  • Hi everyone. I have started this diet today having tried other ways to lose weight I am hoping this is something that will fit well round my lifestyle. I have an underactive thyroid and have been told by my gp to accept I will always be overweight now due to this (2stone)……errr no I don’t think so!!

    Anyway fasting today and Thursday. Just had water up to now and going to eat later. Was planning on low calories ready meals on my fast days just so I know exactly what I have had calorie wise.

    Loving reading the inspirational stories….I really think I can do this 🙂

    Try not to starve yourself Calscar. It gets too depressing and that can cause one to abandon the diet. A one-egg omelet with plenty of fried onions and tomato inside can make a great breakfast alongside a cuppa. A homemeade soup that has had all the fat skimmed off goes well at lunchtime and a 200 cal dinner will keep the wolf from the door. As long as the snack cupboard is kept closed on the fast day- this will work!

    Thanks canukus. My thinking was to fast as long as possible to shock the body rather than feed it at intervals in the hope weight loss would be better? I like the sound of your day better though :-). Think I will work out some menus…..I am so keen to be a week down the line to see the weight loss as it seems to good to be true lol

    Wow!! Had my first weigh in today and lost 6lbs in a week!! I am so happy as not felt like a diet at all. Managing to go about 20 hours on my fast days before eating so its working for me, also noticed on my eat days that I cannot manage to finish a meal so helping with portion sizes too! I love it 🙂
