  • I like Sheffield very much.Always a pleasure to go there.May go early and have a look around.Brilliant weather here too.Nice birthday present Jean.

Jean- what a lovely birthday present! I know what you mean about the airports, we had trouble going through to Canada! I’m sure you’ll be fine, there’ll be someone to ask…or I could come with you?!! Hope you have a good meal & hope your sis is being okay!
Dave- hope you’ve had a good day too…have diet coke instead of a pint!!
Did my Church prayer thing again today, we gave out small eggs but lots of people refused, so they started to melt!
Spent time playing with Xena outside but a bit too hot for her, gave her water in a potting tray to play with. Popped in to see mum again- my aunt’s staying but mum still wants extra company!
Not been a good day for me foodwise!

Can’t have beer, I’m driving,so not a problem. The whopper is though. In Yorkshire again so Jean will stamp my passport 😁. Watching Canada play USA in ice hockey at Sheffield arena.

    Morning/ night all!
Up with Xena- she’d been sick in her crate so had to clean her & bedding up, she wouldn’t settle after that…a lovely early start! 😱 no chance of being sensible foodwise today either, tiredness always saps my willpower.
Happy Easter everyone, & a very happy birthday to you, Jean! 💐👏🍷🎂

    Morning All..
A very early call from Charlie at 6 am.. I am sure he only needs toilet as he knows he then come on our bed.. it’s a bit early.. needs nipping in the bud..

A lovely meal and gifts last night, a lovely surprise as William joined us, with his tonsil op he is still in a lot of pain and and no talking, I really appreciated that. A lazy day today.. all is going well with sister..

    Hedgehog..
I hope Xena is feeling better this morning and it soon passes, it’s a worry… any reason why?.. an earlier start than me..hard going fasting so early, hope you got back to sleep even downstairs..
Thank you for my birthday wishes..feeling old at 70.. definitely a big one this time.

    Dave..
Passport stamped hope the game was a good one..

    Happy Easter to everyone ..
    Jean x

Happy birthday Jean, thanks for stamping my passport 😁.I hope Xena is much better now.It was a nightmare coming home from Sheffield last night,we got onto Woodhead pass and just before Tintwhistle a lorry must of jackknifed and blocked the road off completely, there was lots of blue flashing lights from police fire brigade and ambulance,I got out of my car after 15 minutes and walked up to see what was happening,it was cordoned off and I heard a voice from above,no it wasn’t God but a farmer who said turn the car round and go back a few miles, there is a turn off for Glossop,so did that and had to cross a reservoir,it was pitch black but got home eventually.Happy Easter everyone.Eggs to eat now so no fast day.🐣🥚🐰

Dave-glad you found another way home! Police never seem to close roads & do proper diversions these days, just leave people stuck for hours! Enjoy your eggs!
Jean- hope you’re having a good day & being spoilt! Shame Charlie woke you so early!
Came back from Church to find Xena still smells- she must’ve laid in it last night, but I cleaned her up then, yukky dog! Gave her a better wash outside, hope that does the trick! Feelibg very tired now, can’t be bothered to make the Easter cake I was going to do, but still have to cook roast chicken for them all. 😣

    Happy Birthday Jean x
Sounds like you had a lovely time with family yesterday. And great that you are off to Houston to see your daughter! You’ll be fine.

Dave, glad you got back safely, could have been a nightmare!
    Enjoy your easter eggs!

HH, hope Xena is better now. Any idea what caused it?
Hard when you have an unscheduled early start.

Been bad busy here, working every day apart from today. I think Ive probably been overdoing it as I had a bit of a wobble and anxiety episode yesterday but feel better today.

Baked Easter biscuits this morning. No easter eggs but I do have a bowl of a few packs of different mini eggs etc, so we do have something 😂

Eating badly at the moment. Just going to go with it today and tomorrow and then get back on track Tuesday.

Walking Billy at 2ish but its very hot so Im going to just do a short one and then sit in beer garden for half an hour as the local pub is open this afternoon, which it isnt normally.
Otherwise going to make the most of the gorgeous weather and sit outside.

