  • Hello,
Before I started (10 weeks ago) the Fast Diet I rarely had dreams , or at least did not remember them in the morning. The first two weeks of the diet I was eating my fast day calories for breakfast and started having dreams (and remembering them) almost every night. I then changed to eating all my fast day calories for dinner because it was easier knowing after work I could eat something. The dreaming stopped, but then I had to travel and it was easier for me to eat all my calories that day for breakfast. Now I am on day three after that travel day and have had dreams every night. I don’t know if this is a sign that my brain is benefitting from the fasting, but I am going to go back to eating all my fast day calories in the morning and see if this continues.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

    John

    Hi Johnfe,

Yes, me too, i have very vivid dreams while fasting. We are not the only ones. I read in another forum about fasting that when we fast, the adrenaline goes up, and i can be an explanation.

Also, i wake up in the middle of the night and stay awake for like half an hour. I read that it is very common also.

    Best regards,
    Suzanne

    Hi all,

I’ve been a dreamer/rememberer (we dream every night) for years. Have also had some more intense dreaming sessions lately. Maybe growing new brain cells?!
    Are you interested in dreaming?

I have noticeably more vivid dreams the night after my fast – generally quite horror-like.
