey sounded really bad, there are so many people without insurance as well. How will they manage? I know that everything takes such a long time to dry our as well.

    Hi Summer

How well you have done, I am sure you can see and feel the benefits. Do you fast for two days? They do say the last stone is the most difficult. Are you sure you need to lose another stone? Size 8 – 10 sounds a good size. I am sure we all need to get back on track.

I will be pleased if I get down to a size 18 next year, that is my target. I realise that it is still overweight but I need to be realistic about it.

Does anyone else have any targets in mind for themselves?

    Ginette

    Hi ginette,

Great to hear from you I have now lost my voice completely so imagine I am whispering this.

I am due to go home on Thurs but more rain fall is forecast for Wednesday so it is river permitting. …

Mum says to tell you we are playing charade here she has never known me so quiet….hehe

Got to go my aunt and cousin are on their way haven’t seen her since dad passed away so not very close….

Keep in touch, together we are stronger

    Audrey

    Hi Ginette,

Lovely to hear from you, I will be fasting tomorrow and maybe a step on scales Thursday morning 😬
Starting the 4th with a Monday and Thursday fast and weigh in Friday as usual.

Yes I am worried I found it hard to get on board the other year and feel positive..although I think I am in a better spirit all around this time. We have a two week holiday booked the first two weeks in February and I would like a stone off by then ( about 7 lbs) this month. Again it’s coming back off the holiday and getting back in control with everything, like Xmas all again!

    We are all stronger together

    Jean X

    Hi fasting buddies!

Glad to hear your news Ginette and I hope your cats are feeling better! My little cat is 18 this year and likes to have her own way. She has a heated pet bed and lives a real life of luxury! Currently, she is lying full stretch in front of the log burner 🐱🐱🐱!

Audrey, I just love playing charades and was so jealous as nobody else around here likes to play it. Hope all goes well with the visitors today.

Jean, you can do it – I will join you in trying to lose 7lb before your holiday in February. My new year resolution is to be a lot more active – may even take up running, which I used to do many moons ago! Firstly, I will be doing Pilates, weights and trying to get as near to 100 steps a day as possible! My goal for 2016 is 3 st loss! I found Summer’s post so encouraging.

We have had a lovely day today. We went out to a pub on the edge of Exmoor for lunch and then did a nice hilly walk around a nearby reservoir. The sun was shining and it was beautiful. I realise that losing my 48 year old friend in October, has made me realise more fully how precious life is and how we should live each day to the full. (Getting down from soapbox now!)

Hope you all have a good evening. Keep smiling and keep positive – remember – being honest with yourself is easy once you stop being afraid of the truth😊

    Newbsx

    Hello lovely ladies

So nice to come home from work and catch up with the posts.

I’m on an NFD today and so far have just had some coffee and porridge. That filled me up till about 5 then walking back to the car, then filling up with petrol and I was agonising about buying some sweets/chocolate but knowing me it would never be a sensible amount. Why does everything now come in family sized bags. I’m pleased to say I resisted so have up to 1200 calories to play with for dinner. It’s unlikely I’ll eat even half that but nice to know I can have a Christmas chocolate or two after.

That’s my aim for 2016 – to keep control on the NFD.

Don’t worry Ginette, I don’t want to be any smaller than a size 8 but would love to lose the stubborn wobbly bits and think another stone together with lots of toning exercise should just about do it.

    Have a brilliant evening all.

    Hi Audrey

Sorry to hear that you have lost your voice, good game charades all considering!!

I hope you have an uneventful journey home.

    Hi Jean

Yes me too. Heck sausages and tomato omelete in the evening. Sugar free Jelly at some point as well. Still eating a bit to excess other days though. It’s the other days I am finding difficult. I have got to get more sensible with those.

It is nice to have a target to aim for in February. You can do that. It will keep you focused.

    Hi Newby

So far so good, they have just had the tiniest bit of chicken to eat. I shall be keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes losing someone can put our life into focus. We need to show people we care for how much we love and appreciate them.

    Hi Summer

Yes, non fast days are my problem. I think I shall have to go back to my fitness pal and count calories again on NFDs. This should get me back on track.