We have decided to look for another rescue dog. I miss Ellie so much and miss the company so another furry companion may help. It has to be the right one for us though, so it may take a while, which is fine.

Enjoy your weekend everyone, whatever you are doing x

Got plenty of chocolate now😋😋😋😋😋 so can’t wait to scoff it😋😋😋. Speedway twice tomorrow, Belle Vue at 12pm then leave to go to Wolverhampton about 3pm.Heidi is really slowing down now, spend most of the time asleep then walks behind me,don’t think she will be around this time next year but hope she is.

Happy Easter Day and happiest of Birthdays to you Jean – I can think of no nicer present than a trip to Houston for you.

We’ve had a lovely family weekend and jownim officially shattered. Even managed to squeeze in Run 8 this morning before the breakfast and dinner cooking marathon. No one has room for tea.

Hope Xena sorted Hh, we had to wash our woof down with the hose after a dip in a mucky stream. He wasn’t impressed with the hose, says he prefers a nice warm bath. Although didn’t stop him going back in a lake we stumbled across on this evenings walk.

Hope today’s been calm for you Kay and you’ve been able to banish the anxiety.

Hope also you’ve finally got your feet up Minols after a very busy week.

Another nice day of weather before it changes. We’ve been so lucky this weekend. Not planning too much tomorrow, maybe another day in the garden. I went a bit mad with the loppers on Friday and now have some gaps to fill. H likes shrubs but they’ve all grown too big for my liking. I’m busy hacking them down and replacing with cottage garden flowering plants.

    CW

    Evening!
Kay- sorry that you’ve had a busy & difficult time…lovely news that you feel ready to start looking for another dog. Are there local rescue centres, easy to look with the internet though…
Cakey- you’ve done well fitting in gardening & running with all the catering! Have a nice day in the garden tomorrow!
Dave- big hugs to Heidi, I know you treasure her. Enjoy the eggs & speedway tomorrow!
    Jean- hope today’s been special…
Dinner was late- my oven is packing up! Think it’s maybe the motor for the fan, it’s making horrible noises & not getting up to temp. The second oven didn’t seem to heat up enough either. At least we can eat salad’s now it’ll stay warm!
Xena is fine, probably something iffy found & eaten in the garden! Hope we don’t get woken early again…
I’ve eaten lots today- ready for starting the 800cals diet tomorrow! Is the Fast800 the same as the Blood sugar diet MM has done?

Morning all! Thankfully Xena was fine last night, so slept til 6am, been out for an early morning walk & now had 1st cuppa, no food until tonight probably- nice to have something to look forward to as usually Monday is a liquid FD! Nothing planned, will enjoy some time in the garden with the lovely weather!
    Have a good day everyone!

    Morning All..
A lovely day for a Grandsons 18th birthday buffet.. sitting outside a bit..only a short visit as Charlie isn’t invited!…feel guilty on such a lovely day the boy could of come he’s very good.

I have had a lovely birthday and weekend…then taking sis home and the packing to start, I won’t be taking many clothes..

    Kay..
Hope you are feeling better today and it’s lovely to start thinking of a new dog, Ellie wouldn’t mind at all, she would want you both to be happy again…beer garden sounds good, we had a drink in our local pub with Charlie last night…only socialising and under training 😂..getting into your bad habits…😀

    Dave..
What a nightmare driving back, the last thing you wanted…enjoy your eggs..I felt sick last night after ours, just not used to chocolate..

    Hedgehog..
Glad Xena is better, you was out very early for your morning walk..I have just been out for ours he stared at me that much, I had to leave posting…so lovely the weather just right for walking….

    Cakey..
A good family get together is always nice..and you managed a run….with sis here she talks non stop no chance to get on the tablet…a bit wary of travelling it’s a long time since I have, hoping I manage 😬
Enjoy your garden day, with wine I hope 😀

    Minols..
Hoping you haven’t worked too hard and you have managed some relaxing time..

    Have a lovely day everyone..

