    Morning All..
    A dreary day here..

Hair colour this morning and hopefully cut Steves hair…scarecrow springs to mind…lol..nothing much else planned up to now…

    Hedgehog..
You made us really think this morning…but Monday and Tuesday fasts this week…a very low day today…daughter is busy those days I may see her through the week so safer sticking to plan…you did jolt us but thanks…

Enjoy Whitstable, your few days away….just make the most of it food wise…..it’s hard….my holidays are throwing spanner’s in the works too….it’s lovely you can leave the boys and they are getting to fend for them selves…making them interdependent..

    Dave…
Enjoy your roast beef..it sounds lovely…none for us I am afraid. Eaten too much food lately…packing for the off again, a quick turn around…😀

    Kay..
    Thinking of you…

    Hemmy…
    Having everyone over this weekend…enjoy…

    Pseu..
Are you getting on your walks this weekend or just a quiet one…

    Minols..
    A busy bee today…have a relax later…

    Jean x

    Morning all!

    Everyone is off on holidays!

No walks for me, weather is too grim. It’s definitely taken a cold turn, I’ve had to get the guinea pig back in from her hutch in the garden, it’s too cold for her to be outside now.

Don’t know what’s wrong with me the last two days – can’t seem to stop eating! I always have days like that every few weeks, but then I also get a few days where I hardly eat anything so I’m not stressing too much, I think they cancel each other out.

Jean, the boat trip sounds lovely! Where are you off to this week?

HH, how long are you off to Whitstable for?

    Dave, enjoy your roast.

    Hope everyone is well!

please can someone give a link or advise where this pdf file is as mentioned in the audio book? i am starting to think it does not exist.

    thanks,

Don’t know if anyone has got the audio book on here.

Pseudo- sorry you’re not having holidays too- must seem like ages ago since you had your week off.(We’re only away for a couple of nights) How much holiday time do you get from work? If you have days where you don’t eat & days when you eat lots, I wouldn’t worry- I never get days when I don’t feel that hungry!

Just making the Yorkshire pudding,😋😋😋, watching united on TV,just watched City.

I get the legal minimum, so twenty days plus bank holidays… but since I’m the only one working for the business most days time off is easier said than done – I’m pretty sure I’ll need my remaining days once my course starts so that I can have a bit of R&R around studying all my free time.
Can’t remember the last time I actually went anywhere, years and years ago. Part of that is money and part is down to being single, I’m not interested in going on holiday on my own, I’d just be bored. I could do with a good buddy who likes walking to go on adventures with.

    Evening All…
A funny old day…doing odd jobs…putting the Dyson back together after it’s wash..scaling the kettle…scaling my shower heads…updating the computer on excel my caravan holidays, listing the sites and dates away ..update my excel on house painting, listing colours and dates…sad I suppose…lol..just like to be organised.

Started to finish my Family Tree book ..proof read a chapter….that really must get finished, leaving it out and try and get some done tomorrow…

Then Steve had a cut bleeding on his arm onto the settee took me 1 1/2 hours to get it out, really hard this time…all wet now hope it’s gone when it’s dry…

    Pseu..
I think it’s getting cold, changed my duvet yesterday…shame you can’t find a walk buddy it’s really hard I know..I struggled at about 18 when friends started with boyfriends..I was on my own a bit…

I think you should tell your brother 25 days holiday is the normal holidays these days..!!!

    Hedgehog..
Enjoy your holiday next week…are you all ready…..nothing happening here more doc appointments lol…two lots of blood for Steve tomorrow doctors then hospital…two arms full 😂..thinking about starting painting again..

    Dave..
Hope you enjoyed your lovely dinner…I can smell it….I am slavering…..

    Anyone fasting tomorrow with us??

    Jean x

    Jean,

I finish reading DR. Mosley’s The Fast Diet book only today.

I am planning to start tomorrow to loose my pregnancy weight (2 st). I am not an exercise person like HIT but I am planning to do walking (10000 steps). I will join with you to encourage each other.

