  • Morning everyone πŸ™‚ Back at work today, and fasting! Hope its easier than Monday was .. I think I was a bit off that day.

My day away from work yesterday was wonderful .. dad is doing great, on the mend, and my son and I went for a Chinese Buffet at lunchtime (very naughty, but it was a NFD). Surprisingly I found I couldn’t actually manage too much to eat, stomach definitely must be shrinking, so at the end of the day I hadn’t overdone it πŸ™‚

Did a workout before work this morning, and feeling strong so far.

Hope everyones doing great πŸ™‚ Need to catch up on posts now.

    Have a good day x

    Morning all

I am still here reading all your posts lurking in the background lol.

The plasterer is fuel this morning, the joiner at lunchtime then the new units arrive this afternoon!

Don’t think I have a sink tonight! But will manage OK I am sure, I will post again tomorrow.

Jean hope you get home safe not sound and have had a lovely holiday…

Love to you all, keep in touch, together we are stronger

    Audrey xx

Good morning F B Brits… hope all is well with you and yours. Xx

Looks like a lovely sunny morning.. yay it will help the spring bulbs along.

Off shopping today .. picking up a few new accessories for my newly painted bedroom.

Aud.. hope the kitchen work goes well today. Xx

Sym and Steve Safe journey. Xx

So pleased Ellie is improving. Xx

Haven’t caught up yet… well done to any losers. Hope everyone has a nice day whether Non or Fasting.

Brit lovelies ..β€œSuccess never comes to look for you while you wait around. You’ve got to get up and work at it to make your dreams come true. Xx

    Morning all!

FD today and back to work after 2 days off doing very very little. Dropped my boy off this morning and he’s with his Dad until Sunday so I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do with myself for the next 3 nights!

Been so lazy that I woke up this morning and had nothing to take to work with me for lunch – so grateful for my soup maker, 22 mins later & I was sorted lol, I do love a gadget.

Looking like a nice day out there today, hope you all have a fab day! Clare x

    Morning All…

We are home and back with you…weather better here than I thought…good flight and we are both a bit tired.

Audrey ….pleased the kitchen is coming together they seem as if the jobs all moving forward..

Angela….just throwing a thought in….it’s a bit different for us..( not three).. before we get up on any morning, we always discuss what plans we have for the day…what Steve wants to do, what I want to do …we try and do both, its give and take…..or what we would maybe like to do what we haven’t done together for a while…a walk, gardening, motorbike ride with picnic, clothes shopping, cinema, lunch out, house things, ride to coast….it’s unfair to do football every weekend even on the TV!

DF…lovely everything went well with Dad and son…

Hemmy….new things for your bedroom, bet it looks lovely getting ready for the Spring …looks like we will be painting soon but downstairs..

Clare…. lovely to have ‘you’ time, make the most of it……enjoy your three days..

Sarah…you seem to be on track and focused..

Kay…good news Ellie’s sore is improving and maybe avoiding the vet..

I shall have a look on the scales on Tuesday let it balance out a bit..lol

    Jean x

Ive just found a Hemmy type quote which I think is really good:

Its never too late to start over. If you werent happy with yesterday, try something different today. Dont stay stuck, do better!

And Im just reminding myself of the benefits of fasting, to keep me on track today!
So bear with me today, as I talk aloud throughout the day πŸ™‚
The 5:2 isnt just about reducing calories, its how and why we do it. I think I need to remind myself of this.

β€’ Give the body a rest from the regular onslaught of food. Instead of directing energy to the digestive system, fasting frees up energy for healing and recouperation. Cells tissues and organs can be repaired and detoxed, with foreign toxins and natural metabolic wastes being eliminated. Biologically our bodies aren’t designed to run on optimum whilst constantly feeding it.

So when we fast, we are letting our bodies do its housework!!

Hi Jean, glad you are back safe and sound. I like your idea of asking my hubby what he’d like to do in the mornings, but I have to confess that usually when I ask I’m met with a grunt! πŸ˜‚ I can’t complain, I’m equally as rubbish in the mornings.

Kay, I confess I’ve never read into the 5:2 diet and all of it’s benefits. I chose to try it because I didn’t want to start a diet which was too restrictive with my work commitments, and my love of socialising. I saw it as “I can manage 2 days a week…” It’s interesting to read the other benefits it could bring.
    How’s Ellie?

