  • Whilst ‘talking’ with symba7 she told me that she was trying to get back into her wedding dress and possibly wear it for their tenth anniversary, I thought that was a great idea! Rockyromero said he didn’t have a dress! but would have to buy new trousers and would be renewing his vows on his tenth anniversary too!
What a great challenge. I don’t have a wedding dress, mine went ‘west’ 40 years ago so I bought a really nice dress one size too small to join in. I hope to get into my ‘wedding’ dress by Christmas. Why not join the challenge? It’s a good incentive.

My wedding dress is big on me as I have previously by other means lost weight.

I have since put about 24llb of that weight back on and need to shift it – I have managed 12llb doing the 5:2 but would love the other 12llb off for Santa coming so that is my 1st challenge.

2nd challenge is to loose about 24llb for my holiday to Florida next August, would love to have the figure to wear vest top t shirts and my muffin top not show or wobble!!!

Coincidentaly I’ve just ordered a red dress a size too small and so delighted to come across this post. The dress will be delivered in 5 weeks (currently out of stock)and it will be prefect for wearing at Christmas.

    Bring it on!!!

What a fab idea! I don’t have a wedding dress but my wedding outfit has been hanging in the wardrobe for the past 18 so I will try it on!

Hi Auiga…….. and others trying to get into the that special dress or trousers,

I am into my Wedding Dress and Mother of the Brides Dress, I am sooooo pleased. It’s 10 and 11 years ago since worn.

In July when I tried it on, I was 4″ to big in the middle and it pulled on the hips and bust. It fits beautifully. I shall be wearing the Mothers of the Brides dress in July when I am going on a cruise.

This way of eating is so amazing, it must be making a lot of people happy.

    Congrats Symba!

My goal is a pair if NZ size 8 jeans that fitted me in March 2012 when I was a very fit 62kg. I am hoping they will fit for Christmas as I have refused to buy any in a bigger size so need them to fit as it gets colder.

    Good luck to everyone!!

Thanks and good luck to you

Oh wow !! congratulations symba7 and very well done! I can get my ‘special’ dress on now and do it up, but it’s a bit tight still……nearly there though and it’s not Christmas yet.
I am SO pleased for you symba7 ! and good luck too to those trying this challenge.

    Auriga,

I was a bit snug a few weeks ago, so you will make it for Christmas.

    Good luck

Despite feeling rather blurgh today, I snuck I try on of my jeans. They went up!! I had to wiggle a little, and they certainly won’t do up, but they didn’t get past my thighs a week or two ago so yippee!!

Well done there Iwant2bincontrol…you’re doing really well congratulations! I haven’t tried my dress on since I last posted, I might try today.

Thanks! Sounds like you weren’t far off when you last tried, so good luck!!

Fabulous idea I would love to join in.

I bought a lovely dress in the Next sale – thought it was reduced from £55 to £15 and when I got to the till it was £7! No way I couldn’t buy it but its a 12 and I am a very definite 14. I will definitely be focusing on this now – thank you for the inspiration 🙂

I have a pair of trousers that I used to wear a lot… They’re actually army-style, desert camo I believe. It’s been so long I’ve worn them O.O I’m even wondering whether I still have them…

Anyway, fitting into those would be awesome!! It’s gonna take a while though and I won’t know whether I’ll fit for another 10 months when I come home… But still 😉

Good luck Lardilass and Nika, the challenge is on !

Guess what team!! I got my jeans on this morning!!!! They create a bit of a muffin top which definitely needs to go, and are a bit tight on my hipbones, but they are up and done up! When I started 5:2 they got stuck half way up my thighs. It is a) really nice to have proof that I am getting smaller – apart from the measurements of course, and b) a relief that I don’t have to buy new jeans!
    How is everyone else going??

    Iwant2Bincontrol, WOOOHOOO!!! Well done!

I hope all the others on the thread are doing great, I’d love to hear about your snazzy outfits 🙂

Hello everyone, just to report that I can wear my dress! I have dropped a whole dress size now and lost almost 7 kilos. My start weight was 67 kilos and it’s 60.4 kilos now. I am spending more time on the ‘sister site’ these days, but thought I’d pop in to congratulate those who’ve succeeded! Good luck everyone.

This is the ‘sister site’ http://www.52fastdiet.co.uk/

Whooo congrats people! ^^ Well those camo pants are a long way away still, but my current jeans are now coming off without undoing them and my belt is tighter 🙂
Hmm maybe I should’ve set a better goal than one that I won’t be able to fulfil until I get home…

I thought it would be a good idea to update this thread. Having started this back last October and posting at Christmas that I could wear the dress I can now say that the dress I longed to get into is now miles too BIG! I had to give it away to charity recently. I am ecstatic that I have gone down two dress sizes………whooppeeeee!
