  • Heidi is very happy, she has had 2 chicken legs, wings and thighs plus anything else on the carcass.Sleeping it off now😁

    Lucky Heidi!

Sounds like the dogs have had a good day with trips out & lots of chicken/ ice cream!!
Just back from baptism service- being a baptist Church they have the proper deep pool under the floor, at the end the string on the plug broke, so one of the boys volunteered to go in, ended up with 3 lads having a swim!
Halo has slipped well & truly tonight, had 2 pieces of cake, chocolate & fudge! Oops…back to keto tomorrow, can’t do a FD as my aunt, uncle & mum are coming for dinner. They’re taking mum back to stay with them for a week, which hopefully will be good for her☺

Got to have some fun eating now and then.

Just a quick note, been keeping up to date with posts, even fasted once and I’ll pop on tomorrow for a catch up.

Jean, wanted to wish Steve, and you, all the best for tomorrow. I’ll be thinking of you both.

    Take care

    Lynne x

    Morning All..
Up early and eaten…take the boy out and away for 8.30..🤞…

    Lynne..
Lovely to hear from you and thanks for the wishes. Hoping all is well in your corner and the girls too.

    Hedgehog..
That’s all different having a ‘swim’ in church..hope the problem was all sorted..slip once in a while won’t hurt you are usually so strong….lovely Mums going away for a holiday visit, it will give you a break and maybe decorating can start or will it be resting…make the most of it…

    Dave..
Glad the chicken dinner was shared around 😂

    Speak later in the day…

    Jean x

    Morning…
Jean- thinking of you & Steve today…
Lynne- lovely to hear from you, think of you often & wonder how you & the girls are doing okay…
Everyone else have a good day & stay strong if fasting…

Jean know you have left now but sending all good thoughts to you both. Hello PashaW, we haven’t met yet but looking forward to getting to know you. HH have never heard of having a proper deep pool in a church but love the vision it conjures up of the boys swimming. Glad you enjoyed the cake, as Dave says we all love food and have to enjoy it. Life would be miserable.

Right, B2B 800 calorie days today and tomorrow (not looking forward to that but must just suck it up) as Wednesday and Thursday are definitely NFDs. Paul is taking us and a couple of friends to a lovely restaurant with rooms in Nottingham for DBB on Wednesday. We went for my 60th as a treat and always wanted to go again. So total indulgence that evening and then a lovely breakfast on the Thursday so I will just enjoy the day and then back to ADF on Friday. Good luck anyone fasting today.

Jean, you have already left, but thinking of you and Steve and sending positive thoughts x

Was a bit hungry/snacky yesterday so struggled a bit. On the whole it was ok as I was only up to 950 cals but annoyingly Neil opened some crisps and I dived on, so not sure what I finished on!
Scales being kind though, so sticking with it.
I was up early this morning, but no work, so wanted breakfast! Resisted going to the shop for milk or yogurt to have with cereal and resisted taking some bread out of the freezer for toast! Instead I made an omelette. 😊
Got some jobs to do and will be pottering around for rest of morning to keep busy until I have to go out to dentist, so will just keep on drinks for rest of day until tea time. No plans yet for tea, need to go shopping really as not got a great deal.

Lynne, great to hear from you. I often think of you and wonder how you and the girls are getting on x

Mel, good plan for next 2 days, you can do it! Wednesday and Thursday sound great!

Dave, Heidi does eat well doesnt she 😁

HH, I can just imagine the boys in the baptism pool trying to get the plug!
As long as you enjoyed your indulgences, then great! Glad your visitors arrived this time and the cheesecake etc was shared around.
    Back to Keto now.

Nana, how did the FD go?

CW, what are you up to? Are you still running in this weather? I used to really struggle in the hot weather as my body overheats quite quickly when I exercise!

Minols, hope you manage to have a couple of less busy days before it picks up again!

We were forecasted some rain last night but didn’t get any. A few clouds around today and a couple of degrees cooler but still lovely out here today. May sit outside later for a read if I get enough jobs done!