You will know when you feel pleased with your weight. We came aim for perfection, but then we will have a constant struggle ….. Or we can aim for what we are comfortable with, far less challenging and far more contentment to be found here.

I appreciate where I have come from (weight wise) I know where I would like to be eventually and if I get anywhere near there I shall be content, I just like to set small targets and at Keats then I am always heading in the right direction – for me that is downwards with periods of maintenance along the way.

    Ginette

Mixed day today, Stuart had an appointment at the Prostate clinic because raised PSA result. Finally had DRE (physical exam) and all is ok so they are going to repeat blood test in Febuary just to be sure. Toward the end of the consultation Stu had a seizure, the medics didnt grasp what was happening so I am very relieved I was there. Another slightly longer more violent seizure about quater an hour ago so we are going yo present at GP first thing tomorrow. Stuarts been on the new anti epilepsy medication for about 12 days and about 4 days since the dose was upped (although still very low). I know hes very disapointed, frustrated and angry. I know hes been really hoping he will be able to get back on the motorbike πŸ˜•

Looks like my last twoosts have vanished ?

Hi Celtic… so very pleased to see you. Xx

Oh what a worry for you again. It must be hard for you having the worry of Stu plus his disappointment wanting to get back on the bike.

Good at least he was with the medics when the seizure happened they saw first hand the situation.

My heart goes out to you Celtic … why oh why do some people have to cope with so much… its not fair.

We do worry about you constantly .. I know it must be very hard for you both but never forget my friend we are always here for you. Xx

    Morning all,

Celtic I am pleased the prostate is ok my husband ian has been asking about Stu as you know we went through similar last year and I know if you look on the Web it is VERY SCARY. Let’s hope they soon get his seizures under control.

I am still voiceless, so when ian rang me to say good morning he had to talk to my mum, I can’t even whisper now! Have coughed so much it’s gone completely. ….

Will be back in touch now at new year, I think I am going to have to cancel my new years party if i don’t improve soon!

Love to you all keep in touch as always together we are stronger

    Audrey

    Hi Audreyx

What a shame losing your voice at this time. I hope you are well enough to enjoy your party.

You have worked hard on the Xmas festivities and it would be a shame to miss out. Take care of yourself my friend.

Happy New Year to you and yours xx

Celtic..lovely to hear from you but so sorry on Stu he seemed to have everything under control..hoping doctor can sort him when you see him get him on a level keel again..our love to you both.

Audrey…hoping the voice comes back for NY and you are feeling much better.

    Ginette..we are both fasting today..hope it’s a good one!

Newby..your walk around Exmoor sounds lovely, thinking of your friend, it’s nice that memories keep with us..

Hemmy and Summer have a good day too..

Take care have a good day all.

    Jean X

    Hi Celtic

Thinking about you both, I am sure seizures really take it out of Stu as well. Let’s hope they get the Meds to the right level soon.

    Hi Audrey

Do you have a sore throat as well? I have a cough that is keeping me up, only two and a half hours sleep last night, I think I will be having a long nap in the chair this afternoon.

    Hi Jean

…and to you, I am trying to get back into routine, not so easy though.

    Hi Hemmy

    Ginette

    Hi fasting buddies

Celtic, I do hope you OH is back on an even keel soon. Sometimes it is so hard trying to be there for someone we love because without a magic wand, we can’t take the problem away.

Audrey, I hope you find your voice soon! You poor thing and so frustrating not to be up to scratch.

Ginette, Hemmy, Jean, Summer and anyone I may have missed, I hope you are having a good day. So far it has not stopped raining today, so give it half an hour and it will be Big Mac time ( no not the testy ones) and off on a dog walk. OH informs me that it is due to rain for 5 days here in the SW! (Cheery little soul!)

FD for me today and all well so far! keep strong all you fasters!

    Newbsx

    The party is cancelled. …

I am completely voiceless and busy throwing up and running to the loo!

As ian wears an hearing aid it’s going to be a very quiet journey home tomorrow. …

Will be back in touch when I am healthy again.