    Jean x

Dave- hope your speedway is good today!
Jean- hope grandson’s birthday went well! In my experience dogs & buffets don’t go well together, too much temptation, even for well behaved ones! Hope Charlie was okay at home…
Minols- is your son back to school tomorrow- they are round here? If so, back to normal for you!
Kay- hope Billy is behaving for you, is he walking any further?
Cakey- have the family gone home now?
Just about to have a salad, looking forward to it!

    Evening All…
Grandsons buffet went well such a beautiful day..sat in the garden..about 30 people…Charlie was fine went barmy when we got home, very lively tonight full on…

    Hedgehog..
My sister is loosing the plot terribly..is there any medication for dementia ..or do you ride it until you have to go to the doctor…I don’t know whether to speak to her son about it, she lives with him but does he see it?..she still drives a bit, it’s a worry.

Finish packing tomorrow..fasting on hold for the week for both of us..

    Jean x

HH another leathering at speedway 🙄😮😜,at least it’s on 90 miles this time.Could be stuck in car park for a while.

    Morning all!
Dave- shame about the speedway result again! Hope it didn’t take too long to get home!
What did you find to drink when you did the fast800? I cut down on tea/ coffee on FDs usually, but drink quite a few cuppas on nonFDs, but this’ll be for 2 weeks!
Jean- shame about your sister- there are drugs which can help slow dementia a bit, but they don’t work for everyone. We haven’t dared have that talk with Mum yet, as she’s still so wobbly about Dad. Your nephew might be relieved if you have a chat with him, he must notice. The first step is a memory test with her GP, then if that’s not good they get referred to a memory clinic where they do a longer memory test, & if that shows a problem then they do a CT scan to see any changes in the brain. With FIL I think it took nearly 6months to get the results & get him on medication- he didn’t improve, but equally didn’t seem to get too much worse, which I think is all the drugs do. A dilemma for you, how old is your sis?
Hope everyone is okay? Cloudy here, sun has gone…just eating the same as yesterday for me.

    Morning All..
Trousers back on a cloudy cooler day..Charlie’s walk then I will have to get some summer clothes out..Katie lives in The Woodlands, just outside Houston… there’s Shopping Malls and cafes apparently 😀..more up market than Louisiana..may need more than shorts, so I will take extra tidy clothes in case …my 7 lbs on is making a lot of difference in my clothes, I am in them but just…drastic action on my return…I do not want to buy larger sizes…!!

    Hedgehog..
Thanks for your advice..I think I will leave it for a few months and see how she goes..her son is off work with depression so I will give him time to get better….sister is 76 this year, these last few years she doesn’t listen, talks on top of you, non stop talking…we have thought it’s been developing but she is quite bad..I thought I was snapping a few times on the repeating of things, driving me crackers and Steve..I must have more patience, it is so hard work, at one stage she asked if I was going for a shower, I was walking out of the door with Charlie with harness and lead on.. …at the party she was even worse, I was explaining who was who, again and again…she sounds worse than your mum…or maybe not.

Hoping for a light food day today and might fast when travelling tomorrow or light day..foods terrible is on flight. Good luck on your next two weeks if you can mange with the keto too…

    Dave..
Hope you got home quick without much hassle..

    Jean x

Happy packing, Jean! Sounds like a good idea to leave the talk with your nephew for a bit…mum has spells where she’s bad, other days better, I don’t mind the repeating things, what I find hard is her worry with money- she’s got plenty to manage on but fusses over bills & gets stressed about it, she has more to manage on than we do, but no matter how many times I explain it, it doesn’t go in! Joy!!

HI all – meant to be on first thing, but got to the office and it was all go!

Jean – what a wonderful suprise present! HH has offered to help you through the airport…but I think you probably need us all – couldn’t we have a group outing to make sure you get to Houston safely?!