    Hi all,
Thanks for all your thoughts xx
    Still no baby :-O
Funeral on hold but potentially Sept 13th in Cheltenham.
All less acute now, just very sad.

Trying to get my eating back under control!!
Today I finished on about 850 cals,so a low day. Tomorrow I intend to either fast all day and have a healthy tea or at least another low day.
Hmmm….wonder if I could several 800 cal days, after all, thats what MMs blood sugar diet was based on….

Everyone sounds ok…will try and keep up again now x

Jean – the holidays, unfortunately he doesn’t care what’s normal, I had to argue to get what was legal.

I’m so frustrated, I decided to try to start the car this evening to make sure it was fine to avoid faff in the morning (it needed jump-starting again last Monday). And guess what, it’s dead again. I tried to jump-start it with the portable jump-starter, it won’t do anything, refusing to turn over. So now I have a dead car, a jump-starter that won’t jump start, and a really busy day expected tomorrow which means I have to be in the office. The only way I can get in at a decent time is to get up hideously early, get a taxi to the train station, a train to where I work and then walk about a mile. And then ditto it all to get back home.

I’m with the RAC but not with home start, so I’ll have to ring them tomorrow, get that added, and then wait a day or two before calling them out – it’s a fair bit just get it added onto my existing cover, but if you do it when you’re already broken down it costs a fortune. Then I’ll have to take it to an auto-electrician and god knows how much that’s going to cost.

I always wake up half an hour before my alarm, which means I was up at half 4. 🙁

I’m joining the fasters today. I weighed myself this morning, the first time in a long while .. I am so depressed that weight has crept on, it really isn’t fair how it takes so long to lose, but yet goes back on at lightening speed 🙁 Anyway, fasting today and moving more .. hopefully it will shift again soon. I’m glad I don’t have as much to lose as I did when I first started this, but still .. I’ve got my work cut out again!

    Morning All…

Mediocre sort of day…bloods for Steve this morning, he is going to ask the nurse if she can take both bloods or it will be a trip to the hospital, it’s not far…and a bit of shopping…

Is many of us fasting today?

    Mprmani..
Welcome, there’s usually a few of us fasting today….pop by for a chat and support…I try and get my 10,000 steps in a day it used to be 4000 ish quite poor, so much better now…weight is more the food you eat, walking and excerise more for health benefit and I think toning…

    Kay..
Good idea the 800 cals but more restrictive depends how you are following it…I am very stable and not moving at all..after my two three week holidays, last year and this, I put on after each one although lost some, gained a bit and it’s held..it’s disappointing…

Let’s get this weight moving…but it’s hard for you at the moment…

    Pseu..
It’s a pain your car and sounds a bit of money involved…it looks like something is shorting and taking your battery, Steve said…you need a multi metre to go on the battery to show what is causing the voltage leak, you take each fuse out till it shows, have you no handy man what could help?..good luck…

Goodness that was an early start…

    DF..
Welcome back…I know were you are coming from as it’s hapoened to us..that’s why I am staying put on here for the long haul…it’s come off before and it comes off again…😀

It’s harder as we are all getting older…

    Hedgehog…
No you this morning…are you travelling today??…have a good time…

    Jean x

    Ps..
The blood has come out of the settee..drying nicely….a hard one this time….😀

Off to Somerset tomorrow, again,so more weight Will be going on,only two nights this time though.Speedway tonight,we race against Leicester and hopefully will meet a Leicester fan I was talking to when I was at their track earlier this year, and funnily enough we will be watching Leicester against Somerset on Wednesday.I will start the fasting on Monday next week and go on the weigh in once a month.

I was planning to fast but the folks are going to come back to do a bit more fiddling with the car so looks like it’ll be postponed for a day or two. I have food that needs using up so might be for the best to do it later in the week. My dad is a retired mechanic so he’s done the basics… I think it needs an auto-electrician to do some more in depth investigating.

DF, it’s a nightmare isn’t it, you briefly take your eye off the ball and before you know it the weight is creeping back!

I hope the nurse can do both of Steve’s blood drawings. Bleeding on the sofa… you’ll have to get him one of those snuggie blankets so he’s contained!