Have a good day everyone x

One of my ex workmates passed away and it’s her funeral today, not going to it though, don’t like going to funerals.I may nip up to the bowling club later they are playing a match so I will see how good they are and judge how far I have to go to be level with them. Then it’s the gym later and HH we play the Witches tonight so a busy day and a fast day.

Keeping my eyes on here for good news on Steve.Hope all goes well.xx

    HI All

Jean – carrying on the ‘vigil’ for your Steve as you are no cdoubt int eh midst of things at the hospital just now.

Lynne – lovely to hear from you again. HOpe all is well with the girls, too.

HH – brought up in the Batist church and ‘done’ in a pool, too! Strange where life takes you…and brings you from. When I was ‘done’ a friend of mine who was Anglican wanted his to likewise be a full dunking, so they hired a skip, parked it in the car park, painted it white, the fire brigade filled it for them and he was duly immersed! Up here, I know of one church that goes out to the shores of Loch Lomond and soes their dunking ‘wild’! The church is a ‘many varied thing’!

Mel – I haven’t been to Clumber for 40 years…but every time I pass the junction with the boy on the way to my Mum’s he has to listen to my tales of days out there!

I’m on either ‘the wind down’ or the ‘tidy up’. We head north on Thursday and I’m officially off work for 2 whole weeks! There are a few things just to finish up, and more things to lay the groundwork for so that when I come back I can just step right in to make the most of the summer…but I think on balance, I’m more winding down…ie relaxing and getting ready to be completely relaxed!

Went for a run this morning – the end of ‘wk 6’ and the app had me doing 25mins solid running. Chuffed to bits, but sometimes I don’t get the massive leap forward. I suppose in a way, it’s more that they’ve taken out the walk between two runs…it’s just that that makes it one very long run! Still…chuffed to pieces. And now I’m off on my bike to do some visits, so that’s my halo shining…good job, because I was up late and eating popcorn at midnight. HOpefully the boy will forget that he had a bag stashed before he went on camp!

    Mx

    Afternoon All..

Steve has to go for another deeper biopsy next week, under a local. We have been told it’s cancer stage 1 and we have been given an McMillan oncology nurse for questions. Before the end of July an op, he will be in hospital 5 to 10 days depending how he is. Then two months recuperating. The biopsy is to make sure 100% it’s cancer, sometimes the PET scan showing a heat source in the area which would mean cancer, could be just inflammation in a very few cases, then it would be monitored.

We are fine knowing it can be cut away, feeling positive …Steve won’t be fasting this month…so I am on my own or with you all…I am fasting today.

Getting away for 4 days in the caravan tomorrow towards the Cleethorpes area some lovely walks for the boy on the farm.

Thanks for all the best wishes it’s much appreciated..

    Mel..
Your trip away to Nottingham sounds lovely, always nice to do something different..enjoy it all..😀

    Kay..
950 cals is still very good. Even with a few crisps..scales holding tight that’s the main..hope you get the jobs done and you can settle down and get to read..

    Minols..
You will be looking forward to your holiday as always so busy…get all your winding down and tidying up done…then you are already to go…well done on your running you are doing really well…..maybe keep us in your thoughts while away…

    Jean x

Oh Jean, that does sound positive. You must feel better at least knowing more where you stand. Good idea getting away from it all tomorrow. Lovely having the caravan and just taking off. Charlie will love it. Thanks for letting us all know. You are never on your own when fasting. That’s why I find this forum so helpful. It makes such a difference.

Jean it’s good you know the cause of Steve’s illness, and they can deal with it, catching it early is very good.Maybe you could stop fasting with Steve for a few weeks, you would soon lose the weight again.Whatever you do we are all behind you.

