  • Serves 4 – 6
    2 x 400g cans of chic peas or frozen ones
    1 onion finely chopped
    2 carrots grated
    1 garlic glove
    1tsp ground coriander
    1tsp cumin
    pinch salt
    soften onion in a pan on low heat
    add carrots and soften further
    add crushed garlic clove and spices and mix.
    cool and make into balls. pop under grill to brown slightly. serve with 0% fat yoghurt with chopped mint and whole little gem lettuce leaves.

    Sorry folks I completely miscalculated that – if served as a snack for 6 it will be 135 cals however if served between 4 (larger portion as a meal) it is around 240 approximately.

    When do you add the chick peas? Do you mash them up?

    oops Tevy add the chick peas last. You can either whizz them up into puree then add or you can add to the mix and mash with a folk…it depends on the consistency you prefer. I prefer to mash with folk as like a mixed consistency.