    HI all

Love the sound of everyone’s weekend – especially your boating trip, Jean, and your gson’s excitement with the van. Good for him!

Pseu – not liking the sound (or lack of) of your car. It’s such a nuisance when it’s so vital to getting to work and a decent start on the day. You’ve started way too early to have a FD today, but knowing you, you’ll still keep it low. Good luck with an auto-electirican…my OH refuses to touch electrics. If it’s not mechanical it’s witch-craft!

Dave – hopefully quick on, quick off, but you’ll need to watch it in Somerset!

Kay – continuing to remember your nephew’s family. Learning to walk with this sadness will feel un-remitting just now, but in truth, we can learn to bear it – but it does change us and the ‘way we walk’. Hard days just now, though.

Trying a FD today, so I think I’ll pop along to the kitchen and have some Bovril.

    Catch you all later.

    Mx

    Dave…
Enjoy your break and hope you can find your friend at speedway….

    Pseu…
Steve got both bloods done at the doctors..which he was pleased about…glad your dads coming he will possibly know what the problem with the car and can and sort it…..🤞

    Minols..
Have a good day enjoy your bovril…I keep forgetting about that but I would have oxo…lol

Lunch time so off out now so no eating….pork salad this evening…seems a long way off yet. Lol

    Jean x

    Good afternoon FB Brits…Xx

The weather is still holding well here … very warm with plenty of sunshine.

Well … decided I will be doing a Fast this week… Wednesday… a very mindful day today will eat like Mum.. Lol

Had a very naughty week-end .. drank too much Malbec.. got the taste for it last week at my friends birthday treat.

Ate a big bag of crisp’s and a good amount of crackers and cheese. So glad I didnt have any chocolate in the house. Lol

Cant remember the last time I did that… back to my cider today.

Good luck all the fasters everyone else be mindful unless on holiday then enjoy. Xx

Brit lovelies …Failure will never overtake us if our determination to succeed is strong enough. Xx

Hemmy, I’ve missed your positive quotes 🙂 I really need plenty of them lol!

I’m so disappointed that I’ve gained weight. On a positive though, I have quit smoking .. perhaps that’s explains some of the weight gain. I don’t know .. but it can’t continue!

Been for a walk this lunchtime, very humid and I’m struggling a bit now. I think I definitely need to get some OXO/Bovril for my FD’s .. note to self 🙂

My evening meal seems SO far away at the moment … 🙁

    Hi All…
Been shopping and not much else planned…work on the computer or cross stitch??…lazy day whichever…

    Hemmy…
Throwing a FD in unusual for you…just a pull back we all need sometimes…I think I am finding fasting harder through the summer…too many naughties and drinks about…

    DF..
Enjoy your lunch time walk…have you not been doing those….I must start again….I was going to have an oxo but a coffee has appeared lol..

    Mprmani…
How are you doing?? It gets easier after a couple of weeks…keep strong….

A long afternoon ….back too soon from shopping…

    Keep strong..

    Jean..x

Someone mentioned sunshine???!!! Nothing here…muggy and drizzly.

Pseu…car problems sound grim. Hope you managed to get into work today ok. And dont worry, no holidays here either..lol

Jean, glad that Steve didnt have to go over to hospital for 2nd blood test.

DF, join the club! We all need to get back into the proper way of life for eating.
Ive been comfort eating and drinking too much.

Minols, thanks for those words…you are quite right, its a learning stage of how to live with it at the moment. Poor Emma, his wife, its her birthday today and I couldnt bring myself to wish her ‘happy’ birthday as such. 1 week gone already.
Come on baby we need you to appear!

We have come out for afternoon and we were going to walk down to beach but the sea mist has come in so we are marooned in the pub for a little while!
Luckily I only had yogurt and bran earlier!

Hi everyone else, sorry not to mention you individually!

    Kay x

    Hi all

Cold here, so followed my Bovril with a bowl of porridge – obviously will be eating very simply this evening. Should still be under, though.

