    can you please let me know if its ok to eat 3 meals on fast day. I’m starting with breakfast either a small bowl of porridge with soya milk at 6.30am or a poached egg and 2 pieces of grilled streaky bacon. Nothing until 1pm when I have an apple and 2 rice cakes and nothing until 7pm that night when I have my main meal. I can’t say I’ve noticed any major weight loss, my clothes feel a bit looser but nothing major. am I doing wrong? I don’t feel like I can skip breakfast and wait until 1pm to eat as I need to travel 1.5 hours to work and I think I might feel quite faint. Any assistance would be great.

    Are you counting the calories? I don’t think it matters how many meals you have as long as you stick to the 500 cals but that sounds like quite a lot of food to me.

    Egg & bacon breakfast: 175-200 cals
    Apple and rice cakes: 120 calories
    Dinner – you should only be eating 180 calories for your ‘main meal’ which is not much!
