  • Hello everyone .. I’ve read so much about the 5:2 diet and I am excited (and nervous) about starting it . I’ve decided my first fast day will be tomorrow, so I haven’t eaten anything since 7.30 pm this evening ! A not about me .. I’m a 40 years old female 5ft 3 and weigh 12 stone so wuite overweight. To be honest I’m doing this to look and feel better as my self confidence has gone down the drain !! So hopefully I will stick to this diet ! Please come and say hi and would like any advice for what I can eat tomorrow x

    You have hit upon one of the hardest things on 5:2 – what to eat. Because you can eat anything you want as long as you stay at or under 5/600 calories. Many people find eating high fat/protein food helps with hunger.

    Thank you so much Simcoeluv! Can I just confirm that my last meal was around 7.30pm last night so, today my fasting day, I’ll eat up to 5/600 Cals only .. Go to bed tonight then eat normally from 7.30 am on Wednesday ? Hope this makes sense !

    That’s right. 500 if you are a woman, 600 if you are a man.