Hemmy – I heard a great ‘Hemmy-like’ quote yesterday that I’ve been mulling ever since. I think it might be Winnie the Pooh – ‘if you want to get somewhere you have to start by leaving where you are’. I struggle with leaving behind the life choices/habits that have got me where I am!

    Mx

    Evening All…
Pork salad for this evening..went down quite well…as we were finishing we said what are we having tomorrow..lol

A computer afternoon…book finished except for last read through it’s on a PDF now ..hope it’s right…I have a workable copy…read through tomorrow…and finalise the front cover…

    Kay…
All dull here all day but washing has dried….at the cancer specialist next week to see if he’s still holding tight…he had that terrible bleed a while ago hope it’s not upset the balance….

Does Emma know the sex of her baby…it will keep her busy…it’s so very sad….

Shame on the sea mist, we often get it along our coast…pub sounds good…are you fasting today?

    Minols…
Hope you are all ok and not too cold…..

Keep strong everyone ….how are you all going??

    We are fine…

    Jean x

    All done here.

Popped in on a very frail elderly lady on my way home. She’s holding out on going in to the hospital, but I fear she will have to give in soon – poor love. She had a cup of coffee and a melting moment in front of her – decided it would be unethical to steal a bite of the melting moment!

We’re in the midst of a lot of sadness up here at the moment – so many people facing real difficulties. I’m off to do a wedding visit tonight that should cheer my heart – and because they’ve both worked really hard to shift weight before the big day, I know I won’t be offered anything tempting!

I’ll need to steal the man-mobile, though, as my wee car is having a little bit of tinkering done to it. Still, it’ll give me the chance to moan about how it’s more gadget than car when I come back…nice to have a safe, non-serious thing to moan about!

    Mx

Pseudo- so frustrating for you not getting your car sorted properly, & a horrible start to the week. Shame on the holiday too, I had a spell like that early twenties, like Jean said. I guess group walking holidays would be good but you’ve probably got more important things to spend your money on now!
Kay- thinking of you, & your poor neice-in-law. I don’t imagine she’d want to even think about her birthday. What do you say? (I did MM 800cals diet before; it did work well, but hard to stick to for long. & if you do stay on it for long, I think you’re in danger of lowering your metabolism, so it’ll all go on again!)
Jean- hope Steve’s blood results are okay. Is he on anti-coagulants? It’s all a worry. Hope your FD goes okay- did Steve not feel the need for some extra calories after giving blood?!
Minols- must be hard for you to keep strong for everyone else when you have difficult times with your parishioners, hope the wedding prep helps. Hope that hubby can get your car running nicely!
Hemmy- naughty old you! It’ll come off quick!
DF- good to nip it in the bud before any gain gets daunting again, keep strong!
    Dave- have a good trip!
Whistable is quaint, & we stopped at Canterbury on the way as the journey was really good- not often you can say that about the M25! Weather’s been good, almost got too hot for the hot tub! Lunch was healthy, went downhill with icecream on the beach, & chocolate later too… oh well, only a couple of days!

Was it on here that one of you was allergy tested?

Morning all, quiet here this morning, unless posts are just taking a while to show up again.

FD for me, though yesterday I only had a salad so not too awful. The jump-starter worked on the car last night, and Dad showed me how to disconnect the battery so when I reconnected it this morning it still had enough juice to start. He checked a few things, but it’s nothing obvious, definitely needs an electrical specialist.

I made chicken stock last night, so might just have a cup of that as a soup for dinner. Waiting for my print to be delivered today, hope it doesn’t have too big a border on it since I have to add a fair size mount to get it to fit the frame, quite excited to see it.

What’s everyone else up to today?

    Morning All..
    Lovely breakfast after a FD…always nice…

Nothing much planned, a bit of computer work…………thinking of attacking the next bedroom, getting itchy fingers, new poles and curtains needed, I have the paint already..a bit of a spruce with new headboards and a chest of drawers price depending….

    Minols…
You have a very up and down life with laughter and tears, it must pull at your heart strings in all directions….can you keep calm it must be really hard…hope you don’t take it home with you..

