Starting today

  • Hope I can stick to this. Not sure why I felt the need to pig out last night, in last supper fashion! Husband says I’m evil when I’m hungry, so wish them luck as well!

    I’m starting today too – attempting a small lunch and dinner but struggling already!

    I started yesterday and survived! It wasn’t actually that bad so now I’m on day 2 I can eat again – will still try to stay sensible though (if I can). My next fast day is Friday because if I don’t, guaranteed the wine will come out and all the nibbles that go with it!

    Oh i am starting today as well, thought I’d go straight in with the “fast” day, going OK so far 🙂 good luck

    Good luck to all of you! I fasted yesterday week 4 day 1 and honestly it gets better and better. Personally I found week 1 great, I had the motivation thing going. Week 2 and 3 I wavered slightly on a couple of the days seemed extra hungry but I pushed through them. Now I feel like I’m an old hat at this thing. I only ate 503 calories yesterday and burned 793 calories biking so I was in a major deficient by the time this morning rolled around. (note: don’t eat back any exercise calories on a fast day) Give it time and it truly will become a way of life for you!!

    Thanks for the replies. Confess I do feel v hungry now! Going to have smoked fish and some roasted veg for dinner, and looking forward to tomorrow. My husband is doing it as well, but fasted from after dinner last night and will eat again ( properly) tonight. I have to wait till tomorrow morning. Ouch. I think tonight will be the hardest, as snacks are my nemesis.

    Hoping tea and coffee won’t affect the fasting process too much. I’ve not had much, and working on the basis that hydration – and not falling off the wagon – are more important. Not a huge fan of water with lemon.

    Definitely better when I’m occupied. I will be at work on my next fast day – it may be easier.
