  • Well here we go again, really hoping this will work for me but hopeful that it will fit in with m lifestyle. Tried every diet under the sun , the only one that has really worked for me was but the no carb diet, lost 2.5 stone but had to stop as I was really ill, not sure if it was the diet but hubby convinced it was so here I am with all the weight back (18 months later) on and feeling unhealthy again so I was recommended this by a friend and hoping for success. Any feedback or support appreciated .

My 1st day as well lost weight for my daughters wedding dropped 2 dress sizes but since then weight has crept up by 12 lbs hoping this diet will not only help me lose weight but help maintain afterwards. Good luck

    Hi bharrington

you sound a bit down, good job you have found your way to this forum, hopefully you will find this isnt a diet, its a way of eating and a way of life!

Costs nowt, and nowt it forbidden. Hard days come occasionally, but it is never the end, never a need go give up. It will fit into hour lifestyle and works around a changing socisl life. You will feel hungry sometimes, but only a day at a time. And you will appreciate the difference between proper hunger and judt wanting go eat.

They say perfect preparation prevents piss poor performance, so read the site, plan your fast days and eat mindfully on non fast days. Even if hou hate calorie counting, tty itcfor a few weeks go get into the way of eating less than you need, see ‘getting started’

Hi sleepyjean3525, great goal in mind, give yourself a ressonable timescale, and two or three weeks to get started, and best of luck.

Join the forums for support, there are newbies, folk well into their journeys and folk on maintenance. Some there will inspire you.

I wish you both the very best of luck.

First day for me too and so far so good. Expected to be hungry but helping me to realize that I just graze all day because it’s there. Tried every diet under the sun but get bored and hate that certain foods not allowed. This seems to make so much sense so hoping it works as a lifestyle change and not just another diet.

Welcome, just finished my third fast day and I’m finding it pretty easy. I’ve been successful with long term weight loss. (70 lbs for 20 years) For me the keys have been to plan my meals, clean out my pantry of all junk foods, surround myself with like minded people, participate in group support like this site, and short intense HIT style workouts.

You can do this, we are here to support you.

Thanks everyone that has sent a message, good luck to all those who are also at the beginning of the diet, I have been surprised, not been hungry really, so first fast day nearly over without any problems. One day at a time and hopefully this will become a way of life. Work tomorrow so will take your advice and plan what to take with me, Thanks for the advice and support

hi bharrington, I’ve just started too, this is my very first fast day. I’m glad to hear your first day seems to have gone well, hope it continues to work for you.

Only my third day of fasting and I lost 2lbs the first week, so that is motivation enough for me to keep going. It is tough, there’s no denying that but other diets made me feel like I was fasting every day which is why I gave up on them.
As I talk myself out of healthy eating and have a terrible ‘oh sod it’ approach when seeing cakes or looking in my fridge for what to eat, I bought the 3 week trial fast kitchen pack so that I don’t have any excuse that I don’t have tasty food within my calories to hand. Obviously you don’t have to buy their food but definitely worth preparing your fast days so that you don’t cheat or accidentally eat too much.
It’s also about being mindful on your non fast days. Apparently after awhile you automatically want less food on non fast days, I hope that happens soon!
Anyway, good luck and let us know how you get on.

    Hi gennyt

Hope todays gone ok for you, my 2nd fast day tomorrow so hoping will be as good as the 1st day, not getting weighed yet though, hope you have success with the diet

    Hi SJH19

I was going to buy the three week food plan but thought i would see how i go first, I am better when i have set things to eat but trying to plan better, whats the food like? Do you recommend it.
I have only just started and found the fast day ok, i think your right its the non fast days that need you to be mindful of what you are eating. Thanks for the support

I would definitely recommend the food. It is very tasty and has that freshly made feel. Must admit I prefer my own soups but don’t have much time to make them and was worried about counting the calories correctly. I bought them more because I really wanted to give myself the best chance of making this diet work at the early stages. The thing is that I’m one of those dieters that kid themselves when counting calories and end up having more than I thought, so while I was thinking positive I thought let’s get that problem out of the way.
Although I’m only in my second week I think it will take a few weeks to get to know what works best and to organise ourselves.