Jean- kind of okay news in that it can be treated? Glad that you have a plan in place at least…& definitely make the most of the chance to go away for a few days! Are they okay doing the op or do they want to see the results of the heart tests Steve’s been having, may need to prepare yourselves for that hiccup if the anaesthetist hears about tests…Go with the flow about fasting, there’ll be days when you don’t want to eat, & days where you really do! Will your daughter be able to help out as she’ll be off a bit in the summer? Thinking about Charlie when Steve’s in hospital, or is she not a doggy person? Big hugs to you both…
Dave- hope you get a bowls match in, & hope the Witches win tonight😉
Kay- other halves don’t help with the fasting! Hope you get to relax in the garden later! My visitors are coming tonight so cheesecake’s still here😕
Minols- a dip in a loch sounds much more appealing than a skip in the car park! The Church we went to went we had a static caravan dipped people in the sea at Lowestoft, warmer than the loch I guess?! Are you off to your holiday cabin? Enjoy winding down! The runnibg sounds brilliant though ⭐⭐
Mel- enjoy your days away, sounds good, but does play havoc on the fasting!
    Nana- how are you doing?
Had a good beach walk with Xena, she’s still not fully back to herself but is improving…looking skinny though, cooked sweet potato & chicken for her this morning, mixed in a few of her biscuits & she did eat them, yesterday she licked the biscuits clean & spat them out! Just heard about someone who’s dog had problems with a phantom pregnancy for 8 months!!

    Hi all

I’m with HH, Jean…cautious optimism – and you and the man will not be forgotten while we’re away.

We’re off to Kirkwall…the bit off the top of the map that’s not as far as Shetland and that is currently having unusually lovely weather! Essentially, it’s a bunch of windy flat rocks with the most amazing breadth of history from Skara Brae to Scapa Flow. I was there about 20 years ago, and I’ve been desperate to drag the boys up there…I just hope they love it as much as I do! It’s also home to my favourite jeweller – and a couple of other really good ones – so I may come back with some ‘bling’!

    Meanwhile, off for a pedicure!

    Mx

    Mel..
We all seem to have up and downs, I think we take it in turns 😂..it’s nice to have a moan, possibly all to do with weigh gain over the years to us all..at least we can clear it off our chest. We are a good group here, always here to help and listen..

    Dave..
See how I go but way of life now, with hiccups on the way ….

    Hedgehog..
The specialist knows what he’s having done with his heart it doesn’t seem a problem…get this biopsy out the way with the results and move to next step…we are fine…waiting in for our village dog walker and see if she can help out while we do hospital visits and my visiting, my other dog walker is too busy and recommended this one.

Goodness hoping Xena is soon her self and doesn’t follow the other dog…I can’t understand how dogs go around the dish and pick everything out and leave the biscuits!…there must be an art to it……enjoy the cheesecake tonight and all the visitors eat it up…by the way, biscuit recipe what temperature? I was looking at it last night.

    Minols..
You go to some empty places..it will be magic…I would enjoy it….Steve tells me ..it’s the Orkneys, are you taking midge spray, 550 miles from us….we wanted to do Scotland in September ( after the midges have gone), looks like it’s off for now ☹️, we will get the boy better.

    Jean x

I watched the bowling, but only the first four they are all a bit better than me,but then again I have only played twice a week for five or six weeks.I think with practice I could be as good as them.Done my hour of torture at the gym🥵So will take Heidi out again and then have tea, fast day easy so far just had three cups of tea.

    Hello Everyone,

Jean I’m in total admiration of the way you’re handling things at the moment and still continuing to fast. Enjoy your time away.

I’ve managed to have another fast day today so hopefully the scales will show a loss tomorrow – I’d be happy with just a small loss.

I’ve been to the Drs recently because of very bad pain in my left knee and was referred to hospital for an x Ray which showed up the early stages of Osteoarthritis and my Dr pointed out losing weight would help ease the pain and said she could refer me to Slimming World if I wanted but to me slimming club diets always make you think about food as good and bad. My Dr was pleased that I’d already lost two and a half stone since she’d last seen me as I like everyone else only go to see her when I have to and asked how I’d managed it so I said it was 5:2 and she said that was a better way to go.

Managed to exchange the husband’s shirt today for a larger size and yes I made him try it on as I didn’t want to have to go to Cambridge again as it was manic – lots of Tourist group tours everywhere. Apparently the Queen is visiting Cambridge tomorrow to officially open the New Papworth Heart Hospital which is now relocated from Papworth to the Addenbrookes hospital site.