Well, I think my poor little Marmite has gone blind now. She’s back to the vets tomorrow as taking her off the medication didn’t improve anything. Her pupils are permanently dilated which could be high blood pressure. just coincidental it happened when she went on the meds, or the stress of the vet visit caused her retinas to blow 😒 I’ll see what they say tomorrow. She can still find her food, litter tray etc after a bumpy walkabout. xx

Ooh great excitement here the kitchen units have arrived!… it’s all becoming very real now…

Ready to fast again now fed up of eating sandwiches and takeaway…

    Aud x

Kay…love the quote…and a reminder of what our body is doing when fasting…you seem in a positive mood.πŸ˜€

Angela…poor Marmite…good job she can smell her food and litter tray…see what the vet says…

    Audrey…me too ready for fasting..πŸ˜‚..you sound excited..πŸ˜€

Hemmy…we have had a re think on decorating downstairs it can wait another year..it’s still quite good….decided on hall and stairs later in the year!!

Is Louise back off her break….or have I missed her?…how is she doing..

    Jean x

    Hi all

Audrey it will soon be done.

    Angela so sorry about marmite.

Kay good for all of us to have a reminder.

Jean and Steve welcome home, hope the scales aren’t too bad on Tuesday.

Well note to self, don’t go food shopping when hungry on a fast day, I now have 3 different breads in the house, guess what I am having for breakfast tomorrow, ah breakfast how I have missed you.😊

Just out of curiosity I thought I would check my blood sugar levels after 3days fasting, my dad has a finger prick tester “thing”, so it was down at 4.5, which I think is quite low, but not as low as I thought it could be, will be interested to maybe do it mid-weekend and see the difference.

Weigh day tomorrow, I have had a really good week and haven’t really struggled at all, keep thinking I won’t of lost anything because I haven’t suffered!!, how bad is that mind set πŸ˜ƒ.

    See you tomorrow x

    Tammy…good luck for tomorrow’s weigh in…hope it’s a good one if you have had 3 FD’s it’s a good week….πŸ˜€

Just finished the last two cookies each with a cuppa…we feel very upside down with food with the jet lag..feel hungry and sickly..we have had three hours sleep so maybe a ham sandwich later…

Very on board for tomorrow thinking on what we are eating..small portions..NO SUGAR!…lol…apparently on the waggon as well…NO ALCOHOL only if out with friends for lunch which is rare…

It’s very quiet on here where is everybody…

    Jean x

    Hi everyone

On a FD today and struggling a bit as Oh cooks something for himself which smells wonderful.

Kay, thank you for that post. It was just what I needed to read at this moment in time.

Jean, glad you are back on terra firma safe and sound amd raring to go. If you can put of decorating for a year or two that is brilliant. No one needs the hassle.

Audrey, I sense your excitement. How lovely it is all taking shape.

Angela, sorry about marmite. i can imagine it all feels very hard.

Tammy, good luck tomorrow amd well done for not struggling. You have really adapted to this WOL.

Claire enjoy your few days peace and quiet.

DF, Pasha, Hemmy and anyone else I have missed, hope you are ok and staying strong if fasting.

Right off to deal with some chick peas which have been cooking in the crockpot, going to portion and freeze. Need a peg on my nose to stop myself rampaging through husband’s dinner. It smell like a pork chop…woe is me…I need to remember Kay’s quote! Xx

Ps Tammy will be very interested to hear about changes to blood sugar levels. Exciting….

    Hi all

Been lurking a bit today, and just reading email updates.

Tammy, hope the scales co-operate in the morning, I’m sure you’ll be fine after 3 FD.

Angela, our old cat went blind, but it didn’t stop her going out and about, though she did tend to walk into door frames and had a few kidney problems in the end. Give Marmite as cuddle from me.

Kay, glad you’re feeling more yourself and that Ellie seems to be responding to the antibiotics.

Jean & Steve, lovely to have you back home. Going on holiday is great, but there really is no place like home.

Sarah, hope you’re managing to hold strong and haven’t stolen OH food.

Clare, relax and enjoy doing the free time.

DF, hope the fasting is going well, not log to go now.

Audrey, you’ll have your kitchen back soon and it will be beautiful. I really loved putting everything back when we had ours done and deciding where to put things.

Hemmy, hope you’ve had a successful shopping trip.

