Starting tomorrow!

  • I’m a 18 year old trying to lose weight. I have tried to do the 5:2 fast before, but I always ended up somehow eating more than I should have or not sticking to my plans. I want to change that because I would like to get to 100 lbs by prom (May 30th!).

    Currently I’m 128lbs (possibly some bloat weight due to getting off track) and 4’11” (149 cm). That looks a little low on the BMI chart, but surprisingly, there’s a separate BMI chart for Asians. I always get to 120lbs and get off track, so I’m hoping I can really stick to the 5:2 fast this time!

    Hi, I’m starting today, but I weigh a lot more than you !! Lol , I was shocked when I weighed myself this morning, im189 lbs !! So this is going to be long term ! I am used to fasting for one month a year, but that’s a different type of fast to this !! Lol, but I wish you every success with you diet.

    started this week – not quite sticking to 500 on fasting days but easing myself in. want to lose 5/6kg. Good luck!

    Welcome Penggu, Avrat1, SoniaN and Keryn. Remember that we are all different. Stay positive. Read the FAQ link and other links at the top of the page. Check out other posters such as Simeocluv, he gives links to help all posters. Many of the posters here are superb and give good advice, and reading their posts give support. Do not get down heartened or give up if things do not go your way. Do not pig out on your Feed days, eat as normally as you can, (in a perfect world) but enjoy yourselves with this. Make sure your targets are healthy and achievable.

    My first fast day is a success I think. Not sure if i’ll do consecutive fast days or not, so we’ll see how I feel tomorrow.
