  • Hi everyone,
I’m doing the 800 cal diabetic diet.
If I burn calories by exercise can I add them to the 800 cal total?
I’m not talking about a 10 min stroll, more a 60 min run.
    Thanks
    Cari

Exercise doesn’t burn near enough calories to even worry about, plus will make you hungrier and cause inflammation and water weight gain. Remeber the old adage “Lose weight at the table, build muscle at the gym.”

And that 800 cal. diet will cause you weight loss for a short period of time, then will only cause your metabolism to drop like a rock, and you will plateau.

Rethink what you are doing, try the 5:2 diet as it is written, join one of the groups here for support, learn how your body gains and loses weight from people who know the science behind it (www.intensivedietarymanagement.com), and you will be on the right track.

I did, and I have lost 45 lbs since last April, and kept it off, after 30 years of doing what you are attempting.