So, weighed this morning, and in my first month I’ve lost 13.9lb. Damn scales, couldn’t they have just gone 0.1lb lower just this once. Anyway it’s nearly a stone with a bit of rounding. Still got 25lb to get to a healthy BMI, but this seems possible now.

FD for me tomorrow. Just wanted to thank you all for your support. I’m not sure I could do it without you all.

    Lynne x

    Lynne….

    That’s amazing a stone in the month fantastic going…dam the 0.1….it’s a stone!!! πŸ˜€

You must feel great with that…well done…Audrey big dance please…

    Jean x

    Lynne..

CONGRATULATIONS. ..well done to you…I am dancing a bit slowly because my back is aching but I am doing a dance just for you…

Thanks for all your support ladies much appreciated. .. the kitchen is full of boxes now… good news though I can’t see the dirty floor anymore… Hehe LOL

    Back tomorrow

    Audrey x

Wow Lynne… a stone in the month… Well done to you. Xx So thrilled for you. Your hard work was worth all the effort. Onwards and downwards.

Sym .. lovely to see you both back. Just ease your way back into 5-2. Xx

Aud … Bet your back is aching. Lots of your energy went into the preparations. Beautiful kitchen here you come. Xx

Angela.. Poor Marmite .. hope all goes well at the vets tomorrow. Xx

Kay.. Like the fact while fasting are bodies are doing their house work. Lol Will keep that saying by me. lol Xx

Sarah .. hope you managed to overlook those lovely kitchen smell from OH dinner. Xx

Tammy.. good luck with the scales tomorrow. Xx

BSB … whatever you do the next 3 nights don’t EAT… Lolol Ohh or drink Xx

D F… hope todays fast was better for you than Monday. Xx

Fast day tomoz for me… anyone else.

Hope everyone else ok. Sleep tight don’t let the bedbugs bite. Lol Xx

It’s been a long day! I’m used to an empty house on a weekend but somehow a weekday seems so different, coming home from work tonight was rubbish with a whole night ahead with no plans and feeling hungry. Anyway FD done and now I’m heading to bed away from temptation.

    Night all. Clare x

Well Ive finished my FD on 300 cals, so feel ok with that but dont hold out much hope for the weigh in tomorrow as it was still up this morning!

Lynne, well done! Thats a stone in my book πŸ˜‰

Jean and Steve, glad to have you back and hope you get over the jet lag quickly.

Audrey, exciting times, it wont be long before it starts looking like a kitchen again!

Angela, poor marmite πŸ™ see what the vet says tomorrow…

Sarah, glad you got through your FD πŸ™‚

Tammy, enjoy your bread in the morning.

Clare, hopefully you have some things planned for the next few days.

Hemmy, good luck with your fd tomorrow, remember your body needs chance to do its housework πŸ˜‰

Im not sure Ellie is out of the woods yet as Ive noticed more red patches on her skin….Im so disheartened.
Also Neil is suffering from some skin reaction, as he has a red blotchy rash on his face and head…..no idea whats causing it. His eye is quite puffy from the swelling, hopefully it will be better in the morning. It started yesterday.

Doing a bit more reading on intermittant fasting to take my mind of things. Another benefit is…….

β€’ Potential to lower our growth hormone levels, which are responsible for, as well as growth, ageing and diseases.

I dont know about anyone else, but I dont want my body to continue its growth, in more ways than one!!

Newsnight is almost over and its bedtime. My aim to go to sleep earlier last night resulted in a bad nights sleep, so I’ll try again tonight!

    Kay x

Friday at last! Hope everyones doing ok πŸ™‚

Well, I managed my fast day yesterday. Its so hard at the moment, I think, because work is SO quiet. I literally sat here yesterday with hardly anything to do, and it dragged like crazy. Of course, I think about food and eating when its like that! I was getting a bit mad at it all yesterday, but refused to let it beat me!

NFD today πŸ™‚ Going to try and keep it low, but at least I can eat at lunchtime πŸ™‚

Its Friday at last, I hope you all have a great weekend. Have you anything nice planned? Me and my fella are going away in our campervan on Saturday and staying over in Stafford, then going to a VW show on the Sunday. We’re really into the classic VW’s .. so I’m really looking forward to getting away. Usually the camp overs of the past involve lots of vino, I must try and behave myself this time though. I don’t want to undo any of the work I’ve done since January!