Just made porridge to keep me going – need to stop soon and run and do domestic things (including a trip tot he charity shop while I’m in the car) Today is the day I take over the boy’s piano lesson slot – he really did want to learn (it was my obseesion that he should try!) so I’m going to take it over! My mum always said when I gave up at 12 that I’d regret it and I really do! So I’m going to take over the lesson and try it until the summer, see if I can fit in the practiceing and get it back into my life as a hobby / relaxation for myself! Of course, I’m refusing to take a ‘hidden slot’ during my working day, so the boy will have to sit there and listen quietly for 30 mins while I have my lesson…passive agressive of me? I think so! Maybe next week I’ll make him cycle to the lesson as well – the phrase ‘serve him right’ comes to mind! But you never know, he might enjoy it…

    Mx

HH just drank tea with skimmed milk, only 16 calories per cup,and also. Coke zero.I got home just before midnight so pretty quick journey.Denise bought a large Easter egg so I was not going to miss out and got one too🙄🙄🙄. Staying well away from scales.May get weighed when I return from Lanzarote, only 9 days until I go🤩🤩🤩.

    Hi All..
Almost packed but not weighed…planning to meet daughter at Starbucks or SIL not sure…clashes with end of school..

    Minols..
Yes it would be nice to take a group, crash out on her floor plenty of room…lovely the return to the piano lessons hope it goes well…you can then do it in church…

    Dave..
Enjoy your holiday, come back nice and relaxed…I will be back before you go…only 8 days girl me…miss my boys…

    Hedgehog..
Sis is always grumbling about money..she has far more money than us and now she has moved in with son, she only buys her own food he pays all the bills!..see how she goes..

    Jean x

Safe travels Jean, hope you have a lovely trip.

Wonderful idea Minols re piano. I gave up about the same age in my teens and would love to take it up again.

Joining in with the dementia debate. I worry about my mum. She is going downhill so much but my dad covers for her so I don’t think we often see the extent of it. He won’t let us mention it as he doesn’t want her upset and we can’t get her to the doctors without his help or his blessing. Every week there is a new fixation like the money situation Hh with your mum. And I’ve noticed she is finding excuses to retreat from all social activities eg WI, keep fit, church etc that she has always been heavily involved in. I’ve come to the conclusion the kindest thing for both of them is just to be there and be supportive, pretending nothing is wrong and just going with the same conversations over and over. I’m sure something will come to a head at some point but in the meantime we are just being kind. It’s heartbreaking and feels disloyal/patronising to my bright, fun, articulate mum as she used to be. She a MENSA member and can do crosswords and word puzzles in a instant but can’t remember what she had for lunch.

Had Easter Egg today, on the other hand it made me feel quite sick and I haven’t fancied anything else. I’ve managed to freeze some of the leftover food and persuaded H to take cakes to work to limit the damage. Just need to hide the chocolate or better still get H to hide it somewhere I don’t know and ration it.

Lovely decision on a rescue dog Kay. I hope you find Just the right one for you. We had a rescue collie before our GR. We got him when he was 7 and he was the nicest dog you could ever meet. He was much loved.

Early night, not sure why I’m tired – I’ve just had 4 lovely days off with the clan.

    CW

    Evening!
Jean- I’m sure that you’ll be fine, you’ve been over so many times with Steve you know the ropes! Hope Steve & Charlie enjoy some boy time!
Minols- haha, poor son sitting through your lessons! Enjoy it, hope you get time to practice…
Cakey- if you’ve been cooking for lots of people all weekend it’s not surprising you’re tired! Sorry about your mum, a shame your dad won’t talk about things, but I guess it’s perhaps not worth upsetting her…the medication doesn’t work for that many people & can have side effects, so it’s not like she’s missing out on treatment…very hard for us though 😞
    Kay- hope you’re okay?
Managed okay under 800cals! Xena has kept me busy, lots of training instead of walks!

    Morning all!
Early start- youngest has overtime so was doing the early shift, he was out at 5.30, so took Xena out then. May have breakfast soon.
    Safe journey, Jean!
Hope everyone has a good day!

    Morning All..
A very early up 4.30.. sat having a latte all through.. first stage done..
Charlie is very upset from the start of packing yesterday and I packed his breakfast, leads and dishes etc.. what is he thinking is he being dropped off somewhere again and left.. like he was when his previous owner went in hospital.. poor love..sorry to leave my two boys..

I am getting excited to see grandchildren, daughter and new house, and my other boy Maxi, biscuits in my pocket 😂

    Cakey
It such a worry on your mum..and my sister, again like you said, not wanting to go anywhere and in a shell, money worries which she hasn’t got, I suppose she has been like it for 3 years just getting a lot worse now..

