  • Hi my name is Kirsty.
    I’m 5ft5″ and although I have a problem with my pelvis I am reasonably fit and active, exercising 3 times a week.
    I weigh 80.9kg and my initial target is 75kg hopefully by June.
    I have done one day fast and am due to do my 2nd of the week tomorrow (thursday). I’m due to weigh in on Monday, my other fasting day of the week.
    I am using lighter life 5:2 as it’s worry free and hassle free controlled calories. I especially liked the porridge.
    I managed Monday quite well (my first fast day), although I wouldn’t say it was easy.
    I have started to adapt my exercise as well to a version of fast exercise where I’m doing high intensity interval training, a little more than the fast diet book because I need to as I love exercise.
    I’ve enjoyed reading some stuff on the forum as it’ll become invaluable to me as a source of support on those days that I’m struggling.

    Well my first weigh in tomorrow. I’ll post tomorrow evening.
    Thursday was a little difficult in the morning and I came to login to the forum and it was down for essential maintenance. I persevered and sailed though the afternoon.
    I’m doing Monday, Wednesday and possibly Friday this week depending on how I feel.
    I’m enjoying reading success stories and it’s obvious what a huge amount of support the forum offers.

    Well I weighed in yesterday.
    I weighed 80kg after a pretty carefree weekend.
    That’s 0.9kg lost yippee
    It’s not just in my head but my clothes are feeling slightly looser than they did.
    I’m happy with around 1kg loss a week as I really only want to lose 5kg.
    I’ve promised myself that I’ll do it for lent and if I feel better and have successfully lost weight I’ll more than likely continue on with it then. Possibly looking to get down to 70kg, but I’m on track and that’s where I want to be.
    I have also calculated my visceral fat which is 7.
    My body fat percentage is much worse at almost 40% and I’m not at all happy with that. I’ll keep you posted on those levels as time goes on.