    Have fun everyone xx

    Morning all

This week’s weigh in shows 1lb loss, happy with that after such a disastrous weekend but I need to find a way to make the weekends better so weekdays aren’t just damage limitation. The totals are 28 pounds down (the two stone mark- yay), 19 lbs to go, current bmi 26.4.

Well done Lynne! A stone in a month is incredible! I am like a snail in comparison. Lol.

DF, well done on getting through a tough FD. I did manage to enter the kitchen and leave it again unscathed. Never has a pork chop looked so good! Just keep on keeping on. Have a great weekend. I love those classic VWs. We don’t have one, daughter and family have a bongo, great but without that charming VW look. Try to keep the wine down a bit. I am possibly the least likely person to be giving or taking that advice but I know it makes a difference with me….

Kay, hope Neil better today and Ellie starts to turn a corner soon. Hugs

Audrey, hope you are arising like a phoenix out of the dust and into a lovely new kitchen.

Hemmy, hope your bedroom shopping went well and bedroom looking lovely. Sadly I get a bit overexcited about this sort of stuff. Good luck fasting today.

Jean and Steve, hope the jet lag beginning to subside. It is nice to be home and Spring is round the corner, plenty of white jeans wearing opps coming up.

Angela good luck at vets with marmite.

Tammy, good luck for weighing, you deserve a good number with all those FDs.

Good luck today fasters or weighers, stay strong all.

I really need to be careful as going to niece’s 21st birthday celebration which means a weekend at sisters, meal out cake and the like. I am looking forward to it but I need to be more mindful and not drink too much either. Might go and see 20th century womanhood tonight with NO fish and chips after!! xx

    Morning

Lynn brilliant loss for the month

    Sarah well done

DF well done it’s never easy when work is quiet, at the moment I am sitting for 4hrs everyday at work twiddling my thumbs, keep hoping they move me on.

Well am disappointed, who am I kidding I am gutted that I have just lost 1lb, I know I should be happy with this and I am, I was just hoping for a bit more, hey Ho, next week will be here soon enough.

    Tammy x

Off to the vets…and Neil has an appointment at Doctors this morning…

Weight….maintained….need to start doing this properly. I’m with you Sarah! I need to control the weekends so I don’t have to spend all week clawing it back!

    Well done all x

    Morning all

Surprised everyone with being in the office before 9 this morning, the perks of no school run! NFD today, managed a good fd yesterday and not too hungry now.

Boyfriend bringing round a tesco meal deal tonight with wine as a bit of a treat and then tomorrow we are out drinking with some friends which could spell disaster – I haven’t drunk any lager since the start of the year so I might just stick to a few glasses of red instead and try to stay sensible.

Decided to make the most of being child free and just booked to have my hair cut this afternoon, we have a salon at work and as I booked on the day I’ll get 50% off, hasn’t been cut in over a year so long overdue.

Have a great day everyone, Clare x

Good morning FB Brits hope all is well with you and yours. Xx

Hopefully another lovely uplifting sunny day.

Clare… try to tell yourself today … it is a Clare night. Pamper your self bit… The mind is soo powerful. Xx PS just read your mail and you sound organised. enjoy your hair do. Xx

Kay .. good luck with weigh in.

Sorry you now have the worry of Neil as well along with Ellie. Healing positive thoughts going to you all. Xx

DF .. Have a lovely day with something nice to look forward too tomoz. Xx

Sarah.. Well done girl losing that pound. Its the way to go slowly but surely. Yay Xxxx

Tammy … well done on your pound. This loss is a funny old thing .. I tend to lose 2 days after a fast. Xx

.Bedroom looking all female.. Lol Lots of country roses around with a stripe. Old cottage style.

My body is spring cleaning today. Lolol ( Just love that Kay) Xx

Brit lovelies…Make it happen today, we all have choices to make. Make them count, no matter how small.

Tammy, take heart. It is not linear. You lost 5 last week amd it has to even out a bit.

Kay, a pact this weekend then to be mindful and controlled.

    Hemmy, bedroom sounds divine.

Good morning all. I’ve not disappeared I’m on a cruise for 2 weeks with no WiFi. Managed to connect to the port so just saying I’m still here.
Obviously fasting is difficult and I’m tied to what the ship gives me because of my Coeliacs but I’m having lots of salad and veg. The booze might be a problem but 2 weeks in a confined space with my OH means I need a drink 😡
Keep up the good work everyone and I’ll join you all again when I get back.

