First Day Today

  • Hi everyone. It’s my first day fasting today. I’ve worked out my intake to 591 Cals for the day. How does this look?

    1 small slice of wholemeal bread (small loaf)
    50g Baked beans
    Total cals 97
    Tin of WW soup 77 Cals
    Fruit YoYo 27 Cals
    2 x Sugar free Jelly pots 20 cals
    Tin of WW soup 97 Cals
    Quorn Lasagne 273 Cals

    Total 591

    Hi Arnie, it looks ok but you seem to have spread the food out throughout the day. The books says there should be a long period of time between meals, hence fast. The only other thing I’d say is there are load of lovely recipes in the 5:2 and fast diet books so you don’t have to rely on ready meals but of course it is easier to buy something ready counted.     Hi! After watching the horizon programme as opposed to reading the book i try to have a period of at least 16hours in a fasted state, so on my FD I’ll usually eat breakfast and possibly a cuppa soup mid morning and then just water and green tea til the following day 🙂