Still back to chocolate get it all hid, I hide it from Steve it doesn’t bother me.. strange I like it there, it’s comforting..

    Hedgehog..
Lovely to get more training in, when can she walk out again? Charlie is doing really well I am very pleased with him, no naughty head for at least three weeks 😁

Speak again later different strange times I will try and keep up with you all…

    Jean x

Xena’s all nervy again today, jumping up & barking at everything, won’t play or concentrate on training 😞 lasts for 3 weeks roughly, so over halfwat through…had a small breakfast so won’t have lunch today, going to have some diet coke as you suggested Dave!
Jean- hope Charlie’s okay, enjoy your flight! Will be very exciting to see the new house!

Make sure it’s Coke Zero, not diet coke,Zero tastes 10 times better.Didnt get to bed until 3am, hockey,my team are out now,so may get to bed earlier.

Dave- I’ve never tried the coke zero, I love the diet cherry coke though.
Just waiting for my dinner now- it’s taking forever to cook in the stupid oven. Getting a repair man out on Friday, hope he can fix it!
All quiet today, hope everyone is okay?!

Feeling hungrier tonight…& hubby has opened some left over Christmas chocolates! 😣

    Evening All..
A good flight but long one.. I lasted till 9 pm and now crashing out.. been awake for 23 hours..

    Hedgehog..
Hope Xena has settled down it is a shame for them, she won’t know what’s happening.. Charlie has been on the settee waiting for me watching out the window, he’s not eating..Maxi very excited to see me..he is smaller than Charlie I think..

Hope you can get the oven fixed cheaply..

    Dave..
    Shame on your team ..

    Night night everyone
    Jean x

    Morning all!
Jean-glad you got there safely! Is the house lovely? Hope Charlie is okay, Steve will have to feed him some goodies!
    Dave- early night for you?
Not a good start to the day- Xena was awake at 5am, so already been out with her…then went on the site I moderate, & we have a problem on there! A doctor in the US who is not fit to practice keeps getting people to join our site to pose as patients who rave about him, to encourage others to go & see him; hopefully nipped it in the bud early this time, we had alot of problems a couple of years ago with him!
Hopefully seeing my Homestart family today & shopping this afternoon.

Morning all (although I’m not sure you’re up yet, Jean? Not good with timezones)

Lovely and bright here after an early shower – the world looks freshly washed! Cleaning an office cupboard this morning and making ready for some new shelves to try and better organise my tiny office, then out to the vacant parish I oversee just now, to move them along with some of their stuff – it’s hard for them, but they’re working away at things.

Today is lots of porridge and maybe a little bit of fish and rice tonight before a business-y meeting. Had a quiet day yesterday – reflection group and a massage, so feeling a bit more the thing!

CW – hard with your Mum and Dad…had something similar with MIL…although never allowed close enough to really help. And her sons were not great / close enough to do much either. We have a lady here who has been the backbone of this place…we’re really encouraging her husband to keep brining her along – we love her, listen to the same stories, encourage her to help with what she wants to do, but distract her whenever she starts noticing the things that she used to do and fretting that she’s forgotten to do them. It gives her husband a bit of a break, and the thinking is on giving pleasure in the immediate moment even if she won’t remember a thing about it, if she’s happy in this minute it’s better than not being! There’s some really interesting ideas around ‘ubuntu’ – a person’s value lying in the shared memory of the community rather than in the old ‘I think, therefore I am’ idea that I’ve been mulling over a lot…helps to fight the despair that arises when we can no longer ‘think’ – helps to counter the idea that someone is no longer ‘there’ if their mind is beginning to wander off!

Anyway…that’s a bit deep for first thing when I’m only half way down my coffee cup, so I’d better get to this cupbaord!

    Mx

    Morning All..
Jet lag.. awake at 3 am pushed on till 4 am decided to read then ring Steve.. just showered SIL left at 5am a busy time for him he has Ukrainians here for the last two weeks so very busy..

The family will be getting up soon for school, at 6 am ( still on old times) first to go out at 7.30.. Walking Max then.