    Morning everyone

FD today, spring cleaning me! I also need to tackle the bathroom floor as daughter has used talc after a shower and the floor is covered in a white paste. It’s a non slip surface as well, a nightmare to clean, so it’ll be an arm workout with a deck scrub. My daughter seems determined to make my life difficult, she’s also tidied (sort of) her room, which as always produces 3 piles on the landing. Rubbish to take to the tip, clothes for the charity shop and the biggest pile – the washing. Think she may need to have a life skills lesson and learn to use the washing machine and iron!

Tammy, you’ve had some great loss, this is just a blip but better than a gain.

DF and Clare you seem to have your weekends planned, hope you both enjoy.

Kay, hope both Neil and Ellie have successful appointments and problems get sorted.

Audrey – not long now, it’ll be worth it. Thanks for the dance.

Angela, good luck with Marmite, our fur babies mean so much to us.

Sarah, 1lb is great after the hectic weekend. Only 19lb to go, so another milestone reached.

Jean, hope your getting over the jet lag and enjoying some home time.

Carol, you just have to go with the flow. Hope your managing to get some warm weather.

    Take care everyone, Lynne x

    Morning All..

I had a good sleep last night hope it gets me back in the swing..Steve unsettled! Last wash in now so will be an ironing day later…three loads…the fun of holidays.

No day off for us today…fruit for breakfast for me..shopping later.

Kay…sorry to hear things are not great…hope Neil is OK after the doctors ( hayfever?) and Ellie after the vets…you have a lot of worry at the moment.

DF…have a great weekend away in the camper-van…Audrey and I feel for you, as both caravaners, wine and food it’s our downfall..have fun but stay strong…lol…I am chomping at the bit to get away in the van…

Sarah…well done on your pound off…28 lbs a great loss… enjoy your film this evening and your nieces party celebrations this weekend..

Tammy….1 lb is great loss going in the right direction….you can’t loose loads every week, we all wish but can’t…πŸ˜‚

Clare…lovely to get the hair cut…how can you go a year without a cut…I think my appointment is this week must check..every 6 weeks is me….50% off is a good deal..

Hemmy…your house sounds wonderful….the feminine side sounds about right…your garden but inside..lol..

I am joining you with the body housework, I always think tummy rumbles as eating the fat….I will go with both..lol

Audrey..hoping you get some units in today…it comes together quick the first bits very slow..πŸ˜€

Lynne…good luck on the floor do a good work out….you must get your daughter sorted out show her the washer and throw away the talc! With two daughters I lost that years ago..πŸ˜‚..( I only have mine for my feet in summer…shhh)

Sarah and Kay…..joining in on the pact with you both a pull back weekend, I must also take care my Friday off is going into the weekend too much….no Friday off today!!

The weekend looming…have a good one everybody especially the workers..πŸ˜€

    Jean x

Not good news at the vets. They have kept her in πŸ™

They going to have to remove the horrible sore lump, and take biopsies of new ones, plus blood tests.
Hopefully she will be home with us this evening.

Half an hour and then Drs with Neil. Both eyes are swollen up now and the rash is quite angry so I think he has had an allergic reaction to something.

Just had half a kit kat….well half a 4 finger kit kat….for breakfast with my black coffee πŸ™
But I’ll add it into MFP and try and stay healthy for rest of day.

Will catch up with posts later x

Carol….lovely to hear from you..I wondered if it was the cruise time…have a lovely time and have some space from hubby…hide and seek runs past my mind..lol

Keep in touch if you can and are in port….enjoy…

    Jean x

Kay…sorry to hear about Ellie, hope they can get to the bottom of it….where is the sore?

Symba had one on her neck for 6 months it just wouldn’t heal…we left it because on her age…antibiotics and cream didn’t help…..so the vet cut the lump and a bit of the sore out, sewed it up and she was fine…fingers crossed…

Hope Neil gets sorted, sounds like anti histermine tablets needed…..he sounds sore…

    Jean x

Well Neil is now on steroid tabs as the anti-histamines didnt work. Its just an allergic reaction to something so it should hopefully calm down soon.

Ellies lump, this is the 2nd one, needs cutting out as its full of yuk. And the skin around it is inflamed. Its on her side. The more worrying thing is that she has lots of small red patches springing up all over her back, so clearly the anti-biotics arent doing anything. So either she is resistant to them or its not a bacterial infection.
This is her 2nd op and anaesthetic in less than 2 months but Ive not heard from the vets which hopefully is good news.