Have a great new years eve everybody, don’t party toooo much!

    Audrey

    Hi Newby

Apart from a headache and cough fast day is going well. I hope you didn’t get too wet.

    Hi Audrey

Poor you, you sound as if you are really under the weather as well. Stay indoors and take it easy when you are home. There is deginetly something going around xx

    Ginette

Take it easy ginette that’s how mine started. …

    Audrey

So sorry to hear a few on the forum aren’t feeling so well. Wishing you a speedy recovery and you start 2016 feeling healthier than you are finishing this year.

I came home from work tonight and asked my husband what he wanted for dinner and he announced he was on a fast day!!! He’s never fasted and just watched me since Feb showing no inkling to try it, although he is supportive.

He doesn’t need to lose weight so says he’s doing it for health benefits then spent the rest of the evening telling me all about the benefits, as if I didn’t know. I just smiled and agreed.

It will be lovely to have some company though.

Hope you have a lovely time tomorrow whether that be relaxing and recuperating or partying hard.

My 2 fast days are done for the week so will enjoy the next 2 days with family and friends.

    Morning All,

Well we managed the 2 fasts this week and we got on the scales this morning .aah….1 lb on each…really pleased, I know we had 1 lb on pre Xmas week each…so all in all 2 lb damage..just two days to go all naughties will be removed for a few treats at weekends!

Audrey, Ginette and Stu hoping you are all feeling better soon.

Newby, Hemmy and Celtic take care

Summer..I have hubby on board, I think it really helps

Sig and Karen hoping you both are well all quiet from both of you

Everybody…….Happy New Year, Better Health and Good Fasting for 2016

    Jean x

    Morning all

Ian came straight from work to mums early this morning and has brought me home. ..

I feel dreadful, think the cough is turning bronchial and am still on and off the loo. Can’t get a Dr’s appointment for lover or money so am sat here on my sofa wrapped in an electric blanket to keep warm!

Hope ginette and Stu are feeling better ….

Think my drink for new year us going to be night nurse! Hehe

Happy new years Eve to you all.

    Audrey

    Hi Audrey

I had a better night last night. I tried something really strange that someone suggested. Rubbing Vick on the soles of my feet. I managed to get a relatively cough free night, coincidence?! Has anyone else tried this?

I am glad you are home and I hope you are feeling a bit better now although my cough is sounding the same and I think I may be heading for the doctors next week if it doesn’t clear. Try the Vick remedy. I haven’t had bronchitis for years now. I hear that there is a lot of this around. Hasn’t out me off of my food though….. I am not getting any other symptoms apart from generally not feeling 100% I haven’t had any sickness, so I am grateful for that.

I can understand why tge party is off. I do hope it passes quickly.

This is the first year I have had the flu injection. I was told that I am entitled to it, maybe because the BP I’m not sure.

Cats seem to be ok now thankfully.

    Hi Celtic

I hope Stu is settling down to new Meds now. They are talking about changing mine when my BP is under control. The last time they changed mine more than 20 years ago I had a really bad fit. Doctors said it was withdrawal symptoms, maybe the same with Stu.

    Hi Summer

That is why we are in here I think as we have company for our fasts. Nice to have someone at home doing it as well though.

    Hi Jean

What a great result! I haven’t plucked up the courage to weigh yet. I may wait until January 10th as this is when I started and will give me a years total and start the second year. I still did my fast days in the lead up but also ate to excess on the other days as well. So we shall see soon if that has caused me to put on weight.

I hope everyone else is ok and looking forward to the new year.

    Ginette

I do that Ginette – it always works!!! Glad it worked for you, when I suggest it to anyone, I can see the eyes roll!

Well done Symba!!! I’ve started today.

Sorry to hear about Stu, Celtic, I hope things are going ok, and praying for good news.

Well, fridge empty, wine all put away til Valentine’s Day – amazing to have wine left – that’s a first.

A wee glass of martini then off to bed at 9, if I can get the car packed, three days of fairs to look forward to and a couple of nights in a travelodge – I hope the adverts are correct, we have stayed in a few dodgy travelodges in our time! No celebrating – unless we sell lots – lol!!!!!