    Hedgehog…
Have a lovely break..weathers still good I hope to get you into the hot tub ….sounds lovely…..we have not done Canterbury just passed through, one for the list….ice cream on the beach and chocolate, my sort of thing..lol..I am too distracted….line drawn when back…you have to have a break off sometimes it makes you stronger…what are you doing today??…does Whitstable have a railway down the cliff side?

Steve takes aspirin, it makes him bleed very bad, it stops his blood getting too sticky?? Stopping getting strokes part of his complaint…a pin pick could take 4 hours to stop..a bigger cut it’s like slaughtering him 😂..no leeway on FD don’t lead him on..lol

    Pseu..
Someone did do an allergy test..maybe someone who left?? Nor sure….did your dad sort your car out last night??

Just seen your next post…so getting your car to an electrical engineer it needs sorting you can’t keep getting let down…travelling on public transport sounds a nightmare for you…… hope it’s not too expensive….hope your print looks good when it arrives..we were pleased with ours..

    Jean x

    Hedgehog..
I hope you get in the hot tub….got mixed up 😂
    X

    Morning all.

Need to write up last night’s wedding notes before I get them confused with another couple. Very chatty bride, but lovely straightforward people. Poor as anything but they’ve been determined paying up everything as they go.

Then a meeting – one of the ones that justifies my husband’s critique of my job as simply having coffee with friends! This time it’s my old boss from 25 years ago, who’s now also a colleague, and really is a friend. So we get to be rude to each other about old time, talk seriously about work issues and care about each other’s family…all over coffee and cake – can’t beat that!

So a quick stab at creating a questionnaire for something else before I go and then a moderately sized piece of marble cake that has my name on it.

    Mx

    Mmm cake.

Big delays again on M6,not left yet, think I will drive to Stoke and then pick up the M 6.Denise has made sandwiches, said she is not paying services prices 😁 even though I pay😀.

Feeling pretty hungry today. Also pretty tired.

Worked out well, got on motorway at Newcastle under Lyme, missed all the traffic, big queues going the opposite way 😁, weather lovely here in Somerset.Booked an evening meal for 8pm.Sat in the beer garden in the sun but behaving, not having anything to drink 😂😂😂

    Afternoon All…
Lovely here sunny and too humid…

Busy day got a few things done..managed to get a silver curtain pole, ordered curtains as they never had my size in delivered at home Monday…a long mirror….cheap glasses for distance for Steve..

Seeing my daughter tomorrow taking me to afternoon tea at a local hotel…did you tell her Hemmy that I have never done that…lol…I bought her a biscuit barrel and a box to keep packets of biscuits in for school…she was saying her old head never offered anything to visitors..she has bought new mugs, coffee machines, water jugs, dishes for fruit for her meetings also new things for her staff room too…

    Dave..
I can’t believe you are not having a pint..sun and garden…😂..enjoy your meal..

    Minols..
Enjoy your meeting with your friend…seems like a lot of cake about….

    Pseu..
    How are you doing?

    Hedgehog..
What have you been up to …a nice meal tonight..

Hemmy, Kay, DF, Lynne…what are you all up to??

I cooked an Indian tonight fancied one for a while…absolutely delicious…can’t have Indian without wine 😬..worth every calorie…dips as starters and Buttered Chicken..just like we had in Delhi…

    Stuffed and relaxing…😂

    Jean x

I slept most of the evening, I think I’m still catching up on my sleep after the 2 hours I got Sunday night. Have been a bit hungrier than usual today, since starting keto I don’t find fasting very hard, it’s more just trying to figure out what to do with the spare time I would be using cooking and eating!
I boiled up the bones from the roast chicken I had to make stock, and I’ve had a couple of cups of that for today’s dinner. No idea how many calories are in it, there is quite a bit of fat floating on top when it’s in the fridge, but since it’s mostly water I can’t see it being too high.
I did just have a bit of an interesting chemical reaction in the kitchen – I put a mug of stock in a pyrex jug and put it in the microwave to heat up, I think I overestimated how long it would need because when I got it out it was boiling. I decided to add some salt, since I didn’t season it beforehand, I tipped in the salt and got a geyser of boiling hot stock all over by work surface! No idea what caused that to happen.