Hopefully we can bring her home later and then just wait for blood results and biopsy results.

Just had a message from my niece saying that a scan she had showed a tiny swelling in her brain which is affecting her thyroid, which is good to know what is the underlying cause of the problems she has been having but still needs sorting.

Good grief, hopefully nothing else is going to happen!

Just thinking about marmite and wondering how he/she is?

    Afternoon all

What a lot going on with everyone and not necessarily good, Neil, Ellie, marmite, Nieces, Audrey your back?, hope I have covered everyone

Carol hope you are enjoying your cruise despite oh.

Sitting in car waiting on school getting out craving chocolate, but know my stomach won’t like it so have had a breakfast biscuit instead, have eaten far too much bread today even for a nfd, not sure what is for tea.

Hope all fasts are going good, think we haven’t heard from some people this week, cookie springs to mind, hope your doing good.

    Maybe catch you again later

    Tammy xxx

Kay…. hope the steroids work….I must of missed the anti- histamines maybe while away, he will be feeling sorry for himself..your niece also another worry…a lot on your plate at the moment..πŸ’•

    Angela…any news on marmite?

Tammy…keep strong no chocolate…lol…passing the fresh cake isle in Lidl I said to Steve No cakes and cookies…lol

There’s a fair few people missing at the moment….have they passed over the 5.2 or lurking or struggling…they need to keep popping in to keep on track….

Jacket potato and a pork chop for dinner, beans for Steve, I usually have a bit of cheese on potato…having a cuppa now just got in from shopping.

I have to polish, vacuum and clean my two leather sofas they are going to a charity shop tomorrow…new sofas coming on Monday….caravan chairs out for the weekend in the lounge ..πŸŒžβ›± and 17 degrees for Monday brought a bit of weather back for us all…lol

    Jean x

    Hi All,

Sorry for the silence last night and today. Hubby and I went for dinner last night and one too many cocktails as a belated Valentines. Shame I undid my good work as yesterday I was showing 1.5lb loss for this week, and today… a maintain πŸ™ I’m hoping it’s food in transit.

Well don Sarah and Tammy on your losses. You’ve both done so fantastically. My total is still only 9.5lb loss. I really must get a grip on how I spend my social time. Even tonight will be eating out as I haven’t managed to go food shopping this week! Arrggh.

Kay, so sorry to hear Ellie’s had to stay in the vets. Let’s hope they get to the bottom of it for you.

Well I’m just back from the vets with Marmite. After much struggling they managed to check her blood pressure and it’s exceptionally high, likely to be the cause of her sudden blindness causing her retinas to detach. I’ve just had a fight with her getting her to take 1/2 a blood pressure tablet (hiding it in a prawn didn’t work) and then had to chase her round the kitchen clearing up the trail of poo she’s left as she’s a bit stressed and had an accident. She’s currently doped up on the narcotics again to try to calm her down so she’s sat in the middle of the kitchen meowing her head off. The vet says it’s possible, but not guaranteed, that if we can get her blood pressure down that her retinas could reattach. It’s a watch and wait and then I have to take her back in 2 weeks to see if her BP has improved.

Hope everyone else is ok? xx

    Angela…

That sounds a nightmare poor little love, she will be so frightened and not know what’s happening. Lets hope you can get the tablets in her and her eyes improve. A lot of TLC needed..for both of you..

Glad you enjoyed your belated valentines meal and cocktails..

    Jean x

    Hi Jean,
She’s still just meowing at me and running around bumping into everything bless her. Definitely cuddles time for her when she settles down a little.

Thank you for bringing the warmer weather back with you. It’s positively tropical today. I’m looking forward to getting in the garden in a couple of weeks once we should be safely past the frosts. xx

Sooo how did the fasting go today girls.

Found it hard as did 2 hours non stop walking because we lost Mr Pips lead. Had to backtrack. So really hungry. Ended on about 600… ok though think we can claim a hundred cals leeway. Lolol

Hope all are doing well. Xxxx

Well we have had a good first day…come in at 650 calories not a FD but running close…but too many carbs….fancy on my day off!! Never been known before..lol

Looking at a curry tomorrow night, I will have to count up for tomorrow may change my mind.