Its been great getting to know you all this year – looking forward to having dinner at your mums next year Audrey!!!

May the best ye hae ivver seen be the warst ye’ll ivver see.

9 pm New Years Eve, can I share my thoughts,

Started drinking a glass of wine at 5.30, had dinner and pudding…more wine, finished a box of after eight, moved onto a box of my favourite plain chocolate marzipan sweets…I am now feeling a bit off…sickly…stuffed…a headache coming on…more wine..now moving on to hubbys toffees, my favourites just one piece….oh dear..oh dear..half my tooth has now fallen out…dentist next week. ( no pain)

I am glad I am feeling off, getting it out my system, it serves myself right…..the line is now drawn. I feel it’s now the time to cleanse myself, 1 inch of wine left.

I have now started the New Year, 5.2 is here early and I am really glad…a glass of milk in hand!

    Happy New Year

Oh Sym you are not alone.Xx

Tonight I have eaten and drunk more than the whole festive week.

Mindlessly tucking into ginger chocs .. turkish delight that I found far to sweet but kept going.

We will still go off the rails now and again … we are allowed to we are human.

“2016 awaits our little gang and all together we will do this.

You have your lovely holiday to look forward to …spur you and hubby on… AND Jean we will be there with you both every step of the way.

In our lovely star Audreys famous quote “Together we are stronger” Bring on Monday Fast. Xx

    Hi Milena

Yes it seems to. Been up in the chair all night so far as breathing was too difficult laying down. May see if I can get an appointment Saturday morning for antibiotics.

Yes, I too ate too much yesterday, ploughed through some chocolates. Thank goodness for the two fast days this week. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will all be on track.

    Jean and Hemmy

You are not alone, a couple of fast days should see any damage corrected.

Audrey up I hope you are on the mend.

Karen it is nice to see you.

    Happy new year everybody

    Ginette

    Happy new year everyone. …

Ginette hope you have managed to sleep

    Milena travel safely

Best wishes to the rest of the gang hemmy, Karen, symba, Karen, newbs, summer and all….sorry if I missed anyone, blame hormones or lack of kip…

Still not well, have managed to get about 3 hrs sleep! Dr’s for me too when I can get there….,

Stay safe everyone I am back fasting on the 5th…..keep in touch let’s stick together through 2016 and all be losers together!

    Audrey

Happy New Year to you all,

Both woke up feeling a bit yucky….we have been off the sweets, biscuits, cakes, etc for 6 weeks and I think that’s hit us more than you realise..the sugar rush it makes you aware on how bad it is for you…

I am glad it’s all over, even hubby saying no more sweets…surprisingly! Mr.Sweet Guy!

From Monday our Happy Band returns to normal… getting us all back on track and seeing all our pounds melt away..all getting smaller as the year gets on her way.

Good evening friends hope all is well with you and yours. x

I cannot believe its a week from Xmas day. It has flown by.

Today we have had a simple cottage pie for dinner … what we fancied after all the rich food.

Had planned on a nice piece of beef but decided to do that on Sunday.

Its funny I have been off this WOL for about 10 days now and have not weighed or felt the urge in that time. Usually when fasting I am on the scales like a yo yo. lol

I do not feel the panic after New Year that has been the norm in past years. Feel light hearted … hopeful … excited that with the constant support of our little group I can really do this . Nine and a half stone is achievable… something I thought I would never ever in a million years see again.

Will enjoy finishing off the opened stuff this week-end plus my wine. lolol Most stuff will cover Easter dates.

Look forward then my dear friends to continuing our weightloss journey sharing our personal … family… fears and dreams. 2016 Yay Yay YAy. xxxx

    Hi Brits,

    All quiet on here.

Had a quiet lazy day, went out this morning to top up the groceries, bought fresh fruit and salads for the week ahead and a bit of fresh air.

Hoping to cut the sugar down and the fibre up to help with healthy eating for the New Year. There’s a lot of talk about it.

Hoping Ginette, Audrey and Stu improving and feeling a lot better.

    Take care everybody else

    Jean x