Sorry for the long post and hope everyone has had a good day fasting or not.

    Nana x

Newbe from Hampshire – any help would be most appreciated. Started today with my first fast.

    Nana..
Glad you got the shirt changed, I just hate shopping…good luck on the scales tomorrow every bit helps…I have done every diet going I think this one is the best, I have been doing this ( second time around) nearly four years. We both lost 32 lbs in a year then Steve had new knees, we ate like again like our old ways and put it all back on…so this time it’s stopping off!!…about 7 lbs to loose..
It would be really good for you to loose the weight to help your knees, but you are on your way 😀

    Didan…
Welcome come and join us we are all in the same boat…we are a friendly group…shout if you need any help…keep coming on every day as it helps a lot with support..

Late walk for Charlie tonight, we waited in to meet the dog walker she was really lovely…so all sorted when we need her. May try her next week for his biopsy appointment. Fussy Charlie was over her like a rash.

    Jean x

Thanks Jean and glad the dog walker turned out to be nice and that Charlie liked her.

Welcome Didan I’ve only been on this forum a week but as Jean said the members are very friendly and welcoming.

    Nana x

Thanks, first fast day has gone well – still managed to do 0-5k tonight although it’s very hot out. Has anyone tried the HIT??

    Didan..
Glad the first FD went well, it takes a couple of weeks to get in the swing and it does get easier. Drink plenty of water which I don’t do enough of, to fill you up.

We are not fit enough for HIT but it is supposed to help a lot.

Which fast day is next for you, I will be doing a Thursday fast with weigh in Friday morning.. Mine has gone well today. We have just been out for a walk, down side of fields and out of the village on a public foot path far longer than we thought, the 45 mins ended more like 90 mins we are both shattered except Charlie the dog!…steps are well up 😀

    Jean x

Hi Didan and welcome, not got a clue what HIT is.Just got home from speedway, sorry HH the Aces won easily. It rained all through the meeting but managed a full 15 heats.Bowling tomorrow, weather permitting and booking a night out for Denise and I,it’s from the bowling club,a meal then entertainment a coach provided.

    Evening everyone

I’ve been keeping up with posts, and finally managed my first fast in months last week and am just drawing to a close on my second today.

Jean, the unknow is always difficult, a relief when a plan is in place. I hope I can be as supportive to you as you’ve been to me over the years.

Too much to comment on, but great everyone is still here and a few new faces as well.

I also started C25K in April, but the arthritis in my knees made it too painful to even walk after I completed week 4, so looking to take thing at a much easier pace and just trying to do one of the earlier week runs and some strengthening weekly.

Funny time at the moment, told I was at risk of redundancy, then about a month ago that I’m fine, at least for the time being. Very unsettled with a number of people leaving, including about 50 contractors.

Girls are fine. Bec has finished first year of 6th form, thinking of changing one of her courses but we’ll see after results. Hannah’s graduation is next week, she heard today she has a first. She also has a job, probably starting in September, based in SE Wales. She’ll probably be in one of the hospitals around where Steve’s daughter lives.

Exciting times, but a little tinge of sadness. Stocked up on tissues for next week’s ceremony and somehow I’m in a size 10 despite being over a stone heavier than holiday time last year.

Going to try and get back into a couple of fasts a week, it’s been easier than I anticipated.

REALLY going to try to pop by daily, so until tomorrow, take care.

    Lynne x

    Grrr…just lost my post!

    In short…

Jean, like someone else said things sounds cautiously optimistic. A caravan break sounds good.

Lynne, welcome back. Nice to hear you and the girls are doing ok and you a size 10!

Didan, welcome! Glad your first FD went ok.

Minols, 2 days winding down and tidying up. Your holiday destination sounds ideal!

HH, make sure the visitors eat the cheesecake up!

Mel, one more strict day before your night away, keep strong.

Dave, you will soon be up there with t0he best if you continue to practice for hours on end!

Nana, its refreshing to hear that your doc is on board with the 5:2!