    Morning All…
A dull day hoping it improves seems warm…

Up and showered early…off to daughters in a hour or so…Steves had no sleep with aches and pains so looks like he’s not going out on the motorbike, he had his treasure hunt mapped out for five hours ride…he said he may go out for a small ride…he’s not so good but not saying much to me about it….

    Pseu…
You was up late …hoping you start getting your sleep too…you are a pair together….strange on your chicken soup boiling over, I am not scientific so can’t help…

We are fasting tomorrow but it will be a maintaining week I think…When the cold weather starts it will help us better to stay on track…but we are ok…painting will be starting soon…..burn a few calories..

    Jean x

Morning all, my second FD today. It’s true how something salty can help keep cravings/hunger away, that soup did wonders.
Yet another cold wet day here. The car is running for now, so at least I don’t need to be out in it. I might start getting the train regularly on Fridays though once I start my course – Friday traffic is always a nightmare, I’m often stuck for over an hour trying to get home when it usually takes half that. If I get the train I can be back faster and also claw back that commuting time to use to read my textbooks. Won’t bother on other days though, driving is just easier.
Got my print, a bit disappointed. The colours are all off, it has a green tinge that I find really off-putting. I hope it’ll be okay when I get used to it but it’s such a shame. I also think it’s a bit blurry because it’s been blown up to a bigger size – as an illustrator I wouldn’t have sent it to a customer. I’m too British to complain though… it’s the way the colours are off that bugs me the most. I want to put it into Photoshop and sort it out, only a case of pressing about two buttons.

Jean, are the doctors going to try another injection with Steve? Or is there anything else that might help? The Indian sounds lovely, I make curry a lot but I think I need to branch out and try a few new ones.

Hope everyone is well. Anyone else fasting today or am I alone with the baton?

    Good morning FB Brits Xx

Very warm here no sunshine as yet … hopefully later.

Pseu… what a shame you are not seeing much of the sun… it is so uplifting… nights drawing in now though.

I am fasting today also .. Just my milky coffee … I am pleased to say the week-end gain had gone completely this morning.

What a shame about your print… so disappointing after you had so looked forward to it. Maybe you should go against the norm and return it pointing out the reasons your not delighted… Maybe they need to be told.

Like you I never complain but have recently decided I must when needed…

    Enjoy your day. Xx

Sym… it must be a worry for you when Steve is on his bike alone… It is hard for men when they are in pain .. especially if they have been very active… don’t like to be seen to give in.

Have a good time with your daughter ..is it working or just chilling … Enjoy the time. Xx

Hope everyone else is doing ok… I am looking into the no sugar thing .. have been reading about the energy peeps have after giving it up.

On my alone days I eat quite a few ready meals.. never used to at all .. lots of sugar in them… I don’t take sugar in drinks so a good start.

    Brit lovelies…
Things happen to you to make you realize your true potential, strength, will power, and heart. You’ve got to have faith. Xx

    Hi all,

Quick update from me .. quite a lot of stress happening at home with one thing and another, always something to worry about 🙁

I’ll be attempting another FD tomorrow, I have some Bovril now which will help .. I did struggle Monday!

Sorry this is brief, must dash. Good luck Hemmy, Pseu and anyone else fasting today ..

Jean, I’ve started walking again now .. I had got a tad lazy though. Trying to make the effort 🙂

Have a great day everyone xx

    Hello all
Hope you don’t mind me dropping in! It’s been so good following you all and I would like to rejoin you with my small gain, if you don’t mind. I have put on 3 lbs despite being at target weekly for a long time. It has to go because we all know where it can lead so today is my first fast day for some time!! I have been following 2 meals a day 12 pm and 5 pm but recently had a carb fest with breakfast!!
I lost count of how long it took me to lose my surplus so I shall look it up.
Hope you all have a great day fasting or not.
    Bev x

