  • Is there a consensus on water only fasting? What I want to know is if it is a better way to lower the IGN1 or not, if it helps lose weight faster etc. I know Dr.M uses the 500 cal method to be more sustainable but is water only “better” for our health? And anyone who uses this method I would love to hear how it is working for you.

    I think the consensus is do what works best for you.

    From a weight loss stand point, if you were eating 500 calories on diet days and went to zero for the two days, you would take an additional 1000 calories out of your diet for the week and lose an additional four or five ounces.

    I don’t know about IGN1 levels.