Heres hoping its another sunny day tomorrow I didnt get to sit outside today. But I did get most of my jobs done.

    Kay x

    Morni g all.
Fd today – a load of coffee meetings to keep me bust till the boy comes home. Can’t wait to see him and desperate to hear how it’s gone.

Lynne – well done on Hannah’s first. Will feel weird seeing her graduate without Phil – what a credit to you both!

Didan – lovely to have you on here, and well done on your first Fd.

    Mx

    Morning all!
Jean- great that the dog walker is nice & that Charlie liked her, one problem sorted…If I was nearer I’d have offered, he’s so lovely! Glad that the doctors are on top of everything; Dad had weeks of delays when he was diagnosed with bowel cancer as there were concerns about his heart, lol they decided in the end ‘the cancer would kill him first’ so they’d go ahead with the op, a cheerful thought for Dad! Keep stong!
Minols- holiday sounds bliss, any room for another one😉. Hope your son’s had a good trip…
Lynne- well done to Hannah, a 1st!⭐ hard day for you at her graduation…will she be living at home when she starts her job? hope Bec’s gets her course sorted. Well done to you on the size 10!!
Kay- hope you get the chance to put your feet up…
Dave- glad the speedway was good for you! How are you doing now the chocolate diet has ended, are you okay?!
Didan- hi & welcome to you! Coming on here if you’re struggling on a FD is really helpful! I did lots og HIIT workouts last summer, really helped with weightloss, I just searched for beginners ones on youtube & found a few I liked…didn’t have time to keep it up when we got our puppy in September, not got back into it again 😠
Nana- good that you’re doing your bit to help your knees, & good your doc is helpful. About time they upgraded Papworth! Hope we don’t need to go though😉; hubby opted for St Thomas’s when he had a heart op, the waiting list was way shorter!
Mel- have a good FD, keep strong, lots of walking Jodie?!
    Cakey- hope you’re okay…
    Sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone…
Half the cheesecake left still, my uncle apparently doesn’t like it, who doesn’t like cheesecake??!! I can resist it, I think, may take some round for my nephews to be sure! That’s it for our socialising for a bit, 4 nights in a row…I want a night in front of the TV!
Xena was nervous of uncle, a shame as he loves dogs, she did take some food from him eventually. They take Mum back with them today, but no decorating Jean, don’t feel Xena should go to the doggy day care just yet, will see how she is now she’s finished her course. Seems to be getting randy at the moment, she keeps trying to hump other dogs, v. embarassing! Hopefully she’ll behave at training today!!

Good morning up bright and early today. Its a dull day so won’t get to hot bowling later. Not decided if it’s going to be another fast day today, will see how the day progresses.Very rare Denise is still in bed at this time of day so I will leave her alone.Saying that she is coming down the stairs now😁

    Morning All…
    Dull and looking like rain..

Who decided last minute to go away !!!….I usually like at least a days notice…really chasing about this morning…walk after my cuppa..away for 10am ish….

No wine packed but scales packed for Friday….

    Lynne..
25 k that’s a biggy maybe too much…lovely to see the girls settled and Hannah a ‘first’ brilliant you must be thrilled and a job too..hope it all goes well for her…does Bec know what she is wanting to do yet?

A size 10 that’s good news holding your own…better than us on here…strange up a stone but your body is happy….please keep popping by, you think how many people have passed by on the forum and wondering how they all are.

We are very positive here, as you say we have a plan now, taking it as it comes…thanks

    Kay…
Have a good day..hope you get in the garden..

    Hedgehog..
Enjoy your own company…lovely to have visitors but in short measures lol…welcome to the club of humping very embarrassing 😂…pass the cheesecake on shame we are not nearer…..thanks for the help offer, shame again..

    Dave..
Enjoy yor bowling later…hope the kettles boiling for Denise…

Must go hope we gave a signal…

    Jean x

    Morning Everyone

Jean hope you have a nice time away and I’m sure Charlie will have a lovely time – he certainly landed on his paws coming to live with you.

