  • Hellosies 🙂

I’m a newbie to all this and just starting my fast today. My goal is to lose 1.5 – 2 stone and get back to my pre-childbirth weight. Today I’ve planned on having a cup of hot water for breakfast, half a tin of tomato soup with a dry ryvita around lunch time….then for dinner a mackerel fillet with some salad leaves, a handful of cashew nuts and a tiny amount of natural yogurt dressing…one cup of tea with one sugar….I added this up to around 494 calories. O and plenty of carbonated water for when hunger pangs kick in. Wish me luck as I love my food and I’ve not got out of bed yet and am already hungry haha!

    Hello!

I’m looking to lose a similar amount post baby. I’ve lost 2 stone on a very low calorie diet but now want to lose the last stone or so more slowly. I have done 4 fasts over 2 weeks so today is the start of week 3. So far it has been great and I love the fact I can enjoy a social life without feeling I can’t join in. The bizarre thing is now I can have whatever I want within reason – I’m not that bothered!

As I have come off a very low calorie diet I am not going to weigh in until the end of March – I think there will be a period of readjustment. I can say that I feel good and that so far I think I have kept off the weight I lost on quite an extreme diet.

Thought I’d say hello as it sounds like we are in a similar boat. My little boy is 5 months.

Good luck and keep us posted on how you’re getting on!

    🙂

Morning Emylou and welcome to the forums!

sounds like you are all ready lol, am fasting too today and so quite a few others 🙂

good luck and keep us posted! 🙂

    Hello LobsterB and Angie:)

You’ve done brilliantly to lose the 2 stone Lobster, well done…my last child just turned six yrs old and I’ve slowly been gaining ever since having her (with my other children I went back to a slimmer me after without much effort, so maybe age has something to do with it lol) so now need to take some decisive action. I can see what you mean about feeling less bothered about food now that you can eat whatever you like on the 5 days…it’s like when people tell you can’t have something, you want it more lol. Good luck, I hope it works out for you and you lose the last bit of weight that you want to 🙂

Thanks for the welcome Angie 🙂 I’ve chosen Monday and Thursday as fasting days…I’m hungry now (haven’t eaten yet) am worried come lunchtime when I do come to eat I won’t be able to stop! Haha. Hope it’s going well for you 🙂

    Well keep us posted Emylou!

I have 1 small egg and 2 egg whites scrambled, which is quite filling, plus a muller Greek yogurt and a few raspberries chucked in at around noon. Total 200 cals. In the morning I have a strong coffee with sweetener to keep me going until lunch.

At about 6pm I put into my food processor carrot, onion, tomato, chilli, garlic and cook it with 100g chicken breast and curry spices and it makes a huge bowl of curry – I serve it will Zero rice. Total 300.

    I haven’t really felt hungry.

I also use my veggie base and add tagine type spices, cinnamon and ginger and use Quorn meatballs – only 80 cals for half a bag. Really tasty!

I’m really pleased my gorgeous husband is doing it with me too – it’s nice to have a buddy. He just turned 37 and is starting to realise he can’t eat and drink anything and get away with it now. Having children does change your perspective I think!

Enjoy and I will post my results at the end of the month 🙂

Ah brilliant, thanks for the food tips, great to have some new ideas :). My hubby is doing it too …it helps spur the other on as we’re both quite competitive lol…good luck and look forward to seeing your results end of month 🙂
