Alcohol on non fast days?

  • I have been doing the 4:3 and 5:2 diet for the last few weeks now and I feel much better and my clothes fit so much better. I don’t like looking at the scales I’d rather go off how I look. Anyway, I have yet to have alcohol on non fast days. I was wondering how does everyone get on with alcohol while on the fasts diet? Does it effect your diet? Shall you drink alcohol or shouldn’t you?

    Hi, Up to you jackyboy – just count the calories in with you food calories for your 600cals for FDs and under TDEE for nonFDs. Congratulations on your progress so far! Most people use scales but not everyone – some use measurements and a few go by the look only. Well doneπŸ™‚

    There is no reason why you can’t have alcohol on non FDs but like everything else you need to ensure you don’t overindulge too often. When I am socialising I have a glass of water for every alcoholic drink which works well for me.

    I only have wine on a Friday and Saturday only one or two at the most. My husband would have one or two pints of beers. We drink far less now than we did but I suppose that’s good.

    We have a steady weight loss of about a pound a week….if we have any more alcohol it does slow the loss down or you keep the same. Still if it’s a way of life you have to let your hair down sometimes.

    Sometimes went out with people I have a slim line tonic in a wine glass no nobody knows if it’s wine or not. I don’t want everybody to know I am fasting / dieting

    I love my glass of wine, maybe 2 or 3 times per week. Still losing. πŸ™‚
    In my opinion, cookies and sweets do much more damage than wine.
    Even 1/2 glass of wine before bed helps to relax and to sleep well.

    But good wine, as well as good food should come in small portions. πŸ˜€