    Have a good weekend all

    Jean x

Sym… well done you and Steve. Sounds brilliant for a first day back… especially on your day off. Usually your wonderful haddock and chips. .. well done both. Xxxx

Hemmy…do you have company this weekend?

Is Kirsty being separated from the boyfriend…lol

Just read the lost lead…glad you found it…so you have Mum and maybe Kirsty??

    Jean x

Omg a bad afternoon and evening…

Played the waiting game for the vets to ring and they finally rang at 4 but they wanted to keep her until 6. Picked up her up but she was still woozy and ended up bashing her nose, so she looks like rudolph now!
But worse still, she has massive wound from where they cut the lump out – it was bigger than they expected so bigger cut.
They also cut out 2 small bits which were starting to form, to send as biopsies, and left another bit shaved just to show how the red skin is starting to change.

So basically she has loads of shaved patches and 3 cuts with stitches ranging from 1.5 inch to 6 inches…she looks like shes been butchered πŸ™

It was a while before she started to come round properly but then the evening has been…. a bit of incontinence (not me), shaking and trembling, finally eating a bit so we can give her the meds she needs, finally a visit to the garden to do what she needed to do, more shaking, her first ever sort of snap (at me) as I touched her in the wrong place, and now finally some sort of calm…

Neil still looks like he has been in boxing ring and faired badly, but he made tea whilst I sat on floor with ellie.

Food…quorn mince in gravy with mash and veg….

    Drink…cider Im afraid…could have been worse…

Heres hoping for a better day tomorrow x

Kay, that sounds so, so tough. Poor Ellie and poor you, Neil too. Thinking of you all and sending positive vibes and healing hugs. Xxx

Angela, hope you can get the tablets down marmite and that the retinas attach again. My loss has been slow and steady because I have been doing it pretty solidly since the beginning of September. The average is only 1lb a week. I think the trick is just to keep going.

Hemmy hope the weather was gorgeous at least for your lead detour. Well done on only a few cals over despite your long walk.

Jean, you’ve got straight back on it. What a star!

Seem to have got into the being awake half the night habit again. It happens periodically. i am sure this will all settle down once I leave work in the summer xx

    Morning all

I am still here just waiting for kitchen fitter to arrive… the units are almost up but I still have no sink or cooker as yet… hoping to be finished by Wednesday or Thursday….

I hope both cats are better soon, never good when pets are ill…

Love to all, Have a good weekend

    Audrey x

Kay, Sorry to hear poor Ellie looks butchered. Hopefully the wounds will start healing and the fur will grow back. I hope Neil is better soon too.

Aud, Not long now until you have your shiny new kitchen. You won’t want to cook in it and mess it up so lots of FDs for you after πŸ˜†

Sarah, I go through periods like that when my brain is whirring away. Sounds like you need a holiday. To lose 2lb since September is amazing and you should be proud. I’ll be happy if I have the same success.

Jean, well done for getting straight back on it after your holiday. You’re so disciplined.

I was a bit naughty last night I’m afraid. Had pasta and chips and wine and choccie biccies. I need to try and have a good weekend so I can push forward again this week. I’ve no more social engagements so hopefully I can be good. After a good night’s sleep last night I feel calm and in control so let’s see if I can break my weekend habit of eating anything and having alcohol just cos it’s the weekend.

Marmite is much better this morning and has calmed down. I still need to try and give her the dreaded tablet later. I’m sure I’ll get into a routine with her.

How’s everyone else, it seems a few people are quiet at the moment, hope you’re all staying strong. xx

    Morning All…

    A bit chilly this morning.

Kay…. I feel for you…what a bad day with Ellie, hoping she is more herself now the wooziness has worn off, she will be very sore. Fingers crossed it works, feel positive.
Also some improvement on Neil’s face and the tablets kick in and he starts to feel better. You will be pulled all ways….let things get better now for you..

Angela…thinking of Marmite too, a nightmare to get tablets down a puss…Symba left home for three days when we gave tablets to her…hope they are starting to work.

    Jean x

    Sorry Sarah, I meant 2 stone. x

    Morning all

How much do you reckon 5 inches of thick hair weighs? It feels so much better and hopefully more manageable, it was so long!

NFD today, was 500 cals over my NFD yesterday due to cake at work and then a big meal & wine. We are out for drinks tonight which will probably end in takeaway so altogether not great, hopefully 4 hours of golf today will help even it out a little 😬

Have a great day all. Clare x