Max was over me like a rash, after him being in the garden, he acted as if I had just arrived again 😂

All worries of the airport were fine unbelievably I was through, collected cases and out in 30 mins expected at least 90 mins.. so all good remembered a lot from last time.

    Hedgehog..
Charlie missing me and not eating..heard my voice ears pricked up but ignoring me! Otherwise all good..

House and garden are lovely, some decorating to do ( not her colour)and change the fire place (a bit strange unbalanced).. all left beautifully clean. A lady and builder have been with suggestions, coming back with prices. It needs scaffold up to paint it’s so high. So very large, glad I am not cleaning!

    Minols..
Always lovely thoughts on seeing difficult problems..makes us see them in a different way..

Very busy on an early start, cupboards cleaned.. the world looks freshly washed after rain, sounds like a Hemmy’s saying ..so nice.

Morning light is just arriving here, birds singing, I think I will find the tea to make a cuppa.. still all quiet.. no idea what’s planned.. Ikea was mentioned more cupboards for toys and teddies.. I think charity shop would be a good idea for some!! No chance.. Charlotte has opened the moving boxes as if Christmas all over again, kissing each one as they have arrived out 😂.. funny onion.

    Speak later

    Jean x

Your 7 hours behind us Jean, the heavens opened yesterday and we had lightning,I just watched the derby match, didn’t want another heart attack.Going to the park for exercise class now, first time I have done this.Denise is going to have her hair done ready for our holibobs.A week today when we go.How do you have leftover Christmas chocolate in April, I am lucky to have any by new year’s Day.Still got one egg to eat so fast days have gone until I get back from holiday.

It’s bouncing down again, gone very dark.I did my exercising in the park, not as long as the indoor session but more challenging, started with Nordic walking to warm up then various apparatus, air walking, then sat down pressing feet on what looks like a see saw to lift up,then step ups and various things using one stick to stretch and support.Saturday all being well I am going to try crown green bowling, that will make me feel stiff the next day 🤪😵

Love the idea of outside exercise class, Dave, but air walking? You’ve got my imagination going with that one!
    Mx

It’s what she called it,it’s a bit like a cross trainer, you hold on to a bar,put your feet into two plates and walk fast while holding on to the bar.My big hoof’s were overhanging the plates.😁.

    Hi all…
Jean- the house sounds hard work! So sweet of Charlotte being excited over her toys!
Minols- very deep thinking indeed, but I love the idea of the shared memory! I mentioned it before to Cakey, the book Contented Dementia is very good.
Dave- we have an outdoor gym in one of the parks near us, don’t get round to going very often…hope you’re not too stiff tomorrow. The bowling should be good too. Hope Denise likes her hair!
It is not lucky to have leftover chocolate when you’re trying to avoid it!!
Homestart family were fine, the twins enjoyed the music group. Shopping hard work- youngest was bored before he went to work so he came along; thought it was highly amusing to put a plastic bag over my head while I was picking out veggies!
Talking of dementia, Mum has decided that she wants to empty one of the sheds as she doesn’t need 2…but is going to replace it with another one?!! Hubby has said he’s not getting involved in taking it down…she’ll probably take an axe to it herself she’s so stubborn!
Looking forward to veggie bacon & eggs soon!

What is veggie bacon and eggs?I never have chocolate left over for more than a couple of days. Will see the last chocolate egg off tonight.

Thunder and lightning – wasn’t expecting that. Woof for the shock of his life, poor thing.

I was very taken with the contented dementia theories Hh – there’s so much to be said for not trying to fight it but taking each day as it comes. Thank you for your thoughts too Minols, I think Dad tries to do it a lot so she’s not excluded from the conversation. He feeds her sentences like … ‘we had a lovely piece of salmon for tea didn’t we’ or….’we had a lovely run to the coast and walk along the front yesterday didn’t we’. Mum then picks up the thread. Whereas if I asked wha they had done yesterday she wouldn’t have been able to answer. It’s such a kind and gentle way of supporting her.

Well done on the outside exercise Dave. Bowls sounds fun too.