Well weigh in this morning has me down half a pound which I’m okay with – slow and steady will get me there eventually. I’m not trying to make excuses but I do think having an under active thyroid isn’t helping. Guess I’m a tortoise.

Hedgehogs I’m lucky that my Dr supports the 5:2 way of life – she also looked after my husband whilst going through his Prostate cancer treatment just hope she doesn’t leave anytime soon.

Dave good news on the speedway.

Hope everyone has a good day today – not sure what’s happening with my day yet !

    Nanax

When I had my heart attack I told them I was on the 5-2 diet and they said it had a good positive effect,so I stayed on it.Feeling very peckish now but even though I am going to Sainsbury’s now I won’t be having cobs🤐.Must find a replacement.

Just done a lengthy, rambling post then my iPad battery ran out and I lost it all. In a rush now so will just say a quick hello to everyone. Fasters go for it and Feasters don’t go mad. Stand away from the cobs, Dave.

Looks like Cornwall has the sunshine at the moment!
Weather station says 26 degrees already and not a cloud in the sky!

Had some carbs yesterday and today feel bloated…grrr

Going to try and resist eating til much later.

Have a good day all. Jean hope you are on your way now! Dave, stay away from the cobs. HH, be nice for your mum to be away for a bit, plus a break for you. Nana well done, slow is best. Mel, keep strong today, just think of tomorrow night. Lynne, are you still working from home on Wednesdays or has it changed? Minols, almost time to start countdown.

Now has anyone got long enough arms to stretch down here to help me put sun cream on my back 🤣

No suncream needed here unfortunately. But it’s not raining so that’s a plus.Didnt have the cobs 😇just had a sandwich and bought a Vegan cottage pie for tea(280) ISH calories,so it will be a low day.

    Hi Jean
My next fast is on Thursday too.
Not sure I’m ready for HIT yet but managed to do the 0-5k last night though.

    Afternoon All..
Arrived and all set up, the caravan is next to a lovely small wood with fence around so all safe for Charlie…. so the boy whined until we took him in, he just sat by the gate trying to stare it open, about 30 mins walk so quite nice..there are other longer walks too around the farmers fields.
The site is very well maintained and lovely…

Staying put today so going to sit and read…just started drizzling but no problem, very humid..

    Nana..
I like what you said about Charlie but I think Charlie has trained us very well 😂

Half a pound off all going in the right direction, so that’s good. I only usually manage 1 lb off if I am really trying…your poor hubby with prostrate cancer that must of been a worry too, Steve is having problems there too but not cancer, age thing…

    Dave..
Did you find anything to replace your cobs?..just noticed .vegan cottage pie ummmm don’t bother…

    Mel..
Poor you so frustrating to loose posts..

    Kay..
Oooh 26 degrees, we are warm but not that warm and drizzle ☹️..I wish I could help your cream..we have gone in the wrong direction…

    Didan..
At least you have a plan with the running…two days on the trot I have done just over 21,000 steps/movements..I do know about it lol…

Taken a call from my daughter in Houston now to my book…

    Jean x

If I did 21000 steps I would end up in hospital and Heidi would be no more.Sometimes she wants to turn around at the end of our street 😄.Just been for a soggy walk, Heidi loves being rubbed down with her towel 😀.

Managing my MFD (800) better today. Perhaps because I know tomorrow isn’t a FD. Didan, just the thought of HIT exhausts me. Also not sure what I would do on it. I thought of skipping but don’t think my knees would like the impact. So it’s just walking for me. 21,000 steps twice in a row is brilliant Jean. Getting Charlie was the best thing ever. Talking of dogs and humping, Jodie humps but only me and Paul and it is when she is really happy, ie after a really good day out together. Hence we call them Happy Humps. So much for the experts who say it is “dominance”. Jodie hasn’t a dominant bone in her body. We do cover some subjects on here! Hope everyone is well. Minols, I googled your holiday destination and it looks wonderful. You could have some good runs there. We love Scotland and try to go twice a year, but haven’t been up that far. Hope everyone has had a good day.