Hi Bev 🙂 I’ve just recently returned too! Welcome back .. good luck with your FD today, tomorrow for me. Monday was a bit hard .. stay focused and you’ll be fine x

Good morning to all from across the pond. You all sound like you’re having your issues, but maintaining your FS.
I really quite enjoy the 5:2 way of life and have lost 12 Canadian pounds since July 8/18.
For now I’m sticking to the book when it comes to my Monday & Thursday but down the road I’d like some other 600 cal menu plans.
Is there information regarding my interests, available?
    The Canuck 🐻

    Afternoon All…
I have had a lovely day with my daughter..we went out for a long walk with her and the dog in Humber Bridge Country Park…strange I have never been…dropped the dog off then we went to the hotel for our afternoon tea..oh it was so nice..reserved table all white tablecloth and napkins, lots of lovely food with tea…I have started my fast Now into tomorrow…lol…I am stuffed…

    Pseu..
Steve has had blood tests and going for an MRI scan to see what the problem is…it’s been 5 months now with pain killers..it just masks what’s wrong…he has had a lazy day feels off colour with the pain…

Shame the prints are a bit off..sometimes if blown up a lot it sends the pixels off, not that I know much about it…

    Hemmy..
Your weight comes on then off quickly..that’s good..mine not so good….I have a App on my phone to see where Steve is…I knew he had stopped at home…he looks a bit off…it is a worry when he is on his bike, I make it too heavy for him to have two on….at the moment..

Sorry on the stress ..hope it calms down soon… I must start my walking maybe after the decorating…

Had a good day out in Taunton and Bridgwater, speedway later if the rain stays away. Not getting on the scales until the end of the month 😁😁😁

Just had my mug of stock/soup, filled me up for now but not sure if it’ll last, I might have to try to hunt down something low cal, but low cal and low carb is not easy.
They’re resurfacing my street tomorrow (it’ll take four working days apparently, stupid to spread it over a bank holiday) and have put letters through everyone’s doors telling them to park elsewhere. Easier said than done!
    This week is dragging.

Afternoon all! read through all the posts, lots going on!
Pseudo- it was Lynne I think who had the allergy tests- she was allergic to parrots! Are you going to disconnect the car battery every night, that should stop it draining then hopefully, even if you never find the problem!
Dave- glad you had a good journey & hope it stays sunny…
Jean- afternoon tea sounds lovely, & the walk beforehand. Poor Steve- I was thinking about how good the hot tub is for aches & pains last night- maybe you should invest in one?
DF- hope the stresses sort themselves out…
Hemmy- definitely energy levels are better without the highs & lows with sugar. I’ve found a few meals which are so quick & easy to do for me, & healthy!
Minols- nice to be part of planning a wedding, definitely wouldn’t be good to get the couples muddled up! Glad you had a friend & cake meeting too…
Beverly- Hi & welcome! I’m sort of maintaining too- just had a few short breaks over the last couple of months which are messing it up!!
JB- hi to you in Canada too!
We had a lovely day yesterday exploring the area, good weather, abandoned the keto! Had a really good journey back this morning- the M25 was closed just after we needed to get off, so were expecting massive tailbacks & thought we’d have to get off it early, but there were none! Lots of washing done, clearing up after the boys- not too bad, they’d put their plates in the dishwasher but for some reason not other dishes & saucepans! (I’d left spag bol for them to heat up so they didn’t really have to do any cooking!) Now we have about 10 days at home before our last little trip- need to get cracking with the cupcake decorations- I’d ordered a mould from amazon, didn’t realise it was coming from China! So it won’t be here in time, luckily it was really cheap, & I found one in a shop while we’re away, so can start tomorrow. And more importantly, get back to fasting!
Hope everyone fasting today is staying strong!

Alas, I have given in. I worked out it’s still been about 39 hours though, so it’ll have to do. This evening I’m back to how I was on the weekend, just wanting to eat everything in sight.

I’m not disconnecting the battery every night, luckily it seems able to hold up for a night fine, but I will be disconnecting it on Friday nights if I’m not going anywhere on Saturday.