My motivation for couch to 5k has deserted me this week. I am feeling so tired. I’ve been in bed before 9 every night, sometimes nearer 8. It’s not a natural tiredness that I’d get from a busy day. Don’t know what’s the matter with me, don’t feel like I’m sickening for something as I’m not I’ll – maybe more time of life symptoms. I seem to be able to attribute everything to that just now.

My Christmas (or Easter) chocolate doesn’t last long. I’d i know it’s there I can’t ignore it. My daughter has been telling me about Hunger Directed Eating. I’ve looked it up and it makes sense – it’s about giving your hunger a score out of 10 and using that to determine what to eat. My trouble was I’d convince myself I was ravenous if I wanted a Fredo.

Feeling guilty for not doing more on a night after work, nothing life changing just stuff like housework/ironing but tiredness getting the better of me this week. I need to be kinder to myself – I don’t need to feel guilty for putting my feet up on an evening. I think my H is always busy and that fuels my guilt.

Charlotte cute as can be, she’s only been without her toys for a few days. How lovely that you get to see them often even though they are so far away. Poor Charlie missing his mum.

    CW

Dave- I eat quorn bacon, rest of the family have real bacon, although eldest sometimes has the quorn one. It was lovely, & had a low carb/ low calorie ice cream to finish off…that’s me done now!

I have the holiday feeling so weight will be piling on😞😖😟,I like Quorn chicken but that’s the only thing I like. Got some ice cream 360 calories per tub😮🤤🤤🤤

    Afternoon All..
Very hot here today.. lovely this morning took the dog to a dog play park, so jealous.. lovely and clean, water bowls and paddling pools for the dogs to go in, a lovely covered area to sit and chat, a lovely welcoming group of people.

Then paint charts and wall paint pots to try out this afternoon.. looks like she knows what she wants..looking ok.. found some shopping malls, outside cafes and water fountains for the children to play in, we will be heading back another day, only 10 mins away..a really lovely area, everything like a Tesco shop and fuel garages, are hidden discretely in the trees you can’t see them.

    Dave..
I have a few things left over from Christmas and now Easter eggs ( they won’t last)..I like to eat proper things what I know what they are….keep fit class sounded interesting like to be a fly on the wall 😂

    Only 6 hours behind you.

    Cakey..
Hope you soon feel yourself .. you do a lot and maybe too busy..relax and rest up your body is telling you something..

You can’t be a fly on the wall,it’s in a park😁. Munching an egg now🥚.Knee is aching so rubbed some arnica gel on it.I will be busy if I do exercising on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday plus bowls if I get into it.That will make my back ache.

    Morning all!
Jean- sounds lovely there, the dog parks sound good in the US. Enjoy shopping!
Dave- go steady, you’ll put back on what you lost before your holiday! 😂
Back to lovely weather here…such a shame we can’t take Xena to the beach!
Hopefully getting oven fixed! And a Homestart meeting lunchtime, will have to walk past the fish & chip shop & the bakery 😢

Morning all – up way too early today…2.30. Couldn’t get back to sleep until 5 mins before the boy woke up! Typical!
Sounds like your daughter has moved to a lovely place, Jean – and you’re getting to know it quickly, too. Are you just away a week? Steve surviving without you?
Arnica is a wonderful thing, Dave…hope it’s enough!
    Catch you all later.

I don’t feel as bad as I expected, hoping to try the crown green bowling tomorrow,I know I will put a lot of weight back on especially on holiday, but I have the knowledge that I can do the 800 for a week. I will try to do alternate 800 weeks when I get home from holiday.Plus I will be exercising three times a week also.

Minols-poor you…I feel for you having trouble sleeping, big hug for you…
Dave- doing alternate weeks 800cals sounds like a good idea when you get home! I’m hoping to last 2 weeks, although we go away for a few days in 3 weeks, I’d love to do it until then…probably won’t have the willpower for that!
Fan oven fixed, it was the motor 👍…only when I was wiping the other oven over before he came, I noticed the inside glass door had shattered! We heard a bang in the night, hubby thinks it went then, although I have an idea I might have done it when I moved the shelves about & shut the door a bit hard 😱, keeping quiet about that!