    Evening…
Jean- glad you’re settled; it sounds nice & glad there’s a safe place for Charlie to run…I think he’s got the lovely home he deserves too! Well done on the steps!
Dave- how’s the vegan meal? Can’t imagine you liking it!!
Kay- enjoy the weather down there! My eldest has just gone down your way for a week’s holiday with friends, don’t know where though, don’t think he does either; he just put the postcode in his satnav- youngsters!!
Mel-I like the idea of happy humps- it seems to be excitement quite often with Xena too.
Nana- good on the half pound down, better than nothing! Must be tough with a thyroid problem…
Didan- well done with starting the 0-5k!
Not a good day food wise for me, been picking & not healthy stuff! Stuck to keto, but wouldn’t want to count the cals!
Xena did pretty well at dog training, less well on our walks- recall less prompt now! We walk past a field with a bull in it on one of our walks, went that way tonight & I’m sure it was out the field! It’s only a flimsy fence…we turned round & went home very quickly!!😱luckily I already had Xena on the lead!

Denise is having home made cottage pie😋😋I had vegan cottage pie with lentils,I had two mouthfuls and threw it in the bin,so very low calorie 😄.Done 10000 steps today, way too many for my liking. If you weigh let’s say 10 stone then imagine carrying someone more than that on you shoulder’s you know why I don’t do it.

    Evening everyone,

Hope everyone has had a good day.

We ended up going to Wells-Next-The-Sea and I got to have my fish and chips and very nice they were to.

Jean sounds a nice place that your staying in.

Hedgehogs good idea to retreat from the bull.

Dave bad luck on your evening meal.

    Nanax

    Hedgehog..
A bit nervy with a bull in the field..don’t see many of them….our farm here is all cereal crops so no animals to bark at…only the two farm dogs …been in the wood for the third time, whined again thought he wanted the loo…he was running like a demented race horse goodness he had his playful head on, running with a 4’ dead branch..he ended at his gate sat to be clipped on and a biscuit …though I would have fun to be clipped on but he was good ..phew!..asleep now..

    Dave..
    A good low day then!…shame..

    Nana..
A good day out and Fish and chips..lovely…I am hoping for them on Friday…🤞

Less talk about fish and chips, your making me hungry.😞😞😞

    Evening everyone,

Nana, I’ve also got an underactive thyroid, and whilst weight loss isn’t impossible, it’s certainly a challenge. 5:2 and optimum medication (supportive GP) have really helped me.

Hedgehog, a bull in a field is not something you want to investigate too closely and definitely a reason for a sharp exit.

Jean, the site sounds lovely. A nice impromptu break, just you and your ‘boys’.

Dave, you’ve done really well with both the weight loss and exercise. I assume bowls is a seasonal activity, is there a winter alternative?

Kay, you seem to be getting the best of the weather, hope things pick up here for the weekend.

Mel, the perils of the battery running out on devices. A catastrophe when a phone ‘dies’ away from home, how ever did we manage before smart devices.

Didan, well done on starting C25K. If you’re using the app, which coach are you listening to?

Minols, hope everything is coming together for your break, 2 whole weeks away, how will they manage without you. You deserve to have a fabulous time.

Cakey, I’m in awe of your Park Run, week 4 nearly killed me!

Good FD yesterday, home tomorrow and just doing a couple of hours work, so will need to find a way to keep myself occupied so I don’t raid fridge/cupboards. Hoping to do another FD on Thursday and at least thinking of a liquid fast. Not done one of those since last summer, something to think about.

    Take care

    Lynne x

Lynne they are talking about a winter green,so will have to wait and see.

    Morning all.
The boy is home and all is right in my world. He’s pretty brilliant. He was the only one there wh hadn’t gone with a friend but he wasn’t phased, palled about with everyone, I don’t think he even thought of being homesick or sorry for himself. Just had a blast. Of course, he’s not giving me enough detail… There may well have been moments of mood (probably if he felt the ref was blind in a a match!) but his memory is that the 4 days were ‘great’… So I’m chuffed.

Off for a run in the rain… My first wet run, remarkably.

    Mx
